Saturday Sellout-Alan Keyes

Introducing you to another Saturday Sellout, Dr. Alan Keyes.

Born on Long Island, New York, he has his BA and doctorate from Harvard and was a roommate of William Kristol.   He began his career as a diplomat in 1979 as a protege of  UN ambassador Jeane Kirkpatrick

Keyes defended the Reagan Administration's policy of not imposing sanctions on the South African government as punishment for its apartheid policies.

He was appointed to the United Nations Economic and Social Council and later Assistant Secretary of State for International Organizations

He's run for president on the GOP ticket three times, in 1996, 2000, and 2008 and for the US Senate in 1988, 1992 and 2004 when he got trounced by then Illinois state senator Barack Obama .   That probably explains why he has his hate on for President Obama.

Keyes was an enthusiastic birther who filled a dismissed lawsuit in 2008 demanding he prove that he was a 'natural born citizen', and was busted protesting President Obama's commencement speech at Notre Dame University in 2009.

Keyes was an Iraq War defender and as an anti-abortion and anti-gay Catholic is an enthusiastic supporter of the Federal Marriage Amendment to the US constitution banning same gender marriage.

The former conservative pundit, talk show host and columnist is on the boards of many conservative organizations such as the Eagle Forum, the Catholic League, and the American Life League.

One well deserved Oreo cookie goes to Dr. Alan Keyes.
