Robert Byrd not only long since said that his membership in the Klan was a 'mistake', something that you conservaidiots continually ignore, Sen Byrd also averaged an 'A' voting record on his NAACP Civil Rights Report card and voted affirmatively on much civil rights legislation later in his career.
Speaking of that NAACP civil rights report card, which tracks how receptive Congress is to the concerns of African-Americans:
