Grading The Prez

Most of the time these types of polls I ignore, but not this time.

MSNBC has posted a poll asking you to grade the president's performance, and as you probably guessed, the conservahaters are flooding it with 'F' grades.

So lets do our part to balance their bull and Moni will make it easy for you. here's the link to the poll.

Thank you. You did make it easy to grade The President, however he's done everything to warrant an F . Okay, not an F, but a very solid D.

The entire time between the election and the inauguration, he gave near daily news conferences from his " Office of the President-Elect" podium. During this precious time he should have been vetting his potential staff. By the time his nomination were made over a half dozen have backed out or faced serious controversy.3 more last wek.

He campaigned on posting every bill on the internet for 5 days before signing it. What happen to the "Stimulus Package' or the supplemental spending bill?

The end of earmarks. Only to sign the 410 billion dollar spending bill on top of the stimulus package, which, was chock full of pork.

He hasn't fostered ANY bipartisanship in the first 50 day, well 1400 to go.....

Then there's the Treasury Department. In our current economic situation( worst economy since the Depression! HA! My arse, I lived through the 70's.)

Paul Volcker, an Obama economic adviser and former Federal Reserve chairman, called the situation at the Treasury "shameful" last week. Mr Geithner has a 50-person "shadow cabinet" of intended appointees but they have no authority to take any decisions. Geither, who felt the tax code too complicate to properly file his taxes is running the ship at Treasury? Crazy. For all the down talking he did about the economy and the seriousness of the situation prior to the election, he has failed to react to it sufficiently.

He was woefully prepared on Day One.

He is proving himself to be nothing more than another Chicago politician. Full of empty promises, graft and contempt.

Fool me once, shame on you....

OMG, I know! Could you believe that?! Have you been back? It's changed drastically since.

Jenna,
The man has been in office 50 days and has done far more in office during that time than the previous dictator in thief did in eight country wrecking years.

If you'd turn off Faux News you'd see that.

I just added to the growing chorus of As. Lots of those! I'm not surprised at the extremes in the vote. Some people hated Obama before and still do, regardless of what he's done.

If you spot it, you got it...

Monica, I've only expressed fact, not opinion or bombastic rhetoric.

I'm grading the man on what he's done, or more importantly what he's NOT done, in the 50 days.( Plus the over 5 months prior since the convention) such as vet and put key people in place, draft key legislation favorable to his campaign platform(no earmarks).

I'm grading him on broken promises, which in my book makes him no better or no worse the the previous President.

So if you "believe" he's "done far more in office during that time than the previous dictator in thief did in eight country wrecking years", please make you case.

FACTS work for me. However there are no facts to support that statement because he hasn't. That statement is a personal bias in defense of a political viewpoint which refuses to take critical analysis into account.

I'm an American and I support my President. I'm not a Conservative, or a Liberal. I don't form my opinions or position based on these terms.

President Obama campaigned for two years on "Change" and has produced nothing more than the same.

Will his grade go up, ABSOLUTELY.

As soon as he honors more of his promises...

You and I must be living in very different countries right now, because he's been more transparent than either of the governments I can remember living under. Whitehouse.gov itself was a huge change from before. When he has made mistakes he has apologized for them instead of not even being willing to admit to them. That's a huge change from before. He's opened up more documents to scrutiny than either administration too.

*shrug* Perhaps it's not what you were looking for but to say he's "just more of the same" just seems disingenuous to me.
