Shut Up Fool! Awards-Justice Stevens Retiring Edition

Well, we knew it was going to happen sooner or later, but soon to be in eleven days 90 year old Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens (who votes with the liberal wing) is stepping down in July.

That means that President Obama gets another chance to replace a liberal member with a younger justice while we wait for one of the conservatives like Scalia, Kennedy or Scalia's ventriloquist dummy Uncle Thomas to retire.

It's also another salient reason why President Obama needs to be reelected in 2012.

Thanks for your service Justice Stevens, you will be missed.

So let's get this week's honoree for the Shut Up Fool award. The usual suspects of Beck, O'Reilly and Hannity. The tag team of Palin and Bachmann. Liz Cheney, Faux News, Gov. Bob McDonnell. The comedic hijinks of the Southern Rethuglican Leadership Conference

But we can only choose one winner this week, and it's going to be embattled GOP chair and spokesellout Michael Steele.

Mikey was quick to dismiss President Carter's comments that conservative opposition to President Obama was because of his race.

Now that the pump is on the other foot and he's getting fast and furiously flying criticism form Republicans about the unfolding stripper scandal, his lavish spending of GOP money on private jets and four star hotels, and calls for his resignation are starting to come in, what did Mikey do?

You're Black when it's convenient for you to be Black. Every time he opens his mouth, he justifies my selection for the 2009 Shut Up Fool of the Year award.

Michael Steele, Shut the Hell Up, Fool!
