The September 21 execution date of Troy Davis is getting closer in Georgia and we need to get busy trying to stop it. There is far too much doubt in this case concerning whether they actually have the right person who killed off duty Savannah police officer Mark MacPhail.
It would be a horrible travesty if the state of Georgia executed him or this crime when the case against him is collapsing . Clemency needs to be given in this case until they can determine beyond a reasonable doubt who did.
The NAACP, Pope Benedict XVI, and Nobel laureate and former president Jimmy Carter have been just some of the voices speaking on behalf of Davis, and you can add yours to the mix as well.
