Merry Christmas 2019

Merry Christmas TransGriot readers!   This is the last Christmas Day we will celebrate in the 2010's as a new decade starts a week from now

Hope this day is turning out to be a pleasant one for many of you and the food at your holiday tables is tasty and plentiful.   i also hope that Santa brought you everything on your Christmas wish list as well.

Happy Birthday to all of you who were born on this day as well.

What I wished for as a Christmas gift won't happen until November 3,2020.    But I did to see his azz impeached as an early Christmas 2019 gift.

If you have extra Christmas cash lying around and want to reward someone who was up to angelic trouble for our community this year, you can always hit me up on my Pay Pal at paypal.me/TransGriot or my Cash App at $TransGriot

I also have a link to my PayPal  in my TransGriot Tip Jar in the upper left hand portion of the blog

The other early Christmas gift was my transphobic Harris County Commissioner Steve Radack deciding not to run for another term.

Speaking of Christmas gifts, here's hoping that all the tarns younglings celebrating their first ones as their true selves are getting the stuff they always wanted under the tree today.

For those of you who are not with your blood family, much love to you today and hope you are hanging out with your chosen fam.

Here's also hoping we lose no more trans people between now and New Year's Day.

Merry Christmas 2018!

Merry Christmas TransGriot readers!

Hopefully wherever you are in the world you had if you're west of the International Date Line or are now in the early morning hours of it, having a wonderful day.

I'm planning to hang out with some of my blood family today and give my mom her Christmas gift.
The other thing I'm planning to do is to call some of my chosen family a little later in the evening.

Hopeful I'll get another present later tonight when the MegaMillions $325 million dollar jackpot winner gets announced.  Already received one on November 6 in a bluer Harris County.

It's looking like it's going to be a slow news day, so unless Orange Foolius does something monumentally stupid I will mock him for, I'm planning on stepping away from social media for the day and either catching up on some Netflix fave shows or movies that pique my interest or firing up Cities Skylines for a while.

Catch y'all on Wednesday.

Happy Holidays (Merry Christmas) 2017

Image result for astros christmas tree
After a year that seemed like it has taken a decade to pass, we're finally at Christmas Day.

I've already received multiple early Christmas gifts.  Finally got the gender marker change done.  I got to see my hometown baseball team FINALLY win a World Series.  I got to go to and doa panel at San Diego Comic Con.

And yes, with the help of the Texas trans community and a host of allies, we killed the unjust anti-trans SB 6 bill TWICE.

And oh yeah, before I forget,  Dear Cheeto Leader sucks.  .Note to your delusional azz:  We always could say 'Merry Christmas'.  Just another fake news issue you tell your white low information voters '
I hope I receive the Christmas present of seeing your incompetent dotard behind being impeached before 2020 along with VP Mike Pence.

It has been a rollercoaster of a year for me with more highs than lows.   It's also a year in which I and everyone else needs to take this holiday season time to stop and count our blessings.

And to me, one of those blessings is having wonderful friends who have my back.   It's also nice to just step back from being in ongoing Defcon 1 combat mode as we fight World War T to just chilling and hanging out with your family, be they blood or chosen.

Hope that's what people are doing today as they open gifts, get their grub on or simply enjoy the company of the people they love and care about.

Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas everyone.   Enjoy this day in the knowledge that 2017 is almost over,   But once we get past New Year's Day, it's back to fighting for a better world for our trans kids and ourselves.

But first, time to open up my presents in a few hours and see if I got the Astros World Championship shirt I wanted or that Zappos gift certificate .

Merry Christmas 2015

Merry Christmas, people!   Hope everyone is enjoying the day and gets a chance to spend it with your blood or chosen families.

I also hope that you received the gifts that you wished to get under your Christmas trees, and if you didn't, that what you wanted is available at a steep end of year discount

And later on tonight we'll have a Christmas Day full moon for the first time since 1977.

As for me, I'm going to focus on counting my blessings. I went to a few conferences and conventions, got to attend an historic event at the White House in March, and got to reconnect with and meet some amazing people inside and outside the community.

And I'm also blessed to know, talk to and call my friends some amazing trans people in our community

Can't forget as of next Friday my blog will celebrate its ten year anniversary.

So what will 2016 hold in store for me and our beloved trans community?   I'll do some hard solid thinking about that later, but today I'm going to take the opportunity to enjoy Christmas Day, kick back, recharge the creative batteries, scarf down somebody's holiday home cooking and take the day off.   Now if the news cycle intrudes on this day or I get some idea for a post I have to share with the world, I'll post it.

Yeah, yeah you'll get this week's Shut Up Fool post at noon CST per usual.  Otherwise any other posts will wait until tomorrow, subject to the news cycle.

But besides that, Merry Christmas!

Shut Up Fool Awards- Last Fool For 2014 Edition

This is the last Friday of 2014, and y'all know what happens on these electronic pages on Fridays.

The Shut Up Fool Awards for the last several years has been one of my more popular features on these electronic pages in which I call  out folks for exhibiting mind numbing stupidity, gleeful hypocrisy, and the WTF moments that make your head spin.

And as Mr. T, our SUF Awards inspiration has started more than a few times, "Fools are everywhere"

Especially in the GOP-controlled Congress and the GOP run Texas Legislature.

That sadly guarantees that I won't be having any problems having fools to call out every Friday in 2015 along with selecting this year and next year's Shut Up Fool of the Year.

You can check out who wins the 2014 Shut Up Fool of the Year at 12 noon CST on New Year's Eve.

Now let's get to what fool, fools or group of fools deserved it this week.

Honorable mention number one is to the three NYPD officers who wore shirts mocking the 'I Can't Breathe' rallying cry of the Garner protestors.

And you wonder why people are singing NWA right now.

Honorable mention number two is Gaylard Williams.  He's a gaybaiting pastor in Seymour, IN who has been arrested and charged with battery for making unwanted sexual advances.

And it wasn't with a woman.   Yep, another faith based hypocrite has been exposed, and you know what they say about those who doth protesteth too much.

Honorable mention number three is Rudy Guiliani, who parted his loud and wrong lips to blame President Obama for the deaths of the the two NYC police officers.

That old crossdresser needs to have several sections of seats in Yankee Stadium and STFU.

Honorable mention number four  is Sen. Tom Coburn (R-OK) who while on his way out of the Senate door blocked funding for a new veterans hospital in Tulsa because he claimed 'they were building a Taj Mahal'

Bet all those vets in Oklahoma who voted GOP are regretting that vote now aren't they?

NYPD Union President Patrick Lynch Is Completely Nuts: A HistoryThe last Shut Up Fool Award winner for 2014 is Pat Lynch, the leader of the NY Patrolmen's Benevolent Association Union, the largest of the 5 NYC police unions.  .

Lynch has a long history of  making inflammatory and racist comments , and is stating true to form in the wake of the killing of Eric Garner and since the non indictment of one of his police officers in that case.

Now in the wake of two NYPD officers being killed, he opened his big mouth to say "that the blood of the murdered officers was on the hands of the protesters, and “on the steps of City Hall, in the office of the Mayor”.

Naw homes, it's on the hands of the person who pulled the trigger,

Pat Lynch, you're one major reason why peeps in NYC and elsewhere can't stand the po-po's.   You're defending the indefensible.  Why don't you. shut up, fool?

Merry Christmas 2014!

Merry Christmas people!  I already received my big present in terms of a roof over my head.

Also checked out Resurrection MCC's Christmas Eve service last night.   The climax of it was when the house lights were turned down while the children's choir was singing, and the candles we had been holding were lit.

Was a beautiful way to spend a Christmas Eve night

It's my first Christmas Day in a place of my own since 2000 and I'm still diligently working to  make it a home.   The best part about starting over from scratch and moving during the holidays is that much of the stuff you need can be acquired on sale or a deep discount after Christmas..

But enough about me.  I hope you TransGriot readers are having a wonderful holiday season.  Safe travels to and from you final Christmas Day destinations.

I'm going to take the writing day off, but if some news pops up that warrants a post, up it will go.

Merry Christmas 2013

Merry Christmas to all my TransGriot readers on the eastern side of the International Date Line!   Once again I get to thank you for all the gifts that y'all provide me with throughout the year.

One of the most precious gift you TransGriot readers provide me with is spending your valuable time surfing the Net to read what I write here.

Occasionally some of y'all in addition to telling me how much y'all like what I read or sending me links to stories I may have missed, will additionally drop some change in the TransGriot electronic Tip Jar.

Thank you, it's deeply appreciated.

In just a few short days I'll not only announce my 2013 TransGriot Shut Up Fool of the Year Winner, but celebrate my 8th Anniversary blogging on New Year's Day.

So I'm talking the day off, but if the news cycle warrants it or I feel something move me to post today, I will.
