I was one of the peeps calling for Raven Symone to be replaced on The View by a thinking sister, and was happy to hear that former federal prosecutor and legal analyst Sunny Hostin got that chair.
Newt Gingrich and Meghan McCain must have forgotten that part of Sunny's background when they tried to peddle their kill the investigation talking points to the audience of The View and got royally embarrassed by her.
Then again, what Gingrich and McCain did was commit an all too common mistake of the conservative movement. They misunderestimate the intellect of Black women until it's too late, and end up looking foolish or worse in the process.
Bet they'll think twice before they try that on another sister again.

Joy Reid Shuts Down Another Conservafool
When are these conservafools going to learn not to step to Joy Reid with their 'alternative facts' because she will call them on it?
My media shero once again had to shut down an attempt by a conservative to spread disinformation on her show. This time it was Amy Tarkanian, the former head of the Nevada Republican Party, trying desperately to spin and defend Trump from Reid calling out the pattern of being drawn to abusive Republican men and not calling them out on it.
As you probably guessed, Joy wasn't having it. Reid challenged Tarkanian to come up with just one instance that Trump defended a woman who had accused a Republican male of sexual assault or abuse.
And as you probably guessed, Tarkanian couldn't do it. Enjoy the video

Hail To The New Pundit Cup Champion!
One of the things I was here in Atlanta for was for the semifinals and finals of the fourth annual Pundits Cup competition. So what's the Pundit Cup? It's a judged competitive punditry competition in which contestants pick a topic and go one on one against an opponent in a tournament style competition for a $500 prize.
I'm the 2016 champion of the event, and I was there to be a judge for the finals of it.
Was happy to see an increase in the number of women, and especially women of color participating in the event and it was definitely more competitive than the #NN16 Pundit Cup competition I won.
To illustrate the stepped up level of competition at the #NN17 , Bo Shuff, the person I beat in last year's semifinals, was knocked out in the round of 16 by the eventual champion Tenaja Jordan.
But before Tenaja could claim the crown, she had to get through a tough semifinal round with Sarah Badawi and the final with my fellow Texan Chuck Rocha.
Tenaja handled her punditry business, and emerged from the competition as the 2017 Pundit Cup champion She has become the third consecutive woman to win the title.
Congrats Tenaja!

Angela Rye Calls Out Joe Walsh On CNN
You TransGriot readers know how much i love CNN pundit and contributor Angela Rye. She has no problem calling BS out and going toe to toe with conservafools
Enjoy watching her eviscerate Joe Walsh for making the mistake of stepping to her with some loud and wrong BS on Twitter

The Conservative Movement Is One Of Oppression
I keep telling y'all how much I love CNN's Angela Rye for telling it like it T-I-S is and calling people out for BS.
Earlier today on CNN she put Trump supporter Steve Higbie on blast for trying to float those tired 'Party of :Lincoln' and party of Martin Luther King' lies
I'll go a step further than Angela was able to do in that segment and say that the entire conservative movement is one of oppression.

I'm An ABC13 2016 Election Night Pundit!
Took a while, but the Netroots Nation 2016 Pundit Cup Champion finally gets an opportunity to flex her political punditry chops. Best of all for my political junkie self, it's on Election Night!
It happens on my local ABC station, KTRK-TV, starting at 7 PM CST and running until 10 PM CST.
I'll be along with the anchors, guests and other bloggers commenting on local, state and national races. I'll additionally be commenting on TBLGQ issues, and watching Jenifer Rene Pool's potentially historic Harris County Commissioners Court Precinct 3 race.
I'll also be part of the in studio bloggers panel helping ABC13 monitor the Election Night chatter with my 10.2K (and counting) Twitter followers. This will be broadcast from the ABC13 studios. i'll also be checking my Facebook page as well during the night.
My Twitter handle is of course TransGriot. This is also the link to the ABC13 website for those of you who don't live in the Houston area but may wish to catch me doing my punditry

Angela Rye Schools Lying GOP Pundits Again
I love CNN pundit Angela Rye who is always on point and doesn't let conservafools get away with trying to peddle disinformation on her watch
The latest example of Ms. Rye handling her pundit business is in this discussion on Anderson Cooper 360 that drifted into voter suppression territory
Thank you Angela for keeping the conservafools in check.

Angela Rye Blasts GOP Pundit For Defending Rape Culture
One of the people I love seeing when she does appear on TV to set people straight is Angela Rye.
You've got to check out this video of Angela calling out the ridiculousness of Kayleigh McEnany for the GOP wide talking point of trying to blame Hillary Clinton for her hubby's affairs.
I guess by that same standard, Melania Trump is to blame for he's husband's nekulturny behavior.
Check out Angela Rye snatching Kayleigh's wig on air.

Rachel Drops Knowledge On 'Meet The Press' Conservafools
Ever since David Gregory took over for the late Tim Russert on NBC's Meet The Press I have refused to watch the show because he leans too much in the conservafool column for my tastes, much less sucks as a moderator.
Rachel Maddow was on yesterday morning's edition of Meet The Press along with Hilary Rosen to confront Alex Casrtellanos and Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA) who the Republifools have been ttrotting out to spin their abysmal War on Women policies by going into denial about them.
But the best way to beat a conservafool spinning is drop megatons of facts on them. They tried the tactic of cutting her off while speaking. Rachel also calls Castellanos out for his misogny
