Dear Transphobic People-Y'all Really Showing Y'all Azz

Dear Transphobic People,
You are really showing your azzes this week, and it has been especially acute around two issues.

First let's talk about the massive freakout you're having because the Always brand of menstrual pads simply took the Venus female symbol off the packaging in a nod to the fact that women aren't the only beings on the planet who have vaginas.

For over 35 years, Always has championed girls and women, and we will continue to do so. We’re also committed to diversity and inclusion, and are on a continual journey to understand the needs of all of our consumers. We routinely assess our products, packaging and designs, taking into account consumer feedback to ensure we are meeting the needs of everyone who uses our products. 

After hearing from many people, we recognized that not everyone who has a period and needs to use a pad, identifies as female. To ensure that anyone who needs to use a period product feels comfortable with Always, we’re adjusting our pad wrapper design as part of our next round of product changes. As a global brand, our design updates will be adapted by multiple markets at various dates beginning in January/February 2020.

Yeah, I get it there's a whole cultural aspect around periods and menstruation.   It's associated with femininity and signals that a girl is becoming a woman

It may be news to you, but trans masculine people and gender non conforming who were AFAB still have them even after they take testosterone to masculinize their bodies and make them congruent to the people they are. 

Taking the symbol off the packaging is something that shouldn't be a big deal to you cispeeps, but it is a huge one for trans masculine and gender non conforming people who are going through periods.

Taking the symbol off those wrappers will make it less awkward for trans masculine peeps who have to not only purchase pads during that time, but disposing the wrappers. 

It was a simple, deeply appreciated gesture by Proctor & Gamble , but cue the predominately white TERFs losing what's left of their collective minds to assert that 'the transgender lobby bullied P&G into doing it'

What opiods are you TERFs on?   You TERFs, and especially you off the chains British ones, will seize on any opportunity to spit anti-trans venom at trans women.

First, eff y'all for that.  Second, why are y'all going apoplectic about packaging on a period pad?  Glad y'all assume we have that kind of power. 

Trust and believe that when it comes to trans community lobbying priorities, getting Proctor & Gamble to change the packaging on an Always  period pad was not high on the Top Five priority list, especially for Black trans folks who are disproportionately catching the brunt of the anti-trans violence being stirred up by you hateful harpies and your Republican allies.

The other good thing about this Always pads mess is that it is revealing who the transphobic fauxgressives and our allies and supporters really are

And yeah gay menz, we see y'all once again taking the opportunity to throw transphobic shade, and your ignorant behinds will be called out and dealt with when the time is right.

Now let's move to my beloved home state of Texas.    A Dallas area mother, Dr Anne Georgulas,  sued her problematic ex-husband Jeffrey Younger for full custody of their twins.   

The divorce has been contentious.  Georgulas and Younger had their marriage annulled in 2015 after the court found that Jeffrey Younger had lied multiple times to Georgulas about his income, education, marital status and military service.

Add to this mix that one of the AMAB twins,  Luna Younger, has identified as a girl since age 3, has clearly expressed a feminine gender identity, and has been diagnosed with gender dysphoria but daddy is trying to force the child to live as male.

The court wisely awarded full custody to Dr Georgulas, but the conservafools have decided to seize on this case and blow it up as a way to attack the Texas trans community. 

'The evilgelicals and far right wing transphobes as usual have been anything but Christ-like in their response to this.   They are firing up the Right Wing Outrage Machine, viciously attacking Dr Georgulas,  have posted fake one star reviews about her pediatric medical practice, and are trying to paint this as the 'transgender lobby run amok'.

Gov. Greg Abbott (R), indicted AG Ken Paxton (R) and Sen Ted Cruz (R), never missing a chance to attack the Texas trans community, have stuck their noses in this family's business and outed the child.

Rep Steve Toth (R-The Woodlands) has pledged to author a bill that would declare  transitioning of a minor child 'as child abuse', and Rep Matt Krause (R-Fort Worth) wants to introduce a bill banning the use of puberty blockers in children.

“We’ve already seen what happens when the state politicizes transgender children: Real harm can be done,” said Angela Hale, the acting CEO of Equality Texas.  “Politicians have no business delving into people’s private lives and attempting to harm children.”
I'm going to say it in terms that you TXGOP transphobes and cognitively challenged voters can clearly understand

Don't mess with Texas trans children.   We will fight you every step of the way along with the Mama and Papa Bears, the medical community, and our allies to ensure that you lose this fight just like you did twice when it came to the unjust SB 6 bill.

These revolting TXGOP developments make it clear what one of our political missions will be for Texas trans peeps in 2020.

We not only must defend Texas trans kids and their parents, it makes it even more imperative that we flip those nine seats and get control of the Texas House in the 2020 election cycle, starting with Matt Krause's and Steve Toth's transphobic azzes.

Dear Transphobic People- Stop Being Shady To Trans Women, Gay Men

Dear Transphobic People,
This post was motivated by something that happened last night to one of my homegirls who was coming home for the holidays last night on Spirit Airlines from LAX.

Spirit is problematic on a lot of levels for trying to squeeze every penny out of your wallet purpose for their so-called cheap flights.   But those flights shouldn't come with a complementary helping of transphobia. 

When my homegirl Vancie Vega boarded Spirit Airlines Flight 326 from LAX to IAH,  the gay male flight attendant at the aircraft boarding door according to a post on Vancie's FB page quickly turned as she boarded and said to his female flight attendant coworker loudly enough for Vancie and probably any other passengers in line close enough and paying attention,  '"Do you think she's a man?"

Hell naw she isn't.   But let me first read this sky waiter for filth.    What the phuck is wrong with you?   You mad because you wish you looked as good as Vancie or were her?

You do not under any circumstances out a trans woman in public.   It is not only disrespectful and hurtful to the trans woman in question,  it can open that trans woman up to further harassment or worse.

Try that with me boo boo kitties and I will go full Omarosa on your azz and won't care where I am at that moment

This plays into an ongoing problem in TBLGQ World I need to address about transphobic gay guys who think they have carte blanche to shadily out or disrespect trans women inside and outside the community,  with the worst offenders being white gay men. 

Poll ten trans women and probably half of us can recount an experience in which a gay male either said something transphobic or outed us in non- LGBTQ company.

First off our trans status is ours to decide whether or not to  share with the world.  There are times when I'm out and about in the world where I'd prefer not to be known as the out and unapologetic Black transsexual for various reasons including personal safety.

When we are in a moment in this country in which we trans women are dealing with a hostile administration in Washington DC,  have GOP controlled state legislatures tying to heap further oppression upon us, and we have everyone from TERF's to right wing evilgelicals to Catholic bishops aiming hate speech at us, the last people we need to be hearing anti-trans microaggressive bull feces from is gay men. 

You have a long ,ugly history of that nekulturny behavior, and it needs to stop.

Especially now. .

Dear Transphobic People- Message To Transphobic Black Cis Women

Dear Transphobic People:
Today I'm going  to have to call out some of the very women that I have spent years defending in Black cis women.   Specifically, the Black cis feminine transphobes in our midst.

Y'all are really feeling froggy lately.   First it was Chimamanda Adichie with her transphobic BS that she doubled down on that I and other trans women had to call out, and ,now we have Stacey Patton letting loose with her anti-trans screeds.

Let me repeat the words of Raquel Willis from her March 13, 2017 The Root  'Trans Women Are Women.  This Isn't A Debate'  article one more time loud enough for you chocolate transphobes to hear;

'Just as it was wrong for womanhood to be narrowly defined within the hegemonic white woman’s experience, so, too, is it wrong for womanhood to be defined as the hegemonic cisgender woman’s experience. Cis women may be the majority, but that hardly means their experience the only valid one.

And Moni approves of this message.  

Black Trans women are women.  Black trans women intersectionally show up and show out for everyone's human rights struggles, but when it's your turn to show up for us, you're MIA or regurgitating the same disco era TERF crap created by white fauxminists.

Miss us with your chocolate flavored wannabe TERF intolerance.

It's sad that some of you Black cis women give more respect and love to Tyler Perry dressed as Madea, up to and including using female pronouns for him while dressed in drag, than you do the Black trans women living in the same 'hood with you.
   
It's bad enough that we Black trans women are literally being slaughtered in the streets, white TERF's and fauxminists have been attacking our femininity and humanity since the 70's and you have been cricket chirping silent about that.

Black trans women are not your enemy Black cis feminine transphobes, and you need to check yourselves and recognize that.

We don't need you piling on and attacking our humanity.  We Black trans women have enough on our human rights plates right now dealing with people trying to kill us, the attacks on us coming from the conservative movement, Republican legislators, elements of the LG community, the TERF's, and the Roman Catholic, Southern Baptist and white evangelical churches.

We are struggling just to have our voices heard in Trans World since trans femininity has been discussed ever since Christine Jorgensen stepped off the plane in February 1953 from a white lens.

We Black trans women don't want and need that transphobic crap from y'all and we ain't having it.   Neither are we tolerating the knee -jerk transphobia coming from your ranks.

The bottom line that should concern you as it does us is that Black femininity has been under attack since our ancestors got that first unwanted free boat ride from Africa to what later became the United States in 1619.    We would rather be spending our valuable time building sisterhood with you, fighting all comers who dare attack and demonize Black femininity, and working together to solve the issues that plague all Black women.

Think about that before you part your lips to say transphobic crap or share a transphobic TERF post..

Dear Transphobic People,

One of the things I've been quite pissed off about is you peeps who call yourselves Republicans or conservatives, mad because you lost the Obergefell SCOTUS case, retooling and turning your anti-gay industry and Right Wing Noise Machine loose on the trans community.

You ran your standard disinformation and demonization playbook.  You've retooled the predator myth you used on the gay community to attack trans women, and attacked our trans kids and their parents.

You started World War T expecting an easy political Culture War win you could ride to 2018 GOP primary midterm success, and have been shocked to find out that we had more allies than you thought.   We're also fighting your right wing behinds tooth and nail because frankly, you messed with us and our kids, and we have no choice but to fight you back and win.

And what made you peeps think that trans folks, who have fought tooth and nail and gone through hell to become their true selves, were going to just roll over for you?  

Hell naw, we weren't.  We're going to fight your GOP behinds tooth and nail until you leave us alone and stop attacking our humanity and human rights. .

And yeah, the slimiest people are the so called pastors pimping anti-trans hate from their pulpits and politicians like former NC governor Pat McCrory (R) and current (for now) Texas Lt/ Governor Dan  'Potty Panic' Patrick (R)  who are pushing anti-trans hate for his political benefit next year.

But Pat McCrory found out that hatin' on trans people isn't the ticket to electoral success.  So did former Texas House state reps Debbie Riddle (R-Tomball) and Gilbert Pena (R-Pasadena) who pushed four anti-trans bills that were defeated in the 2015 Texas Lege session and found themselves flushed by the voters outside of the Pink Dome when the 2017 session started.  

We can only hope that Dan Patrick. Sen Lois Kolkhorst  (R-Brenham) and Sen. Eddie Lucio, Jr's (DINO-Brownsville)  the only Democrat to vote for SB 6) political careers will suffer the same fate as SB 6 for messing with Texas trans kids and Texas trans women.
