FRC Is Deploying The Kneegrow Sellouts Against You What's Your Response TBLGQ Community?

Myself and other Black TBLGQ people have been warning people in the white TBLGQ ranks for years that if you didn't start actually hiring Black TBLGQ people for your organizations, that one day the hatemongers would notice and exploit your willful racial blind spot to use against you.

That day has now come to pass.  In a Washington DC press conference held on the steps of the Supreme Court, the conservakneegrows were cooning it up for conservamassa in advance of the Masterpiece Cake 'religious liberty' SCOTUS case that will be argued in front of the SCOTUS on December 5.

Of course the conservakneegrows tried to once again push the tired line that the African American Civil Rights Movement and the TBLGQ rights movement aren't the same.

Well, duh conservafools, that's already a given because both have different goals. 

But there sure is a lot of overlap.  And while the movements are different, the oppression and the oppressors we face are the same, and they have been emboldened to act now that Trump is in office.

Where they are also similar is that we are fighting in Tony Perkins and his dishonorable friends the same white right wing Bible thumping fundamentalists who opposed Dr King then and currently oppose our 21st Century human rights fight as TBLGQ people.

And to back up my point about who it is we're fighting, the person circled in red speaking at this  Louisiana Council of Conservative Citizens (the remixed White Citizens Councils) meeting that Dr King and others fought in the Civil Rights Movement days is none other than the FRC's Tony Perkins.

So naw, conservakneegrows, you are not 'standing up for you faith, you are traitorously colluding with our longtime human rights enemies and cosigning white supremacy if you have Jack's back.

To quote 1 Timothy 5:8   Anyone who does not provide for their relatives, and especially for their own household, has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.

And note to you useful fools: it has always been the coal of the conservative movement to drive a wedge between the Black and TBLGQ communities.  There are more similarities than differences in the two movements, and that's a point that civil rights warrior John Lewis made sometime ago but bears repeating.

Another civil rights warrior who also had something to say about the civil rights and TBLGQ rights movements is Coretta Scott King.

"I believe very strongly that all forms of bigotry and discrimination are equally wrong and should be opposed by right-thinking Americans everywhere. Freedom from discrimination based on sexual orientation is surely a fundamental human right in any great democracy, as much as freedom from racial, religious, gender, or ethnic discrimination.

"My husband, Martin Luther King Jr., once said, 'We are all tied together in a single garment of destiny... an inescapable network of mutuality,... I can never be what I ought to be until you are allowed to be what you ought to be.' Therefore, I appeal to everyone who believes in Martin Luther King Jr.'s dream to make room at the table of brotherhood and sisterhood for lesbian and gay people." 

Tony Perkins and his conservakneegrow auxiliaries want to quote the Rev Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr out of context and hoodwink and bamboozle you into forgetting this point, but duh, Black TBLGQ people exist.   And we are more than just backdrops for your fundraising photos for your predominately white and LG orgs to fundraise off of.

Sadly, it seems as though our white TBLGQ siblings want to forget at times we exist, especially when it comes to getting paid for this community's human rights work or who is seen as spokespersons for it. 

But the reality is glaringly apparent that for our orgs to be at maximum effectiveness in fighting the right wing tyranny aimed at us by the Christohaters, they must be as diverse as this community in order to beat back these cynical attempts to play racial wedge politics that pit the Black and TBLGQ communities against each other.   

So what are you gonna do, now that the haters are deploying kneegrow sellouts against you?    

ATLAH Hate Church Going Up For Sale

In some news out of New York that will get your weekend off to a great start, the Harlem based ATLAH World Church of hate pastor James David Manning has been ordered by a New York state judge to go up for public auction because of unpaid debts totaling  $1.02 million.

According to DNAInfo, the public foreclosure auction will be taking place on February 24, for those of you in the New York area wanting to gleefully celebrate the occasion..

The frequent Shut Up Fool Award nominee has let loose with SUF award worthy commentary over the years by claiming that Starbucks laces its lattes with 'sodomite semen', and let fly the comment that Justin Bieber is a 'transgender man' among the other hate gems he has unleashed on his YouTube channel

Well, instead of making YouTube videos, he should have been working on paying the bills to keep his hate church open.   He has nine federal tax liens dating back to 2002 totaling $355,000, owes New York state $28,000 and creditors $30,000.

Couldn't happen to a nicer christobigot.   I would love to see the karmic justice of someone buying that hate church and turning it into an LGBT center.

But have February 24 circled on my calendar to see what happens.

Naw, You Don't Have The Right To Discriminate

If y'all thought I was being harsh for calling yesterday's star studded event at Riggleworld a hate rally, peep these shirts that were being worn by some of the attendees.

Meanwhile, the Houston LGBT community spent the day role modeling what Christianity is really supposed to be like.

Contrary to the lies you were told from the Grace KKKommunity Church stage, you DON'T have the right to discriminate against gay folks or anybody else, and that goes double if you think (and yeah I'm going there) because of your white skin and that vanillacentric privilege you're swimming in you do.

And bigotry wrapped in scripture and prayer is still bigotry.  As a Christian I'm beyond sick and tired of right wing conservafools hiding behind the Bible to push their reactionary political agenda.

Oh yeah Steve. it's been T+5 months since HERO passage, and there have STILL been no bakers in the Houston city limits forced to bake swastika cakes as you  predicted.

Don't think that non-white folks like myself didn't notice the overwhelming whiteness of the room, the suburban location of the hate rally, or the speakers flown in for this event who are heavily involved in GOP political circles and the anti-LGBT industry.

Religious Freedom' doesn't mean, 'I get to be as bigoted, hateful and intolerant as I want to peeps I despise and you can't call me on it."    

As I said during the HERO battle and will continue to say it, you don't like me or anyone else in the trans, bi and SGL community calling you haters and bigots, stop behaving like it.

What it means is you can have whatever religious beliefs you wish.  What you can't do is try to forcibly impose them upon me, or use political power to do so. 

In a pluralistic society that has multiple faiths and even allows you the right to not have a religious faith preference if you so choose, that's the way it needs to be.

As my homegirl Christina Gorczynski said in an interview yesterday, "Religious freedom and equality go together, they're not mutually exclusive."

But unfortunately, some of y'all in your zeal to rewrite history and christopimp forgot that salient point.
 

Unmasking The Religious Right War In America

It's said that eternal vigilance is the price of liberty.   That's especially true if you are a persecuted or hated minority group under constant microaggressive and macroaggressive attack.

You have to know your enemy, call them out, be vigilant for and respond to any attacks aimed at undermining your humanity and by extension, your human rights no matter how small they seem on the surface. 

Alvin McEwen of the Holy Bullies and Headless Monsters blog and Pam's House Blend fame (and who I had the pleasure of meeting during Netroots Nation 2012) has been diligently documenting the Religious Right and their unrelenting neo-fascist attacks on the TBLG community while cloaked in Christian drag.

Alvin has spent the last year putting together a booklet that is a handy guide for detecting those tactics, debunking and eviscerating their talking points, and giving you the information and tools to develop counterprogramming against them entitled How They See Us: Unmasking The Religious Right War In America.

McEwen's booklet is timely in the wake of the Religious Right taking their war against the GLBT community global and exporting their hate based oppression of our rainbow brothers and sisters with successful results in Uganda, Nigeria and Russia.  The conservafaith-based haters are also attempting to spread their lies and disinformation in Brazil, Latin America and the Caribbean.

Pastor Sean Harris Advocates Beating The Gay Away

Next week there will be a vote on Amendment 1, which would add a ban on gay marriage to North Carolina's constitution.  Filled with false righteousness and determined to influence the decision, Pastor Sean Harris of Berean Baptist Church in Fayetteville, took to his pulpit to advocate strict adherence to the gender binary, and compulsory heterosexuality for all children.  For this bigot, conformity begins in the home and to ensure that children are properly abused, Harris even go as far as to suggest that fathers should punch their sons.

So your little son starts to act a little girlish when he is four years old and instead of squashing that like a cockroach and saying, "Man up, son, get that dress off you and get outside and dig a ditch, because that is what boys do." You get out the camera, and you start taking pictures of Johnny acting like a female, and then you upload it to YouTube, and everybody laughs about it, and the next thing you know, this dude, this kid, is acting out childhood fantasies that should have been squashed.

Shaming a four year old child for expression is disgusting.  It had me thinking about an incident I had about a month ago in which a parent decided to inform me that I was going to make my youngest son Mayhem gay, by allowing him to wear nail polish and encouraging his love of dancing. As you might well imagine, the conversation did not go well for the bigot.  What Pastor Harris is advocating is so incredibly emotionally harmful for children.  Kids should be free to explore who they are in a safe environment without constantly being policed, and if they do happen to be GLBT kids, no amount of forced conformity is going to change that.  All you are teaching your child is that hate is acceptable, and that you don't believe in unconditional love.

Can I make it any clearer? Dads, the second you see your son dropping the limp wrist, you walk over there and crack that wrist. Man up. Give him a good punch. Ok? "You are not going to act like that. You were made by God to be a male and you are going to be a male."

 So, if ordering a change in behaviour does not work, it's okay to be violent with a child.  I hope to heaven that this man does not have any children. As a pastor, he is supposed to minister to his flock and tend to the weak and defenseless, and instead he is using his power to do the exact opposite.  What ever happened to love one another as I have loved you? No, it's only more violence in the name of God and parental rights.

Once again, Harris is preaching the gender binary as though it is not a pure construction of society.  There is no specific way to be a man.  Gay men don't stop being male when they become aware of their sexuality. The very fact that he could advocate punching a child tells me that he has no conscience, and no respect for anyone who isn't exactly like him.  This kind of attitude, is what is behind the suicides of gay teens across North America.  Harris isn't preaching the gospel, he is using hate speech to promote genocide as far as I am concerned.

And when your daughter starts acting too butch you reign her in. And you say, "Oh, no, sweetheart. You can play sports. Play them to the glory of God. But sometimes you are going to act like a girl and walk like a girl and talk like a girl and smell like a girl and that means you are going to be beautiful. You are going to be attractive. You are going to dress yourself up."

I guess it's nice to see that he is an equal opportunity bigot. Girls can play sports everyone, they just have to remember to make themselves pretty on a regular basis.  Really?  All women are good for are their appearance and their ability to please men?   If it weren't so disgustingly sad, I would laugh.

You say, "Can I take charge like that as a parent?"
Yeah, you can. You are authorized. I just gave you a special dispensation this morning to do that.

Right, his hatred makes him so powerful that he can give a dispensation over ruling the law of the land. This is beyond arrogance.  Children aren't our possessions even though they are vulnerable and dependent on us to take care of them.  If anything, their vulnerability and innocence makes us responsible for caring for them and respecting them as little people.

From start to finish this man has advocated strict adherence to the gender binary, compulsory heterosexuality and child abuse. When I look at him, I don't see a man of God, but a hate filled angry bigot with too much power and less common sense then God gave cabbage.  Attitudes like this are exactly why I no longer belong to any form of organized religion.  I feel that it is a stain upon Christ's teachings to advocate hate instead of loving thy neighbor.  I don't believe any loving God would advocate harming another in this fashion.

And Then There Were Five

Rut-oh! Bishop Eddie Long has another problem in that the fifth mystery accuser in his ongoing sex scandal has just surfaced courtesy of an Atlanta FOX-5 TV station investigative report.

22 year old Centino Kemp came forward with similar allegations of sexual misconduct against Bishop Long once the initial lawsuits were filed. According to FOX 5 TV sources quoted in the report they say Kemp became involved in the settlement talks as the mystery man. Though his name was never made public, the FOX 5 I-Team learned he may have played a significant role in the mediation.

Bishop Eddie led a controversial December 11, 2004 'Re-ignite The legacy' anti-marriage march in the ATL that drew between 20,000-25,000 people and started at the foot of Dr. King's grave.  Elements of the African American LGBT community (myself included) have despised his behind ever since.

My ire with him was not only for cozying up to the white fundie bigots and doing their dirty work, but his cozy relationship with then president George W. Bush.
