The NFL was legally sacked in their ongoing mislandling of the Colin Kaepernick case.
Arbitrator Stephen B. Burbank ruled Tuesday that he was denying the NFL's attempt to dismiss Kaepernick's complaint that since becoming a free agent in March 2017, his inability to secure a new contract has been due to NFL owners violating Article 17, Section 1 of the collective bargaining agreement between the owners and the NFL Players Association.
Translation: Kaepernick has a valid enough case to go to trial.
The NFL owners (probably being egged on by Jerry Jones) are being racistly stupid here. All they had to do was sign Kaepernick to a contract and his complaint would have been dismissed. Signing Kaepernick would have also allowed the anthem protest controversy to fade from the headlines.
But instead, because of their myopic lack of vision, it is front and center for this 2018 season starting next week and they are going to trail for a collusion case that Kaepernick probably has a good shot at winning.
It remains to be seen how this case continues to play out, but if you're in Kap's position, it's looking good for you right now and bad for the NFL

As someone who lives on the southern end of I-45 and unapologetically roots for every Houston sports team, I've always had my hate on for the Dallas Cowchips. One NFL game I'll definitely be watching in this 2018 season is on October 7 when my beloved Texans play the Cowchips in a nationally televised game at NRG Stadium
It's not about as Cowchip fans like to crow Houston envy for their Super Bowl titles they won in the last century, but their faith based arrogance in running with the 'America's Team' moniker bestowed upon them by NFL Films.
And Jerry Jones has given me more ammo to despise them with.
Despite the fact the NFL Players Association and the NFL are currently in talks to come to a happy medium on the anthem protests, Jones decided to kiss Trump's anus and declare along with his son Stephen Jones that Cowboys players would not be allowed to sit in the locker room during the anthem. He also declared that any Cowboys player who protests during the anthem will be fined or cut from his team.
But Jerry loves America so much that when the anthem was played before a Cowchip practice last Saturday, he left his cap on. When told about his mistake, he left it on anyway.
When this happened back on June 18, I was in the middle of having to move, my laptop computer was packed up and offline, and I had no choice but to put the story on the back burner until my housing situation stabilized and I could talk about this piece of trans history.
Meet 25 year old Breanna Sinclairé. She is a classically trained operatic vocalist who graduated from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. On the occasion of Athletics Pride Night, she received the opportunity to sing the national anthem before a crowd of 30,000 people attending the A's game at the O.co with the San Diego Padres.
She may be the first out trans person ever to sing the national anthem (that we are aware of) at a major sporting event. And she nailed it.
“It means a lot. I feel very honored,” Sinclairé told the Associated Press
of the experience. “I used to be homeless in New York City. I think
from being homeless to getting my bachelor’s degree and my master’s
degree to this, it’s just kind of mesmerizing to me to have such a group
of people that support me and love me and want to see me succeed. I’m
so thankful for them.”
Told y'all if we trans peeps are just given the opportunity to achieve our dreams, we will excel.
