Nevada Gets Trans Protective Laws Enacted

Add Nevada to the list of states that now have trans protective laws with public accommodations language on their books   The trifecta of trans positive laws were signed by their surprise, surprise Republican governor Brian Sandoval..

But hey, don't get it twisted, he's the exception to the GOP rule of hatin' on any or all civil rights legislation.

The three pieces of legislation that did the job in Nevada are SB 331, which dealt with public accommodations, AB 211 that dealt with employment issues, and SB 368 with the housing discrimination.

Kat's comments over on ENDAblog about this are to the point and entertaining as usual.

But congrats to our Nevada trans peeps who are now protected in their state's legal books.
