There is this persistent fantasy being pushed in Bernie World that Sanders will get the superdelegates to massively switch to him and give him the nomination because 'it happened to Hillary in 2008'. .
Yeah right. That has as much chance of happening as moi walking the runway of the next Victoria's Secret runway show.
Let's approach this logically shall we?
First, let's talk about exactly who the superdelegates are. 438 of them are Democratic National Committee members with 434 votes. They also include the chairs and vice chairs of all 50 state Democratic parties.
20 are distinguished party leaders (DPL). That means current and former presidents and vice presidents, former congressional leaders and former DNC chairs. That DPL list of supers includes President Obama, Vice President Biden, former president Jimmy Carter, and former vice president Al Gore for example.
The 193 Democratic members of the US House of Representatives (including DC and the US territories like the Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico American Samoa and Guam)
The 47 US Senate Democrats and the two DC shadow Senators, and the 21 Democratic governors.
Now that we know who the supers are, let's start breaking down why Sanders attempt to get superdelegates to switch will ultimately fail.
This is 2016, not 2008. Just as wars are not fought with the same tactics you used in a previous one, neither are political campaigns. The events that happened in presidential campaign 2008 while instructive and you can learn lessons from them, are not guaranteed to repeat themselves in the next campaign.
Let's get it out there the first dirty secret of the Sanders campaign. Bernie only joined the Democratic Party last year and admitted he did so only to go after the Democratic nomination and stated it would be harder for him to run for president as an independent. . He is not a Democrat, he is a DINO.
Bernie also has a long history of demonizing the Democratic party going back to 1985. He also called for the primary challenge of President Obama, which means he is not going to be successful in getting President Obama's superdelegate vote, much less many Black superdelegates who haven't forgotted Sanders dissing southern Black Democratic voters. They also haven't forgotten many of you Berners racistly dissed Rep John Lewis (a superdelegate BTW) and Black voters consistently rejected Bernie at at 86-14% clip. .
Bernie does slightly better with Latinos, being rejected by them by a 75-25% clip. They have issues with Bernie as well, which means he won't be getting many Latino superdelegates to switch either, especially after he accused the Puerto Rico Democratic Party of 'fraud' and the Berners dissing of Latina civil rights icon Dolores Huerta early in the campaign.. And like Black voters, a majority of Latinx voters aren't feeling the Bern either as was demonstrated on Sunday in Puerto Rico.
And note that out of all his senate colleagues who are superdelegates, only Sen. Jeff Merkley of Oregon supports him. That speaks volumes
Sanders acting like a vanillacentric privileged spoiled brat and blaming everyone but himself for his various primary losses is also not endearing him to the superdelegates.
Contrary to what the Sanders campaign is telling you, Sanders is not the better candidate against Trump. He wasn't really vetted and his dirty laundry wasn't given a proper airing. The Repblicans are praying we'll be stupid enough to nominate a candidate they desperately want to run against and paint his 'Democratic Socialist' behind as the second coming of Marx and Lenin. Trump would spank that behind once they unleash all the unvetted hell on him that Hillary didn't do.
Then there's the fact that Hillary has 40 years of Democratic Party history, was the First Lady in her husband Bill's administration, elected twice as the US senator from New York and the former secretary of state serving under President Obama . Being she was on the losing end of a tighter presidential race in 2008 and hadled it with dignity and clas , female Democratic leaders, and especially seasoned Democratic female leaders see this as the best chance of their lifetime to make their presidential dream come true and they aren't throwing away this opportunity for a DINO. .
Attacking Sen. Barbara Boxer (another superdelegate) in addition to the sexist and nasty commentary that has been aimed at Hillary Clinton in this campaign, in addition to stating you will continue to attack her will only ossify their support for Clinton.
In 1984, Gary Hart tried the same tactic that Bernie Sanders is about o attempt in flipping superdelegates that committed to Walter Mondale before the convention and failed miserably.
We know the stakes of the election this November and see the big picture. Many of the Bernie or bust people tragically don't.
So good luck with that quixotic doomed to failure attempt to flip the superdelegates.

2016 Transgender Day Of Resources & Healthy Living This Saturday
It was a void that Dee Dee Watters and Transgender Women of Color United for Change (TWCUC) sought to address with the inaugural event in November 2014 that not only was a success with over 100 attendees, it probably saved my life.
While killing time waiting for a panel to start, I decided since I'd been through some extremely stressful drama with a family member to give the TSU medical students a little practice in checking blood pressure. I hadn't been to the doctor on a regular basis in several years, and when those smiling students put the cuff on me, I discovered that my blood pressure was highly elevated enough to where if it had gone unchecked, it could have produced a stroke.
Stroke is what killed my father in 2013, and it alarmed me to the point that I started making arrangements over the next few weeks to go back to the doctor on a regular basis, get back on my hormones, and drop some weight since I was tipping the scales at 275 pounds at the time and unhappy about it. I was also close to being in Type II diabetes territory, and wanted no part of that either. .
I've dropped 40 pounds since then, clear of the Type II diabetic zone, and shooting to drop another 20 pounds and keep it off. I'm also happier since I'm back on my hormones now.
This is a free event for all who identify as transgender or gender nonconforming people and those who love them.
The purpose of this event is to provide a safe space where those who identify as transgender or gender nonconforming can gain access to knowledge for healthier living and much needed resources and workshops geared to assist people to navigate their transition journey in a safe and healthy way.
.
Some of the workshops that will be available during this event running from 10 AM-3 PM will cover name and gender marker changes and plastic surgery.
TDORHL2016 will take place this Saturday as I mentioned from 10-3 PM at the Montrose Center, so come check it out Houston area trans fam and allies. It could save your life like it did mine and put you on the path to healthier living.

Democratic Omega Primary Today
The AP and NBC News has determined that Sec. Hillary Clinton has made some long awaiting history.and become the first woman to successfully win the nomination of a major political party
However, the Sanders folks don't see it that way, but math and reality are irrefutable. After sweeping the Caribbean contests in the Virgin Islands caucus and Puerto Rico, in blowout fashion, the Clinton team is focused on building on the Caribbean momentum in the six upcoming races today, consolidating their case the 2016 Democratic Party presidential nomination is theirs, and shift to party unification and vigorously opposing Republican nominee Donald Trump in the fall.
Superdelegates matter Bernie supporters. The fact that Clinton has two million more voter that Sanders explain why she has built that insurmountable lead that has led to her busting through that electoral glass ceiling.
As I mentioned, six states will hold primaries and caucus on this June 7 date with the big prize of the what's being billed as the Omega Primary being New Jersey (148 delegates) and California (548 delegates).
Montana (27 delegates) , New Mexico (43 delegates) and South Dakota (25 delegates) will have primary elections while North Dakota will have a caucus (23 delegates)
We'll find out in a few hours what happens, but in the meantime, if you live in any of these Omega primary states, handle your business because there are other candidates in races besides the presidential primary who are counting on your votes. .

Mesquite, TX Passes Trans Inclusive EEO Policy Update
In breaking news from North Texas, looks like the ongoing negative attacks on trans people by Gov Abbott, Lt. Governor Goeb Patrick AG Ken Paxton and the Texas GOP have started to have the opposite effect.
According to Lone Star Q, the city council of the eastern Dallas suburb of Mesquite, TX just voted tonight despite opposition from the TexasBigots Values haters to add trans, bi and SGL workers to their city's Equal Employment Opportunity policy.
“Sorry to disappoint everyone, this isn’t the bathroom war…no matter what a political hack from Austin tells you in a fundraising email,” Mesquite Councilman Jeff Casper said. “Let me be clear: This policy has no effect on public restrooms. It simply states that the city of Mesquite’s employment decisions will be based on character and merit.”
As I keep pointing out, while the haters may have some loud voices, we LGBT peeps in the Lone Star State are continuing to fight for the type of inclusive and equitable Texas we wish to make a reality.
Congrats Mesquite and everyone who worked on getting this done for over a year.

RIP Amos Beede
One of the things we don't talk about often enough in Trans World is that trans men also are assaulted and attacked for being themselves, and from time to time they are fatal assaults.
An example of this happened May 22, in which 38 year old trans man Amos Beede, who wasn't homeless, but was staying with friends over the weekend in a homeless encampment in Burlington, VT because the local bus wasn't running. Beede was viciously assaulted and kicked by four homeless people and suffered blunt force trauma to his brain, facial injuries and several broken ribs in what has been described as a 'possible bias incident'..
He was taken to the University of Vermont Medical Center where Beede died seven days later as the four suspects in the case immediately fled Vermont in a Chevy Malibu and headed to California They were briefly detained in Roswell, NM when 21 year old Erik Averill, was arrested and held on accusations of assaulting his intimate partner, 22 year old Myia Barber.
Once Averill was released, the four continued their journey to California, where they were arrested Thursday night at Dog Beach, a San Diego homeless encampment by San Diego PD officers after a nationwide manhunt..
Averill and Barber, 25 year old Alison Gee, and 21 year old Jordan Paul were all arrested and charged with second degree murder and are facing extradition back to Vermont to face the legal music there.
Rest in power and peace Amos. We will be tracking this case to see if you receive justice.

Clinton Sweeps Caribbean Democratic Contests
Break out the broom, because Sec. Hillary Clinton had a great weekend in the Caribbean without riding on a cruise ship or going on vacation..
This weekend there were two Democratic presidential nomination contests in the Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico worth a combined 79 delegates, and Sec. Clinton has taken both of them.
She overwhelmingly took the Virgin Islands caucus on Saturday, and in the Puerto Rico primary went on to another overwhelming win there.
With the 36 delegates as of this writing she picked up during her Caribbean sweep, she is now poised to clinch the nomination in 24 hours when the Democratic Omega Primaries kick off.
It also proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that Black and Latino voters matter when it comes to Democratic primary races.
Looks like I hear an opera singer warming up and singing the 'It's Over' aria.
But then again that was obvious to anyone grounded in political reality. She's no less than 30 delegates away from clinching the Democratic presidential nomination, and how apropos for it to happen on the day that she conceded the race to President Obama back in 2008.
Tuesday will be a historic day for this country and Sec. Hillary Clinton despite Bernie Sanders and his followers unwillingness to deal with it. But it's past time for this contest to be over so that we can focus as a party on beating Donald Trump in the fall.

The Transphobes Look Stupid Now
One of the things I've been pondering lately is that iconic photo of an impeccably dressed teenage Elizabeth Eckford, a member of the Little Rock Nine, proudly making her way to her first day of classes at the newly integrated Little Rock Central High through a hostile white mob as a teenage Hazel Bryan Massery screams at her.
We've seen that moment immortalized in an iconic photo that pissed Louis Armstrong off in a epic rant that probably motivated President Dwight Eisenhower to send federal troops to Little Rock.
As for Ms Eckford and Ms Bryan-Massery, they eventually reunited under less contentious circumstances at the 40th anniversary of that event, and in 1999 on the Oprah Winfrey Show stage in 1999 as Hazel Bryan Massery continues her journey to atone for her actions conducted on that September 1957 morning that negatively impacted Elizabeth Eckford's life.
As far as the crowd of people in the top picture in this meme are concerned, so far don't know if they have expressed regrets for their back in the day bigot eruptions..
Speaking of bigot eruptions, we now have predominately conservative white people who have failed to l;earn from past history and are repeating it by trying to oppress another marginalized minority group.
The Republican Party, the Southern Baptists, white fundamentalists and TERFs (trans exclusionary/exterminationalist radical feminists) have united in an Axis of Trans Intolerance with the mission to hate on and attempt to turn their transphobic bigotry into public policy.
And we won't have to wait forty years to see if the transphobes look stupid, they look, act and sound that way in real time, and their transphobic scribblings, hate speech and actions are being preserved for historical posterity
As we learned from the history of the African-American civil rights movement and the LGBT rights movement, those conservative efforts are doomed to failure since conservatives have been on the wrong side of human rights issues for the last two centuries.
But they still declared World War T on us anyway.
With the trans rights moment increasingly shaping up in the words of Vice President Joe Biden as the civil rights issue of our time, four decades from now your kids, grandkids and great grandkids will be asking you the question when trans human rights are an undeniable fact in ours and their lives where you stood during this early 21st century time they will probably be studying in their history books.
UCLA Bruin Republicans Haley Nieves, Victoria Metzel, Julia Nista and UC-Santa Barbara's Carlos Flores, the transphobic quartet in the bottom half of that meme, like a lot of trans oppression enablers will have to admit (if they ever evolve and are brutally honest with themselves) they were on the transphobic side of the moral arc of the human rights universe.
Their fellow Bruins seem to think so and condemned them for their hate speech as they do what Republicans always do, avoid taking responsibility for their bigoted and transphobic actions.
And ladies, FYI, it is hatred of trans people that is the mental disorder. You may also wish to while you're matriculating on the UCLA campus take a class with Dr Eric Vilain to 'ejumacate' you on the latest science as it pertains to sexual orientation and gender identity.
We'll see if over time Haley, Victoria, Julia, Carlos and other assorted transphobic haters evolve, or are forced to do so if karma kicks them in the behind and blesses them with a transgender child, grandchild or relative to speed up that evolution.
But whether that happens or not, based on their current nekulturny behavior, this transphobic quartet will have to grow up first and realize that they, like all transphobes in this nation and around the world are the people who look stupid now, not the people they sought to demonize

Bye, Stacey!
Been wondering when the conservafool movement would deploy their Kneegrow Auxiliaries to regurgitate the same trans hate the GOP politicians and conservative white folks have been spouting for the last few months.
Well, I now have my answer. The sellout kneegrow (they don't deserve to be called Black) pastors were recently deployed to coon it up in North Carolina for the unjust Hate Bill 2, and now Stacey Dash has received her marching orders from her conservafool paymasters..
Ever since I first saw Stacey Dash in the movies Mo' Money and Illegal In Blue and later Clueless, I've been a fan.. The brothers drooled over her photo shoots in various Black men's magazines. But over the last several years that has waned as she has started drinking the conservafool Kool-Aid.
Now that the FOX Noise Fembot has revealed herself to be an unrepentant transphobe, as far as I and everyone else in Black Trans World and our allies are concerned it's Bye, Stacey time.
Since you're a clueless conservaidiot, pun intended, let me break this simple concept down for you Ms. Dash. Trans women are women, trans men are men. We're also human beings.
Let my unapologetic Black trans behind tell your sellout ass where I and every other trans woman on this planet will be going to poop and pee, and wash our hands when we're done. It won't be in the bushes, it'll be in the women's bathroom stall right next to you, just as we have been doing for your entire life and you probably didn't even know it.
And oh yeah, guess you forgot there are Black trans people whose #BlackTransLivesMatter to all who love them. It is our lives that have been and will be disproportionately affected by the anti-trans violence and GOP legislative discrimination that your transphobic words gleefully endorse.
.
Trans people demanding to have our humanity be treated with dignity and respect and our human rights recognized is not as you disrespectfully put it 'the tyranny of the minority'. And how dare you as part of the conservative tyranny of the minority peddle that debunked anti-trans bathroom lie so you can peddle your new book that only the FOX Noise watching ignorati will read
Bye, Stacey. And on behalf of Black Trans America, you can kiss our unapologetically Black trans behinds..
One Down, One To Go In Puerto Rico
The Caribbean primary weekend is almost over, and Sec. Hillary Clinton moves even closer to clinching the Democratic Nomination and the Omega Primaries on Tuesday.
But first up was the Virgin Islands caucuses, and it wasn't even close. Clinton on an overwhelming victory, getting 1306 votes to Bernie Sanders 190.
That gives her a little momentum going into the Puerto Rico primary today, and the Omega Tuesday primaries in which California, Montana, New Jersey, New Mexico, North Dakota and South Dakota all have nominating contests, with the huge delegate prizes being California and New Jersey.
One down, one to go until we can say 'Democratic Nominee Hillary Clinton'.

The 2016 USA Women's Olympic B-Ball Squad Is Set
If you were wondering who made the 12 person USA women's Olympic basketball squad that will be seeking to win its sixth consecutive gold medal since 1996, I'm about to tell you.
I jokingly call the Team USA women the 'UConn All-Stars' because of the number of former players USA head coach Geno Auriemma usually selects for his Team USA FIBA world championship and Olympic women's squads. Hey, they keep winning medals, so I ain't mad at him or the USA Baskeball selection committee for doing so.
There are only five UConn alums on the 2016 Olympic team headed to Rio, but the 2016 Olympic ballers will be Seimone Augustus, Sue Bird, Tamika Catchings, Tina Charles, Elena Delle Donne, Sylvia Fowles, my Houston homegirl Brittney Griner, Angel McCoughtry, Maya Moore, Breanna Stewart, Diana Taurasi, and Lindsay Whalen .
Coaching this team in addition to Auriemma will be assistant coaches Doug Bruno of DePaul, Cheryl Reeve of the Minnesota Lynx and Dawn Staley of the University of South Carolina.
When the Team USA women begin pursuit of their sixth consecutive gold medal and seventh all time on August 7, they will start Group B play with Senegal, followed on August 8 by the No 4 qualifier still to be determined by the Women's Olympic Qualifying tournament in Nantes, France from June 13-19. Team USA will then face Serbia on August 10, Canada on August 12 and the No. 2 qualifier on August 14 to close out group play.

They are 58-3 in Olympic competition, and will also be when they step on the court in Rio attempting to build on a 41 game winning streak that dates back to the bronze medal game of the 1992 Barcelona Games
Should be fun to watch Team USA hopefully roll to a sixth straight Olympic title, but we have to play the games first..
TransGriot Update: The five teams that emerged from the June 13-19 FIBA Women's Olympic Qualifying tournament were the host France, Belarus, Turkey, China and Spain. France, Belarus and Turkey are in Group A. China and Spain ended up in Group B with the USA.

Cheryl Courtney Evans Calls Out A Transphobe
"She really sounds like a TERF (Trans Exclusionary Radical Feminist), but maybe she's just a transphobic idiot, who was mistakenly put in a position she didn't need to fill, any more that a homo-/trans-phobic doctor/minister needs to head up an AIDS prevention/treatment organization [couldn't be trusted to do his or her BEST for us].I'm glad she didn't "fly under the radar" as she torpedoed efforts by other ACLU members! Maya Dillard Smith needs to take a couple of seats and STFU!!!" --Cheryl Courtney-Evans, May 30, 2016
I have frequently said on this blog and across the Net that the most dangerous bigot is one with legislative power. Well, another dangerous bigot is one who shapes policy in an advocacy organization that you are counting on to help fight for your human rights.
Bye, Stacey (no more Bye, Felecia), because in honor of that transphobic rhymes with itch Stacey Dash, that's what I'm using from now on.
Anyway back to focusing on the current issue. Cheryl called her out for her transphobia in this blog post y'all need to read, and the haters have come out to play in the comment thread.
She just doubled down on the justified criticism of Dillard Smith and all peeps who think like the former interim director in terms of drinking the right wing Hateraid and ignorance when it comes to trans peeps.in another post.
She could use a little help with some positive comments in those threads, so help one of our trans elders out in dropping some truth in those comment threads.
And I stand with Cheryl. One thing we don't need in this World War T trans human rights fight is lukewarm alleged allies.or so called friends who are worse than our right wing enemies.
.
Muhammad Ali 1942-2016
So saddened to hear that another one of our community icons has gone on to join the ancestors.
Muhammad Ali, 1960 light heavyweight Olympic champion, three time world boxing champion, humanitarian, father and beloved civil rights advocate passed away in a Phoenix area hospital on June 3..
Much of my childhood and teen years spanned his remarkable boxing career. Him becoming the heavyweight champion three times. The three fights with Joe Frazier including the 'Thrilla In Manila'. .The 'Rumble in the Jungle' in Zaire in which he rope a doped George Foreman into defeat.
While his long battle with Parkinson's .Disease robbed him of his verbal loquaciousness, he still remained one of the world's most beloved figures and humanitarian . He helped negotiate the release of 14 American hostages before Desert Storm kicked off in 1991.
He received the honor of lighting the Olympic cauldron to start the Atlanta Games in 1996.
I also lived in his hometown of Louisville, and visited the Muhammad Ali Center several times in the period I lived there after its 2006 opening for different events..
His hometown is also feeling the loss.
Said Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer in a statement.: “The values of hard work, conviction and compassion that Muhammad Ali developed while growing up in Louisville helped him become a global icon. As a boxer, he became The Greatest, though his most lasting victories happened outside the ring. Muhammad leveraged his fame as a platform to promote peace, justice and humanitarian efforts around the world, while always keeping strong ties to his hometown. Today, Muhammad Ali’s fellow Louisvillians join the billions whose lives he touched worldwide in mourning his passing, celebrating his legacy, and committing to continue his fight to spread love and hope."
Congressman John Yarmuth (D) said in a statement, "The word champion has never fit a man better. Muhammad Ali was a champion for peace, a champion for justice, and a champion for equality. He was a man who gained fame in a violent game, but immortality as a gentle and caring soul. In the ring, there was no one better, but his contributions to humanity managed to eclipse his boxing prowess."
But to many of us, and especially those of us who grew up during the 60's and 70's, he was simply The Greatest.
Rest in power and peace Champ/ You've earned it.

In the ring, there was no one better, but his contributions to humanity managed to eclipse his boxing prowess."But to many of us, and especially those of us who grew up during the 60's and 70's, he was simply The Greatest.
Rest in power and peace Champ/ You've earned it.

Crucial Caribbean Democratic Primary Elections This Weekend
The calendar page has flipped to June and thankful for Democrats, the end of the contentious primary season is in sight with Hillary Clinton poised to make American history. .
Clinton is only 94 pledged delegates away from passing the magic 2383 delegates needed for clinching the nomination. She has 1770 pledged delegates plus an overwhelming 520 of the 715 superdelegates available.
And for the supporters of Bernie Sanders, they realize that time is running out. While some have resigned themselves to #FeelingTheMath and realizing that it's a matter of time before she clinches the nomination and began the process of unifying the party to take on Republican nominee Donald Trump, there are others who support Bernie who have been showing their vanillacentric privileged behinds and ramping up the nekulturny behavior and sexist Hillary hate as this weekend, the upcoming Omega primary on June 7 and the final primary in the District of Columbia on June 14 close out the Democratic presidential primary calendar.
The Virgin Islands will have their caucus today with 12 delegates available, and Puerto Rico will follow that up with their primary election tomorrow in which 67 delegates will be up for grabs.
If nothing else, the winners of these Caribbean weekend contests can claim having momentum into the Omega primary June 7.
For my readers in the Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico, all i ask is that you handle your business and vote.

Hillary Clinton Calls Out Trump In San Diego Speech
"He's not just unprepared-- he's temperamentally unfit to hold an office that requires knowledge, stability and immense responsibility."

2016 Williams Watch- Serena To The French Open Finals!
It has been a French Open at Roland Garros in which they have battled through rain delays, cold temperatures and the field being decimated by upsets and injuries, but Serena Williams has survived.
She dispatched the red hot Kiki Bertens of the Netherlands in straight sets at Court Philippe Chatrier to punch her ticket to the French Open finals 7-6 (9-7), 6-4 but she had to fight for it.
Trailing 4-2 and noting that Bertens was hobbled a bit by a strained left calf, Little Sis zeroed in on that to flip the match script. While everyone on tour knows that she can hit with power and is undeniably the best shotmaker in the women's game, many people forget that she can also hit an amazing deft drop shot, and she repeatedly deployed it against Bertens to get back in the match..
Like the great champion she is, Serena survived and advanced. She's now made it to her 27th Grand Slam final and her second consecutive French Open final. Serena is also playing for her 22nd Grand Slam title to pass Steffi Graf and get her closer to Margaret Court's 24 Grand Slam titles.
Standing in her way of making more tennis history is number four seed Garbine Muguruza of Spain, who dispatched 21st seeded Samantha Stosur of Australia in straight sets 6-2, 6-4 in the other semifinal at Court Suzanne Lenglen.
If that name sounds familiar, she was the player responsible for shockingly knocking Serena out in the 2012 French Open second round in lopsided fashion, which Little Sis beating her in last year's Wimbledon final in straight sets.
But tomorrow Williams will be playing her fourth straight match while Muguruza will be playing her third straight one because of all the rain delays.
Will she handle her business tomorrow and make this business trip to Paris a successful one? We'll see.

Shut Up Fool Awards- It's Hurricane Season Edition
With the calendar page changing to the month of June, it also means that those of us who live in Texas and everywhere else along the Gulf and Atlantic coasts will be until November 20 casting nervous eyes toward the west African coast or in the Caribbean Sea every time we hear our weather casters say the words 'tropical wave' or tropical storm'.
The 2016 Atlantic hurricane season has started, and before the official June 1 starting date we have already had two named storms in Alex and Bonnie in May.
The rest of the storm name list? Colin, Danielle, Earl, Fiona, Gaston, Hermine, Ian, Julia, Karl, Lisa, Matthew, Nicole, Otto, Paula, Richard, Shary, Tobias, Virginie, and Walter..
And what happens if it is a busy year and they run through all the names this year? Then the National Hurricane Center goes to the Greek alphabet to name the storms.
It's also Friday, and time to call out our Category 5 level windbags and fools in this week's edition of the TransGriot Shut Up Fool Awards.
Honorable mention number one is Donald Trump for pick whatever lies he said this week during his campaign stops.
Honorable mention number two is Sen. Bernie Sanders, who immediately after Sec. Clinton lambasted Trump as unfit to be president in a well received speech, instead of piling on and co-signing that speech hypocritically attacks Sec. Clinton.
Will be so glad when this Dem primary is over and you slink off to defeat along with the rest of the Green Tea Party.
Honorable mention number three is Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY), who stated in an interview that 'there are no serious barriers to voting anywhere' and he wasn't in favor of restoring the Voting Rights Act. Really? What crystal meth are you smoking?
Honorable mention number four is Stacey Dash, who's clueless ass revealed that she was transphobe in addition to being a sellout when she stated that trans people needed to 'pee in the bushes.'
Naw tramp, I'm peeing and pooping next to you in the women's restroom as I have for the last two decades and trans women in the United States have done since Christine Jorgensen returned from Denmark in 1953
Honorable mention number five is Maya Dillard Smith, who revealed her transphobic side and resigned as the interim head of the Georgia ACLU because she didn't wish to defend the human rights of transgender people. Cheryl Courtney Evans eloquently called her out about that transphobia.
This week's Shut Up Fool winner is James Dobson, who basically called for the murder of trans people for simply doing what every other person on the planet does in pooing and peeing while engaged in another hate sermon aimed at President Obama.
And like all conservative white men, he dusted off the old Jim Crow rhetoric of 'defending our women and children' to justify his faux faith-based transphobic rant..
Yep, once again, by their transphobic fruits ye shall know them. If you haven't gotten the message, here it is. Dobson and all his dominionist friends are unrepentant transphobes who hate us.
Anti trans hate thoughts + anti-trans hate speech = anti-trans hate violence and murder. Dobson and the rest of Satan's Helpers will do anything to stir up resentment and animus toward trans people, up and including spewing hate speech from their megachurch pulpits in the hope that some unhinged person will act on the negativity they put out there.

Been Invited To The 2016 White House LGBT Pride Month Reception!
It has been an event that I have been wanting to attend ever since it started seven years ago. It had heightened importance for me because of the African-American president we have in the White House right now.and was more disappointing when I didn't get an invitation to it.
Yesterday that invitation that I have been hoping for finally happened.
I've been invited to next week's LGBT Pride Month Reception!. I cried when I saw the e-mail, and now I'm scrambling to do my best to get to Washington DC so I can attend it.
It's going to be the last one of President Obama's administration, and I want to be there for that history and most of all, to record it for my TransGriot readers.
Now it's just a matter of doing what I can to make it happen and be in the room when it kicks off..

2016 Williams Watch-Serena To The French Open Semis!
It took her three sets, but number one seed Serena Williams fought through a bad day at the office and a short rain delay to prevail over a determined Yulia Putintseva 5-7, 6-4, 6-1 to punch her ticket to the French Open semifinals.
Serena got off to a slow start in large part to the 24 unforced errors she sprayed all over Court Philippe Chatrier in the first set. Despite that display of error infused tennis, she was serving at 5-5 in the first set up 40-love but got broken, then Putintseva took advantage of the huge gift to serve out the set and become the first person in this edition of the French Open to take a set from the tournament's number one seed.
Williams ended up with 43 unforced errors to just 16 for Putintseva, but offset that with 36-16 advantage in winners. Little Sis woke up just in time at 4-4 to rally and take that second set with some timely assistance from Putintseva. She was down two break points but held serve to take a 5-4 lead, then broke Putintseva to take the second set to even the match when Putintseva double faulted.
Serena then found her A game and blew out Putintseva in the third set to take the match.
She will face the red hot Kiki Bertens of the Netherlands, who is on a roll and has taken down four seeded players in number 3 Angelique Kerber, number 25 Daria Kasatkina, number 15 Madison Keys and number 8 Timea Bacsinszky on the way to the semifinals and qualifying for the Dutch Olympic tennis team .
Fourth seeded Garbine Muguruza and 21st seeded Samantha Stosur will square off in the other women's semifinal.match

President Obama Stands Up For Trans People In PBS Town Hall
Another historic moment for transkind took place in a PBS town hall Wednesday hosted by Gwen Ifill as President Obama continued to cement his legacy as the best president ever on trans human rights.
A question was asked of him during the town hall in Elkhart, IN concerning why the bathroom has become a pressing political issue?
As any trans person can tel;l you, it isn't about bathrooms, it's about human rights coverage for trans people, but check out courtesy of this video how eloquently President Obama made that case.
