I'm busily tweaking my speech, making last minute preparations, packing, doing interviews with campus media and getting into diva mode for my trip on Tuesday to Tuscon and the campus of the University of Arizona.
I'll be at the Gallagher Theatre on the UA campus from 7-9 PM local time for my TransGriot: Blogging at the Intersection of Race and Gender speech
I look forward to meeting all you Wildcats and people in Arizona who love reading TransGriot and I'm getting more excited by the minute to be headed there for the first time in almost 20 years.
And yes, I needed to get out of Texas for a minute.
See y'all Tuesday!

God Loves Transpeople, Too
This isn't a subject that's up for debate or discussion. Transpeople are God's children as well and if you dispute that fact I have to openly question your faith, wonder if you're a member of the Westboro Baptist Church or follow the twisted hate-filled Republican politicized version of Conservagod.
I am loved by the Creator and part of the diverse mosaic of human life. My faith is what has gotten me through many trying situations in my journey to womanhood and is something that I lean on to this day.
So no, being a trans Christian is not an oxymoron because I don't believe in conservagod. I believe in a God that commanded all of us to love thy neighbor as we love ourselves, sent Jesus to die on the cross for our sins and who loves me just as much as he loves you cispeople.
God created transpeople, God loves transpeople, enough said.

Sweater Vest South?
She's told me about the voter suppression tactics that are being used in predominately First Nations areas of Canada that overwhelmingly vote NDP and some other election shenanigans in recent north of the border elections that eerily smell like they came from the GOP playbook.
I also remember her talking about PM Stephen Harper, who she and other people on the Canadian left derisively call 'The Sweater Vest' for his penchant for wearing them during campaigns in order to make him and his conservative political stances seems more friendly. Well, well, well. Peep what Rick Santorum has started to wear more often on the campaign trail as he pimps his jacked up positions in this 2012 GOP nomination fight.
Naw Rick, it ain't gonna work.
We peeps in the reality based America already know how far right wing and delusionary your positions are. That wingnuttery might get you the GOP nomination, but 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. is another story.
Fox Noise's Lou Dobbs Attacks 'The Lorax'
What is it about Fox Noise and movies aimed at kids that sets these conservafools off? First it was Eric Bolling tripping about the Muppets, now here comes Lou Dobbs griping about The Lorax movie and trotting out that tired 'Hollywood is indoctrinating children' line..
The Muppets said it best about the devoid of logic conservafools at Fox Noise.

2012 Shut Up Fool Lifetime Achievement Awards Post Sunday
Ever since I started the weekly TransGriot Shut Up Fool Awards on January 30, 2009 to spotlight the idiocy and stupidity of the fools around us, it has been a popular feature here. Some of the input for the weekly award winners come from my readers as well.
There are some people who just say stupid stuff so regularly I had to establish a Shut Up Fool of the Year Award to honor them.
In 2010 I started giving out during Oscar weekend the Shut Up Fool Lifetime Achievement Awards in which I retiree the honorees from weekly Shut Up Fool award consideration for their body of stupidity work unless they say something that's so off the chain or foul I got to call them out on it.
In 2011 I expanded it to five honorees, and actually had to unretire one because she ran for the GOP presidential nomination and was saying jacked up stuff on the campaign trail on an almost weekly basis..
With Oscar weekend coming again on Sunday, it's time to select the 2012 Class of Shut Up Fool Lifetime Achievement Award winners. On Sunday you'll find out the five people who will join Rush Limbaugh, Sarah Palin, Glenn Beck, Bill O'Reilly, Ann Coulter and Michele Bachmann in earning this honor they so richly deserve.
So when you get bored watching the Oscars, surf on over to TransGriot on Sunday to see who will be the 2012 Shut Up Fool Lifetime Achievement Award honorees class.

Shut Up Fool Awards- Houston Rodeo Kickoff Weekend Edition
It's that time of year when we Houstonians pull the cowboy hats and boots out of storage and women pull the fashion forward western themed wear out of the closets. Other folks take some of that vacation time and use it so they can participate in the trail rides that will meet up at Memorial Park tonight and eventually form up for the rodeo parade on Saturday.
Many others will have Reliant Stadium's parking lot as their destination for the World Championship Barbecue cookoff and the carnival that will occupy the lot for the next few weeks or have tickets for one of the concerts that will happen during a now 85 year old tradition that is quintessentially Houston
It's the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, or as it's known now, Houston Rodeo. It not only is three weeks from February 28-March 18 where we get in touch with our western roots, it also raises funds for the college scholarships that the organization has given out to thousands of Texas kids during its 85 year run.
One of the traditions as I mentioned are the trail rides of varying lengths which African-American and Latino Texans participate in. The two African-American ones are the Prairie View and Northeastern ones, and the Latino Los Vaqueros one
But the World Championship Bar-B-Que Cookoff is the one I love in which cooking teams compete for prizes. When I worked at CAL there was a group of guys that competed every year called the Choice Cookers who worked from a pit in the shape of a Boeing 777. The BBQ was the bomb as well and that event is transpiring this weekend.
And oh yeah, speaking of roasting things over an open fire, time for me to segue into our usual Friday business of selecting of Shut Up Fool award winner.
This week's list of fools was long. There are the usual group nominations for Fox Noise and the Republican Party and the National Enquirer for publishing a pic of Whitney Houston in her casket. We also have Rick Santorum, Newt Gingrich, Cathy Brennan, Gov Bob McDonnell (R-VA), Gov Scott Walker (R-WI), Lou Dobbs, Willard Mitt Romney, Sarah Palin, Steve Doocy, Speaker John Boehner (R-OH), Rep Eric Cantor (R-VA), Nancy Grace, Frank Lunz, Franklin Graham, Callista Gingrich and Elisabeth Hasselbeck
Honorable mention goes to Indiana Republifool state Rep. Bob Morris for hating on the Girl Scouts.
The winner this week is birther Gordon Warren Epperly.
Hot on the heels (pun intended) of birther queen Orly Taitz's failure to get the POTUS kicked off the Georgia ballot, Epperly filed a lawsuit in Palin Country seeking to keep the president off the ballot for get this, because he is 'mulatto'
Dude, did you miss the Two Minute Obama Hate at your local Tea Klux Klan meeting?
The US Constitution's 14th Amendment not only defines citizenship, but grants civil and political rights born to persons born in the United States or abroad to at least one American parent. In addition, the 14th Amendment overturned the 1857 Dred Scott decision that held that slaves or their descendants like moi could never be US citizens.
If legal sanity prevails, that case has as much chance of being successful as the Trans Exterminationalist Twins winning the Miss Universe crown.
Gordon Warren Epperly, shut up fool!

As stated above, for an Individual to be a candidate for the office of president of the United States, the candidate must meet the qualifications set forth in the United States Constitution and one of those qualifications is that the Candidate shall be a "natural born citizen" of the United States. As Barack Hussein Obama II is of the "mulatto" race, his status of citizenship is founded upon the Fourteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution. Before the [purported] ratification of the Fourteenth Amendment, the race of "Negro" or "mulatto" had no standing to be citizens of the United States under the United States Constitution.
