UnKKKle Pat Bounced From MSNBC

Here's some wonderful news to get your Friday off to a great start.

After ten years of spewing his white supremacist bigotry and racism on the air, looks like Pat Buchanan will no longer be doing his shticKKK at MSNBC.

He got dropped from the network yesterday after being indefinitely suspended for his latest waste of trees entitled Suicide of a Superpower

It included such scintillating chapters entitled "The End of White America" and "The Death of Christian America."   Of course UnKKKle Pat denied his critics charges that his book was racist, anti-Semitic and homophobic, but his azz has been wallowing in vanillacentric privilege and trafficking in all of the above since the Nixon administration..

It was a big win for ColorofChange.org, which launched a petition drive that collected over 86,000 signatures seeking to get MSNBC to oust his bigoted behind.

Of course Pat aimed his ire over his dismissal at ColorofChange in a blog post, but the bottom line is that we will no longer be subjected to seeing Buchanan's bigotry on MSNBC.   He'll need to move on to a network more suitable for his racist rants, and I presume Fox News Noise will be extending him an offer any time now.

Let's Play TransGriot Jeopardy 2

It's been a while since we played TransGriot Jeopardy on the blog and I think it's time to see if you readers  have been paying attention to the news cycle lately.

The Final Jeopardy category is The GOP House and the final Jeopardy answer is:

What was the glaring flaw in the committee hearing on contraception that Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA) held today?

Time's up.   The final Jeopardy answer is:

There were no women on the first panel.

The Republican War on Women continues.

Keep on being incredibly stupid Republifools and believing your own Fox Noise propaganda.   At the rate you're going the POTUS may end up with an LBJ like landslide this November.

The PC Air Trans Flight Attendants Take Flight

Been tracking this ongoing story about Bangkok-based PC Air and it hiring trans flight attendants.

After the initial wave of news coverage, the story was dormant for a while until another burst of press coverage about the fledgling airline showed the initial group of four flight attendants, Nathatai Sukkaset,  Dissanai Chitpraphachin, Chayathisa Nakmai, and Phuntakarn Sringern going through training

PC Air took its inaugural flight from Bangkok to Surat Thani with the trans flight attendants on board as the cabin crew.

Some photos have finally emerged with the trans flight attendants it hired doing their thing in the skies above Asia.

It just demonstrates a few things that I and my transbrothers and transsisters all over the world already know.  If we are just given a chance to do the job and earn decent wages while doing so, we will not only rise to the challenge, but do it well.

It also gives us another opportunity to not only blaze trails for the transpeople that will follow in our footsteps, but do some mythbusting about what we can and cannot do at the same time

May the trans flight attendants of PC Air continue to have success and hopefully open some minds and doors so that transpeople in other nations have the same opportunity to work for the domestic airlines in their respective nations if they aren't doing so already.

Baltimore County MD Trans Rights Bill Scheduled For Monday Vote

There was another contentious hearing held about the proposed Baltimore County MD trans rights bill in which once again, the only thing the Forces of Intolerance could hurl at it in a desperate attempt to stop its passage was the Bathroom Meme.

One of their attack lines was already throughly debunked at the January hearing, but that didn't stop the haters from trying to 'scurr' people about transpeople in their bathrooms and lighting up the switchboard.to attempt to sway the Baltimore County Council into voting against Bill 3-12

The bill would add gender identity to existing county laws that prohibit discrimination in housing, workplaces, and public places, but due to the Hateraid an amendment is being considered that if passed would ensure 3-12 wouldn't apply to public places "that are designated for male or female use, such as restrooms, bath houses, locker rooms, dressing rooms, changing rooms, and similar facilities."

In other words, it would leave a gigantic fracking public accommodations loophole in it

Here's where you get to fight back against the haters and help our transbrothers and trans sisters in Maryland. .

Moving on to the haters.  We've been reliving ourselves in the gender appropriate restrooms and doing so without incident to you cispeople since Christine Jorgenson stepped off the plane from Denmark 59 years ago this month.

It's y'all cis people attacking us  and you foaming at the mouth cisgender transbigots we transfolks have to worry about.

Janet Mock On MSNBC

Y'all know how much I'm looking forward to the day that I finally get to meet Janet Mock, and was looking forward to seeing this MSNBC interview on Friday before it got bumped for last week's breaking news.

The interview with MSNBC's Thomas Roberts was rescheduled for yesterday and I missed it, but thanks to the Net, I and you TransGriot readers get to watch the video of it and talk about being nominated as one of theGrio's 100 influential leaders in the Black community.

Here's Janet!

My Name Is Not Steven

In the process of hearing all those classic Whitney  Houston songs on the radio in the wake of her untimely death and her upcoming funeral tomorrow, heard one of my favorites that inspired me to rewrite it and put a transgender twist to it.

So y'all know the drill.   Fire up the iPods and sing along with Moni's remixed lyrics.

My Name Is Not Steven
Sung to the tune of 'My Name Is Not Susan' by Whitney Houston

One day not long ago
I had SRS
I transitioned as you know
Born male, that's part of my past
From my point of view
Thankful that it didn't last

Cisgender folks you know I can't believe
Your tongue would slip that easily
I know you think I oughta let it be
But get it right, next time
Stop misgendering me

[Chorus:]
My name is not Steven
So watch what you say
If you're still dissing me
Then be on your way
Don't wanna hear about Steven
Stop calling me he
Show some respect for my femininity
My name is not Steven
(No, no, no, no, no -- get it, get it, get it right)

While I was running the streets
Hanging with the rainbow peeps
Heard you calling my old name
Then you grinned in my face
I froze in place
Our friendship won't be the same

Cisgender folks you know I never knew
You'd disrespect my humanity
I know you think I oughta let it go
But get it right next time
I said good-bye to the boy

My name is not Steven
So watch what you say
If you're still dissing me
Then be on your way
Don't wanna hear about Steven
Stop calling me he
Show some respect for my femininity

My name is not Steven

My name is not Steven
So watch what you say
If you're still dissing me
Then be on your way
Don't wanna hear about Steven
Stop calling me he
Show some respect for my femininity

My name is not Steven

I never wanted to be a boy do you get that homey?
I transitioned to be me if you think it sounds real corny
So if you call yourself my friend,
I'm a dame - don't forgot my name
Well, anyway

My name is not Steven
So watch what you say
If you're still dissing me
Then be on your way
Don't wanna hear about Steven
Stop calling me he
Show some respect for my femininity
My name is not Steven

Don't want to hear about Steven

My name at Steven (X3)

My name ain't Steven
My name ain't Steven
My name ain't Steven
Ya better get it right!

  My name ain't Steven
  My name ain't Steven
  My name ain't Steven
  Ya better get it right!
