Minnesota Rainbow Community 'Apologizes' To GOP Oppressor For Ruining Her Marriage

Hee hee hee.   Laughing my butt off about the letter that Minneapolis resident John Medeiros worte on behalf of the Minnesota rainbow community expressing regret for ruining homobigot Sen. Amy Koch's (R) marriage.

As Leader of the Minnesota Senate she pushed and voted for the amendment that will be on the ballot in a few months to ban same gender marriage.  She has resigned her position and is not running in 2012 for reelection after being caught in an 'inappropriate relationship'

Take it away, Mr. Medeiros..

Dear Ms. Koch,
On behalf of all gays and lesbians living in Minnesota, I would like to wholeheartedly apologize for our community’s successful efforts to threaten your traditional marriage. We are ashamed of ourselves for causing you to have what the media refers to as an “illicit affair” with your staffer, and we also extend our deepest apologies to him and to his wife. These recent events have made it quite clear that our gay and lesbian tactics have gone too far, affecting even the most respectful of our society.

We apologize that our selfish requests to marry those we love has cheapened and degraded traditional marriage so much that we caused you to stray from your own holy union for something more cheap and tawdry. And we are doubly remorseful in knowing that many will see this as a form of sexual harassment of a subordinate.

It is now clear to us that if we were not so self-focused and myopic, we would have been able to see that the time you wasted diligently writing legislation that would forever seal the definition of marriage as being between one man and one woman, could have been more usefully spent reshaping the legal definition of “adultery.”

Forgive us. As you know, we are not church-going people, so we are unable to fully appreciate that “gay marriage” is incompatible with Christian values, despite the fact that those values carry a biblical tradition of adultery such as yours. We applaud you for keeping that tradition going.
And finally, shame on us for thinking that marriage is a private affair, and that our marriage would have little impact on anyone’s family. We now see that marriage is more than that. It is an agreement with society. We should listen to the Minnesota Family Council when it tells us that marriage is about being public, which explains why marriages are public ceremonies. Never did we realize that it is exactly because of this societal agreement that the entire world is looking at you in shame and disappointment instead of minding its own business.
From the bottom of our hearts, we ask that you please accept our apology.

Thank you.
John Medeiros

.
Just one question.  Is the Minnesota Family Council going to push for the prosecution of Sen. Koch since adultery is punishable there by a year in jail or a $3000 fine?    After all, you say it is part of your 'Christian' duty to defend traditional marriage.   What say ye?

Umm hmm, that's what I thought

2011 Texans Watch-Another Historic Win In Indy?

The Texans have had a groundbreaking season in terms of going where previous Texans squads have never been.  They have won double digit games for the first time ever.   They have won their first AFC South Division title, clinched their first playoff berth and are in the hunt for the Number 2 AFC playoff seed and a first round bye.

And tonight they can accomplish something else no Texans team has ever done.  Sweep the Indianapolis Colts for the first time in franchise history.

They can also accomplish something else they've never done in nine tries by getting their first ever win in Indianapolis tonight as well.

That would definitely be a nice early Christmas gift for us Texans fans.

So after the upset loss to Carolina, they are determined to redeem themselves by winning tonights game.

They also wish to finish strong and keep themselves in the running for something else the Texans have never accomplished as a franchise in going unbeaten in AFC South division play.

Go Texans!

TransGriot's NFL Picks-Week 16

Christmas Day is fast approaching and so is the end of the NFL regular season.   For the first time in Houston Texans club history they will be playing a game beyond the last week of the regular season.  They'll also be trying to redeem themselves after dropping that game at Reliant to the Carolina Panthers.

And they won't be the only one trying to redeem themselves after I had a horrid 8-8 Week 15 record after all the games were played.

Granted, some of them were straight up shockers like the Chiefs beating the Packers and Indianapolis finally getting their first win.

Other were more of the head scratching variety.

My fave NFL squad will be trying to make some more Texan football history in an already special season by not only winning their 11th game, but by attempting to beat the Indianapolis Colts in Indianapolis for the first time in team history.   There will be an NFL Network TV national audience and anxious people in Houston trying to watch them do so as well.

And yeah, I was happy to see the Colts get their first win of the season against the Tennessee Titans Traitors but now they are the Texans opponent.   The Texans have a shot at going unbeaten for the first time in club history in AFC South Sivision play if they win today and against the Traitors in Reliant Stadium next week.

Upset Sunday was ugly to me last week and with only two weeks left in the regular season probably not going to catch Mr. Watts unless he collapses like his fave football team does.  By the way, his Week 16 picks are here

And as you noticed, most of the NFL schedule will be played on Saturday

So y'all know how I roll on this.   Team I'm picking to win will be to the left, home team in bold print

Trystan's Letter To The Lowell Sun About The Chaz Bono Holiday Parody

TransGriot Note:  The Lowell Sun newspaper on December 19 posted a transphobic parody of 'Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer' with remixed lyrics slamming Chaz Bono and the just passed Massachusetts trans rights law.   Another one of my fave kick azz Massachusetts trans men, Trystan Dean, compiled a letter to the editor slamming their contribution to Hatin' On Transpeople for the Holidays.

Dear Editor,

I'm writing in response to the recent parody you published that mocked Chaz Bono. It was mean-spirited, to say the least. Obviously, some of the folks working in your newsroom have sophomoric senses of humor and ought not be left unsupervised. Frankly, I think the person who published that parody ought to be fired. But hey, it's Christmas, so perhaps a little mercy, plus A LOT of education, would be more appropriate.

Like Chaz, I am a transsexual man. I'm in the middle of my transition, hoping and praying for the means to medically complete the process. The necessary surgeries are expensive, painful, risky, and currently not easy to access, if you are not blessed with wealth, like Mr. Bono.

However, for those of us suffering from gender dysphoria, and/or intersexed conditions, transition can save our lives. Gender dysphoria is a diagnosed condition, that is treated medically with therapy, hormones and surgery. Chaz was diagnosed with gender dysphoria, like me, then he was prescribed male hormones by a physician, like me, and, then, he underwent surgery.

These are not steps that can be made easily or lightly. Gender transition from female to male can result in a shorter life span. Hormone therapy can stress the kidneys and liver. There is medical supervision every step of the way. Risks are clearly spelled out. It's a tough decision, and it's only made when a patient's life is at stake. Gender dysphoria can kill. It fuels debilitating depression, self-hatred, and self-destructive behaviors. It is a malady that can intensify as a person ages. It's much worse than simply feeling trapped in the wrong body. It's about bone-deep despair that saps the will to live.

Transsexuals and transgender people are fighting for civil rights in our society, and throughout the world. Thankfully Massachusetts just passed a civil rights law. Among other things, it categorizes violence against trans people as a hate crime. This is important, because trans folks experience unacceptably high levels of murder, rape and assault among all measured minority communities. There has been a rash of trans murders in the last 2 years in Boston. The law just passed is not frivolous, and it didn't deserve to be parodied, along with Chaz, and by extension, all trans people. Like all other human beings, we deserve respect and compassion while we seek wholeness and  happiness in our lives. That is the American Dream. We'd just like the equal opportunity to fulfill our dreams too. I don't think that's too much to ask. Merry Christmas!
