But some of you Green Tea Party fools were too busy hatin' on her, caught up in your Bernie feelings, believing everything RussiaLeaks and jive turkey Julian Assange said that was negative about Hillary Clinton.
Still think she's 'worse than Trump?' If you do, you're as delusional as Dolt 45. .
She was the only viable candidate in this race, and the only person standing between Trump and the Oval Office, and some of y'all were too stupid to see it.
Anyway, just to remind you what she said since some of you obviously missed it the first time, here's the video.
And she didn't stop there. She called out Alex Jones and the white supremacist movement, too
We could have had this woman as our president. Instead we have a know nothing racist idiot.

Sen Garcia Takes On A Legislative Trans Oppressor
Texas state Senator Sylvia Garcia (D-Houston) has been a stand up ally and champion for the Texas trans community as we have fought SB 6 and now SB 3. She's not a member of the Senate State affairs Committee, but she sat in the hearing room through the 10+ hours of testimony back in March and during last Friday's hearing.
Yesterday she took part in a conversation hosted by the Texas Tribune in Austin yesterday concerning the anti-trans HB 46 and HB 50 bills with their sponsor Rep. Ron Simmons (R-Carrollton)
All that came out during this conversation is just how awesome Sen. Garcia is about the subject and how clueless Rep. Simmons is when it comes to trans issues.
And Sen Garcia is right when she starts that 'Dignity and Diversity over Discrimination' is more important.
You can check it out for yourself.

Houston's FOX 26 Is Demonizing The Trans Community Again
I've noted to my dismay ever since I returned home from Louisville in May 2010 the rightward slant of the news department at KRIV-TV. One of the other things I'm not fond of concerning FOX 26 is the ongoing pattern they have of demonizing, attacking and peddling disinformation about the Houston LGBT community.
And I've called them and their reporters who engage in it out about that crap.
It is a pattern at FOX 26 that was abundantly clear during the fight to keep the Houston Equal Rights Ordinance and their slanted anti-TBLGQ coverage lead was unfortunately followed by other television stations in the Houston market. It has continued post HERO.
With the Special Oppression Session on the horizon in Austin, news coverage is starting to ramp up in advance of it. Thanks to Media Matters, I was made aware of this problematic July 9 KRIV-TV panel since I'm not in the habit of watching FOX 26 because of their slanted and transphobic news coverage.
This latest FOX 26 panel I'm slamming was in response to the recent New Yorker article in which Texas House speaker Joe Straus (R) expressed his opposition to these anti-trans bills and said that he didn't want the death of a single Texan on his hands as a result of SB 6 and HB 2899.
Do you notice the problem with this panel? You probably do if you're a Houston area or Texas based trans person or Texas trans ally. But for those of you who don't see it, the problem is there are ZERO Houston area trans advocates among the six people being interviewed for this segment.
Guess it's easier to demonize a group FOX 26 when you don't invite them to your studio so they can push back against the anti-trans narrative you're trying to peddle.
Next time you wish to do a panel that discusses the lives of trans people FOX 26, it may help if you have actual Houston trans people as part of that discussion instead of a bunch of cisgender people and Republican haters who are ignorant, hostile and deliberately obtuse about our trans lives and the issues we face.
But then again, your conservative sycophants probably don't want that to happen because every time they have run up against a Houston trans advocate on your airwaves, they've gotten their azz handed to them.

Black Lives Matter LA Claps Back Against Racist NRA Ad
The NRA recently put out a racist ad narrated by Dana Loesch that not only attacked Black Lives Matter, but can also be described as a white supremacist call to violence.
In addition to being called out about the racist ad, the NRA has also been called out for their deafening silence in the wake of the Philando castile case.
Then again, the NRA is only proving what we've been saying about them for years in that they are a white supremacist organization, and their defense of the Second Amendment is only for the benefit of one ethnic group.
Black Lives Matter clapped back at the racist NRA by unleashing one of their own condemning it

Laverne's 'The View' Suggestion As To Why Trump Hasn't Done A Pride Proclamation
Had to chuckle when I saw this video of Laverne Cox's recent appearance on ABC's The View and Joy Behar asked her for her thoughts on Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) Orange Is The New Black, transgender rights issues, trans people in the media and why 45 hasn't issued a pride proclamation like his predecessor President Obama did.
Laverne as usual does a fantastic job in driving home the point that TBLGQ Americans are also Americans, then slides a comment aimed at 45 you'll have to watch.
Enjoy

Call Me Ashley
As I have repeatedly pointed out over the history of this blog, trans people are part of the diverse mosaic of human life and we can be found on nearly every inhabited continent on planet Earth and every region of it.
That includes as we definitely can tell you at the Black Trans Advocacy Conference, Jamaica and the Caribbean.
Meet Ashley Gordon, a girl like us from Montego Bay who is and out and proud fashion blogger and model. She tells her story in two videos for the Jamaica Observer that were originally posted in September 2015.

Rep. Senfronia Thompson Calls Out The TX GOP Transphobic Discrimination
“White. Colored. I was living through that era…bathrooms divided us then, and it divides us now. America has long recognized that separate but equal is not equal at all.” “I can also tell you that separate restrooms for transgender kids, which is what we will be discussing for this bill, are also based on fear and not fact.”
-TX State Rep. Senfronia Thompson (D-Houston)
On this May 21 date that will live in Texas political infamy as 'Discrimination Sunday', the Texas GOP decided to satisfy their inner bigotry and pass a bill (HB 2078) laws to discriminate against Texas trans kids. They also passed another bill that would allow taxpayer funded adoption agencies to refuse to place children with TBLGQ, non-Christian or unmarried people because of religious objections
Rep. Senfronia Thompson has been in the Texas House since she was elected to represent Texas House District 141 since 1972 and is the longest serving African-American woman in the Texas Legislature.
As she did in 2005 in her 'Hellfire Flames of Bigotry' speech in which she called out the passage of the unconstitutional Texas anti-gay marriage amendment to our state constitution, 'Ms. T' was once again standing tall against injustice when she took to the Texas House floor to remind her colleagues that separate is not equal, and discrimination aimed at trans people is just as ugly as when it was done to her and other Black Texans.
Too bad the Texas GOP isn't getting that message through their pointed hoods.
And with us headed once again into a tax money squandering special oppression session, I wanted y'all to see and hear the words of one of the people and Democrats who have had our backs during this Texas legislation oppression session.

President Obama Receives the 2017 JFK Profiles In Courage Award
'I hope that current members of Congress recall that it actually doesn't take a lot of courage to aid those who are already powerful, already comfortable, already influential - but it does require some courage to champion the vulnerable and the sick and the infirm.'
-President Barack Obama
Last night former president (sniff sniff) Barack Obama took a trip to Boston to make one of his first public speeches since 45 was inaugurated on Sunday night to the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum to accept the JFK Profile in Courage Award.
And as you probably guessed, I was glued to the television for that one.
For those of you who missed it, here's the video of his speech. It's so nice to see a POTUS that actually has an eloquent command of the English language.
I miss him in DC.

Happy 82nd Birthday, April Ashley!
Today is the 82 birthday of British trans icon and pioneer April Ashley. She has led an amazing life as a Vogue model, received an MBE back in 2012 and was a plaintiff in Corbett v Corbett, a 1970 marriage case that went the wrong way for her and trans folks in Great Britain of which the repercussions of it didn't get cleaned up until the Gender Recognition Act was passed.
But by living her life, she inspired others in Great Britain to live as their true selves, and she deserves much credit and praise for that.
Happy birthday April! Thank you for being that trans pioneer that we all needed, for the wonderful trailblazing life that you have lived up to this point, the honors that you have received, and may you be blessed to see many more
Here's two clips of her 2015 interview on the British TV show Loose Women
.
A film that documented April's visit to her hometown of Liverpool for her 80th birthday to receive an Honour of the City.

Trans Texans Talk About SB 6
As many of you TransGriot readers are quite aware of, been in the fight to make sure that SB 6 and any other anti-trans discriminatory bills die.
SB 6 has gotten much of the attention, and while I was at the Capitol building back on March 20, I ran into on the south lawn the GLAAD film crew that had just come from the nearby University of Texas to talk to trans Longhorns about the unjust bill and heir thoughts about it.
The video is finally up, so check it out.

The All In For Equality Texas Rally Speeches
I got up at 3:30 AM CDT so I could board a bus headed to Austin to participate in the All In For Equality Lobby Day. I was also tapped to be one of the speakers at the rally happening on the south Texas Capitol steps, and if you wish to hear my comments, they start around the 13;00 minute mark of the video
And here's the link to me, Sara Ramirez and other orators speaking truth to power outside the Texas State Capitol.

The Terrific Ten TX Dem Senators Oppose SB 6
For those of you who were wondering where were the Texas Senate Democrats in opposition to SB 6 and its 21-10 passage in the Texas Senate on Tuesday and Wednesday to sen it to the Texas House, they were live and in full effect in opposing this bill. Unfortunately we hand one DINO in Sen. Eddie Lucio, Jr who joined the Texas GOP trans oppressors
But elections matter, and the GOP has a 20-11 edge in the Texas Senate. You don't like that, vote the GOP oppressors out starting in 2018. That DINO Lucio needs to primary challenged.
Ten senators rose in opposition to the Texas Transgender Oppression Act that Houston GLBT Caucus president Fran Watson has dubbed 'The Terrific Ten'
Here are their words in opposition to the unjust bill.
Sen. Sylvia Garcia
Sen. Judith Zaffirini
Sen. Jose Menendez
Sen Chuy Hinojosa
Sen John Whitmire

Moni's SB 6 Opposition Testimony
As many of you TransGriot readers are aware of, I was one of those 271 Texans who headed to Austin and spent several hours waiting in the overflow rooms in our state capitol building to express our oral opposition to SB 6, the Texas Transgender Oppression Act.
There were another 1302 Texans who expressed their distaste for SB online
Thanks to my friends at Transform Houston, I now have video of that March 7 testimony in front of the Senate State Affairs Committee for you to watch.
Enjoy

A Bathroom User Speaks About The Unjust GOP Bathroom Bills
We trans women know that the GOP Bathroom Bills like Texas' SB 6 are bull feces, and don't do anything except oppress trans woman, damage a state's economy and give Republican legislators raw meat for their base to run for reelection on.
Seriously TV has this video taking a potshot at the Republican Party for pushing these unjust bills and calls out their War on Women.

Dale Hansen Unplugged- Mack Beggs
Whenever I'm in the Dallas-Ft Worth area and have time to watch the local news there, I tune into WFAA-TV 8 so I can watch Dale Hansen's sports reports and his 'Hansen Unplugged' commentary.
Yesterday he commented on Euless Trinity trans wrestler Mack Beggs' Texas Class 6A girls wrestling state championship in his weight class and the stuck on stupid UIL trans athletic policy that led to it.
Beggs because of the lack of UIL vision and their transphobia, was forced to despite being on testosterone for his transition and he and his family asking he allowed to wrestle against boys, forced by UIL bureaucrats to wrestle against girls.
That lack of UIL vision led to Beggs undefeated 56-0 championship season that shined a glaring spotlight on how unfair the UIL policy was to all concerned. It will hopefully lead the UIL idiots in Austin to change it to mirror the more progressive NCAA standards.
