This time the State Republican Executive Committee debated for two hours before they came up with the inevitable no. While they had some supporters, they were dwarfed by the faux faith based TBLGQ bigots in the room
Our friends in California have had their share of Democratic and Republican leaning actors running for public office in the Golden State.
George Lloyd Murphy served as the Republican US Senator for California from 1965-1971 and basically was the person that role modeled the transition path from notable actor to a politician that Ronald Reagan and later Arnold Schwarzenegger successfully followed.
Seaking of Reagan and Schwarzenegger, both have been Republican governors of California.
Reagan parlayed his time as Cali's 33rd governor from 1967-1975 into two terms as the 40th president of the United States from 1981-1989.
Schwarzenegger parlayed his movie career into two terms as California's 38th governor. 'The Governator' served from from 2003-2011.
And I can't forget Sonny Bono. He served as the Republican congressman from California's 44th congressional District from 1995 until his death from injuries sustained in a skiing accident in 1998
On the California Democratic Party side, there was Helen Gahagan Douglas, who became the third woman in US history and the first Democratic woman elected to Congress from California.
She represented California's 14th Congressional District from 1945-1951.
She ran for the US Senate in 1950, and was unfortunately subjected by Richard Nixon to the most vicious smear campaign in California history that ended her political career and started Nixon's until it ended in the disgrace the Watergate scandal.
Democrat Sheila Kuehl was a child actor and attorney who later served three terms in the California State Assembly's 41st District from 1994-2000 and later in the California Senate's 23rd District from 2008-2008.
She was elected to the LA County Board of Supervisors in 2014 and is still serving her 3rd District constituents.
That pattern continues today, with unabashed Trump supporter Antonio Sabato, Jr announcing last year he was going to run for Congress in 2018 as a Republican and challenge Rep. Julia Brownley (D) in the 26th District that covers southern Ventura County.
Brownley has represented the district since 2013.
And now we have actress and former FOX Nose pundit Stacey Dash announcing that she is going to run for the US Congress in the 44th Congressional District currently represented by freshman Democrat Nanette Barragan.
It's going to be a tough slog for her, since the district is 70% Latinx and covers South Los Angeles. Three of the neighborhoods and cities represented by Rep. Barragan are Watts, Carson and Compton. It also went overwhelmingly for Clinton 83%-12%
And if Stacey Dash thinks that Black folks forgot that she sold our community out while taking paychecks from FOX Noise as a political commentator, she really is clueless about the fact her Black card has been revoked and we haven't forgotten what she said about us.
And naw Stacey, I haven't forgotten that foul comment you made on FOX Noise about trans women. Something about we can 'go pee in the bushes'.

In the wake of the outing of three more closeted Pink Republicans, the debate has been stirred up in LGBT World once again as to whether it is ethical or moral to do so and whether it harms or helps our rainbow human rights movement.
Here's my take on outing. If the person in question holds a position of policy making, judicial or legislative power, and is consistently using it to negatively impact the TBLG community while being GLBT themselves, yeah, you need to be outed and called on it.
I have no sympathy for you in this case because self hating closeted people are problematic. Self hating closeted people with policy making, legislative or judicial power who consistently use it to negatively impact the human rights of a marginalized group are dangerous to not only themselves, but the marginalized group they are a part of.
Clarence Thomas proves that point for African-Americans every SCOTUS session when he consistently rules with the other four white male conservative justices on cases that negatively impact the human rights of our people The only thing more galling about (in)Justice Scalia's 'racial entitlement ' comments and Chief Justice Roberts cluelessly stating that the VRA that he's worked for decades to destroy was 'no longer needed' was Thomas' sellout behind voting to eviscerate Section 4 of the VRA.
But for an example of a person from the GLBT community who was in a decision making capability who repeatedly acted in ways to harm the community, you need look no further than Ken Mehlman.
He was Director of the White House Office of Political Affairs from 2001-2005, ran the 2004 GW Bush reelection campaign and was chairman of the Republican Party from 2005-2007 until he came out three years later.
Despite being gay himself (and he repeatedly denied it while holding those power positions), he pushed the effort to exploit anti-gay animus to cement the alliance of anti-gay conservatives for Republican political gain at the expense of the human rights of LGBT people.
Mehlman was quite aware that Karl Rove was working with other Republicans to put anti-gay referenda and anti-gay marriage amendments on the 2004 and 2006 ballots to cynically increase turnout for those election cycles, but said and did nothing about it. Worse, he stacked much paper while remaining mute.
So he came out. Big fracking deal because the damage has already been done and he's long since cashed his checks for his reprehensible work. We are going to be spending the next decade or so unraveling the damage to our human rights this self hater caused. It is time, energy and money that could have been spent focusing on other issues of important to our community.
So when it comes to people like this who only care about themselves, their personal power, prestige and bank accounts while screwing the rest of us, then yeah, out 'em.

The Log Cabin Republicans motto is “inclusion wins.” If LGBT Americans are serious about winning equality for all, rather than merely playing politics, Republicans must be part of the team.
I am not surprised by how low the Log Cabin Sellouts will go to kiss the behinds of the Republican Party. They're Republicans and Rep Barney Frank had already told the truth about them, so I already had low expectations for them that they met with this endorsement of Mitt Romney.
I had no illusions they would endorse President Obama, a man who has presided over the most LGBT friendly administration in history, deserves a second term in the Oval Office and is far more qualified for the job than the businessman who ships jobs to China to line his Cayman Islands bank accounts with cash and thinks corporations are people..
I'd hoped they would at least show a shred of integrity and loyalty to the rainbow community by not endorsing in this race at all if they couldn't be honest enough with themselves to endorse the person that repealed DADT, passed the Byrd Shepard Hate Crimes Bill, saved the US auto industry, passed the Affordable Care Act and got Osama bin Laden like he promised to do. .
Far from the lofty rhetoric in their statement, they proved they were Republicans first, have zero loyalty to the LGBT community and will not challenge their party even when the guy they endorsed doubled down on positions diametrically opposite to the things the LGBT rights movement is striving to achieve.

And yeah, I and a lot of other people in this community like having a POTUS and FLOTUS that shares our ethnic background and want to see them continuing to represent our nation until January 20, 2017.
But what we want even more is these Tea Klux Klan sellouts like Allen West gone along with his racist buds and return the adults back to the halls of Congress to help solve the country's problems .
So you can be Boo Boo the Fool if you wanna be, but if you wish to have a government that works for you and your kids, grandkids, nieces, nephews....you get the drift, then you better run, not walk to the nearest polling place in this election and every one that happens from now on and ensure that you're putting not only President Obama back in the White House, but give him a Democratic congress to work with to continue cleaning up the GOP mess that GW Bush left him.
And while you're at it, you need to be kicking everything with an (R) beside his or her name at the state, local and federal level and in the judicial branches out of office too and keep them out.
Until they expunge that Tea Klux Klan element out of their party, the only good GOP politician is an out of office one.

The press release has this line in it amongst others that had me doubling over in laughter
