Harris County GOP Chair-Elect Puts Up Racist Post

Image may contain: 1 person, text that says 'Keith Nielsen for Harris County GOP Chair added a new photo. Thursday at 7:40 PM "injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere" KEITM ਲহর 林林 NIELSEN'
The Harris County Republicans are still big mad that the citizens of Harris County in the 2018 Blue Tsunami fired many of them from office including former incumbent Harris County Judge Ed Emmett, every Republican judge on the ballot from the district to the state court of appeals level,, and the odious vote suppressing county clerk Stan Stanart.

Harris County Republican Party - Home | FacebookNow that the largest and most diverse county by population in Texas is undeniably blue instead of purple, the Harris County Republicans are not only desperate to hang on to whatever political seats they have left here and flip some Democratic held ones, they are desperate for media attention as well.

And they are about to get it

Texas county GOP chair-elect won't assume office amid backlash for ...Meet Keith Nielsen.   He just got elected as the new Harris County Republican Party chair and was due to start on August 3.  Before he even got a chance to take control of the party and start running thangs, he was derailed by a salient feature of the Republican Party.

Racism.

Republicans from Harris County to Austin to DC  are okay with covert racism, especially if it keeps them in power. But what they have a problem with is when that racism goes from the covert variety to the full blown non deniable overt variety.

When that eruption of overt racism and bigotry by someone in their ranks threatens their future election prospects, then it becomes a problem they address.

That's why you saw the amusing spectacle of Harris County area, state and national Republicans like Sen Ted Cruz, Gov Greg Abbott, Lt Gov Dan Patrick and Texas GOP chair James Dickey.denouncing the tweet and calling for his resignation.

It also didn't help Nielsen that GOP county chairs in Bexar (San Antonio) and Nueces (Corpus Christi) counties are also under fire  for their own offensive social media posts  that have gotten unwanted media attention

After resisting for a few days, Nielsen finally succumbed to the mounting political pressure and resigned.

The Harris County Republicans are back to where they started in terms of trying to find a new chair, and they can't under state election law start the process until August 3.

Sucks to be y'all.   But then again, I'm enjoying the schadenfreude

Trump Is A Racist, And So Are You If You Support Him

Like every rational African American, I supported and voted for Hillary Clinton in the 2016 election because as I warned y'all repeatedly in the runup to that election,  Trump was historically bad  and unqualified to become POTUS.

Some of y'all were too caught up in your 'Bernie lost' fee fees to get over it and see the big political picture that I and many Black voters saw as November 8 loomed.

It was about the SCOTUS and the federal court system, stupid

Image result for nixon leaves office
Because of your lack of political vision, we are now navigating the worst presidency of my lifetime, and I was a teen during the Nixon years.

Black people have known for decades that Trump was a racist, and after his unwarranted attacks on four POC US congresswomen, some of y'all are finally shaking off the willful ignorance along with the media to call his racist azz out.

Image result for Trump texas women CNN
Now it's time for you folks who fell for the okey doke, voted for Trump and gleefully support him to come to grips with an unpleasant truth about yourselves.

Since you are enabling and unquestioningly defending his azz, that makes all you MAGA hat wearing white peeps and the 53% of white women who voted for Trump racists as well.

And before you go there, don't even part your conservalips to illogically call me 'racist' for calling out the racism I undeniably see.

You don't like Moni saying that unpleasant truth about you?   Too damned bad.   You voted for and still support a man that David Duke endorsed.  With every passing day of this incompetent mispresidency he makes it clear he hates Black and non white people.

And y'all are eating up the oppression, hate speech and cruelty he aims at us.  Some of you are even engaging in it.

Spare me the whitesplaining about how saying 'go back to you country' is not racist because it is.

To me, the most disgusting Trump supporters are ones who are in the trans and SGL community.  That's a rant for another time.

Note to you Trumpettes and MAGAts.  I am not obligated as an American citizen to unquestioningly love this country.   That what you conservafools do.   I love my country enough to praise it when it does the right thing and when it's wrong, to use my First Amendment rights to speak truth to power and call BS out.

I love my country when it comes closer to living up to its democratic principles and I see people who look like me participating in governing it.  I want it to be better and always striving to evolving to be a more perfect union.

Image may contain: stripes
Trump and his ilk want a dark, white supremacist America that is the antithesis of the beloved community that the Rev Dr Martin Luther King talked about  Your racism is not patriotism, and the sooner you MAGAts grasp that concept, the better our country will be.

Trump is undeniably a racist.  Disagreeing with him doesn't make me un American.  It makes me a patriot.

Tired Of The Racist Commentary Being Aimed At Judge-elect Hidalgo

Image may contain: 2 people, people smiling, people standing
On Tuesday night no doubts were left that Harris County is undeniably blue as the blue tsunami knocked every remaining Republican judge off the bench, fired the much disliked Stan Stanart, and left every executive position in Democratic hands when the night was over.

Image result for lina hidalgo
Lina Hidalgo's upset win over longtime county judge Ed Emmett combined with Adrian Garcia's win for the Precinct 2 commissioners court seat put the Democrats in control of that body for the first time in over a decade.

Much of the racist vitriol about the shellacking the Harris County Republicans took Tuesday night is being aimed at our new county judge-elect, who at 27 is the youngest person ever elected to the position since 1937.  She's also the first Latina to also hold the top executive position in Harris County.

And frankly. I'm tired of it.

Image result for ed emmett
As you have probably guessed, the commentary from the right wing peanut gallery is that 'straight ticket Democratic voters put her in office'.  And that came from sore loser Ed Emmett.

The MAGAt's have picked up on that attack line, in addition to calling her 'unqualified' and 'inexperienced' along with other epithets I won't repeat in this post.   As for the other ridiculous charge of 'she's never attended a Harris County commissioners court meeting' or 'hasn't spent much time in the county', hello, she was spending that time outside the county getting a Stanford degree.

I am a native Houstonian and I've never attended a commissioners court meeting either.   So what's your point with that BS line?    I know one commissioner court meeting I am going to attend soon is the one in which she and Adrian Garcia are officially sworn in.

Image result for lina hidalgo
Hidalgo has a degree from Stanford University and studied public policy at Harvard.  She's going to get a chance to put that education to work on behalf of the 5 million residents of Harris County.

I find it interesting y'all don't worry about qualifications and experience when it's a Republican white male running for a position.   You also didn't complain about straight ticket voting when it benefitted your party in 2010 and 2014.

And speaking of complaints, I'll bet if Hidalgo were a white female with the same or lesser qualifications, we wouldn't be hearing a peep out of the GOP peanut gallery, especially if she was on their political team.  But because she's a Latinx woman, and her upset win flipped control of commissioner's court to make it look more like our diverse county, y'all wanna hate.

I'm also tired of hearing people on the left grousing about Emmett being bounced.  Really don't care, because as far as I'm concerned, the only good Republican politician these days is an out of office one.

If Emmett were a good man as y'all claim he is, he would have left the Republican Party.  Since he didn't, he paid the political price for it in a county that is filled with non-white people sick and tired of being repeatedly attacked and demonized by the Texas GOP.

Harris County is blue, I and the majority of Democratic voters wanted Democrats in these positions and we seized the opportunity to make Harris County blue again.

And yes, I think she'll do an excellent job in the position.

So be mad and stay mad about that Harris County GOP snowflakes.   But what we will not do is tolerate racist commentary being aimed at our new County Judge-elect.|

Arizona Family Calls Out Their Racist Congressional Brother

Image result for paul gosar arizona
Many of us in POC America have been saying for years now that progressive white people need to call their racist relatives and family members out instead of ignoring them in silence.

That call for our white allies to call out their racist kin has taken an even more urgent tone as the bigots have come out to play in the wake of Dolt 45's election.

We have an interesting example of how to call out your racist relatives coming from Arizona.

Paul Gosar (R) is a far right wing nut congressman who has repped Arizona's 4th Congressional District since 2013.    Gosar has claimed that the infamous Nazi rally in Charlottesville, VA was planned and executed by 'The Left', defended British far-right activist Tommy Robinson, attacked "disgusting and depraved" Muslim immigrants at a speech in London in July, and in a Vice News interview, called billionaire George Soros a Nazi sympathizer.

His six siblings, horrified and disgusted by his long list of far right peccadilloes, all signed a letter printed in the Kingman Daily Miner stating: "It is extremely upsetting to have to call you out on this, Paul, but you've forced our hand with your deceit and anti-Semitic dog whistle."

Image result for Gosar siblings
The Gosar siblings haven't stopped there.  They are now taking the step of endorsing his Democratic opponent, Dr. David Brill  in the upcoming November election because they don't want him repping the 4th Congressional District any longer.

To make that happen, Tim, David, Jennifer, Grace, Gaston, and Joan Gosar also cut a brutal ad that called their racist brother out.

Brill 's campaign s considered a longshot to unseat Gosar, but when your own family is willing to go on camera to say that you shouldn't be in Congress, that's gotta hurt you big time politically.

We'll find out how effective the ad was on November 6.

Racism Is NOT Going To Die Off

Image result for Syracuse racist frat
The latest racist incident involving white younglings on a college campus is more evidence pointing to the fallacy of thought that racism will end when the Greatest Generation and the Baby Boomers die off.

Umm no.   To me, the chatter to 'wait until the old racists die' is an excuse for people to do nothing to aggressively attack and eradicate the problem of racism in our society.

And once again for the people in the back, everybody can't be racist.   Everybody can be bigoted and prejudiced

What that statement fails to take into account is that racist parents will attempt to pass on their racist commentary and belief systems to their kids.  Racist relatives will do the same thing.

Image result for klan kid
Some of those kids targeted will reject it, while others will embrace it and pass it on to their kids, nieces and nephews.  If they are successful in doing so, that keeps it going for another generation or two.

Image result for Black people discussing racism
And please spare me the kissing cousin to this flawed thinking that if 'you people didn't talk about racism, it would go away' comment.  Me and other non-white people talking about the negative ways in which racism affects our lives is not 'perpetuating racism', it's diagnosing the problem.

You can't eradicate a problem until you discuss the scope of it and what you need to do to successfully fix it.   That's why we non-white peeps talk about it on a regular basis to remind you peeps who o through your lives without being affected by it that it exists, the problems, micro and macroaggressions we deal with are real, and that racism is simply not going to magically end by ignoring it or doing nothing about it.

Nicholle Ramsey, right, Mike Leutgeb Munson, center, and Spencer Klausing carry a banner during a peaceful gathering and march, Saturday, July 9, 2016, in Winona, Minn., to support the Black Lives Matter movement and to condemn the killing of Philando Castile. A suburban St. Paul police officer who killed the black driver reacted to the man’s gun, not his race, his attorney said Saturday, giving the most detailed account so far of why the officer drew his own weapon during the traffic stop. (Taylor Nyman/Winona Daily News via AP)
If you want to erase racism in this society, it is going to take some heavy lifting to do, with the vast majority of the work needing to happen to make racism a thing of the past occurring with our white siblings.

Racism is not going to die off.  The only way it will be eliminated in our society by sustained ongoing anti-racist action.

Not Feeling The Syracuse Theta Tau Chapter Bigotry

SU Chancellor Kent Syverud on Sunday sent a campus-wide email to address the release of two videos showing offensive behavior by members of the Theta Tau fraternity.
Once again we have another instance of the racism that has exploded out of hiding in our American culture ever since the White Supremacist in Chief entered the White House.

As I have said since 45's disgusting inauguration, the bigots now feel empowered to let their swastika flags fly and openly wear those Klan robes in public.  They also feel empowered to say racist and bigoted crap until they get called on it.

Image result for syracuse university theta tauThis time the students behaving badly video comes from Syracuse University, and it was a videotaped fraternity initiation that was acquired by the independent student newspaper the Syracuse Orange.

The frat caught behaving badly was the Theta Tau professional engineering one

The first videotape shows a student on his knees sweating to hate Black, Jewish, gay and Latinx people and using the slur words for each group. . A second person is taped in it using a derogatory word for Jews and makes a veiled references to Nazi gas chambers

A second videotape has also surfaced in which mimics a sexual assault on a disabled person while reciting derogatory language.

When the videos surfaced, the Theta Tau members tried to weakly claim the comments were 'satire' (yeah, right) and that they were lampooning a conservative Republican member of Theta Tau.

Image result for syracuse university
Naw fools, don't even try and insult my intelligence with that bull feces laden lie.  Y'all were gleefully uttering those racial slurs and forgot that cameras are everywhere these days.

Syracuse University was not amused, and after Chancellor Kent Syverud apologized for the reprehensible comments and videos, SU dropped the disciplinary hammer on Theta Tau.

The fraternity has been permanently banned from campus.   The tapers were turned over to local law enforcement because the frat is being investigated for possible criminal charges.

19 students are also facing being expelled from the university

If you peeps haven't learned anything from this pot, take this point away from it.  Racism can cost you 'bigly', and your boy Trump isn't going to do or say a damned thing to save your azz when the hammer comes down on you for being a bigoted douchenozzle.

Another Week, Another Bigot Becky

Image may contain: 3 people, text
One of the conversations my mother and I were having a few nights ago was about finding the silver linings in this Trump misadminstration.  One blessing that Mom pointed out is that it is revealing to us in real time who the racist peeps are.

Because the bigots feel so comfortable expressing themselves since his upset win happened back in November 2016, ,the bigot eruptions have been coming with regular frequency

Heather Wick - SASHA GOLDSTEIN
The latest Bigot Becky to find out the hard way that the Internet is forever is Dr. Heather Wick of Burlington, VT.

She posted on her Twitter feed the comment asking if Trump was bringing back slavery because she could use a maid.

Hmm wonder if she's part of the 53% of white women who voted for this incompetent sexual predator?.   It's also laughable that someone took the time to write this article trying to claim she was bipolar.

Being bipolar, like white women's tears, doesn't give you a get out of jail free card when you say or post problematically racist crap online or try to pass it off as 'a joke'

Image result for slave ships
Talking about slavery in that manner damned sure isn't  isn't 'funny to those of us who had enslaved ancestors less than 150 years ago .  It also isn't funny when you have white supremacists currently working in the White House like Stephen Miller, and a racist one as the POTUS.

Sorority Bigot Expelled From University of Alabama After Racist Video

Harley Barber.
Well, looks like another Sorority Bigot Becky had to learn a couple of lessons the hard way.

*Being in the South doesn't give your straight outta New Jersey behind carte blanche to indiscriminately say the n-word.

*Don't put you bigotry out there on the Net where you WILL get called on it, especially by Black Twitter

*This WILL be following you for the rest of your life
.

*Being a bigot costs, and you shedding white tears after the fact will not protect you from paying that cost

In this case it cost Harley Barber her membership in the Alpha Phi sorority and got the 19 year old freshman expelled from the University of Alabama for her expletive filled videotaped rant she posted on of all days Martin Luther King, Jr Day.

Image result for harley barber new jersey
Despite her sorority sisters in the Beta Mu chapter warning her not to post it, Bigot Becky kept right on going, doubling down on her videotaped hate speech.

Maybe she was auditioning for the FOX Noise show Outnumbered.   Naah, wrong hair color for that.

Image result for alpha phi sorority alabama
And then the hammer came down for her actions.   She was expelled from Alpha Phi sorority and from the University of Alabama on Tuesday.

"Alpha Phi is a diverse, values-based organization and condemns the language and opinions in these videos," Linda Kahangi, the executive director of Alpha Phi International, said in a statement.  "They are offensive and hateful to both our own members and to other members of the Greek and campus community. The [University of Alabama] chapter leadership and supporting alumnae moved quickly to address the offense, and Ms. Barber is no longer a member of Alpha Phi."

Then the second hammer came down hours laters on Tuesday from the University of Alabama, courtesy of UA President Stuart R. Bell.

"In light of the racist and disturbing videos posted by one of our students on social media, I want to express my personal disgust and disappointment.
Image result for university of alabama
Like many of you, I find the videos highly offensive and deeply hurtful, not only to our students and our entire University community, but to everyone who viewed them. The actions of this student do not represent the larger student body or the values of our University, and she is no longer enrolled here.
We hold our students to much higher standards, and we apologize to everyone who has seen the videos and been hurt by this hateful, ignorant and offensive behavior. This is not who we are; it is unacceptable and unwelcome here at UA. These types of incidents affect community members differently. If you have been impacted and would like additional support, please access resources here that are available to you on our campus.
Over the last year, I have had conversations with many of you who shared your UA experiences with me. You have voiced your pride in the progress we have made, but we still have much work to do. I want to thank all of the students, faculty and staff who met today to have conversations about this event and the steps we can take, individually and collectively, to create a more welcoming and inclusive campus. You have my commitment and the commitment of our leadership team to sustain progress and address directly any issues that arise.
I know you join me in taking a stand against this and all reprehensible behavior. As members of this community, we are a family and this is our home. Everyone has a right to feel safe and welcome here."
Roll Tide!   She's probably on the bus from Tuscaloosa back to Marlton, New Jersey  now   And if you're wondering if she's a Republican and a Trump supporter, yep she is.

harley barber
But no Harley, you not only just learned you can't say the n-word in the South (or anywhere else in the USA) you're just the latest bigoted white person to learn the hard lesson that racist speech, especially when it's videotaped, has consequences.

Sen. Booker Calls Out DHS Secretary For Silence About Trump's Racism

Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ) put Department of Homeland Security Kirstjen Nielsen on blast during a Senate oversight committee hearing today or cosigning Trump's racist comments about Haiti and other African nations

He also called he out for her convenient bout of amnesia when question about Trump's comments.

“The commander in chief, in an Oval Office meeting, referring to people from African countries and Haitians with the most vile and vulgar language — that language festers,” Sen. Booker said. “When ignorance and bigotry is alive with power, it’s a dangerous force in our country. Your silence and your amnesia is complicity.”
He also call Nielsen out about DHS ignoring the overwhelming evidence concerning white supremacist terrorism in this country.

Civil Rights Icon Rep. John Lewis Calls Out Trump Racist Comment

Image result for Rep John Lewis
I haven't commented on 45's comment because I told y'all during the 2016 campaign he was a racist POS and some of y'all were too caught up in hatin' on Hillary to listen.

Can you hear my azz now?

Here's civil rights icon Rep. John Lewis (D-GA) commenting on Trump's s***hole comment in a recent MSNBC interview

H&M's Racist Advertising Fail

One if the things you simply don't go that will with no questions asked get you called a racist is to refer to or compare any African descended person to an ape.

You will get called out with the quickness on it by Black People across the African Diaspora

Obviously there wasn't a Black person in the room when the Swedish headquartered H&M approved this ad that has a Black kid modeling a green hooded sweatshirt with the words 'Coolest monkey in the jungle' emblazoned on it.

Image result for H&M monkey sweatshirt
And if you think I'm being harsh about calling this a 'racist advertising fail' , explain why the white child models have hoodies on with the words 'mangrove jungle survival expert'?

I'll wait for you to come up with an excuse.     An accident?   Accident my azz/.

Image result for H&M monkey sweatshirt
After all the times you have seen other retailers over the years get called out for similar racist faux pas advertising crap, it's obvious that y'all not only didn't think this out but didn't have Black people in the room when y'all were brainstorming this.

As for those of you wondering why me and of Black people are going off about this, it's because of Black people for centuries have been called monkeys.   White people have been using that racist characterization of us to oppress, denigrate and dehumanize our community.

Yes, you have apologized for it, but it still doesn't change the fact you cluelessly (or willfully) did it

Special PISD Board Meeting Today

Image result for john kelly pearland isd
Today at noon the Pearland ISD is having a special board meeting.

In the special board meeting announcement it says one of the issues being covered is 'to deliberate the duties of the Superintendent of Schools.'  Looks like they are probably going to be discussing the interesting revelations that surfaced last week concerning Pearland ISD superintendent John Kelly's son Patrick.

Patrick's now taken down Facebook page was a hot racist mess of white supremacist negativity aimed not only at various ethnic groups, but the transgender community as well.

Image result for Pearland ISD headquarters
Dr. Kelly, while screeching about 'parental responsibility' on his PISD website blogs, has also made some homophobic and transphobic remarks, and was also in Austin back in March gleefully testifying in favor of an SB 6 bill that would oppress many of his students in the rapidly diversifying city and school district.

While Dr. Kelly has been loud and proud about demonizing Kai Shappley and the TBLGQ community, he's been cricket chirping silent about the allegations concerning his own white supremacist son as PISD parents increasingly want to know what is going on with the man tasked to oversee the district in which their children are being educated.

Pearland Independent School District
So it's going to be interesting to see what transpires at the end of this special school board meeting and if some statement comes out of 1928 N. Main St.

TransGriot Update:  As I suspected would be the case,  nothing happened.  As long as the conservafools have majority control of the PISD board,  no accountability will be forthcoming to John Kelly

It's up to progressive PISD parents to clean house on that board and vote Kelly's allies off of it.

Why The Dove Commercial Was Racist

Image may contain: 9 people, people smiling
There are some of you out there wondering what the fuss was concerning the Dove commercial ans why it was getting put on blast across the Net.

Time for a quick history lesson.

Blackface has been used to demean, denigrate and disrespect Black people for over a century.   And part of that anti-Blackness campaign was using that imagery in advertising campaigns .

And when those derogatory images were used in the soap commercials of the late 19th and early 20th century, they usually showed the product turning a dark skinned person white.

That's why the Dove commercial  was offensive despite the message they were trying to send.   If they had not gone to the white woman after the Black woman  in the commercial, they probably would have dodged the uncomfortable 21st century version of the old racist 'wash the Black off you' soap commercials they ended up with.

Image result for racist dove soap commercial
It also speaks to who was in the room when they came up with the concept of this commercial.  There obviously either weren't any Black folks in the room, or ones familiar with this problematic racist history when they came up with the concept for it.

And because of the overwhelming whiteness of the advertising industry, I suspect that was the case, and there was  no culturally competent person in the room.

Air Force Academy Superintendent Calls Out Racism On AFA Campus

Lt Gen Jay Silveria
“There is absolutely no place in our Air Force for racism. It’s not who we are, nor will we tolerate it in any shape or fashion. The Air Force strives to create a climate of dignity and respect for all. Period."-Lt Gen Jay Silveria
The US Air Force Academy is located in Colorado Springs, CO, the same city that is the headquarters of the nefarious right wing group Focus on the Family.

A photo of U.S. Airforce Academy Cadets walking towards a college football field before a game.
Been hearing some disturbing stories over the last few years about faith based infiltration of the AFA  and the Air Force to the point that there's a derisive joke that states 'What Would Jesus Bomb?

Like everywhere else in the country, the hatred has gone off the chain since Trump's election, and on Monday, hate messages with ''go home n*****s' were discovered scrawled on the whiteboards of five Black cadets at the AFA Preparatory School

Lt. Gen Jay Silveria, the superintendent of the US Air Force Academy, addressed thousands of students about the attack, and this is the response 45 should have had in the aftermath of Charlottesville instead of coddling the Nazis.

Bravo, Lt. Gen. Silveria.  This is what leadership looks like.

Jemele Hill Spoke Truth To Power, and I Stand With Her

Related image
One of the things I'm really sick of with this Trump misadministration is their War on Journalism.

Image result for Jemele Hill tweetI've especially not been happy about WH Minister of Disinformation Sarah Huckabee Sanders attacking Black female journalists

First it was Sanders attacking veteran White House correspondent April D. Ryan, and now this attack on ESPN's Jemele Hill.

Hill on Monday said the obvious to everyone who was paying attention while expressing her First Amendment rights on Twitter.

She called 45 during a tweet storm what he has demonstrated himself to be,  a white supremacist that surrounds himself with white supremacists and said he was the worst POTUS of her lifetime.

Hey, she;s not wrong..

For those of you who have a problem with HIll's comment, does Steve Bannon ring a bell?  Sebastian Gorka? Jefferson Beauregard Sessions? Nazis carrying tiki torches in Charlottesville that Trump called 'good people'?  David Duke calling Trump 'one of them'?

Image result for Jemele Hill tweetOf course, all the white supremacist hit dogs are hollering and mad because a Black woman (as usual) spoke truth to power.  ESPN caved and tweeted out an apology for her speaking the truth about Twittolini, and of course Sanders used her White House propaganda rally today to call for Jemele Hill to be fired from her ESPN gig,

Really?  The National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) quickly posted this comment defending Hill

Jemele Hill is an award-winning, veteran journalist who has distinguished herself for having insightful opinions and perspectives on a variety of topics. Having been successful along those lines for 20 years, she has been able to connect with viewers on ESPN as well as on various social media platforms. That withstanding, the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) supports Hill's First Amendment rights on all matters of discussion, within and outside the world of sports, as they do not impinge on her duties as a host and commentator.

Black activists and media celebrities also have taken to Twitter and other outlets to stand with Hill

And so do I. I'm waiting to see if these white fauxminists will stand with her, or prove once again that solidarity is for white women only.

You do know ESPN by issuing that apology and leaving this sister hanging, you are cosigning the very white supremacy that Jemele called out?

I'm also tired of the racists and sexist abuse Hill regularly gets online that ESPN cowardly hasn't done jack about, but feels compelled in this case to issue an apology for her on point comments.

Image result for Jemele Hill tweet
Jemele Hill is a shero who spoke truth to power.   She should be applauded for doing so, not reviled.

Moni's Charlottesville Thoughts

As I arose from my busy Saturday at Netroots Nation, the word started circulating here about the white supremacist rally going on in Charlottesville, VA and the tiki torch carrying fools that has now resulted in the deaths of three people.

And this fool in the picture, Peter Cvjetanovic now upset because his picture will forever consume his destiny as one of the angry racists who gathered on this less than proud day in American history

Hey homes, that's why your Klancestors wore hoods.  That way they couldn't be identified when they did their racist crap.   I'm glad y'all are arrogant enough to reveal yourselves so we know who our enemy is.

But I'm not as concerned about these tiki torch carrying Nazis than I am about the white supremacists who have the power to write legislation that perpetuates the problems that white supremacy causes.

I'm more concerned about the white supremacists who have infiltrated our, military, our law enforcement ranks, and who teach our kids.  I'm also concerned about the white supremacists who wear fashion forward pumps

Image result for charlottesville vaI'm also concerned about the people who through their silence and inaction, condone the behavior of the white supremacists in their midsts, and it's past time for you good white people to prove it through action and come get your racist cousins.

But as shameful as these Nazis and Klansmen rallying was, what was even more disgusting was Trump's morally bankrupt reaction to it.

No Dolt 45, it isn't 'both sides', it was only one side bringing the violence, and it was the white supremacist one who endorsed your campaign and as David Duke reminded us, put you in office.

It is your racist campaign that led to what happened in Charlottesville and emboldened the racist cockroaches to come scurrying out into the light.   Your cowardly silence will only encourage more racist acts by them, not end it. and I have zero confidence in your misadministration's willingness to confront them.

It's time once and for all to destroy white supremacy before it destroys the country

Black Lives Matter LA Claps Back Against Racist NRA Ad

This Black Lives Matter chapter just clapped back at the NRA with a biting ad of its own
The NRA recently put out a racist ad narrated by Dana Loesch that not only attacked Black Lives Matter, but can also be described as a white supremacist call to violence.

In addition to being called out about the racist ad, the NRA has also been called out for their deafening silence in the wake of the Philando castile case.

Then again, the NRA is only proving what we've been saying about them for years in that they are a white supremacist organization, and their defense of the Second Amendment is only for the benefit of one ethnic group.

Black Lives Matter clapped back at the racist NRA by unleashing one of their own condemning it
