Another holiday tradition in our trans community gets cranked up on Tuesday with TransFM's Ethan St Pierre doing his 2011 and last edition of Hellidaze broadcasts
Yep, unfortunately that's not a typo. This series of Hellidaze broadcasts when it concludes on December 25 will be the last as Ethan takes a break from activism and being the keeper of TDOR stats to focus on his life for a while.
In the meantime, we'll get the pleasure of Ethan tellin' it like it T-I-S is for at least thirteen days along with his long list of guests.
If you're wondering when Moni is scheduled for her TransFM segment, it will happen December 14 at 8 PM CST. As always if you can't listen to it live you can always check out the archived podcast of it later.

Rebecca Juro Show Podcast Interview Is Up
Back on August 18th I did an interview on the Rebecca Juro show that covered a wide range of topics. I had a blast, and for those of you who missed it she's posted the podcasts of it for your listening pleasure.
You can access it at this link.
Also accessible for your listening pleasure is last night's Dionne Stallworth interview with Becky. I always enjoy my conversations with her because we cover a lot of ground on a wide range of issues as well and as one of our trailblazing African descended transpeople she also had much to say about our history and other topics du jour.

Radio Podcast Tonight At 8 PM EDT
Renee, Allison and I have another exciting show planned for you later tonight on our Womanist Musings Blogtalkradio podcast.Since Canada and the United States both celebrated our respective independence days this week, (July 1 Canada and July 4 USA) we decided to discuss why people in both nations consider their fellow African descended citizens as 'less than patriotic' despite mountains of evidence to the contrary.
We'll have Canadian and American citizens to discuss the topic.
Renee and our guest Matt of the Bastard Logic blog will rep for Canada and tackle the north of the border issues, while Allison and I will rep and discuss the USA. We'll discuss what we observed about our respective nations on this issue from our cross border vantage points.
The show is entitled 'Patriotism Denied The African Canadian/American Experience' and will kick off at 8 PM EDT.
We invite you to listen or comment in the chat room. The call in number is (347) 326-9452. If we get some interesting questions in the chat room we'll try our best to answer them on air.
As always, if you can't listen live, it will post to the show website later for your listening and downloading pleasure.
Hope you'll tune in for what should be an enlightening, informative and entertaining conversation.

We're doing a special Womanist Musings show tonight at 9 PM EDT in honor of the legendary Michael Jackson. You can check out our show page at Blogtalkradio, or if you miss it, check out and download the podcast once it uploads. If you wish to join in the live conversation, the call in number is (347) 326-9452
We'll be back with another show next week on July 4. Since we'll be celebrating Canada Day on Renee's side of the border (July 1) and Independence day on mine, our topic we'll be discussing is why are people of color in Canada and the United States considered less patriotic than white citizens of both countries.
It should be a fascinating conversation.
