Candace Owens DROP Squaded

The mysterious D.R.O.P Squad struck again, with their latest high profile target being Candace Owens.

The D.R.O. P. Squad is a shadowy group that kidnaps and deprograms African Americans who have betrayed their community. 

The D.R.O.P. in DROP Squad refers to 'Deprogramming and Restoration Of Pride'. As of this writing no communique has come from D.R.O.P. Squad leaders explaining why Owens was targeted, but anyone who watches FOX Noise has a pretty good idea. 

Owens was found outside of her home with her makeup and hair perfectly done and endlessly repeating the late Maya Angelou's Phenomenal Woman poem.

She was also when found holding paperwork to change her voting registration to the Democratic Party.

Owens was taken to a local psychiatric hospital for observation after being tested for the COVID-19 virus.

Police are looking for any clues that will lead to the arrest and conviction of the D.R.O.P. Squad, but as of this time have no leads in this case.

Meanwhile security for SCOTUS Justice Clarence Thomas and HUD Secretary Ben Carson has been elevated in the wake of this latest appearance of the D.R.O.P. Squad.

How Debbie Riddle Plans To Enforce Her Unjust Texas Anti-Trans Bills

So how is Teapublican Texas state Rep. Debbie Riddle planning on enforcing her dehumanizing and unjust anti-trans bills that I have no doubt were created by the oppressors at ALEC?

Still waiting for our legacy orgs in the NAACP, the Urban League, and African-American legislators in the Texas legislature and the Texas congressional delegation to forcefully speak our against these bills.  

And I'm getting more angered by their lack of commentary and cricket chirping silence about these unconstitutional attacks on our humanity that will disproportionately have a negative impact on Texas trans people of color. .

UT Fans Welcome Their New Coach To Austin

As I've stated in other UT related blog posts, I'm not a Texas Longhorns fan because I've had negative run-ins with elements of their arrogant and racist fanbase while I was a student at UH during the SWC days. 

In fact, it makes my day when I see their precious $140 million dollar football team of five star recruits get its collective butt kicked by teams that have less cashflow and had to work harder to get their players 

But did have to comment on Charlie Strong becoming the first African-American head coach of their football program.  Word is that Strong has accepted their offer and is about to sign a contract that pays him $5 million a year over the next five years to break the UT coaching color line.  

Congratulations and good luck, brother, you're gonna need it. 

LSUFreek put up at his blog this awesome GIF of the reaction that Strong's hiring as the Longhorn head coach has generated with elements of UT's demanding fanbase.

And yeah, also not happy about the problematic reporting coming out of the Dallas-Ft Worth area about it too. 

Black Twitter Strikes Again On #PaulasBestDishes Hashtag

Paula Deen put her Southern fried foot in her mouth when she revealed her loyalties to all things Southern including that tired tradition of racism.

Deen is embroiled in a million dollar lawsuit over racist behavior with Lisa Jackson, the former general manager of Paula’s restaurant in Savannah, GA

Jackson claims that Deen used the N-word and was harassed and assaulted by her brother Bubba.  

The reason it probably hadn't gone viral until now is because the only paper covering the story was the National Enquirer.  But even they can have a broken clock moment of journalism every now and then and it looks like that is about to happen. 

Deen parted her lips during that videotaped May 17 deposition to reveal that she is not only a Confederate flag waving level racist, she's ignorantly dismissive about it as well.

The fact this news about Deen dropped on Juneteenth did not escape some peeps and as usual on Black Twitter, just as we did a few months ago with the #BlackPrivilege hashtag we gleefully took on the challenge of excoriating her in our own creative way. 

The  #PaulasBestDishes hashtag that has gone viral as I write this post and had me at one point rolling over and in tears laughing at some of the sarcastic cuisine on this list.  Y'all know I couldn't resist jumping in on the fun of roasting this bigot over the coals.

Ten Ways To Tell If You're In A Right Wing Church

With the proliferation of megachurches sometimes insidiously pimping a right wing agenda, as a TransGriot public service, I'm going to help you sort out the cues and clues for when you are sitting in a right wing church and need to expeditiously leave the premises.

1.   The choir robes have pointed hoods.
2.   The cross over the baptismal font has burn marks on it.
3.   During the sermon they are making references to the POTUS being the Antichrist.
4.   They hand you Republican party pamphlets with the offering envelopes
5.   They rail about Mitt Romney being a member of a cult.
6.   The sermon started with 'The Apostle Paul says'.
7.   They tell you you're not a good Christian if you aren't voting for God-fearing family friendly Republicans
8    There's a gun sale in the reception hall after services
9.   They consider the Beatitudes as 'too liberal'. 
10.. They have a barbecue pit for book burnings.
