Transphobic Oklahomans Plot Hate Attack On Pre Teen Trans Child

Burney and Jaime Crenshaw
If I need any more incentive to push harder to pass hate crimes and nondiscrimination legislation that protects trans people, I need to look no further than north of the Red River into Oklahoma

This disgusting series of Facebook posts came to light from Oklahoma courtesy of the Hate Trackers website .  Burney and Jamie Crenshaw in the Achille ISD parents group began ranting about a 12 year old trans girl attending school in the district just north of the Texas-Oklahoma border.   It didn't take long for the Facebook posts to dive into the transphobia ignorance and dehumanizing trans hate speech sewer.

And nope, these aren't the trans child's peers.  They are adults.

Image result for Trans hateOne post by Kevin Bickerstaff advocated encouraging Achille ISD students to violently attack the trans girl in question until she is too afraid and traumatized to come to school.

"Just tell kids to kick ass in the bathroom and it won't want to come back,"  wrote Bickerstaff in his FB post.

Eddie Belcher, who has alleged white supremacist ties, advocated cutting the trans child's genitals.

"If he wants to be female, make him female.  A good sharp knife will do the trick," wrote Belcher.

The conspirators also advocated in those trans hate posts coming to subsequent Achille ISD board meetings to demand they take action against the pre-teen trans student.

Gee, wonder if they will be bringing pitchforks and tiki torches to those Achille ISD meetings as well?

The disturbing posts also got the attention of trans parents groups, the Oklahoma media,  the Achille ISD and our TBLGIQ accomplices.  Meanwhile in reaction to the violent transphobes, the parents of the trans girl sought an emergency protective order on August 10 against Crenshaw.

Achille ISD took down the transphobic  posts from their Facebook page, and it does have an anti-bullying policy   Wonder what Achille ISD superintendent Rick Beene thinks about it and these violent parents wishing to harm a trans child?

Hopefully they have also gotten the attention of law enforcement officials in Oklahoma.

Oklahoma was one of the Republican controlled states in which the legislature pushed for anti-trans hate legislation that fortunately failed.

What happened in Achille is a salient example of anti-trans rhetoric being peddled by the TERF's, the conservative movement, white fundamentalists, right wing media and the GOP for political advantage now filtering down to the unwashed rural Trump loving masses and having negative impacts on the real lives of transgender people.

Anti-trans hate thoughts + anti-trans hate speech = anti-trans hate violence/murders.   You hatemongers are aiming that rhetoric against trans children and it needs to stop.

I repeat, stop it now before it gets to the violence and murder result of the Equation of Trans Hate.

Not Letting Transphobic Comments Slide In The 2K18

In the 2K18, there will be a zero tolerance policy when it comes to transphobic comments.  Be prepare for when I am made aware of them for the callout to swifty follow, and I don't care whether the comments came from a friend foe or frenemy.

When we have just exited a year in which 24 trans people lost their lives, and lost another trans woman in the first week of 2018, that's why I'm not letting transphobic comments slide, especially when they come from POC's.

Image result for TERFs
Since the Texas Lege is not in session until 2019, I'll have time to keep a close watch on these out of control TERF's  (trans exterminationalist/exclusionary radical feminists)

In addition to calling out transphobic comments from them, people within the TBLGQ community are on notice I'm not having it from y'all either.

And I'm definitely going to put on blast self hating trans people like the TS separatists  and the HBSers (or as I call them White Women Born Transsexual).   You can feel froggy and leap if you want to.   You'll be leaping right into a verbal smackdown. .

Anti-trans Hate Thoughts + Anti-trans Hate Speech =  Anti-trans hate violence and murders.

Image result for TERFs
I am tired of TERF's. the kissing cousins to white fundamentalist, peddling the phobic 'trans women don't belong in women's spaces' narrative as my Trans sis Clara Mejias pointed out

'The idea that "women's spaces" are safe havens from violence and trauma is absurd bullshit and I'm DONE humoring that line of discussion.Cis women are violent as f**k when they find a victim they can get away with hurting, same as cis men.'-Clara Mejias

She's right..  Remember  trans woman Chrissy Polis getting attacked in 2011 in a videotaped beatdown in a suburban Maryland McDonald's by a cis woman and a at the time 14 year old juvenile girl?

Or Elizabeth Lambert violently yanking her opponent to the ground during a soccer match by her hair?

Transphobic comments and the transphobic stench they generate will not be tolerated in the 2K18's.  You've been warned.

Why Is The Son of The Pearland ISD Superintendent A White Supremacist?

You longtime TransGriot readers are aware that I have no love for Dr John Kelly, the transphobic and homophobic superintendent of the Pearland Independent School District who has not only been hating on PISD transkids like Kai Shappley, he took time out of his busy schedule to lobby for passage of the unjust SB 6 back in March.

Meet John Kelly's son Patrick Christian Kelly.
Patrick Christian Kelly's Profile Photo, Image may contain: 1 person, smiling, beard

Seems young Mr.. Kelly is even more extreme than his PISD superintendent daddy, and made it clear via his Facebook page how he feels about a wide variety of peeps who don't look like him and his father who is paid big bucks to ensure that all kids who live in the Pearland ISD get a good education

Image may contain: 3 people
Was sent these screenshots of some of Patrick's hateful rhetoric by two of my TransGriot readers that live in PISD  that he proudly posted on his Facebook page.

Image may contain: 2 people, people smiling

Needless to say I'm appalled at the reprehensible racist comments expressed by someone whose middle name ironically is Christian, but is anything but that.   And in case you're wondering, yep, he's a transphobe, too

Hmm, I wonder when the next Pearland ISD school board meeting is happening?

That will taking place Pearland area parents and interested parties on November 28

I'm sure that the parents. taxpayers and board members in the increasing diverse Pearland ISD and city of Pearland have some questions about why the son of their superintendent is posting such off the charts white supremacist hate speech?

We'll see what happens later this month.

TransGriot Update:  Things are happening fast.   Patrick Kelly's FB page has been taken down, and a special PISD board meeting has been called for noon on November 17

NYC Trans Woman Attacked For Riding While Trans

NYC Subway Transphobic Meltdown Queerty
Anti-trans hate thoughts + anti-trans hate speech = anti-trans hate violence/murders.  That is the equation that unfortunately adds up to anti-trans violence aimed at our community

The Republican Party and the conservative movement has been putting unchecked anti-trans hatred in the air, and as I and other trans leaders have been warning, it's just a matter of time before the ignorati seize on that hate speech they put out there and turn into anti-trans hate violence aimed at us.

Here's video recorded by Translatina Network outreach social worker Pearl Love while she was minding her own business on the subway back on April 28.

This member of the ignorati began flinging unsolicited bigoted and transphobic comments at her, and then became agitated as she realized she was being videotaped and subsequently attacked Love.

Love is okay, but  it's just a taste of what we trans folks are increasingly seeing no thanks to the Republican Party gleefully spewing anti-trans hate for fun and political advantage.

And oh yeah, New York State, when are you going to add gender identity to the list of categories in your state's hate crimes law?  This video is more evidence that adding coverage for transgender New Yorkers is sorely needed.

Hate Speech Plus Hate Thoughts Equals Hate Murder

The right wing and their conservasheeple are always shrieking about the First Amendment since the conservafools like to use it as a shield to stifle criticism of their reprehensibly racist and bigoted commentary.

Yes, the United States Constitution’s First Amendment guarantees your right to free speech. At the same time, it guarantees that others with views contrary to yours will get their chance to call your loud and wrong behinds out for the racist and bigoted things you say.

One other thing the right sneers at is the concept of hate speech and its connection with hate violence aimed at non-white and other marginalized groups.  They can try to deny this equation of injustice all they want, but world history and the over a decade of TDOR memorials prove it far too often.

Hate Speech + Hate Thoughts = Hate Murders.

Diamond Williams TransgenderWe in the trans community have sadly seen the pattern continue to repeat itself and with the elevated anti-trans rhetoric has come an explosion of anti-trans violence in Brazil, parts of Central America and Mexico, Eastern Europe and Turkey.

Their hate speech broadcast on their conservative talk radio stations, broadcast over their conservative leaning video outlets, and written in their blogosphere has real world consequences.

Those words they speak get turned into action through either repressive legislation or worse, bullying that escalates to violence and murder.

And it's not just conservatives that engage in it either, we have the four decade old example of trans exterminationalist radical feminists as Exhibit A of that.   (WARNING: TRANSPHOBIC TRIGGER ALERTS)

And oh yeah Southern Poverty Law Center, I ask the question again.  When are you going to declare trans exclusionary radical feminists as the hate group they are?   The trans community and our allies inquiring minds wanna know.

We've all heard the old nursery rhyme of 'sticks and stones can break my bones but words can never hurt me.'  Umm, not true.   Sticks and stones can not only break my bones, but words CAN hurt me and words CAN kill me.

If you claim that's BS, ask the families of the trans people who are no longer here or show up at a TDOR ceremony near you and listen to the long list of names we'll tragically read once again around or on November 20..

Hate speech + Hate thoughts = Hate murders.    The sooner we burn that into our minds the sooner we can get busy doing the work it's going to break that all too familiar equation feeding anti-trans violence.

Oh Hell No Sirius XM!

If you want to know why we have unacceptable levels of anti-trans violence disproportionately affecting POC trans people, one of the root causes is the unchecked hate speech aimed against trans folks.

Whether the anti-trans commentary is regurgitated on the Net, in the news media or the blogosphere, as I've said before and I'm paraphrasing here, trans hate thoughts lead to trans hate speech which equals to trans hate violence and the deaths of trans people .

And the watchdog organization that's supposed to call it out is cricket chirping silent about it.

Another example of hate speech running amok in the media ironically occurred on an outlet founded by a transwoman.   SiriusXM was founded by Martine Rothblatt back in the 90's and hosts on its many channels various talk shows from across the nation.

On one of them, during the June 3 broadcast of the Lex and Terry show they discussed the April Tampa incident in which transwoman Coco McDonald was lured to an abandoned house, robbed and shot twice by a perpetrator who was later arrested.

Lex and Terry not only condoned the crime, but one of them said they would have done the same thing themselves.

Gee, nice to know you wastes of DNA condone the murder of other human beings.

Cristan Williams and Cheryl Courtney-Evans are some of the bloggers who have spoken out against this hate speech being broadcast on the air.  Cheryl had this to say about it in her Abitchforjustice post:

Surely this type of behavior and goading the public is just as inflammatory as Don Imus' "nappy-headed hoes", and deserves repercussion, apologies and/or firing(s)! Are not WE as human as the Rutgers University's female basketball team? Are not our persons as at risk when made to be viewed a certain way to the general public (that may hold individuals of low intelligence who might take this type of talk to heart and act on it)? I believe this type of speech borders on the criminal, in that it can incite violence on transgender individuals...

To me it's even more insulting that this happened on a network that was founded by a transwoman and I cosign what my trans sister Cheryl said.  It's also galling to note that this broadcast happened days after a Los Angeles transwoman was brutally beaten and left for dead as the transphobia runs amok in Bossip's comment threads.

But back to focusing on Sirius XM and this Oh Hell No moment.   Lex and Terry need to be suspended or fired for advocating violence against transwomen that as the lengthening TDOR name lists tell us, far too many people are willing to carry out.

TransGriot Update:  A Change.org petition has already gotten started with the goal of getting 500 signatures to demand that Clear Channel apologize for Lex and Terry's transphobic antics.

SiriusXM has already apologized for it.  They issued the following statement regarding this issue and Clear Channels responsibility for programming the Lex and Terry show.

We apologize for this programming and don’t in any way condone it. The Extreme Talk channel and the Lex and Terry show are programming providing to us by Clear Channel. The channel and all the shows on it are under the control of Clear Channel. We are required to carry the channel based on pre-existing agreement with Clear Channel. We have made Clear Channel aware of this issue and the complaints from listeners.

Patrick Reilly
Senior Vice President, Communications

TransGriot Update: The Lex and Terry show has been dropped by Clear Channel from the SiriusXM Extreme Talk channel..  Lex and Terry according to GLAAD are apologizing for the jacked up comment.

NC 'Pastor' Calls For Final Solution To The LGBT Problem

If you thought I was kidding when I said this is the most pivotal election in American history and you people who call yourselves liberal-progressives need to be running to the polls to vote a straight Democratic ticket, peep the following video.

The Conservafundies in North Carolina are basking in the glow of victory after the unjust Amendment One's passage, and they are letting the homophobic and transphobic faith-based hate flow

Pastor Charles Worley of Maiden, NC was channeling his inner Nazi last Sunday and has some ideas about what to do with all those pesky GLBT people demanding human rights coverage in 'their' America.

I guess for his next sermon he'll have David Bahati flown in from Uganda to pimp their idea for a 'Kill The Gays' bill.

Okay, you just called for genocide.  Maybe that's okay by conservagod, but not the Lord and Savior and the God I worship.as a Christian.

Take it away Martin Bashir and Anthea Butler.

Sue 'Em

In the wake of the Tucson massacre, it's time to hit upon a new strategy in terms of curbing right wing hate speech and violence aimed at transgender people

Sue 'em.

When the battle was happening over the Byrd-Shepard Hate Crimes Bill in 2009, Bigot Harry Jackson and his merry group of drum majors for injustice in the Hi Impact Leadership Coalition, their masters in the Traditional Values Coalition and other right-wing fundie groups came up with the lie that the bill would 'muzzle our pulpits'.

But what they were really worried about was the potential of an adverse (for them) legal result and the impact it would have on their money grubbing greed is good for them 'ministries'

And they have good reason to fear a successful lawsuit based on what happened in these two legal cases.
.
In the wake of a 1981 Mobile,.AL trial n which an African-American defendant was charged with the murder of a white policeman and ended with a hung jury, several Klan members decided they would kill a Black man in retaliation.

On Saturday March 21, 1981 they discovered nineteen year old Michael Donald walking home alone, forced him into a car and subsequently lynched him.

That act led to a series of cases that not only led to the conviction of the perpetrators in 1983, but a 1987 civil suit filed by his mother Beulah Donald and the Southern Poverty Law Center's Morris Dees that resulted in a $7 million judgment that destroyed the Tuscaloosa, AL based United Klans of America

This was the Klan group responsible for many of the well known atrocities of the 60's Civil Rights era.  Their terroristic resume included
beating down the Freedom Riders in the Birmingham bus terminal in 1961, bombing Birmingham's 16th Street Baptist Church in 1963 and  murdering civil rights worker Viola Liuzzo in 1965.

The sue 'em strategy also shut down the White Aryan Resistance group as well.
It was bankrupted as the result of a civil lawsuit centered on its involvement in the 1988 violent murder of Ethiopian college student Mulugeta Seraw by racist skinheads in Portland, OR.

Morris Dees and the SPLC filed a civil suit against Metzger, arguing that WAR influenced Seraw's killers by encouraging their group East Side White Pride to commit violence.

WAR national vice president Dave Mazzella testified during the trial how the Metzgers instructed WAR members to commit violence against minorities, which resulted in Tom and John Metzger being found civilly liable under the doctrine of vicarious liability.    In other words, a person can be held liable for a tort committed by a subordinate or other person taking instructions.

The jury also returned the largest civil verdict in Oregon history at the time—$12.5 million—against Metzger and WAR. The Metzgers' house was seized, and most of WAR's profits go to paying off the judgment.

So with these two cases as major examples, what I’m proposing is that the next time a transgender hate crime occurs, we employ this strategy to sue the senior pastor of the nearest megachurch to the scene of the crime that has a history of spewing transphobia/homophobia..

I would also include suing any right wing media outlet or talk show host that spews hatred on the airwaves on a regular basis as well.

If the suit is successful, depending on the damage award, it will either bankrupt that church or media outlet, force it to disband or pay a sizable amount of its earnings to satisfying the judgment against it.   It will also send the message that open TBLG hatred or hate speech period will cost you and have a chilling effect on other megachurches and right wing organizations involved in similar hate speech.

Individuals and churches have every right under the Constitution to say and preach whatever message they want, even if it is distasteful to us.   But when those messages cross the line and incite someone to murder another human being, they not only need to be called on it, but if the hate sermon or speech results in injury or death to another person, be severely punished for it as well.

And if they have to pay a severe financial penalty to the victim’s family for their hate speech, then so much the better.

Words Can Hurt And Kill Me

One of the things that far too many people in the United States presume, especially in conservative circles, is that hate speech is harmless.

Try peddling that crap to someone whose people have been on the wrong end of it.

Minority groups know all too well that hate thoughts lead to hate speech which leads to hate violence.   If we don't get a grip on that hate violence it can escalate to genocidal levels.

We've been having in the trans community lately a debate about 'tranny' and whether it is as people on one side of the argument claim is a harmless word that needs to be reclaimed or as people on the other side of the debate contend is a hateful slur with no redeeming value..

I've also heard arguments from the 'you're giving the word too much power by obsessing over it' arguments from some quarters of the community as well.

People of color and the Jewish community know all too well that the slippery slope to genocide that starts with hate speech greasing the skids.    If is continues and isn't checked at that point, hate violence and eventually genocide aimed at the targeted group by the tyrannical majority isn't too far behind.

For decades transpeople have had a coalition of groups and institutions comprised of radical feminists, faith based conservafools, fundamentalist churches, right wing politicians and right wing talk show hosts pimping fear and loathing of transpeople for their fun, profits and political agendas.

Their unwashed sheeple take those words to heart and used their hands, fists, sticks, stones. clubs, guns, knives and other implements to hurt and kill transpeople after being influenced to do so by hateful words either penned or spoken by them against transpeople..

Words hurt.   Words like 'tranny' dehumanize, and they lead to people hurting and killing transwomen at the rate of two per day around the world.

And it needs to stop.
  .
