Daddy Cruz Pimps The Transphobia

I have no love for the junior senator from Alberta, but I have even less love for his conservaevangelist father Rafael Cruz.

Rafael has been colluding with Dave Welch and some of our Houston sellout kneegrow ministers to overturn the trans inclusive non-discrimination ordinance that the Dallas area suburban city of Plano, TX passed and our passed in May 2014 Houston Equal Rights Ordinance that is now in court.

Daddy Cruz got caught on tape saying some jacked up crap about transpeople to cookie chomping kneegrow E.W Jackson, including the mind blowing comment that trans people simply using the bathrooms will bring on the Apocalypse.

Now I know where Ted Junior got his conservaidiocy from.

Since we transpeople are so powerful, I suggest we test out Daddy Cruz's theory by rolling down to Steve 'Swastika Cakes' Riggle's Haterdome  and use the bathrooms matching our gender presentation.

As a TransGriot public service, I've got the video posted so you can laugh your behinds off at the words coming out of his mouth.

But it's this type of anti-trans hate speech that creates the climate for trans people to be killed, and I'm tired of it going unchecked and unridiculed

It's also a reminder that this is the mentality that we are fighting for our human rights against and this type of unhinged foaming at the mouth devoid of logic transphobic hate cannot be reasoned with.

You have to destroy it.

Anti-Trans Bathroom Bully Bill Filed In Kentucky

Bill targets transgender bathroomsTransGriot Note:  In the interest of journalistic integrity, I served on the boards of the Fairness Campaign and its C-FAIR political PAC from 2008-2010

When I lived in Kentucky, while it was 1000 miles away from my birth state, when it came to the politics, I noticed some similarities in terms of it having some politicians in its legislature that would make Louie Gohmert look like a Mensa candidate.

What that meant is that every session, we'd have some WTF bills filed that fortunately, because of the split control of the legislature (GOP Senate, Democratic House) didn't become law because they died in committee.

I was reminded of that aspect of Kentucky politics when I heard about Kentucky State Senator CB Embry(R) filing SB 76, the 'Bathroom Bully' Bill.

It would if passed not only force trans teens to use locker rooms and bathrooms that don't correspond to the person they are now, but would allow students who encounter a person of the opposite biological sex in a restroom, locker room or shower room to recover $2,500 damages for psychological, emotional and physical harm suffered and reasonable attorney fees and costs from the school if school personnel gave permission for the student encountered to use the facility or failed to take reasonable steps to prohibit the person encountered from using the facility.

It was in response to what happened at Louisville's Atherton HS that the hatemongering Kentucky 'Family Foundation tried to stick its transphobic nose in and failed.   They are now trying to get legislatively what they failed to do at the local level in Da Ville

Chris Hartman, director of the Kentucky Fairness Campaign, said the SB 76 bill that Embry has filed is 'a solution in search of a problem' at a time when the General Assembly has many more pressing issues to address.

“It’s sort of a fruitless effort to give him an opportunity to soapbox on something,” Hartman said.  The focus, instead should be on protecting marginalized students through an anti-bullying bill with a strong suicide prevention element, he said.

“We don’t see any reason to further mandate micromanage decisions being quite capably handled by each school,” he said.

Amen Chris.  I'm tired of white male conservatives reflexively spreading bathroom panic fears aimed at marginalized groups for their own political gain and to demonize or 'other' them.

SB 76 needs to die quick, fast and in a hurry because the commonwealth of Kentucky has far more pressing items on its plate than oppressing  trans kids

Come Out Of The KKKloset About Your Racism, GOP

Here we go again with another GOP legislator trying to convince us that he's not a racist, but with a problematic association, record as a Louisiana state legislator and 'F' grades since 2008 on his  NAACP Congressional Report Cards creating a things that make you go hmm moment.

Rep. Steve Scalise (R-LA) is the latest conservafool to fail to navigate their ongoing problem of trying to appeal to their bigot base while not alienating the white swing voters that would be repulsed by their attempted on the down low associations with white supremacists

As a Louisiana state legislator, he was one of six legislators who voted against a Martin Luther King holiday in 2004, and consistently opposed efforts by the Black mayors of New Orleans to draw more government funding to the city.

He also damned sure know who the hell David Duke is since he ran for Louisiana's governorship in 1991, much of his state house district voted for him and Duke has been defending him..

Scalise's been on the fast track in the GOP House leadership hierarchy, becoming the majority whip after Eric Cantor lost his seat in June and he moved up to the Number 3 spot

The fact that he is now the number three person in the GOP leadership hierarchy in the upcoming 114th Congress , even though this meeting with Duke's white supremacist group happened in 2002 only makes this look more odious.

Yeah, you try to claim the Republican Party is not racist, but those Dixiecrats in your midst combined with your policy stances that end up pissing off non-white voters keep reinforcing the percetion and the reality you are.

It amuses me to see the contortions that GOP conservafools twist themselves into when they get caught being the racist bigots that all non-whites and conscious white people know they are.

And then the conservafools predictably try to play that failed Robert Byrd false equivalency card or the I have Black friends' card  to try to justify their BS they executed while pushing the Southern Strategy and Southern Strategy 2.0.

Here's a suggestion conservatives. If you don't want to be called a racist bigot, stop acting like one.

You also need to stop giving speeches to white supremacist groups, and pushing policies that reinforce the impression that you are all about perpetuating whiteness and white supremacy.

If you can't or won't do that, then you need to come out of the KKKloset about your GOP flavored racism

Hasselbeck Forgot About Literacy Tests

Seriously, "Fox & Friends"? Elisabeth Hasselbeck endorses disturbing anti-voting schemeI'm not shocked when one of the FOX Noise Fembots opens their mouths and something stupid, racist, bigoted (or all of the above) comes out of it.

Today's latest example of them reinforcing the dumb blonde stereotype is Elisabeth Hasselbeck.

She parted her lips to state during a Monday Fox and Friends conversation on civics education that all voters should have to pass a 'citizenship test' before they were allowed to vote.

Yeah Liz, guess you ignored that chapter in your history books about literacy tests.   They were supposed to be administered to all voters, but were exclusively used to disenfranchise African-American voters back during the bad old Jim Crow days from thw 1880s to the 1960s before they were banned by the passage of the 1965 Voting Rights Act.

She sounds even more hypocritical because she in her past utterings has been railing against Common Core and standardized testing.

I sincerely doubt that Liz, her Fembots and most conservafools could even pass a standardized citizenship test, seeing that their understanding of American history is so distorted, and they only care about the Second and Tenth Amendments of the Constitution.

And you conservafools wanna know why I and other no-white Americans consider conservatism and conservatives racist.   You never fail on a daily basis to do or say something that verities and validates our perception that conservatism is the political arm of white supremacy.

What's Missing In This Greg Abbott Press Conference On Women's Health?

Texas Republican gubernatorial candidate Greg Abbott decided to have a press conference at St. Joseph's Women's Medical Center here in H-town yesterday to talk about women's health issues.

Can you spot what's missing in this photo?

If you said women, you'd be correct.

Yep, as a foot soldier in the GOP War on Women, he has been as our state's attorney general defending the draconian HB2 law that if enforced, would result in the shutdown of all but 5 abortion clinics in the entire state.

Last Friday federal Judge Lee Yeakel (GW Bush appointee) struck down the provision in HB 2 that requires every abortion clinic meet the state's standards for the building, equipment and staffing for hospital-style surgery centers.  Yeakel also reinstated the block of another odious provision of HB 2 that requires providers to have admitting privileges in a hospital no more than 30 miles from the facility for two clinics located in El Paso and McAllen.
The rule "is unconstitutional because it imposes an undue burden on the right of women throughout Texas to seek a pre-viability abortion," Judge Yeakel wrote.

Over all, he concluded, with the new closings that would have been forced by the surgery-center rule, many more women would be hours from a clinic. "Even if the remaining clinics could meet the demand," he wrote, the impact, between long travel times and other practical impediments many women face, would be as drastic as "a complete ban on abortion."
Judge Yeakel wrote, "The great weight of the evidence demonstrates that, before the act's passage, abortion in Texas was extremely safe, with particularly low rates of serious complications and virtually no deaths."

But back to the jacked up photo-op.   Greg was probably trying to deflect from the fact he has been diligently working to keep HB 2 in place, withdrew from a scheduled September 30 debate with Wendy Davis and after taking heat for it, agreed to two debates in Dallas and McAllen.

Greg just keeps causing more problems for himself.  If you wonder why I call Abbott's campaign 'Clayton Williams 2.0', now you know.

Racist Georgia State Senator Wants To Keep Blacks From Voting

State Sen. Fran Millar (R-GA)I've said more than a few times that the most dangerous bigot is one that has the power to write legislation.  I have also called the Republican Party the political arm of white supremacy.

The fool  that is going to openly co-sign both statements is Republican (surprise, surprise) Georgia state Senator Fran Millar from Dunwoody..

When DeKalb County, of which his state senate district covers a portion of, announced that they were going to allow Sunday voting, and set up an early voting location in a popular shopping mall, you would think that any politician would welcome making it easy for people to cast their ballots in this upcoming election.

But that's you and I thinking logically, which is not where the Republican Party lives right now.   Republicans are hellbent on keeping voter turnout low because they have basically pissed off very demographic group except rich white males, clueless white males, their Stepford wives and sellout people of color.

And the fact Michelle Nunn, the daughter of former senator Sam Nunn is on the ballot as the Democratic US senate nominee along with Dem gubernatorial candidate Jason Carter, the grandson of former governor and POTUS Jimmy Carter, already has the Georgia GOP on edge.

When Millar heard that the mall in question was The Gallery at South DeKalb Mall,  which is popular with the ATL's African-American population, it was enough to trigger a bigot eruption for the Senior Deputy Whip of the Georgia Republicans.

"Now we are to have Sunday voting at South DeKalb Mall just prior to the election. Per Jim Galloway of the AJC, this location is dominated by African American shoppers and it is near several large African American mega churches such as New Birth Missionary Baptist. Galloway also points out the Democratic Party thinks this is a wonderful idea – what a surprise. I’m sure Michelle Nunn and Jason Carter are delighted with this blatantly partisan move in DeKalb.
Is it possible church buses will be used to transport people directly to the mall since the poll will open when the mall opens? If this happens, so much for the accepted principle of separation of church and state."
He even went there and suggested he is “investigating if there is any way to stop this action”.   Millar also stated that  he and State Representative Mike Jacobs (R) “will try to eliminate this election law loophole in January,” as it might boost Democratic voter turnout.

Your white sheets are showing, Fran.

FYI, if your party actually tried to pursue policies more popular with my people instead of demonizing us, maybe you might have a shot, slim as it is these days of actually earning our votes.  But the more you act like James Crow III oppressors, the more you piss us off and ensure that we will keep voting for Democrats for another generation.

And Black Georgians, what's up?  This Republican State senator openly said that he was going to work to restrict your voting rights.   If that's not a call for you to bumrush the polls and vote him and everything else out of the Georgia Legislature with an 'R' behind its name, then the next post I write will be calling your asses out for allowing this BS to go unchallenged.

If you don't bumrush the polls this November, then you are spitting on the fact that Rep. John Lewis (D-GA) took a po-po beatdown in Selma for you to have the right to vote in the first place.

Show Georgia, the country and the world just how seriously you take any threat to shut down your right to vote. Send this conservafool and his party a message that we don't play when it comes to our right to vote.

SBC Officially Hates The Trans Community

Count the Southern Baptists along with the Roman Catholic Church as a religious denomination that officially has an anti-transgender policy.

Yesterday the faith based Southern Baptist bigots at their conference in Baltimore continued their nearly decade long history of ramping up hatred of transpeople by overwhelmingly passed the Denny Burk proposed resolution that condemns trans people.

Why am I not surprised the 5000 messengers (convention delegates) went there?  The Southern Baptists already have a long negative history of being on the wrong side of all the human rights movements of the 19th and 20th century.   By hating on transpeople, they keep their reprehensible streak of misguided white privileged hatred for people not like them going into the 21st century.

And naw, you SBC peeps electing Ronnie Floyd as your president with the same homophobic baggage isn't going to distract us.  Neither will it change the fact this was faith-based transphobia at a scale not seen since the Catholic Church unleashed their anti-trans doctrine in 2003.

That Catholic anti-trans doctrine is a contributing factor to the off the charts anti-trans violence my Latina trans sisters experience in Latin America and my eastern European trans sisters deal with.

SBC, you were on the wrong side of history in terms of supporting slavery, Jim Crow segregation, opposing women's suffrage, the African-American Civil Rights Movement, interracial marriage, and marriage equality.

Now you can add hatred of trans people to that list.   And the mind blowing thing about this passed resolution is that you arrogantly put yourselves on the opposite side of the words of Jesus himself in pushing this hate on trans people policy.
For there are some eunuchs, which were so born from their mother's womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men: and there be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven's sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it.
Matthew 19:12

As a matter of fact, here's some more words from the Good Book that point out just how off the rails y'all are before I even begin to drop the avalanche of scientific research done on and about transpeople you faith based fools obviously are ignoring.

Your hatred of trans people is not going reverse the two decade old trend of declining membership at SBC affiliated churches.  Neither will it make your denomination attractive to young people and other fair minded folks who count transpeople among their friends and relatives.
But thanks SBC for doing the trans community and our allies a favor and letting us know exactly where we stand with you.  You Satan's helpers are officially an enemy to our community just like the trans exterminationalist radical feminists (TERF's) and will be treated as such from this day forward.

Transphobic bigotry wrapped in scripture is still transphobic bigotry, and that salient fact isn't going to change no matter what y'all told yourselves after that vote.

And the only way you'll see trans people darkening the doors of your church sanctuaries is protesting outside of them.

HERO Haters Threaten Recall Elections

Photo: Opponents of Mayor Annise Parker’s proposed Houston equal rights ordinance have vowed to take the issue to voters in a referendum, but now they’re seriously discussing a recall election to remove her and some council members from office.

Read more --> http://bit.ly/1n7dkyrThe fun continues during the coming Memorial Day weekend over the HERO, and the faith-based haters have now resorted to threats and intimidation in order to try to get their way and defeat the HERO on May 28.

According to a KHOU-TV report, in addition to threatening to collect signatures to force a repeal referendum on the HERO, they are now going as far as threatening to target the mayor and any other council member who votes YES on this needed human rights ordinance.

The Houston city charter lays out the criteria for which an elected official can be recalled – incompetence, misconduct, malfeasance or unfitness for office, so it would probably be a stretch for the haters to be able to do so in the first place.

But assuming they went to a GOP state judge and got a ruling allowing them to do so, you'd have the task of  getting 1/4 of the number of voters in the last city election that cast ballots in a particular race to sign off on petitions, and you have only 30 days to collect them.   There were 170,000 votes cast in the last mayoral race, so that translates to about 42,500 signatures the anti-HERO peeps would have to gather to recall Mayor Parker, assuming this threat is even credible.

Now for district councilmembers, in which there would be a lower signature threshold, that might be a different story.

Let's assume you had a district council race in which 10,000 total ballots were cast.  It would take only 2,500 signatures to force a recall.

But seriously, do these conservafools really want to go there?  Did they not forget our side votes and can collect signatures to target council conservatives Michael Kubosh, Brenda Stardig and Oliver Pennington for removal from council?

Stardig and Pennington are in district seats, so they would be subject to the low threshold.   Kubosh was elected citywide and would have a higher one, but there's enough of
us in LGBT Houston pissed off at Kubosh to get the ball rolling on a recall effort targeting him, especially after that 'God put me on city council to oppose the HERO' remark he made at Sunday's Riggle hate rally.

Houston and Harris County provide 16% of the statewide votes in an election cycle.  Are the conservafools that pissed off about the HERO passing they would go there and give our liberal progressive voters another valid reason to bumrush the polls this November, especially in an election cycle in which Wendy Davis and Leticia Van de Putte sit at the top of our statewide Democratic ticket?

And with that juiced up Harris County turnout showing up and showing out, we'd urge those same progressive voters to handle their electoral business and cast ballots for every Democrat in down ballot race like the judicial ones.

So please, be that politically stupid and go there.   Make my political day.

Their nekulturny behavior and Becky Riggle's expressed belief in one of the council hearings they have a right to discriminate against gays and Jews is why the HERO needs to pass May 28.

Anti-Trans Human Rights Conservalies Debunked

Photo: Proof that the stories anti-gay groups spread about transgender women endangering folks in bathrooms is a FLAT OUT LIE (via Media Matters). This should be required information:
I've known for years the anti-trans human rights talking points of the conservafools and their TERF allies are a lie, but Media Matters has put them in this nice big easy to read graphic debunking the lies..

It'll be quite handy to show to my city councilmembers when we finally make the big push to get our non-discrimination ordinance in Houston.

Told Y'all Conservafools Don't Care About Non-White Americans

Every time I start riffing on this blog about the many ways that conservatism only benefits wealthy white people and I call it and the Republican Party the political arm of white supremacy, I get pushback from self described liberal and moderate conservatives who try to claim that the Republican Party isn't as bad as I point out in my blog posts.

Hey, I've been diplomatic in my blog posts.  Your party is actually far worse.

Ever since the announcement in the wake of the ballyhooed post-mortem after the 2012 election that the GOP and conservative movement was going to do serious outreach to non-white communities, I've been skeptical about how successful this round of it was going to be given that I've been hearing this line from them since the 80's..   And so far, this latest  round of outreach has been the laughing my butt off disaster I expected it to be.

They have two impossible and diametrically opposed tasks they are trying to accomplish .  How are you going to persuade non-whites to join their party without saying something homophobic, sexist and racist coming out of their mouths?

More importantly, how are you going to convince non-white people to join your party while simultaneously refusing to modify or change your policy stances that are offensive to non-whites like your voter suppression efforts, your attacks on the poor and attacks on women?

And frankly, your policy stances not only suck, but don't help anyone except rich white men.   Don't even get me started about the person you have delivering the message in Sen. Rand Paul.   It is those policy stances coming from overwhelmingly white spokespeople that turn off people of color, combined with the insensitive and racist rhetoric you use to sell those policies.

It also doesn't help your cause that the non-white members of the movement and your party that you hold up as leaders like Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), SCOTUS Justice Clarence Thomas, Sen Tim Scott (R-SC), Allen West, and Mia Love are deeply unpopular and considered sellouts in our ranks.

Meanwhile the folks you should be putting out there to represent you like Colin Powell and Erika Harold you disrespect as RINO's or worse

The empty CPAC room for the Thursday minority outreach panel shows just how much a priority it is for the conservative movement to address that problem or how much credence conservative activists put toward solving tit.

But the United States is a country that is growing more ethnically diverse by the day. and you can no longer get 75% of the white vote and win national elections.  The voter suppression  tactics aren't going to work forever because demographics and time are not on your side and they piss the people victimized by them off.

If you are serious about attracting people of color to your party, you have two choices.  You're going to have to come up with more moderate policy stances that will alienate your anti-government, anti-tax, anti-human rights, anti-education base or you can continue on your present path and continue to draw miniscule numbers of non-white people to your events and cede their votes to the Democrats.

Looks like you're choosing Option B, which is fine with me as a Democrat.   You've made it quite clear since the 60's you don't care about me and the feeling's mutual.   Because of your lack of political vision, and refusal to politically evolve, you will continue to see the White House and eventually the nation turn blue, and send you back to the political wilderness that you so richly deserve.

Don Lemon Remembers He's Black Again.

CNN commentator Don Lemon can be exasperating to me at times.

One minute he sounds like a cookie chomping sellout when he teams up with negro conservafool Niger Innis to attack North Carolina NAACP President the Rev. Dr.. William Barber for correctly calling Sen. Tim Scott (Teabagger-SC) a 'ventriloquist' dummy for the Tea Party or hypocritically siding with the New York City po-po's and former mayor Michael Bloomberg  over the jacked up stop and frisk policy

And don't even get me started discussing his interviewing trans fails.

But there.are times he gets it right and I have to give him his props for it like when he schooled CNN conservafool Ben Ferguson on his privilege in the wake of the Zimmerman verdict

Here's another one of those moments.   Lemon and Keli Goff call out conservafool Emily Miller for parting her lips to say that 'white guilt' got President Obama elected.   Naw Emily,  it was 69,486,516 votes from a multicultural and multigenerational coalition and a 365-173 electoral buttkicking of McCain that got him elected.   And just for grins, while facing Massive Resistance 2.0 from the GOP,   President Obama garnered 65 million votes while winning another decisive 332-206 electoral vote win over Mittbot.

Deal with that reality Emily Miller.   Oh yeah, forgot you conservatives can't hanlde reality well

Enjoy this Don Lemon Blackness sighting.   I have a feeling it won't be long before I'm blasting his azz again.

MHP Breaks It Down To John Cornyn Why The VRA Is Needed

Many of you probably noted I gave Sen. John Cornyn  (R-TX) an honorable mention for last week's Shut Up Fool Award.   He is against the bipartisan reauthorization legislation for the Voting Right Act because his vanillacentric privileged behind actually parted his lips to say that Texas was being 'discriminated against'.

Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, speaks during an event, July 31, 2013 on Capitol Hill in Washington.
In today's Melissa Harris-Perry show, in her letter's segment she whacked him with Texas' long reprehensible history of suppressing the voting rights of non-white Texans

And can't wait to vote his behind out of office.

Naw Bryan, You're The One That Needs Prayer

bryan-fischerBryan Fischer went off the deep end again and launched into another Two Minute Hate against trans people on his radio propaganda show. for the SPLC certified hate group the American Fascist Family Association..

Fischer's latest transphobic rant was inspired by FOX Noise's "Dr." Keith Ablow hatin' on California's School Success and Opportunity Act.

He took to the airwaves to declare that transgenderism and trans people in his words are a 'lie of Satan' and can be 'cured' through consistent prayer.

Yeah right.  Look how well praying to Conservagod has worked to cure SGL people all these years.  Does Exodus and their failed faith-based gay to straight conversion programs ring a bell?  So what makes you think that those will work on transpeople any better than they did on gays and lesbians?

Frankly Bryan, I see you and your conservative buddies as....help me Church Lady

Now where was I?   The Scriptures are also very clear that 'Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor'.  But as usual you white male conservafools will cherry pick scriptures.  You will also do and say anything for ratings to keep those donations from your useful conservafools pouring in and to pump up the AFA's flaccid political influence.

Let's talk about that so-called science you used to buttress your anti-trans rant. It obviously didn't come from the American Psychological Association, the World Professional Association For Transgender Health, The American Medical Association, and reputable doctors who have been doing research on gender issues for decades such as UCLA's Dr. Eric Vilain

Your 'scientific research' smells more like you pulled it out of yours or Keith Ablow's anuses to buttress your facts free transphobic rant.  You are already a known serial transphobic bully who has less credibility discussing trans issues as the TERF's do.

The only broken clock moment you had in that entire broadcast was saying that God doesn't make mistakes.

You're absolutely right because God made transpeople, and we are part of the diverse mosaic of human life on Planet Earth.

The only person who needs prayer here is you and your misguided friends at the American Family Association, and you need to have several seats and a nice tall glass of STHU.

And one other thing.  You need Jesus, too.

Christie Vetoes NJ Trans Birth Certificate Bill

Governor Chris Christie screenshot
For you trans, bi and SGL folks in our community who voted for Sergeant Schultz New Jersey Governor Chris Christie (R) in the last election cycle thinking he was a 'moderate', well, here's something to burst your bubble concerning that misguided line of thinking in addition to the ongoing BridgeGate scandal.

The New Jersey Senate passed on a 21-11 vote back in December A-4097/S-2786, a bill that revises the procedure to issue amended birth certificates for persons born in New Jersey who have undergone a gender transition.  The bill would allow them do so without surgical intervention.

The bill had previously passed the New Jersey General Assembly on a 43-37 vote back in June.

Christie today gave A-4097 an ABSOLUTE veto, which means it needs a 2/3 majority in both houses to override the veto.  Translation: that's 27 Senate votes and 54 General Assembly votes.

That means the Democrats, who have the majority in both houses, would not only have to get everyone in their caucus to vote to override, need to have 3 Republicans cross the aisle in the NJ Senate to do so and on the General Assembly side get 7 Republicans to cross party lines to do so.

Seeing that the bill passed the 40 member New Jersey Senate with 21 votes and the 80 member General Assembly with 43 votes, they would need to flip 6 NO votes in the senate and 13 NO votes in the general assembly to reach that override threshold.

Not likely that's going to happen on the GOP side, especially with a governor with a reputation for punishing his enemies, even if he is politically wounded right now.

So if you needed another reason to not like Chris Christie, here it is.

Hey Megyn, My Santa Is Black...

And so are the Christmas themed movies I watch, the Christmas themed romance novels I read, and the Christmas music I have listened to since I was a child.

And yes, that was vitally important then and even more so now in a world that doesn't value non-white children, to see ourselves and our culture reflected during this Festival of Off The Chain Consumerism.

In a world of overwhelming whiteness, it's vital that non-white folks have cultural touchstones that you and you Fox Noise comrades can arrogantly take for granted Ms Kelly because the world and the dominant culture revolve around people who look like you.

So you can take that vanillacentric privileged  and racist Fox Noise 'War on Christmas' BS and shove it up you know where.

Now where are my Alexander O'Neal and Luther Vandross Christmas CD's?

The Democrat's Guide To Politically Handling Your GOP Uncle

I've been fortunate to grow up in a yellow dog Democratic family so I never had this problem.  For me when the talk comes to politics at the holiday dinner table, even with my chosen family up in Da Ville, we spent our time bashing the Republican Party before we moved on to other subjects.

But for those of you who dread the holiday season because you have to go back to towns chock full of relatives and people who actually believe everything Fox Noise and Rush Limbaugh tell them and relish the opportunity to mess with you as one of the few 'libruls' in the family tree, the holidays can be a frustrating experience.

You grit your teeth as your uncle rants about the latest anti-Obama conspiracy theory, or you resist the urge to rip your cousin's hair out when she starts defending the GOP War on Women, or chew out your smarmy collegiate Young Conservative nephew talking about the Affirmative Action Bake Sale they're having on his campus soon. .

Fear not fellow liberal-progressives, the Democratic Party feels your holday pain and has come to the rescue with your handy talking points called The Democrat's Guile To Talking Politics With Your Republican Uncle

You can easily reference them on your way to Conservafool Hell to rebut, crush and utterly demolish their latest conservafool talking points in addition to all the facts based info you have already committed to memory over the years. .

And yeah, you know they have already been fed their talking points by their conservanews bubble and are just gleefully waiting for you to hit town to unleash them on you, so you need to be prepared.

This holiday season you get to enjoy your Thanksgiving meal and win the political info war at the dinner table at the same time.

Saturday Sellout-Mia Love

Republican Rising Star Mia Love:<br />
More of the Same? Our latest edition of the TransGriot Saturday Sellout series of posts takes us to Utah and shines the spot on one Ludmya Bourdeau Love, the Mormon teabagging mayor of Sandy Springs, UT who came 786 uncomfortable votes short of unseating longtime Utah Democratic moderate Jim Matheson in 2012 and becoming the first African-descended female ever to be elected to Congress as a Republican

She's already declared and will be making another attempt to unseat Rep Matheson in 2014, so for those of you living in Utah's 4th Congressional District, get ready to do you part to ensure Jim Matheson is still representing you on November 4, 2014. .

Love is the other female face along with Angela McGlowan the Tea Klux Klan gleefully likes to put out there to 'prove' to us reality based African-Americans that their movement is diverse and not racist.

Yeah, right. We know better.   As Zora Neale Hurston admonished us a long time ago, all our skinfolk ain't our kinfolk.

It is by their policies they support ye shall know them, and Love promotes the same jacked up policies that her fellow Republifools promote.

Her Haitian born parents are immigrants to this nation but she is anti-immigration and supports deportation.

She has proposed eliminating the federally subsidized school lunch program and the funding that supports special education in public schools. She wants to halve the Earned Income Tax Credit that keeps millions of working people out of poverty, and she would radically slash housing subsidies that keep millions of poor people off the streets.

And even more disturbing, Love stated in 2012 that if she was elected, she would try to dismantle the Congressional Black Caucus.   Not no but hell no to that idea of dismantling the 'Conscience of the Congress'.

Pretty Black face, same conservative cookie chomping bull feces that deserves a doll worthy of her policies.

The NC GOP's Massive Fail In Black Voter Outreach

If you want to know why I have such overwhelming contempt along with 96% of African-American voters for the Republican Party and reject their message, Rachel Maddow breaks it down for you how the North Carolina GOP this week is a case study in why I can't stand them and call the GOP the political arm of white supremacy.

These are just the latest examples of the clueless GOP racism that ensures we African-Americans will be voting for Democrats and against Republicans for another generation.

Damn, Y'all Starting The 'War On The Girl Scouts' Again?

The conservative movement 'War On Women' for the last few years has also included because of their progressive outlook, attacking the Girl Scouts.

The fundies have foaming at the mouth hatred for Girl Scouts of the USA because it not only didn't get taken over by the wingers like they did the Boy Scouts, GSUSA has stated on its website the organization “does not have a relationship or partnership with Planned Parenthood,” and that it will remain a “secular organization” that will not take a position on human sexuality, birth control, abortion.

The faith-based haters not only have stopped organizing and supporting Girl Scout troops, in some cases they are denying them meeting spaces.  They have even gone as far as organizing their own conservative alternative organization called the AmeriKKKan American Heritage Girls.

They have also over the last few years attacked the Girl Scout cookie drives which are one of the funding streams for the organization.

Thanks to longtime reader Jazmine for bringing to my attention another 'War On The Girl Scouts' attack to shine a bright spotlight on.

This latest violation of the Ten Commandments comes from right wing pastor Kevin Swanson.   He urged his Generations Radio show listeners not to buy Girl Scout cookies because 'the organization promotes lesbianism

“I’d say you ought to say no to the Girl Scout cookies,” Swanson told listeners. “I don’t want to support lesbianism, I don’t want to support Planned Parenthood and I don’t want to support abortion, and if that be the case I’m not buying Girl Scout cookies.”

And if that fear and smear line wasn't enough to stir up the sheeple, Swanson called the Girl Scouts of the USA  ”a wicked organization,” that doesn’t promote “godly womanhood.”

He also attacked my mayor and threw the c-word in there:  Communist.

And oh yeah, the commandment Pharisee Swanson violated was 'thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor.'

Yeah, it's time to rebuke this fool in the name of Jesus by tripling your orders of Girl Scout cookies when the GSUSA cookie drives start in your area.

And yeah, he's earned a Shut Up Fool award nomination for this one.

Yeah, The Conservafools Are Definitely Fighting Us Now

"Our human rights win is inevitable no matter how much money, time and propaganda the haters deploy to stop it.  We have a human rights win that is there for the taking.  But that win will become a reality only if we transpeople here in the United States and around the world are tough minded enough to push back even harder against all our trans oppressors lies."
-TransGriot February 20, 2013  'First They Ignore You...'

Told you they were coming for us.   I fact, I've been warning y'all the conservafools would be coming for us on this blog since 2007.

And now, more signs that the wingnuts are about to pull the plug on their lost culture war against the gay and lesbian community over marriage equality and shift their money and energy to fighting the trans community with their patented 'fear and smear' tactics.

We already have seen it come to pass with the transphobic falsehoods that Fox Noise has been broadcasting against us.  Going on the attack against the San Antonio non-discrimination ordinance that sought to add gender identity and sexual orientation language that still overwhelmingly passed thanks in part to soon to be former San Antonio councilmember Elisa Chan's transphobic utterings.

Now they are going after our trans kids.  The most recent pathetic example was Bryan Fischer's disgusting bullying of Cassidy Campbell after her historic homecoming queen win.  The California conservafools are gearing up to gather signature to force a referendum to repeal AB 1266 backed by the California Republican Party.

And now we have former South Carolina GOP chair Todd Kincannon letting fly with the transphobic remarks and stating trans people should be interned in camps

Surprised the TERF's haven't declared Kincannon an 'honorary woman' for that one.

So transpeeps, if you thought I was selling you woof tickets about the two front War on Transwomen the right wing is about to ramp up on their front, the unmistakable evidence piling up leads no doubt to the conclusion that is exactly what's happening.

And for those of you in the trans community who continue to vote for Republican candidates or claim you are 'proud conservatives', you are complicit in and contributing to enabling your own oppression.

So get ready trans peeps, we have a fight on our hands, and it's a war we must win.
