Republican Governors Behaving Badly

Why am I not surprised when I hear about governors behaving badly, they predominately carry the GOP label?

Whether it's New Jersey governor Chris Christie crapping on teachers, Paul LePage in Maine telling the NAACP to kiss his butt,  Robert Bentley telling people in Alabama from the pulpit of Dexter Avenue Baptist Church that if you aren't a Christian you aren't his brother or sister, Nikki Haley of South Carolina and John Kasich of Ohio having all white administrations, Rick Perry and Pat McCrory in North Carolina presiding over the implementation of Jim Crow 2.0 in North Carolina, the Republican party and its governors have basically exceeded the expectations of the people who didn't want their behinds in power in the first place.

And don't even get me started talking about Governor Goodhair, AKA Rick Perry in my home state or Bobby Jindal in Louisiana.

The Republican governors so far have been racist, boorish, corporatist and as nekulturny as they can be, and it shouldn't be surprising since many of them were swept into office thanks to the Tea Klux Klan and the ugly 2010 midterm election.  McCrory was elected in North Carolina last year in the Republican anger and backlash over narrowly being won by President Obama in 2008.

So what to do about these GOP governors behaving badly?  Make sure you're at the polls in massive numbers in the next election cycle to get rid of them.

I Don't Like Bryan Fischer Bullying Cassidy, Either

If you thought I was kidding about the christohaters shifting tactics and aiming their vitriol at the trans community in the wake of them losing their war against the gay community and same gender marriage, more irrefutable evidence is piling up that we're being targeted.

First there is the increasing anti-trans rhetoric from Fox Noise followed by the resistance put up in August by Texas and national transphobes to San Antonio adding gender identity and sexual orientation to their non-discrimination ordinance earlier this month followed by the announcement of California transphobes that they are going after the groundbreaking AB 1266 by gathering signatures to force a referendum to overturn the law.

Now in the wake of Cassidy's historic win as homecoming queen in Huntington Beach, CA, the transphobic haters have come out and launched vicious attacks on her.   One of those transphobic haters has a radio frequency as his bully pulpit in Bryan Fischer.

The spokesidiot of the SPLC-certified hate group the American Fascist Family Association took time on his radio show to bully a 16 year teen.   How pathetic is that?

We trans people don't have a psychological problem, we exist and are part of the diverse mosaic of human life that God created.   It is you who needs psychological help for being a pathological liar and transphobe that violates every known standard of morality and decency.

Keep it up Bryan and transphobes.  The more you scream and yell, the more you make our case for the swift enactment of ENDA, and more state and local non-discrimination laws to protect trans Americans from hatemongers like you.and your friends.

Pulling Up Saggin' Pants Won't Fix What Ails Our Community

Like much of the Black blogosphere I'm majorly pissed off at Don Lemon for co-signing with a longtime race-baiting bigoted detractor of our community in Bill O'Reilly and giving him cover, not for what was said.

Hell, to be honest, I've trashed saggin' pants on this blog in a song rewrite back in 2009.

But at the same time it is logic defying ridiculous on its face to state that pullin' up saggin' pants as JSmooth eloquently pointed out will magically erase the systemic centuries old racism that negatively impacts the African-American community.

It is also disingenuous of white conservatives to lecture my community about Black-on Black crime when you don't do the same hand wringing over white on whit crime or have control of your own hoodlums as evidenced by the recent Huntington Beach Riot.

Neither do I see white conservatives stepping up to do something about the far too numerous instances of white males shooting up schools, movie theaters and other places with automatic weapons because of your fetishistic attachment to guns, or vigorously calling out the terrorists who look like you in your own midst.

Shoot, from where I sit, y'all need to take a look in the mirror before you even part your lips to insultingly spit the words 'criminal culture' at my people in a sentence ever again.

The things that will fix what ails Black America is long term investments in public and secondary education, making secondary education affordable like it was for my generation, having good manufacturing jobs at living wages, fixing the broken justice system, unhindered and fair participation in the political system and treating African-Americans with respect instead of like suspects.

That's going to take money and sustained government action to make a reality, and we know you conservafools are more like the Star Trek Ferengis than patriotic Americans concerned about the long term health and stability of this country.

Pat Robertson Has Another Broken Clock Trans Moment

Pat Robertson

You longtime TransGriot readers know I have gleefully pointed out that televangelist Pat Robertson, who has a long history of uttering racist and anti-gay remarks has actually said that 'transsexuality is not a sin'

Well, duh.  And nope, it's not April 1.

Pat made that comment during a October 5, 1999 broadcast of his 700 Club show and has had other broken clock TBLG moments as to when this show happened a he was asked a question last year about Christians bullying BTLG kids that he had a surprising answer to.

And now, here's another broken clock Pat Robertson trans moment that comes in response to a question during his 'Bring It On-Line segment from David

"I work with two people who have decided that they are females. I know what the Bible says about homosexuality, but is it wrong to refer to them as females since they have had their gender status changed in the eyes of the law?"

Surprise surprise, Pat says NO.   While he take a swipe as SRS and transition as 'radical' and dangerous', he basically echoed the 1999 comment in saying transsexuality wasn't a sin.

Better get busy people copying this before they delete the video along with the transcript of his remarks from the 700 Club website.

Don Lemon Schools A Conservafool On His Vanillacentric Privilege

I've been hard on Don Lemon for his trans fails, but have to give him his props for schooling conservafool Ben Ferguson on his privilege and his knee jerk reaction to President Obama's remarks last Friday on the Zimmerman verdict.

Is The Texas Special Session Over Yet?

The Teapublican controlled Texas Legislature went into a special session moments after the sine die date on the regular 2013 session that is mercifully drawing to a close.

In addition to taking on the redistricting issue which will have a lawsuit filed against it when this session is over faster than you can say 'Rick Perry', Governor Goodhair (R) also threw a right-wing bone to the teabaggers and added the issue of abortion to the issues being worked on during the legislative special session,.

That's when the fun started. State Rep Jodie Laubenberg (Teabagger-Parker) obliged by being the House sponsor of SB 5, a bill that not only bans abortion after 20 weeks, it sets standards for existing clinics in Texas that will force 37 of the 42 clinics that currently operate in the state to close.

Rep Senfronia Thompson (D-Houston) then introduced an amendment to the draconian bill that would carve out an exception for it in the cases of rape and incest, and it was in the context of explaining why it wasn't needed that Laubenburg made the gaffe that is going to follow her to her grave and hopefully will lead to her being voted out of the legislature next November.

Rep Thompson's amendment was defeated but not before the dean of the Texas House engaged in some of her classic oratory excoriating the Republifools.

With the GOP having a 95-55 Texas House majority, there was no doubt this odious bill was going to pass and it did 97-33.  But due to there being differing versions of extremism in SB 5, it has to go back to the Senate for reconciliation, where Senate Dems are preparing to welcome it with a filibuster in the hopes of killing it when the special session ends at midnight and denying Perry the chance to scribble his signature on it an make it law.

Lt Gov David Dewhurst (R) who is rumored to wanting to run for Perry's job next year is dropping hints that if 'certain measures' don't pass, we'll have another tax money wasting and drama filled special session.

Is it November 6, 2014 yet?

Saturday Sellout- E.W. Jackson

Bishopewjacksonsr takenatrally.JPGOne of the features I don't do as often (and need to) is expose you TransGriot readers to all the cookie-chomping sellouts worthy of the Negro Iz U Sirius?!!!! badge that was created by Denny Upkins for this blog.

Have to dustt it off and give it to our latest cookie-chomping knee-grow searching for his 15 minutes of conservafame in Rev. E.W Jackson

He was born in Chester, PA. in 1951 as the great grandson of slaves from Orange County, VA.  After spending three years in the US Marine Corps he earned a degree from University of Massachusetts Boston in three years and a law degree from Harvard in 1978.  Jackson practiced law for 15 years in the Boston area, studied at Harvard Divinity School and became the pastor of Ebenezer baptist Church in Boston.

He also taught administrative law at Northeastern University in addition to hosting a national talk radio show called 'Earl Jackson Across America' and appearing on several talk shows on WHDH-AM.

His turn to conservatism started in 1996 when he joined with the Christian Coalition to head 'The Samaritan Project' which on the surface was their effort to reach out to blacks, Hispanics and even Democrats to combat poverty through "faith-based" efforts but was nothing more than a front to attempt to convert African-Americans and Latinos to join the Republican Party..

After serving as the chaplain with the Boston Fire Department and as the minister with the chapel of the Boston Red Sox, he was consecrated a s bishop in 1998 and moved with his family to Chesapeake, VA to start Exodus Faith Ministries

He formed a conservative leaning organization in 2010 called STAND (Staying True to America's National Destiny) was a good little conservakneegro and condemned the New Black Panther Party.  In 2012 he recorded a video urging African-Americans to leave the Democratic Party because in his words it has abandoned the values of the black community and that blacks had developed a "slavish devotion" to the party.

Yeah, right.  (Moni rolls eyes)  Back to the post about the guy that makes Bishop Harry Jackson, Jr. look like a flaming moderate.    .

In a stunning political upset Jackson beat out six other better funded candidates om May 18 to become the GOP Lt Governor nominee in the upcoming Virginia gubernatorial race.

And right on cue, he opened muoth and inserted far right wing foot in it.  Jackson has said gays have “perverted” minds and are “very sick people psychologically and mentally and emotionally.” He has described President Obama as “an evil presence” and liberal abortion policy as “infanticide.”

In an op-ed column in the Washington Times in October, he wrote that Democrats back “an agenda worthy of the Antichrist.”   He claimed Planned Parenthood has been more lethal to blacks than the Ku Klux Klan

And he claimed the odious 3/5 compromise was an anti-slavery amendment.

Kneegrow are you serious?    And oh, pick up your phone, it's Harvard Law calling.   They want their degree back.

GOP Homobigot Attacking Texas Collegiate LGBT Centers Again With Unjust Amendment

State Rep. Bill ZedlerBack in the 2011 session former State Rep Wayne Christian (R-Center) wasn't living up to his name and tried to pass an amendment in the state education funding bill that attempted to kill the GLBT centers on the Texas A&M, University of Houston, and University of Texas campuses by defunding them and banning them from being housed on campus.

That amendment was dropped after Democrats threatened to scuttle the bill the hate amendment was attached to.

Fast forward to this session of the Lege.   While Wayne Christian is (thank God) no longer in Austin, his idea unfortunately remains alive.  State Rep Bill Zedler (R-Arlington) has picked up the GLBT hating torch left by Christian and filed an amendment to SB1, the Texas general appropriations bill that would cut state funding from universities that have 'Gender and Sexuality Centers and Related Student Centers' on the grounds that they 'support, promote, or encourage any behavior that would lead to high risk behavior for AIDS, HIV, Hepatitis B, or any sexually transmitted disease.'

The conservacowards in Zedler's office wouldn't return phone calls to the Dallas Voice for comment    Why am I not surprised?

And in related news in College Station, the future homohaters in the Texas A&M student Senate continued their years long attack on the GLBT Center.  A vote may be taken later this week on a measure that would allow Aggie students to opt out of funding the GLBT Resource Center with their activity fees if they have 'religious objections'.

While Zedler's unjust amendment is aimed at the GLBT centers at UH, A&M and UT, in their zeal to legislatively bash the Texas TBLG community the women's centers on various Texas university campus may also be negatively affected by this unjust amendment along with the LGBT program at the University of Texas at Arlington in Zedler's district.

So for you peeps living in the Lone Star State and our allies, you may wish to get busy calling your state rep and letting them know you want that amendment to die..

Seriously Gun Nuts? Claiming Arming My Peeps Would Have Prevented Slavery?

The gun nuts keep making our case for sensible gun regulations in the United States with every passing day..

A doozy of a talking point came out of the mouth of Larry Ward, the chairman of something called Gun Appreciation Day, which is ostensibly being held on January 19, the day before before President Obama's second inauguration happens on January 20.

Note to these history challenged conservafools.   January 19 is also Confederate General Robert E. Lee's birthday, which is celebrated as a holiday in Florida, Alabama, Arkansas, Mississippi, Georgia and in Texas as Confederate Heroes Day.

Oops   But the crime against history I'm about to pimp slap is this ludicrous comment from Ward.

"I think Martin Luther King, Jr. would agree with me if he were alive today that if African Americans had been given the right to keep and bear arms from day one of the country's founding, perhaps slavery might not have been a chapter in our history,"

WTF?  Let's get real for a moment.  The reason you and other white males have such a fetishistic attachment to guns in the United States is because of what your ancestors did to mine during slavery.

With your looming status as a minority in the US rapidly approaching in 2040 or 2050, you peeps are deathly afraid that once non-white peeps get power, we will do unto you what you did unto all of us.

And let's get back to that jacked up slavery talking point I'm going to have fun eviscerating.  Guns are what allowed you to kidnap Africans and bring them to the Western Hemisphere in the first place.   With slave rebellions a far more frequent occurrence than the 'happy darkie' meme let on, you damned sure didn't want free Blacks to have arms out of fear they would either use them to help free their captive relatives in the Deep South or send them that way in mass quantities to arm rebellious slaves.

Your fear level of armed slave rebellions went up dramatically after the successful Haitian Revolution from 1791-1804 ejected the French from their profitable Saint-Dominigue colony and established the Republic of Haiti.

The anxiety was especially acute in the Deep South in which they feared a successful repeat in the United States of what transpired in Haiti.

My ancestors damned sure did their best to make it happen with multiple slave rebellions in the wake of the successful Haitian one.  The most well known of the slave rebellions of that period was the one triggered by Nat Turner in 1831. .

Frankly you didn't want to prevent slavery.  It was far too profitable for you and it took a Union victory in the Civil War and the 13th Amendment to end it.

So don't even try to peddle some stank revisionist history like that to attempt to justify your weak position of unfettered gun access.

Tom DeLay Sentenced To 3 Years In Jail

You've probably read posts of mine about Texas politics in which I have mentioned the Delaymandering, the (illegal) midyear redistricting of Texas that happened after the Pest Control Man and two associates solicited $190,000 in corporate contributions in the 2002 election cycle to get control of the Texas House.

His Texans For A Republican Majority political pac then sent the corporate cash to an inside I-495 arm of the Republican National Committee. The RNC then sent the same amount to seven Republican Texas House candidates. Under Texas law it is illegal for corporate money to go directly to political campaigns.

Once the GOP got control of the Texas Legislature for the first time in modern Texas history, they pushed through in 2003 what I call the Delaymandering, the Tom DeLay engineered midyear redistricting plan that not only radically altered Texas congressional districts to send more Republicans to Congress, it also redrew the state legislative and state senate lines to produce Republican supermajorities.

And of course, the GW Bush controlled DOJ looked the other way at the obvious Section V violation of the 1965 Voting Rights Act.

DeLay was found guilty in a Travis County courtroom in 2010 and was facing two to 20 years in prison on the felony conspiracy charge and five to 99 years or life on the money laundering charge

The sentence got handed down, and Dick DeGuerin is worth every dime he paid him.   DeLay got sentenced to three years in the slammer for the felony conspiracy charge and five years for the money laundering.

The folks in heavily blue Travis County are still dealing with the fallout of his political handiwork and would probably disagree with this sentence.  The city of Austin has 750,000 people and deserves its own congressional district.  In DeLay and the Texas Republican Party's zeal to draw Rep Lloyd Doggett (D) out of Congress, the city is split between five separate congressional districts, four of which are held by Republicans that don't live there.

The other people glad to see justice prevailing in this case are the legions of liberal-progressive and moderate Texans.  We're still politically paying for the 2002 DeLay engineered political shenanigans that unleashed fools like Rep. Louie Gohmert on the nation.

Stop Hatin' On Dr. Susan Rice, Sen. John McCain

I've noted this racist pattern conservafools have of hatin' on African-American Obama Administration senior officials.

First it was Van Jones and Desiree Rogers, then you tried to attack US Attorney General Eric Holder for doing his damned job and putting a halt to your voter suppression bull feces, and now you fools are coming after UN Ambassador Dr. Susan E. Rice.

By the way, happy birthday Dr Rice!   She was born in Washington DC on this date in 1964.

Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) has been the point conservafool on this political smearing attack of Dr. Rice along with Sen Lindsey Graham (R-SC) whose pink elephant behind needs to come out of the closet.

Oops, did I say that?

Back to riffing on Sen John McCain and his loud and wrong attacks on Ambassador Rice, who is a potential nominee to replace Secretary of State Hillary Clinton when she steps down.

I know John McCain, the man who chose intellectually challenged Sarah Palin to be his vice presidential running mate.didn't just part his lips to say that he would do everything in his power to stop that nomination if it happened, and in addition to that had the unmitigated gall to call her 'not very bright'

Senator McCain is in no position to judge who is 'not very bright', since he graduated 894th out of 898 people in his Naval Academy class.

Dr Rice on the other hand was valedictorian of her HS class, a Phi Beta Kappa history student at Stanford and a Rhodes Scholar.

'Not very bright'?
Yeah, right.   I have three words for you Senator McCain.  Take it away, Mr. T.

And stop hatin' on Dr. Susan Rice.  She'll be a far better Secretary of State that the other non-related Republican Rice you supported.

This Texas Conservafool Was Editing Your Child's Textbooks

I was already pissed off about Hardin County Republibigot Peter Morrison and his 'maggots' comment in reference to those of us who voted to give President Obama a well deserved second term.

But the more I find out about this waste of DNA, the more I go into Maya Wilkes mode concerning him.

Morrison is not only a Paulista (strike one), he edits a racist newsletter called the Morrison Report that is republished on Tea Klux Klan and fundie evangelical websites. (strike two).

Bu the most alarming thing about this 33 year old bigot is that he was tapped by the former chair of the Texas State Board of Indoctrination Education Don McLeroy to screen Texas public school textbooks.. (strike three)

yep, a man who has called other Texans 'maggots' and who angrily accused Asian-Americans and Hispanics who backed Obama of voting on an "ethnic basis" was editing your kids textbooks.

Peter, stop projecting because your white hood is showing.  The only reason you peeps voted for Mitt Romney's clearly unqualified behind for POTUS is because you share the same 'ethnic basis' with him..

Liberal progressive Texans, we need to get busy with the project of turning Texas blue ASAP.

And yeah, you're definitely a nominee for this week's Shut Up Fool award..

Coulterdamus Was Right

You know what they say about a broken clock being right twice a day, and this moment at CPAC 2011 was one of Ann Coulter's.rare instances of being right.

Republican Racism On Display

The debates are over, and now this long 2012 presidential campaign marathon has evolved into a sprint to the November 6 finish line in eight battleground states.

Wisconsin, Colorado, Nevada, Florida, New Hampshire, Virginia and North Carolina are going to see a lot of visits by both campaigns from now until November 6.

Ohio and its must win 18 electoral votes are the big prize coveted by both campaigns.  Romney can't win without it, and while the POTUS has more paths to victory, he rather make life easier toward getting to a second term by capturing the Buckeye State.

Ohio's voters will have a major say in determining who will be standing in front of the Capitol taking the oath of office from Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts on January 21, 2013.

The stress inducing tightness of this race in the final days means that any unforced errors by either side are magnified, especially since early voting has already commenced in many of those battleground states.

And the conservafool movement ain't handling that stress too well because in addition to allowing their misogny to run rampant with Senate candidates Rep. Todd Akin in Missouri, congressional deadbeat dad Rep. Joe Walsh in Illinois, and Richard Mourdock in Indiana leading the reprehensible way, their white sheets are showing too.

They've been cutting loose with the overt and covert race baiting in their desperate attempt to try to stir up their bigot base as the clock ticks inexorably closer to November 6 and their defeat.

If it isn't media ho Donald Chump Trump one day with his yawn inducing bigoted 'October Non Surprise' demanding the POTUS release his college transcripts and passport records, it's John Sununu questioning his intelligence or hurling accusations that the only reason former Secretary of State Colin Powell endorsed the president for the second consecutive election cycle is 'because he's Black'.

Hey John, you and many of your Republifool voters are only voting for Mitt Romney because he's the incompetent white male in the race, so stop projecting.

Even Caribou Barbie crawled out from her Wasilla location to throw her race-baiting jab in at the POTUS.  Palin wrote a post on her FB page (she can write?) claiming he was 'shucking and jiving' about the Benghazi consulate attack in a desperate attempt to get back in Rupert Murdoch and Roger Ailes good graces and flagellate it into a scandal.

If you think I'm being harsh about calling the GOP racist, ain't nothin' I haven't said before on this blog.  Sadly I'll probably be writing another post about some foul racist elephant feces laden racism before the end of this month.

Let me direct your attention to a current Republican and former aide to Secretary of State Powell in former Army Col. Lawrence Wilkerson.

He's stating the white sheet wearing obvious and cosigning what every African-American voting for President Obama in this 2012 cycle has known since the 1970's

“My party, unfortunately, is the bastion of those people—not all of them, but most of them—who are still basing their positions on race.” said Wilkerson. “Let me just be candid: My party is full of racists, and the real reason a considerable portion of my party wants President Obama out of the White House has nothing to do with the content of his character, nothing to do with his competence as commander in chief and president, and everything to do with the color of his skin, and that’s despicable.”

Hey, I have to admit the man knows y'all well.  So do we, which is a major reason why the POTUS has 93% support in the African-American community and 70% support in the Latino one.

Latinos are also are waking up, smelling the cafe de leche and noting that the GOP doesn't like them either On behalf of the Democratic Party I say gracias for driving the fastest growing voter bloc in this country in our direction because of your lack of multicultural vision .

And yeah, as my Latina sister Rosie Perez pointed out, your shape shifting candidate's policies suck too.
.

Keep it KKKlassy, conservafools.   Y'all continue to be the party of choice for the bigots of America while the rest of us more forward, not backward to the mid 20th century in terms of race relations and social policy.

California GOP An Early Sign Of Nationwide GOP Collapse?

There an old axiom in American politics that states, 'As California goes, so goes the nation'..

There's an interesting article in the New York Times that discusses the current state of the California Republican Party.   The same party that produced presidents Richard Nixon and Ronald Reagan and gave Sen.Dianne Feinstein the scare of her political life during the 1994 midterms is now a weakened shell of its former self.

They have shrunk to the point in which the state is a Democratic political bastion and despite the 2010 Teapublican wave, couldn't break through and lost high profile races for the governorship and the US senate.

Registered Republicans have fallen to just 30% of the electorate, and that's not enough to win a statewide race when 43% of the electorate in California is made up of registered Democrats and another 21% is made up of independent voters.

“The institution of the California Republican Party, I would argue, has effectively collapsed,” said current MSNBC commentator Steve Schmidt, who once worked as a senior adviser to former governor Arnold  Schwarzenegger (R).

“It doesn’t do any of the things that a political party should do. It doesn’t register voters. It doesn’t recruit candidates. It doesn’t raise money. The Republican Party in the state institutionally has become a small ideological club that is basically in the business of hunting out heretics.”

What caused the fall of the once mighty California Republican Party?    The self inflicted troubles go back to their political high point in the state in 1994 when Governor Pete Wilson (R) and California Republicans successfully pushed the anti-Latino Proposition 187 that was later found to be unconstitutional.  While it unified the GOP base, it pissed off Latinos just as their numbers were exploding as a critical voting bloc in the state and Republicans have paid for it in statewide races ever since.

The increasingly batturd crazy Southern based national GOP is also alienating California independent voters they need to win in those state, county and local races in addition to the Latino and African-American ones they already pissed off.

Being on the wrong side of  gay rights, environmental issues, immigration, and abortion.also doesn't help them in this state either.

Starting with this 2012 presidential election cycle, California is now worth 55 huge electoral votes through 2020.  The Democratic presidential candidate having that many electoral votes as a building block in their electoral vote calculations is a major political headache for the national GOP.

Today the Republicans in California are a shell of their former selves with no Republicans in statewide offices, and the California state legislature, both US senate seats a majority of the states US congressional delegation, and the governor's mansion in Sacramento firmly in Democratic hands.

The deep bench of young, diverse political talent in California has the Democratic label, and the Republicans have become so focused on ideological purity that whatever moderate candidates they do have left in the party are leaving or running as independents.

While that's music to my ears as a Democrat living under the opposite political reality situation in Texas that demographics and a resurgent Texas Democratic Party are slowly climbing out of, democracy is served best when we have two healthy parties competing honestly and vigorously for everyone's votes.  .

The question I'm pondering is this.   Is what happened to the California GOP a tale that is about to replicate itself at the national GOP level and in other state Republican parties?

Or is this just a temporary situation they can come back from?   That's a question political scientists and political junkies will also be keenly interested in observing over the next few election cycles.

Romney's Bigot Base

Had someone try to argue the point with me on my Facebook page last week that race wasn't a part of this 2012 election cycle.   If you believe that, you're as clueless as Stacey Dash.

Have you been hearing the dog whistle racist comments the Romney-Ryan team make on a regular basis?

If you haven't the bigot base of the GOP definitely has.  So have non-white American voters.  The only reason this election is even this close is because of 'gentleman' like this t-shirt wearing supporter of the Romney-Ryan ticket who forgot his pointed white hood before heading to this rally .

So if this picture pisses you off, do something about it.  Bust your ass to ensure the Obama family doesn't leave the White House until January 20, 2017.

Handle your electoral business on November 6 (or whenever early voting kicks in for you) so that POTUS 44 gets 4 more years in office and Mr Bigot and his friends are forced to watch a replay of this picture on January 20.

Soledad Strikes Again!

Sooner or later, the conservafools are going to get the message that CNN's Soledad O'Brien isn't some stenographer to power like the Fox Noise fembots are.

The person who definitely should have know better was Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-UT).  She handed him his azz back in August.

Chaffetz, who is (big surprise) shilling for Romney and on Darrell Issa's (R-CA) committee trying to politicize this attack, was trying to pimp the faux outrage over the September 11 Benghazi, Libya consulate attack.

O'Brien confronted him with the inconvenient fact he voted along with his Republican buddies to cut $300 million out of the State Department's budget that pays for consulate and embassy security.

So long story short, the blood of the Ambassador and the other two Americans unfortunately killed during that attack are on Chaffetz and his party's hands.

So enjoy this beautiful footage of another conservafool being caught by a journalist doing their job. .

Told Y'all The Republicans Were Neo-Confederates

I had a proud conservative ask me recently why Black people hated conservatism and the Republican Party.  He didn't like my answer when I told him because his party had become the home of racist neo-Confederate idiots and people like him were turning a blind eye to it.

He tried to play the 'both parties do it' card that all conservatives resort to when they are confronted about their party's frequent bigotry eruptions, but I wasn't having that.   I pointed out that the Dixecrats have called the GOP home since the late 60's and long ugly racist history the Republican party has had since then.

The recent events have only added an exclamation point to what I told this proud conservative.

The firestorm hasn't died down yet from the comments that Arkansas Republifool state legislator Jon Hubbard made about slavery being 'a blessing in disguise for Blacks' and now another Arkansas Republican has put the pointed hood on, poured gasoline on the fire and co-signed what his KKKonservative KKKolleague has said.

Arkansas state rep Loy Mauch is the latest conservafool to go down the Lost Cause path by being outed by the Arkansas Times for being a pro-slavery pro-Confederacy defender in letters to the editor dating back over a decade.

Here's a sample of Loy Mauch's Greatest Hits:.

“If slavery were so God-awful, why didn’t Jesus or Paul condemn it, why was it in the Constitution and why wasn’t there a war before 1861? The South has always stood by the Constitution and limited government. When one attacks the Confederate Battle Flag, he is certainly denouncing these principles of government as well as Christianity.”

Nowhere in the Holy Bible have I found a word of condemnation for the operation of slavery, Old or New Testament. If slavery was so bad, why didn’t Jesus, Paul or the prophets say something?
This country already lionizes Wehrmacht leaders. They go by the names of Lincoln, Grant, Sherman, Sheridan, Custer, etc. These Marxists not only destroyed the Constitution they were sworn to uphold, but apostatized the word of God. Either these depraved infidels or the Constitution and Scriptures are in error. I’m more persuaded by the word of God.
Yeah right, Loy Mauch.   You're still mad because the South (thank God) and your ancestors lost the War to Perpetuate Slavery their traitorous azzes started.   Get over it and the fact you can't own me or any other African-American much less treat us like crap because of it.

The Arkansas Republican Party can say all they want or put out the canned press release that they repudiate those remarks and they don't support these people, but the campaign money flowing into their campaigns and the support from US Rep Tim Griffin (R-AR) says otherwise.

And you're on the list for this week's Shut up Fool Award.

Slavery WAS An Abomination

the institution of slavery that the black race has long believed to be an abomination upon its people may actually have been a blessing in disguise. The blacks who could endure those conditions and circumstances would someday be rewarded with citizenship in the greatest nation ever established upon the face of the Earth.”         Jon Hubbard (R) Arkansas state rep

What is it with white male conservafools trying to justify slavery and their vanillacentric privileged bigotry of African Americans on a regular basis?   As a descendant of an ancestor who arrived in New Orleans in chains in 1810 I strenuously object to your vanilla scented assessment of America's original sin on multiple levels.

I sincerely doubt that my ancestor or others who has the misfortune of being captured and given that less than luxurious boat ride from the Mother Continent considered it a blessing in disguise.

Lets see.  You get kidnapped away from your home, marched to a coastal slave castle, loaded onto a slave ship from there in chains, packed like a sardine for the horrific Middle Passage to these shores or elsewhere in the Western Hemisphere (in which an estimated 2-6 million people died during that Atlantic crossing) being sold on the auction block and then forced to work without pay under brutal conditions.

Heaven help you if that ancestor was female.  In addition to dealing with all of the above, you also had the added trauma of being raped at every stage of the process in addition to watching the children you gave birth to being sold off.

So in your jacked up line of conservathinking Jon Hubbard, we African descended Americans should be bowing down to you almighty conservative whiteys for making us the original undocumented workers, forcibly separating us from and erasing knowledge of our African heritage and culture, destroying our families, and bringing us here to do the work of building this 'greatest nation on earth' you so called God fearing Christians were too lazy to do.

Yeah, right.

And about that American citizenship you spoke of.  It took a civil war the traitorous Confederate states started and thankfully lost and the passage and ratification of the 13th,14th and 15th Amendment for us African descended people to get that citizenship that the Dred Scott v. Sandford case initially denied us.

It also took us fighting off white pointed hooded terrorists, a lot of bloodshed, a long progression of court cases, passage of federal laws and 100 plus years of agitation organized by visionary community leaders just to be recognized as second class US citizens.
Much of what ails this country in terms of race relations and what ails Black America has its roots in slavery.  Slavery along with colonialism had deleterious effects on the African continent that are still in evidence today.

So from where I and every thoughtful African-American sits, slavery was, is and always will be an abomination.  Slavery was also a monstrous crime against humanity that we definitely need to be compensated for seeing that we are still suffering the post-traumatic effects from it 150 years later.

It's also regular history challenged bigot eruptions like this that not only piss off African-Americans and turn us off from conservatism and the Republican Party, but ensure that we'll continue to vote for Democratic politicians at all levels of government in this country.
