9th Anniversary of Stephanie And Ukea's Deaths

On August 12, 2002 the city of Washington D.C and its trans community were rocked by the execution style killings of two transteens, Stephanie Thomas and Ukea Davis.

They were shot dead by a semi automatic weapon at the same 50th and C Street corner in in Southeast D.C. in which the fatal traffic accident occurred in 1995 that started the chain of events that ended in transwoman Tyra Hunter's death


I've written posts about their murder on the anniversary it happens since 2007, and I was pissed last year that the anniversary date passed without me acknowledging it.  Granted, there was a lot of news I was keeping track of at that time, but that's still no excuse.  

These young sisters died because somebody hated them so much for transitioning that they felt they had the right to violently terminate their lives.  I don't want people or the trans community to forget what happened to these young African descended transwomen or why they are no longer here on planet Earth with us.

I also want the wastes of DNA who committed this heinous crime to be brought to justice not just for me, the trans community of DC and around the world, but Stephanie's mother as well .

Teonna Brown Pleads Guilty In McBeatdown

Earlier today now 19 year old Teonna Monae Brown pleaded guilty in a Baltimore County court to one count of first-degree assault and one count of a hate crime in the videotaped beating of 22 year old transwoman Chrissy Lee Polis in a Rosedale, MD McDonald's that went viral.

The attack occurred days after a public accommodations free trans rights bill died in the Maryland senate and focused renewed attention on the human rights of trans people and how vital civil rights protections are for us.

According to Baltimore County State's Attorney Scott Shellenberger, the girl who was charged as a juvenile in the Polis attack admitted her role in it during a June 1 juvenile court proceeding and was sentenced to a locked juvenile facility.

The sentencing of Brown will take place next month with prosecutors seeking a five year prison sentence for the McBeatdown.   

I'd like to suggest they add something else to the sentence.   Once Brown and the juvenile complete their jail time, they not only be sentenced to do a specified number of hours with a Baltimore area group that does community service working on behalf of transpeople, that they attend a local Transgender Day of Remembrance ceremony as well..

Time will tell if this is the person.    But back to this post about Eddie's comment.   

Eddie, you missed the point of why we were upset about this jacked up FB page.   The cycle of hate that needs to stop aimed at transwomen starts with you cis people.   

We do see the bigger picture here, one that you failed to comprehend since you aren't part of the group being repeatedly attacked, denigrated and disrespected on a regular basis and having their humanity questioned.

We're not supposed to be fracking upset when some fool starts a FB page or website that exposes transwomen and opens them up to potential danger, sexual assault and murder less than a week after a Black transwoman gets murdered in DC?    And if a ciswoman gets misidentified as a transwoman courtesy of this site, she could be subjected to a hate attack as well.

I said it Sunday night on TransFM and I'll say it again.  African American transwomen are tired of this crap and we aren't going to take it any more.  You need to realize that this fool put people's lives in danger when he pulled this juvenile stunt. and that he doesn't (nor anyone else) have the right to do that.

You can try to hide behind the First Amendment if you want to.  The First Amendment doesn't give you the right to do the equivalent of yelling 'Fire' in a crowded theater either and put people's lives in danger, something that this waste of DNA would find out very quickly when he was facing criminal charges and civil suits from the victims of the FB exposes if they suffered a hate attack as the result of them..

You cis people don't have to like trans people.   But you do have to (and will) respect our humanity, because if you don't there will be consequences for not doing so.

Remember the Tranny Alert blog I complained about two years ago and got it shut down because it could have led to a transwoman getting killed and the person organizing it and Blogger to get sued civilly?

Well, some fool is trying to do a repeat of the same thing on Facebook by setting up an 'Exposing Trannies' page

THE HOTTIES PAGE ON FACEBOOK! EXPOSING TRANNIES! IF IT GET DELETED JUST TYPE US IN THE SEARCH BOX CAUSE ANOTHER ONE WILL BE MADE IN 5 MINS AFTER IT GETS DELETED! #TEAM EXPOSE EM

Tthe so called Team Expose Em has set up these pages and claims they are going to set them up for every US city and that's a problem, especially for them and Facebook. 

But whoever this waste of DNA is, he doesn't care:

And we'll be just as determined to kill them and expose your behind.  You must be stopped before somebody gets hurt..  And as you probably guessed, the majority of transpeeps exposed on this initial page have been African American transwomen so far..

Just as with the problematic Tranny Alert page, if someone gets killed, sexually or physically assaulted as a result of being outed because of their BS, the so called Team Expose Em and Facebook could possibly be facing a civil suit.

And it not just transwomen who are in danger.  If they misidentify a ciswoman as trans, she could be subjected to a hate attack as well.

Okay peeps, time to get busy and let Facebook know they have a problem on their hands.
