Another Day, Another WWBT Lie Debunked

One of the lies the WWBTs have been loudly and incorrectly trying to pimp is that the transgender umbrella term was forced onto the trans community against our will by crossdressers, or in WWBT speak, the Transgender Borg.


Since I grew up in the 70's I recalled reading the 'transgender' term in many of the articles I'd clipped or read on transsexuality during the 80's, and remembered the debates about the issue in the late 80's-early 90's

I've pointed out that it was transsexuals who advocated that the community use this term because they correctly argued that we shouldn't be defining ourselves and our community, much less be advocating for civil rights coverage using a term created by the medical community to define us.

So I was pleased to read this Ehipassiko post of Cristan's pointing out the 'transgender term had been in use since the mid 1970's and popped up in a 1985 newspaper interview given by none other than the first well known United States transsexual, the late Christine Jorgenson.

Let's take a trip back in time to December 18, 1985 and peruse what Christine Jorgenson had to say about the word 'transsexual'.

The word transsexual irks Jorgenson because the word sex, she believes is only relevant to what one does in bed.. "I am a transgender because gender refers to who you are as a human being."

People who think they wish to switch sexes can go to 'gender identity clinics' where it can determined if they really do want to take the plunge, says Jorgenson.

Daaayum.   The world's most famous trans person identified as transgender, and oh yeah, she's post operative to boot.

After Cristan pimps slaps them with several more newspaper article clippings she summarizes her post with this comment:

So, can we please stop with the whole “crossdressers pushed that identity on us” stuff? The word was obviously used by clinicians in the 1970s, in the mass-media by transsexuals in the early 80s and then used to describe transsexuals by media in the late 1980s. Our culture was obviously using the term to talk about atypical expressions of gender, concepts of having gender neutrality, cross-gender expression and transsexuality since the 1970s. 

Sadly, I don't think the Transsexual Taliban will cease and desist with their increasingly debunked lies. 

It's STILL A White Transwoman Thang

That quote is from one of the first posts I wrote as a Bilerico Project contributor, and I chose to point out the TS vs TG battle was monoethnic in character. 

I wrote it in a neutral tone and there was so much drama and attempted silencing in the comment threads I felt like I was cruising on a certain African river

I said it in 2008, have repeatedly said it without stuttering, and will say it again now until y'all get it. 

The 'TS vs TG' war is an ongoing intramural semantics battle between groups of white trans women.  I don't have or see the same 'TS vs TG' bull feces going on in chocolate transworld because we have more important things and concerns to deal with like trying to stay alive, fight for civil rights coverage or stay employed.   

I have repeatedly seen this crap come up far too often during my time interacting in the trans community between predominately late transitioning privilege laden white transwomen advocating separation based on SRS acquired genitalia.   It's why I add the extra 'W' to WBT because it's frankly, truth in advertising.

They've been on the rant about the transgender umbrella label we've used politically since the 90's.

Here's another reality check.  According to the recent NGLTF trans survey, when they asked a how do you identify question on that survey,  65% of the respondents to that just released survey ID as 'transgender.'

As to how many rejected the 'transgender' label?   Only 10% of the over 6000 people who took that survey.   

One of the major problems I have with you WWBT's is your loud claims that SRS is the dividing line between TS and TG status and your attempts to force your dogma on 'errbody' else under the discredited 'you're being oppressed' argument.    Never mind the fact that you are hypocritically engaging in the same oppressing and excluding people that you loudly claim others are aiming at you.

I also have a problem with the fact that the transpeople you WWBT's are denigrating and are hell bent on excluding happen to share my ethnicity.  I also find it interesting that of your three so-called declared 'enemies' of the WWBT/HBS/CT movement, two of the three are POC's. 

Oh yeah, can't forget being called by them a 'racist crossdresser' and put on their 'enemies list' for speaking my mind and tellin' it like it T-I-S is.  

Whatever, ubermenschen.   Hey, I'm just stating the facts like I always do about you WWBT's and you try to conservaspin it as 'racist'.   Those of us who took and retained our Sociology 101 lessons know better.

Yours is a minority, laughable, and increasingly false view that only carries validity in your vanilla privileged post operative 'classic transsexual' world that you're 'being oppressed'.   You WWBT's can never come up with concrete examples when asked or documented proof when challenged to do so on exactly how you vanilla transsexual separatists are 'being oppressed'

As an African American, if you ask me that 'how am I being oppressed' question, I can quickly come up with specific ways of how and why that is happening to my people that are easily verifiable by multiple sources and rooted in historical fact.   What you WWBT peeps come up with is the same discredited talking points, obfuscations, straight up lies, and blown up logic deficient straw man arguments. 

And as one of your declared 'enemies' I'm proud to be one of the Trinity Award winning people continuing to call you WWBT's out and point out the logical failings and fallacies in your feces laden arguments.

You are in denial about your transsexual separatist movement being a cesspool of whiteness and white privilege. You refuse to acknowledge your use of radical feminist rhetoric to demonize the rest of us to the point where even Dirt and her like minded friends quote y'all on the regular in their hate screeds.

Just curious to know if you're going to be hanging out on 'The Land' with your rad fem 'allies' in Hart, MI this summer since you're women now. Bet they'll have a dissenting opinion about you Dubya Dubya Bee Tee's at Michfest.

So to sum this up, let me make this point crystal clear for you WWBT's, peeps wallowing in vanilla flavored privilege, and others with reading comprehension issues. 

The assertion that SRS=legitimacy and trans status while 'errbody' else who hasn't had surgery is not trans is classist, racist, vanilla-privileged Eurocentric thinking.

I've advocated unified community pursuit of trans rights since 1998 and have diligently worked to get more African American involvement in the process.   The WWBT racism and mean spirited exclusionary rhetoric makes it harder not only for us to work together to achieve trans rights, it makes it harder for me get other trans people of color involved because of the mess and confusion y'all keep going.  

'Errbody' else on the planet has trans communities that work together to get their civil rights coverage and focus on neutralizing their external enemies.   You WWBT clowns make it harder for us to do that.    

Your intramural white transwoman thang is starting to have deleterious effects on the rest of the trans rights movement in the States, and that's distasteful to me.

WWBT Haters Gonna Hate

Another Day, Another WWBT Pimp Slapping

It seems I've plucked some transsexual separatist nerves by calling them the Transsexual Taliban or my longtime sobriquet I've aimed at them, the WWBT's

It stands for White Women Born Transsexual for those of you who haven't heard the WBT/HBS girls referred to in that way.  It's also a reaction to the Transsexual Taliban denigrating and disrespecting pre-op and non-op transwomen.

It's also a result of transwomen like myself who aren't down with the HBS vanilla flavored exclusionary BS getting fed up with their verbal attacks.

If you're simply women now, then go play on the freeway or the third rail of a subway track and leave us transpeeps the hell alone.    Better yet, why don't y'all roll up to Hart, Michigan and see if your radical lesbian femninst buddies will let you peeps on The Land for this years MichFest?


Well girls, it's truth in advertising time.  I transitioned in 1994, and I don't see Black or Latina transwomen  engaged in intramural 'trans than thou' semantics wars in the transosphere.  That seems to be an activity repetitively engaged in by a small minority of white trans women..

White transwomen in WWBT/HBS world have repeatedly engaged in hurling insults and radical feminist dogma at other transpeople they don't like n order to either make themselves feel superior to non-op/pre-op ones, regain their lost privilege, pimp their SRS=transsexual agenda or all of the above.


It's reality check time for a moment.  Gender is between your ears, not your legs.    The genitalia=transsexual crap you nauseatingly spew is BS for starters and smacks of transphobia.

It's the same claptrap right wingers and radical lesbian feminists disrespectfully spit at us that you remixed.    It discounts or ignores the real life experiences of people that move from being identified as gay, or female illusionist or committed crossdresser to being trans.

News flash for you ubermenschen, in some cases those peeps are even have SRS once they see the trans light.

Surgery is supposed to be the icing on the cake for transpeople, not the main reason you transition.  I've seen it far too often in my nearly two decades in this community amongst non-POC transpeople that have the cash to do so.

They're in a hurry to get the body, but don't take the time in the RLT phase to realize that femininity is a lifelong constantly evolving process.   They don't clue in to the fact that the physical, mental and societal changes that a gender transition entails take time to adjust to.

Too many are far too obsessed about getting the money for surgery, booking that flight to Montreal, Phoenix, San Francisco or Bangkok, getting the snip and tuck done ASAP, and then get mad when somebody 'sirs' them    Hey, don't get mad at the pre-op/non-op girls because you're sitting at home on Friday night with a $10K neocoochie and the pre-op/non-op girls phones are blowing up in addition to being surrounded at the club when they sashay in with masculine company options.


You WWBT's don't get to be the arbiters of who is trans, shift the definition goalposts much less deny the lived experiences of other transwomen.    If you had cis female friends you'd also know the fundamental truth that womanhood is an evolutionary process.


So yeah, get mad all you want about the WWBT sobriquet.   Y'all started it, and the rest of us grown ups are sick and tired of you wannabe rad fems.   We're simply reacting to what you have done unto us and are bringing the pain.  

And to paraphrase former Senator Trent Lott, I enjoy feeding my opponents words back to them when appropriate.
