I have much love for my sis Jessica Zyrie. She's now in a several months long relationship with her boyfriend Alexander, and I couldn't be happier for both of them.
Alexander Lane Miller posted this picture recently on his Facebook page that was limited only to his Facebook feed. It was not set to public view, and this photo wasn't made public until I published it with their permission in this blog post.
Hey, I ain't mad at either him or Jessica. They are an amazing couple, they are obviously to anyone observing them in love with each other, and I want nothing but the best for both of them.
They are also both unapologetically trans, and I hope and pray their relationship keeps growing into one that leads to marriage.
But as you probably guessed, somebody lurking in that comment thread on Alexander's page was hating. Alexander shockingly received this message from Facebook claiming that someone had reported the pic he posted of himself and his girlfriend as spam and that it went against Facebook's nebulous 'community standards'.
Really? A pic of an attractive couple is spam? Since when? I guess it's spam or 'against community standards' when it's shining a positive light on Black trans peeps.
FYI Facebook. The leader of an SPLC certified hate group in Tony Perkins is not the person you need to be taking advice from as to what is or isn't offensive on The Net..
One of the things that pisses me off about Facebook is that it is far too easy for haters to report a post as spam or offensive, and they knee jerk respond to that complaint as if it's valid.
Because they do that, your post gets blocked or taken down as a result. Once you discover this has happened, and you try to get a real live human there to plead your case or get someone at Facebook to to explain why they came to that decision, it can take days for that conversation to happen.|
Meanwhile the hater is rejoicing because they have succeeded in getting your positive post pulled
This crap also happens far too often on Facebook to Black people and members of the trans community
Alexander has finally gotten in contact with a human being at Facebook in order to protest the unjust initial decision, and his request to reverse this obviously wrong decision is pending.
And Facebook need to expeditiously right this wrong.
TransGriot Update (12 January) Was advised by Alexander that Facebook has reversed their decision and the pic is now back up on his feed.

My Trip To Wakanda
I went to check out Black Panther today at the AMC 8 Houston. I've been looking for an excuse to go there since they bought it, and am happy I now have another inside the Loop movie theater option to choose when I'm ready to see a movie.
For you Houstonians going 'What movie theater downtown?", it was the former Angelika Theater in Bayou Place that closed down in August 2010, then reopened as a Sundance Cinema before being bought out by AMC where I attended the 1 PM screening of it.
But back to Black Panther. Was it worth the wait? All I have to say about it for now since I don't want to spoil it for you folks who haven't seen it yet is hell yeah and WOW!
It was so nice not only seeing myself represented on the silver screen, but so many kick butt women.
I also watched Black Panther in 3D, and will probably see it again This movie is shattering box office records, and is cruising toward a $210-215 million dollar opening weekend, which is the highest ever for any Marvel Cinematic Universe film,
Vanillacentric privileged people are hating on it for doing so to the point they are trying to 'scurr' other white folks into NOT going to see the movie by posting fake news of violence that hasn't occurred.
Oh well, y'all can #BeMad and #StayMad about that. We're going to keep bum rushing the multiplexes to see it
One of the things that did bother me was having a young white male in line at the theater I went to see it at in downtown Houston show up with a small backpack and roller suitcase.
The reason it bothered me was because I remember the mass shooting that happened in an Aurora, CO movie theater back in 2012. It was why I was concerned this person's suitcase and backpack weren't inspected before they let him in.
It became a problem halfway through my viewing of the film when it was stopped and the lights went up in the auditorium after the folks who had been seated by him in the back part of the theater ( I was in the sixth row) noticed he wasn't there and reported it to the ticket booth and manager.
They searched the auditorium for a few minutes to make sure he and his bags weren't there before turning the auditorium lights back down and resuming the film.
Despite that drama and having to do a sprint to the bathroom when my attempt to hold my bladder until the movie ended became an emergency sprint to the lavatory when my bladder said 'screw what you want ' and demanded immediate attention.
I was planning on seeing it again anyway.,and now I have even more of a reason to do so

Caitlyn Wants To Be A Trans Ambassador For Trans Oppressor Ted Cruz
At first when I heard this, I thought this was a satire site headline, but unfortunately it's WTF inducing true. Caitlyn Jenner, trans Republican, said in an The Advocate profile interview with Dawn Ennis that she wants to be the trans ambassador for my junior senator from Alberta, Ted Cruz.
Yeah, let me repeat that. Caitlyn Jenner wants to be the trans ambassador for Ted Cruz, the same one who is running for the GOP nomination for president. He is an unrepentant dominionist azzhole whose father and wife thinkz that Conservagod wants him to be POTUS. Cruz has demonized trans people during this campaign for the 2016 GOP presidential nomination, but Caitlyn thinks he's 'very nice'.
You're kidding me, right? And some of y'all started tripping when I called her out two months ago.
That was a comment so breathtakingly clueless I have to wonder if she's officially joined the Log Cabin Republicans.
You're going to be should this country lose its collective mind and elect that Canadian as president, the trans ambassador for a guy who thinks that the Obama administration's support for trans kids is lunacy, has unleashed other anti-trans attacks while on the campaign trail. and denounced the HERO when we were fighting to keep our human rights law.
Keep on believing you'll be able to have any influence on your transphobic party as a trans Republican, especially since they basically declared war on us by calling for state GOP controlled legislatures to pass anti-trans measures.
Then again, don`t think, wake the f**k up.
The major reason I'm rooting for Donald Trump to get the GOP nomination is because this nation does not need another Texas Republican in the White House, especially at this critical time in our nation's history.
And Caitlyn, while you have every right to support whoever you wish in this 2016 presidential contest, I would suggest that you not support a presidential candidate who thinks it's sound political strategy and policy to demonize our trans younglings for political gain.
