4 Million Hits!

Another day, another TransGriot milestone moment.

At 3:09 AM I had the 4 millionth person come surf by and visit my blog.

Once again I sincerely thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedules to do so.  From the feedback I get from you TransGriot readers I've been fortunate to meet you enjoy the posts and me telling it like it T-I-S is about many issues inside and outside the trans community.

As long as I'm blessed to keep this now six year old electronic forum operating, that's going to be the modus operandi of this blog.  It will also be unapologetically Black, trans and proud to be both.

You readers unconditional love and respect for what I do keeps me motivated and focused on providing a quality blog that you'll want to come back to and recommend to your friends.

Thank you once again for helping me reach another milestone.  Now on to 5 million hits!

Getting Close To 4 Million Hits!

Sometime this week I'll pass another blogging milestone in terms of having my 4 millionth visitor peruse this blog.

I thank all of you longtime readers who have donated funds to help me keep it going.  I thank you pees around the world who shouted out to the rooftops and inside and outside your influence circles how much you like it.  I thank the people who send me links and leads for potential posts and all the people who have given me awards for what I write here.

And thank you TransGriot fans for telling me when we do meet when I'm out and about how much you love what I do.

I also have to thank my haters (and you know who you are).  Thank you haters, for motivating me to keep doing what I do here on these electronic pages.  Being unapologetically Black and trans, striving for even greater heights of blogging excellence, telling the stories and shining a bright spotlight on trans African-Americans.

And yep, I come up with the posts you don't wanna hear and that 'nobody will read'

Thanks For The Blog List Love!

The Wherethegirlsgo blog recently put together a list of Twelve Queer Blogs To Watch, and guess which blog is mentioned at Number Four on their list?

Yep, moi.

Wow, this is an unexpected blessing and it is most deeply appreciated.  Nice to know that people like reading TransGriot and enjoy my posts.   It's also wonderful to discover (as I did during Netnoots Nation last week) people like the Afrocentric focus on TBLG issues this blog provides.

Thank you for the honor, Wherethegirlsgo Blog and thank you dear readers for continuing to spend your valuable web surfing time here at my cyberhome..

Appreciate the blog love

Welcome New TransGriot Readers!

During my highly enjoyable time at Netroots Nation I was pleased and proud to meet not only some of my blogging heroes and sheroes, but people who are toiling away whose names aren't known yet in their local communities doing what they can do to make life better for all of us.

Some of them are just now becoming aware of TransGriot, started reading it during the conference, told me how much they liked what I had to say on many issues and appreciated most of all the unapologetic chococentric point of view I have about issues inside and outside the TBLG community.

Some have even begun putting links to TransGriot on their own blogs and I'm reciprocating to those who do so in my own blog link list which frankly needs a makeover.

So for those of you just discovering my electronic cyberhome, welcome.   Check out the over 5500 post that I've written over the last six years.  Some might make you laugh, others will make you cry when you read them.  Others will piss you off while others will enlighten, educate and empower you.

I also thank you longtime TransGriot readers as well for being there and reading me for all these years and you also let me know at Netroots Nation 2012 how much you love and appreciate my writing.

But TransGriot is basically designed with one purpose in mind, and that is to get you to critically think about trans issues and see them from a different perspective.

Post 5500!

Another day, another milestone post.

TransGriot readers, you're perusing post number 5500 since I started compiling them on these electronic pages on January 1, 2006.

When you think about it, that;s a lot of writing about a wide range of subjects.  While trans issues and the issues of trans people of color and the African Diaspora will always be Job One here, as you know I do and will talk about anything that interests me outside the confines of TBLG issues.

And you are already aware of the fact that when i do, I'm not 'scurred' to tell it like it T-I-S is about what's going on.   It's why I have over 3.8 million hits and counting.

As for my haters, y'all can keep on hatin' and drinking that Haterade from 55 gallon drums because you are my motivators to keep me doing what I do.  Besides, I want to make sure that you have plenty to build up a frothing at the mouth dislike of me

To the people who send me love, appreciation, shout outs on Facebook and Twitter and occasionally drop something in the electronic tip jar, thank you.  Your kind words and praise also motivate me to continue the high quality writing, the Black trans history post, and the features of this blog y'all tell me you love.

Thank you, and on to the next milestone post.

All Time Record Traffic Days At TransGriot

I know I have a lot of people who read this blog on a regular basis, but if you did so on Tuesday, you helped me break my one day record for the most hits I've ever received in one day.

In conjunction with the post I wrote about the late feminist poet Adrienne Rich's transphobia, I had 9678 peeps surfing over on April 3 to check it out.

That obliterated the 8561 people I had checking out an August 27, 2009 post I wrote about Tenika Watson  in the wake of Teddy Pendergrass' January 2010 death which was my previous one day record.  .
The 7933 people I had surfing over to TransGriot on Wednesday is my third highest all time day in terms of one day traffic as well.

So thank you for coming over to read TransGriot and taking the time out of your busy day to read those posts and some of the over 5000 posts I have written on other subjects as well.   It's deeply appreciated.

Taking The Day Off

Been recovering from a nasty cold I picked up last Saturday due to the radical temperature shifts we had in H-town over last few days.   It was one that had me feeling miserable for 36 hours, jacked with my normal sleeping pattern, has me still sneezing and coughing up congestion and I'm really just getting to the point where I'm starting to feel like my normal self.

I take it y'all noticed I haven't been on my usual posting schedule because of it.

So I can focus on getting better, I'm taking the day off     If some breaking news happens that I just have to report on it I might post it today, otherwise the game plan is to be back to as close to my normal posting schedule as possible tomorrow.
