Tea Klux Klan Already Trying To Intimidate POC Voters in Harris County

Early voting started yesterday in the Lone Star State, and the Tea Klux Klan and their Republican auxiliaries are already up to their election politricks.

Operatives reportedly paid by the Tea Party have swarmed minority early voting locations throughout Harris County, appointed as “poll watchers” by the local Republican Party and Republican candidates.

Once inside, they try any means necessary to disrupt voting and intimidate voters.  They attempt to block access to polling places and hover over voters trying to vote, even positioning themselves to watch the minority voters while they are casting ballots. They try to talk to voters and election workers and are confrontational and hostile.

Their mission that they have freely accepted is to DISCOURAGE AND INTIMIDATE MINORITY VOTERS AND KEEP THEM FROM VOTING!

My question to the GOP-Tea Klux Klan is this.   If you are so certain that your GOTea Klux Klan candidates are going to win, why try to suppress the minority vote?

You're doing it because you know that you not only AREN'T the majority of the American people, you are an Astroturfed corporate top-down movement that the people who aren't swayed by your Faux News propaganda arm reject.

Most of the conduct reported so far is clearly illegal.  But that's par for the course for Republicans and why they are so hated by POC voters.   These Tea Klux Klan poll watchers are not only enemies of democracy who don’t want people to vote, they are lawbreakers!

But don't just take Moni's word for it.   Here’s what the Texas Election Code says:

“A watcher may not be present at the voting station when a voter is preparing the voter’s ballot or is being assisted by a person of the voter’s choice.” Texas Election Code section 33.057(b)

“While on duty, a watcher may not converse with a voter or communicate in any manner with a voter regarding the election.” Texas Election Code section 33.058(a)(2).

The only conversation which can occur between an election officer and a poll watcher is “to call attention to an irregularity or violation of law.” Texas Election Code section 33.058(a)(1).

They are breaking these laws for one reason only – to try to intimidate minority voters into not voting.

Harris County Democratic Party chair Gerry Birnberg stated in a letter released today:

'We cannot let them get away with this.  We fought too hard for the right to vote to let a bunch of bigots and thugs take it away from us now. The best way to fight this effort to take away people’s voting is to VOTE! Show them it won’t work! Show them nobody is going to disrupt or intimidate or harass us into not voting!'

Chairman Birnberg's letter also gave tips on how to report the poll watchers and the shady electoral behavior.

If you witness any of this illegal activity at the polls, try to get the name of the “poll watcher” who engaged in it and if they’re too afraid to give it to you, record a physical description.

Then fill out an Election Incident Report Form or email headquarters (hcdp@hcdp.org) a complete description of what happened, and please include your name and telephone number so we can get in touch with you to ask more questions if we have to. If you don’t have access to email, call us at 713-802-0085, but our telephone lines are so busy right now, we’d really much prefer an email if you can do so.

It’s time to stand up to people who don’t want you to vote.

Damn right, Gerry..   Especially misguided low information thugs who want to take this country back to the 18th Century..

More Like Satan's Flag

For those of you who wonder why I persist in calling the Teabaggers the Tea Klux Klan, check out this link from TeaParty.org with the 'God's Flag' caption.

More like it's Satan's flag.

It's the flag of traitors who wanted to overthrow the United States so they could continue to enslave my ancestors. It's the flag of pointed hood wearing terrorists who couldn't accept the fact they lost the 'War To Perpetuate Slavery' they started.

It's the flag of violent terroristic resistance to my people's attempts to pull themselves up by their bootstraps in the wake of emancipation and Reconstruction.

It's the flag of people who opposed the Civil Rights movement and of nullification.

It's the flag of white folks who hate and resent the fact that we have an African-American president who won a landslide election and his family living in the White House my people built with their unpaid labor.

Heritage not hate, my azz. It's a flag that represents a heritage of hate.

It's also the flag of those who wallow in a toxic stew of prejudice, ignorance, anger and fear that their version of America is going the way of the dinosaur.

God's flag? Please. The Civil War is over and you Southern-fried conservafools thankfully lost. Get over it.

Tea Klux Klan Tracker

A new website is now up with the goal of tracking all the racist and phobic shenanigans of the Tea Klux Klan and its affiliated groups.

At Tea Party Tracker.org its unblinking eye will be focused on the movement and holding it accountable.

Now as for the covert racist elements in the Tea Klux Klan, that's on them

More Tea Klux Klan Homophobia

For you GLBT people who have ludricrously drank the Delusional GOP Red flavored Kool Aid and advanced the cow feces that the Democrats are the enemy of GLBT kind, y'all really need to wake up, smell the coffee and note that your enemy worships the Elephant.

Funny, I don't see any Democratic party platform that advocates criminalizing same gender marriage or your bedroom activities as the Texas GOP one does. I didn't see the GOP pass GOP friendly laws in the 12 years they had control of Congress and the eight years they stole the White House.

But yet' in GLBT Bizarro world, the Democrats are the enemies of the community. Because a few conservafools have said nice words about marriage equality, they are suddenly 'more friendly' on the issues than the Democrats who fought tooth and nail to keep the Federal Marriage Amendment from becoming the 28th Amendment to the US Constitution, have spent the last 22 months reversing anti gay GLBT policies, and passing GLBT friendly legislation such as the Byrd-Shepard Hate Crimes Bill?

How quickly you forget. But oh, I forgot, if it ain't marriage equality, DOMA or DADT repeat, it's 'crumbs'.

Buy a vowel and get a rainbow clue. The Republican Party hates you, and their Astroturfed Tea Klux Klan subsidiaries aren't much better. The sooner you get that through your heads and run to the polls this November to keep them out of Congress, the better.

Already posted about the Conservative Voter Guide an Ohio Tea Klux Klan group was putting together, now here's another reality check for you.

Peep this FB exchange that was posted on the Ampilfy Your Voice blog between Tim Ravndal, the now former president of the Montana Big Sky Tea Party and Dennis Scranton in which they make jokes about the Matthew Shepard murder.

Dennis Scranton: "I think fruits are decorative. Hang up where they can be seen and appreciated. Call Wyoming for display instructions."

Tim Ravndal: "@Kieth, OOPS I forgot this aint(sic) America no more! @ Dennis, Where can I get that Wyoming printed instruction manual?"

Ravndal was removed from the presidency of the group, but the damage has already been done. It's more evidence of the true nature of the Tea Klux Klan movement.

Tim and everybody who thinks like you, the America in which you vanilla flavored peeps could kill anyone you didn't like with impunity is thankfully long gone.

Those of us on the liberal-progressive side not only don't want to live in your neo Know Nothing, phobic, white supremacist flavored America, we don't want it making a comeback.

Ohio Tea Klux Klan Chapter Hatin' On TBLG Peeps

Y'all know I have zero love for the teabaggers, and after reading this latest revelation about them, the negativity I have for them just got ratcheted up another level.

Thanks to Think Progress, this little tidbit about a local Ohio Tea Klux Klan group called the Freedom Institute of Erie County has surfaced.

It's creating a 15 question Conservative Voter Guide that has some very interesting questions, and a few which will be of major interest to us folks in the TBLG end of the political spectrum.

Peep these:

3. Marriage is defined as being between a man and a woman, any other type of Union is not marriage.

4. Children should not be placed into foster homes where the parents are homosexual, bisexual, or transgender.

10. I oppose the ‘don’t ask, don’t tell’ policy of the military and believe that all same sex partners should be banned from combat duty in the military because of the propensity to transmit blood-borne diseases in the theatre of battle.

They have every right to create their candidate forms and ask whatever questions they want in order to ascertain whether the candidate they wish to support shares their values or not.

But this is more evidence that they are what people have said they are. Homophobic, racist and if you read the rest of the questions on the Think Progress story, out of their damned minds.

And some of you GLBT fools are considering staying home and not voting because you're mad at Democrats?

Better check the alarm clock and wake the hell up!

Maine Tea Klux Klan Trips Over White Sheets

The more the Tea Klux Klan tries to prove and protest they aren't racist, the more those white sheets come out of the closet. The DCist posted a link to the latest exhibit of that.

The Maine Teabaggers posted a Washington D.C. travel guide to their site to advise the conservasheeple 'Real Americans' going to Glenn Beck's fake civil rights rally this weekend.

***

DC's population includes refugees from every country, as the families of embassy staffs of third world countries tend to stay in DC whenever a revolution in their homeland means that anyone in their family would be in danger if they went back. Most taxi drivers and many waiters/waitresses (especially in local coffee shops like the Bread and Chocolate chain) are immigrants, frequently from east Africa or Arab countries. As a rule, African immigrants do not like for you to assume they are African Americans and especially do not like for you to guess they are from a neighboring country (e.g. Eritrea, Ethiopia, Somalia) with whom they may have political or military tensions. It's rare to meet anyone who gets really offended, but you can still be aware of the issue.

Many parts of DC are safe beyond the areas I will list here, but why chance it if you don't know where you are?

If you are on the subway stay on the Red line between Union Station and Shady Grove, Maryland. If you are on the Blue or Orange line do not go past Eastern Market (Capitol Hill) toward the Potomac Avenue stop and beyond; stay in NW DC and points in Virginia. Do not use the Green line or the Yellow line. These rules are even more important at night. There is of course nothing wrong with many other areas; but you don't know where you are, so you should not explore them.

If on foot or in a cab or bus, stay in Bethesda, Arlington (preferably north Arlington), Crystal City, Falls Church, Annandale, or Alexandria, or in DC only in northwest DC west (i.e. larger street numbers) of 14th or 16th streets, or if on Capitol Hill only in SE Capitol Hill (zip 20003) between 1st and 8th Streets, not farther out than 8th (e.g. 9th, 10th etc). (Or stay on the Mall and at the various monuments.) Again there are many other lovely places, from the Catholic University of America to Silver Spring, Maryland. But you don't know where you are so you cannot go, especially at night, unless you take me with you.

Yeah right. What's the Black population of Maine again?

This rally is already foul enough that you're trying to hijack the civil rights movement that you have spent much time, energy and money opposing.

I'm looking forward to seeing how spectacular a failure this one will be and what kind of spin comes out to cover it up.

Are You Smarter Than A Teabagger?

Are you smarter than a teabagger? Just thought as a TransGriot public service I should show you photographic evidence of some of the ignorance proudly on display at your local teabagger rallies.

Did the USA add seven more states I'm not aware of?

A failing grade in home schooled spelling.

This one can't even spell the N-word correctly.

That is spelled T-H-A-T

Take your own advice, teabagging MORON.

Are you smarter than a teabagger? Then vote on November 2 in massive numbers and prove it. The country you save may be your own.

See? Told Y'all The Tea Klux Klan ls Racist

We've all seen the hue and cry come for the Tea Klux Klan complaining that the NAACP and the 'liberal media' mischaracterizes their movement as racist.

They deployed numerous 'Black' conservafools and imitation Internet African Americans to swarm the Net and NAACP Internet sites to 'prove' they aren't.

Methinks y'all doth protest too much.

If it walks like a racist duck, talks like a racist duck, and quacks like a racist duck, it's a racist duck, baby.

QuacKKK! QuacKKK! QuacKKK!

Speaking of racist Tea Klux Klan ducks, right on cue comes Tea Party founder Mark Williams putting his webbed foot in his mouth and proving the NAACP's point behind the resolution passed at their convention Tuesday.

He posted this 'open letter' to Abraham Lincoln on his website, which Keith Olbermann and other peeps in the blogosphere called his azz on. Thanks to the Reid Report blog, we also have a copy of the letter and a screenshot of it just in case Mark Williams belatedly realizes just how badly he just fracked up and takes it down.

And now, presenting Mark's July 16 post from his own blog entitled, 'Colored People Change minds About Emancipation'

Dear Mr. Lincoln

We Coloreds have taken a vote and decided that we don’t cotton to that whole emancipation thing. Freedom means having to work for real, think for ourselves, and take consequences along with the rewards. That is just far too much to ask of us Colored People and we demand that it stop!

In fact we held a big meeting and took a vote in Kansas City this week. We voted to condemn a political revival of that old abolitionist spirit called the ‘tea party movement’.

The tea party position to “end the bailouts” for example is just silly. Bailouts are just big money welfare and isn’t that what we want all Coloreds to strive for? What kind of racist would want to end big money welfare? What they need to do is start handing the bail outs directly to us coloreds! Of course, the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People is the only responsible party that should be granted the right to disperse the funds.

And the ridiculous idea of “reduce[ing] the size and intrusiveness of government.” What kind of massa would ever not want to control my life? As Coloreds we must have somebody care for us otherwise we would be on our own, have to think for ourselves and make decisions!

The racist tea parties also demand that the government “stop the out of control spending.” Again, they directly target coloreds. That means we Coloreds would have to compete for jobs like everybody else and that is just not right.

Perhaps the most racist point of all in the tea parties is their demand that government “stop raising our taxes.” That is outrageous! How will we coloreds ever get a wide screen TV in every room if non-coloreds get to keep what they earn? Totally racist! The tea party expects coloreds to be productive members of society?

Mr. Lincoln, you were the greatest racist ever. We had a great gig. Three squares, room and board, all our decisions made by the massa in the house. Please repeal the 13th and 14th Amendments and let us get back to where we belong.

Sincerely

Precious Ben Jealous, Tom’s Nephew NAACP Head Colored Person

QuacKKK, QuacKKK, QuacKKK, Mark.

That was just so hilarious. Next time why don't you do it in blackface?

The more y'all flap your gums, the more the NAACP is proven right and the more your stock plummets amongst reality based white Americans and other people of good will who deplore your race baiting tactics.

And thank you for taking the hoods off and revealing the true nature of the 18% of you in that Astroturfed movement who proudly claim Tea Klux Klan membership.

Stop Spinning Negro Conservafools-The Teabaggers Are STILL Racist

The Tea Party peeps have a major image problem thanks to their nekulturny behavior and the fact their movement is as white as a Republican party convention.

In addition, they have views and have acted in ways that put them in alignment with people who like to wear white pointed hoods on the weekends or play domestic terrorist soldier while spouting pseudo christian rhetoric or anti government slogans.

In their recent charm offensive they tried to deploy their Negro auxiliaries to make the ludicrous case to the media and people of color that 'they aren't racists'.

Well, those signs y'all carry at the Tea Klux Klan rallies say otherwise.

The charge has been led by Oreo Barbie, oops Angela McGlowan, who is currently running for Congress in Mississippi's 1st District in a three way Republican primary.

It's "not about a black or white issue, it's not even about Republican or Democrat, from my standpoint. All of us are taxed too much."

Angela, you're not on Fox News anymore. Out of 30 OCED ranked nations, the USA ranks 28th in terms of tax burden on a one income married couple with two kids. Go peddle that manure somewhere else.

And oh yeah Miss Thang, the Field Negro is still patiently waiting for you in Philly to debate him.

If that wasn't enough, Bigot Harry Jackson (he doesn't get or deserve from me the respect of calling him Bishop) came out of hibernation from the pimp slapping he got in the DC marriage battle and tried to spin for Teabagger Nation.

In a recent column titled "Is Brewing Tea Dangerous?", Jackson suggested that what the Tea Partiers need is a full-blown PR-directed makeover.

Jackson offered up a tablespoon of advice to the Tea Party movement: Clean up your image. "Now that you know how you are perceived [by the media], what are you going to do"?, Jackson asked.

Give it up conservanegroes. We've already peeped the Teabagger game. They are just Obama 'Two Minute Hate' rallies disguised as anti-tax protests.

And no amount of spin from you Oreo cookie chompers can dissuade us from thinking otherwise.
