Shut Up Fool Awards- The Last Fool Of 2017 Edition

We are in the 52nd week of 2017, which means that New Year's Eve is happening this weekend.

That also means I'll be announcing the 2017 TransGriot Shut Up Fool of the Year from a slate of deserving fools.   You'll know before you hit the streets to do your New Year's Eve partying.

But before I handle that business, there's the matter of since today is Friday deciding who gets the last weekly Shut Up Fool award of 2017. 

Honorable mention number one is Donald Trump.   The two time SUF of the Year had to remind me he was still an idiot by trying to pimp the lie he got everyone to say 'Merry Christmas'  again.

Honorable mention number two is Indiana state Rep Milo Smith (R) who filed a bill that would force the Indianapolis Colts give refunds to fans through the end of the first quarters of games if Colts players do a take a knee protest during the national anthem.

Note to Milo.  Compelling allegiance to a flag or an anthem is not patriotic, it's tyranny

honorable mention number three is Mike Huckabee, who tried to compare Trump to Winston Churchill and got torched by the Twitterverse for it.

Honorable mention number four is Roy Moore for not only continuing to be a sore loser, but claiming he lost due to 'voter fraud'.

Dude, you lost by over 20,000 votes, and until your party does something that helps African Americans, we will continue to vote against your azzes at a 98% clip.

This week's LAST SUF winner for 2017 will stay in Texas, and it's Republican gubernatorial candidate Larry Kilgore.

Kilgore after getting 1.4% o the vote in the TX GOP gubernatorial primary in 2014, is running again in 2018. 
He's ramping up the anti-TBLGQ extremism in this run, and recently posted on his Twitter feed that gays, adulterers and people who engage in bestiality should be executed.

Hate thoughts plus hate speech = hate violence and murders.  .
His platform also includes the abolition of public schools, ending welfare and Social Security and abolishing public prisons to replace them with executions and public shaming.

Like is said.  Kilgore doesn't need to spend one nanosecond in office.   But the haters in the  Texas Republican Party base will probably eat that up.

This is one fool that definitely needs to not only shut up, but not see on nanosecond in any elective office.

TransGriot 2017 Shut Up Fool of the Year Award Finalists

In just seven days we will move on to 2018, so that means it's almost time for me to select the fool,fools or group of fools who will earn the coveted TransGriot Shut Up Fool of the Year Award.

This was the list of 2017 SUF of the Year contenders back in June.

Since 2009, every New Year's Eve I close out the year by selecting the person or person who excelled in exhibiling over the top levels of ignorance, showed Olympian levels of arrogance, and WTF levels of hypocrisy and did so for the entire year.

The inaugural winner of the 2009 Shut Up Fool of the Year Award was then RNC chair Michael Steele   He was followed by Sarah Palin in 2010.   Herman Cain snagged the honor over some stiff competition in 2011 followed by runaway 2012 winner Mitt Romney.

In 2013 the junior senator from Alberta, Ted Cruz made a late run to snag the 2013 Shut Up Fool of The Year honors.   The 2014 Shut Up Fool of the Year award stayed in Texas with Rep. Louie Gohmert getting it over some stiff competition   In 2015, it was Donald Trump , followed by him becoming the first ever repeat SUF of the Year winner in 2016.

And now here are the finalists for the 2017 Shut Up Fool of the Year Award.    I was going to do just five, but it was just too many idiots to leave out this year.

Texas Lt Governor Dan Patrick is on the list, along with White House Press Secretary Minister of Propaganda Sarah Huckabee Sanders, and former VA Del. Bigot Bob Marshall.

Sean Hannity,. Sen  Mitch McConnell   Jill Stein, Susan Sarandon,  everyone in the TBLGQ community that voted for Trump, Harvey Weinstein,  Roy Moore,  a group nomination for white fundamentalists, Gen. John Kelly,  Omarosa, Paris Dennard., the TERF's,   Kellyanne Conway, Betsy DeVos, Jonathan Saenz, Dave Welch, Steven Hotze,  Rep. Paul Ryan, Milo Yiannopoulos,  Rep. Vicky Hartzler, a group award for the transphobic Catholic bishops, Tony Perkins, Rep. Blake Farenthold, Rep Steve King , Rep. Louie Gohmert,    

And oh yeas, in the bid for the unprecedented SUF of the Year threepeat,  Donald Trump.

Shut Up Fool Awards - The Friday Before Christmas Edition

It's the Friday before Christmas day and the next to the last Friday in 2017   I'm so ready to move on from this year that  2018 can't get here fast enough.

I'm announcing who the five finalists are for the 2017 TransGriot Shut Up Fool Of The Year on Christmas Day, and you can actually vote for who should win it on my Twitter feed.

Speaking of fools, let's get to who should be this week's winner

Honorable mention number one to Donald Trump for just pick an outrage.

Honorable mention number two is Roy Moore for being a sore loser, not coming to grips with the fact he lost, and blaming everyone but himself for it.

Honorable mention number three is Nikki Haley, who thought she could bully very other UN nations to not vote on the resolution condemning Trump's declaration of Jerusalem as Israel's capital and massively failed.   

Honorable mention number four is Jill Stein.    Moscow Jill actually blamed 'Clinton Democrats' for her azz being investigated for her trip to Moscow in which she was sitting at a table with Vladimir Putin , Michael Flynn and a few peeps.   Naw boo boo kitty.  I you really wanna know who is to blame, look in your mirror.

Jill, you really need to shut the hell up, you've done enough damage to our country 

Honorable mention number five is a group award for the Republican Congress, who passed their Reagan Hood tax bill that robs from the poor and middle class to give a tax cut to that just like in the 1980's and the early 2000's, they'll hoard and it won't create anything but another deficit that the next Democratic president will have to clean the mess from.

This week's SUF winner is Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME) who fell for the okey doke from Mitch McConnell, voted for the tax scam, and is now butthurt because her constituents are tearing her a new anus behind her vote. 

You could have stopped this madness, but you chose to be a Profile in Cowardice and vote for it. 
So naw boo boo kitty, pull up the big girl panties and get all the derision you deserve for your vote that proves once again, white women's loyalty is to white supremacy., not doing what's right for the country.

Shut Up Fool Awards- Ten Days Until Christmas Edition

We're now just ten days away from Christmas Day, and I already received one of my Christmas presents early in Doug Jones being the senator elect from Alabama.

It's also Friday, and time to handle my usual Friday blog business of calling this week's fool out. 

Just an FYI, surf by TransGriot on New Year's Eve to find out who the 2017 Shut Up Fool of the Year will be.   Yeah, I could give it to 2015-16 SUF of the Year winner Donald Trump for the third straight year, but I need to give it to someone else, and you can nominate deserving fools who should receive this distinguished award until December 25.

It's Friday so without further delay or jibber jabber it time to get to this week's Shut Up Fool Award weekly winner. 

Honorable mention number one is FCC Azzhole Chairman Ajit Pai, who along with two other Republicans voted to repeal Net Neutrality, then mocked people to which this subject is near and dear to their hearts in a video  .



Honorable mention number two is Kevin Swanson, who blamed Roy Moore's loos on Alabama voters reluctant to give up their porn 

Any excuse will do when you right wing white evilgelicals lose, huh?

Honorable mention number three is Stacey Dash.  After spending all of last year being paid by FOX Noise to diss Black people until her azz got fired in January, now dash is trying to get her Black card back by appearing in a movie produced by her cousin Damon, a fact that   


Honorable mention number four is our old friend and kneegrow sellout Jesse Lee Peterson, who had the nerve to let pass through his lips on his radio show that Alabama Black folks 'don't believe in God' because they overwhelmingly voted for Doug Jones. 

Just an FYI Jesse:  95% of Alabama Black evangelicals voted for Jones.

Conservakneegrow please!   You spent too much time on that Alabama plantation as a child and are definitely in the NOT WOKE category.  Have a whole section of seats at the LA Coliseum for saying something that gobsmackingly stupid. 

Honorable mention number five is Roy Moore, for not only being a sore lose for refusing to concede to Jones, but blaming TBLGQ people everybody but his pedophile racist self for his loss. 

This week's winner in a close race is Omarosa Manigault Newman

Omarosa resigned got fired from her cushy six figure White House job cooning it up for Trump to the gleeful cheers of Black America.   

She went on Good Morning America and made the mistake of trying to pick a fight with Robin Roberts, who has whipped cancer's azz twice and definitely ain't 'scurred;' of you. 

She also tried to tell the lie that she was only trying to help the Black Community by joining the Trump misadministration.   Tramp the only Black person you helped with that move was yourself.

Also what 'Black Woman Civil War' are you talking about Boo Boo Kitty?   98% of Black women aren't Republicans, and don't like your behind as Angela Rye gleefully demonstrated.  . 

Neither did they sell out our community like you did. 

So sit your azz down and shut the hell up , fool 

Shut Up Fool Awards- Houston Snow 2017 Edition

At least once every decade, the Houston area will have one day in which we get some snowfall.   It's not as rare as you think.  It has snowed 35 times in Houston since the all time record Houston blizzard of 1895 in which we received the still record 20 inches of snow

Yes, we get snow in Houston from time to time.   Sometimes it's just a light dusting, while other times it can be several inches like it was during my first Houston snowfall event in January 1973.  Sometimes it's just in the northern suburbs, and other times it encompasses the entire area.

The 'burbs got the measurable snow this time, while in my southside neighborhood we got a light dusting.   The flakes started coming down around 10 PM last night but weren't sticking.   I awoke to snow covered roofs and cars before the rapidly warming temps melted it.  We hit 49 degrees (9 C) for a high temp today but the clear skies guarantee we will hit the freezing mark or close to it again tonight.

So let's segue to our usual Friday business of calling out fools, who are sadly more frequent that Houston snowfall.   Tim for this week's edition of the TransGriot Shut Up Fool Awards.

Honorable mention number one is the Guiding Light Church in Birmingham, AL for coonery above and beyond the call of duty that earns them an Uncle Ruckus Award .  These kneegrows invited Roy Moore, an enemy of our people, to speak at their church.

Honorable mention number two goes to Tomi Lahren, who learned that of you mess with Beyonce, you'll get stung by the Beyhive.

Honorable mention number three to Time Magazine for decalring the #MeToo movement the Persons of the Year, but instead of having the creator of it Tarana Burke on the cover put Taylor Swift's fauxgressive azz on it.

Honorable mention number four is former Colorado GOP chairman Steve Curtis, who got busted actually doing what they accuse Democratic voters of doing in every election cycle. 

He got busted for and convicted of forgery and election fraud. 

This week's Shut Up Fool Award winner is the editorial board of the Chicago Tribune for their idiotic swastika cake analogy in this editorial  to justify discrimination against TBLGQ Americans

Really people? 

Y'all need to stop with the repeated attempt in white run media trying to put positive spin on the ridiculous concept of allowing fundies to discriminate against people they don't like. 

Because if in your minds it's okay for fudies to discriminate against TBLGQ people, then it will okay for the nation of Islam to discriminate against you for being in their eyes and in their religious beliefs 'white devils'

Shut Up Fool Awards- Trump Christmas Fail Edition

It's December 1, which means that we have 30 more days after today left in this somewhat crappy year.  This is also the first Christmas of this misadministration, and they are already failing 'bigly' in ending the 'War on Christmas'.

The White House Christmas tree lighting ceremony is usually a sought after standing room only sold out event.   Not this year.   Plenty of empty seats. 

Once again, the difference between a beloved  POTUS and a hated one. 

But enough jibber jabber.  Time to get to this week's TransGriot Shut Up Fool Award winner.

Honorable mention number two is Angela Lansbury, who stated that women must sometime take the blame for sexual harassment.

Honorable mention number three is Tom McBroom, for making the racist Twitter comment that Diamond Reynold, the fiance of Philando Castile who recently received an $800,000 settlement, would 'blow the money on crack cocaine'

How about you and your fellow white supremacists with badges learn how to treat Black citizens with dignity and respect, and you won';t have to waste the taxpayer's money paying out huge settlements? .

Honorable mention number four  is White House Press Secretary Minister of Propaganda Sarah Huckabee Sanders. for the nauseating daily exercises in spin, outright lies and denials of reality.

This week's Shut Up Fool Winner is Susan Sarandon, the Bernie babe who continues to make a fauxgressive azz of herself with her over the top Hillary hate by stating that the country would already be at war if Hillary Clinton were president and her administration would be just as chaotic as Trump's.

Naw boo boo kitty, don't even try it.   And you and Jill Stein need to stop taking whatever mind altering drugs you're on.

A Hillary Clinton administration wouldn't have named Betsy DeVos as her education secretary or been colluding with Russia.

Shut Up Fool Awards- 2017 Post Turkey Day Edition

Know some of you like I am are still feasting on your Thanksgiving leftovers or were out and about trying to take advantage of the post Thanksgiving Day sales./

I know I want to hit some more turkey, but first I need to handle my Friday TransGriot Shut Up Fool Awards business and carve up some jive turkeys.

And this week I'm going to make it short sweet and to the point.

This week's winner is a group award for the Republican Majority leadership in the Virginia House of Delegates. 

Seems as though Del-Elect Danica Roem taking out their self proclaimed' homophobe in chief' Bigot Bob Marshall to become the first out trans person elected to that chamber, has still got them shook up and looking for ways to try to insult her without looking like the transphobic azzholes they really are.

For hundreds of years, the Virginia House of Delegates have addressed each other in the chamber as 'Gentleman' or Gentlewoman'   Now when the new session starts they will refer to all members as 'Delegates' 

Yeah, y'all ain't slick.  We know why you are making this change, and it isn't because you wish to respectfully use gender neutral language.    You are doing this, because you don't want to refer to Del-Elect Roem as 'The Gentlewoman from Prince William'

Roem as usual, was classier than her GOP opponents.  “What matters the most to the people of the 13th District is that the woman they elected to serve them will be working on their behalf,” she said.

"I will be the delegate from Prince Williams, and I will conduct myself as the gentlewoman from Prince William while I am in Richmond and in any other official capacity in which I serve.".  

We see you VA GOP transphobes.  And I have something yo call you:  transphobic fools

Shut Up Fool Awards- Carol Moseley Braun US Senate Election Anniversary Edition

It was on the date in 1992 that Carol Moseley Braun became the first African American woman and the first Black Democrat of any gender elected to the US Senate, representing the state of Illinois.

She unfortunately only got to serve one six year Senate term, and it took until 2016 to have our Second African American female senator elected in the person of Kamala Harris.

It's also Friday, and y'all know what that means.  It's time for me to call out so fools for this week's edition of the TransGriot Shut Up Fool Awards.

Honorable mention number one goes to White House Press Secretary Minister of Propaganda  Sarah Suckabee Huckabee Sanders just for walking into the White House press room and bald face lying every day 

Honorable mention number two is Donald Trump for just pick an outrage.

Honorable mention number three is John 'Papa John' Schnatter, who made the ridiculously racist comment that Black NFL players protesting during the national anthem for social justice are responsible for his sagging pizza sales.

Naw boo boo, look in the mirror as for who the guilty party is as to why nobody's buying your crappy pizza.   You're only the latest fool to learn that supporting Trump is bad for business and your career.

Honorable mention number four is a joint one for Donna Brazile , Elizabeth Warren and the Berners. 

Brazile falsely accused Clinton of once again 'rigging' the  2016 Democratic Primary.   Elizabeth Warren then threw Hillary under the bus by co-signing the statement , that caused drama in the left wing blogosphere all day as Berners seized on the remark and call a woman that they racistly attacked last year a hero/

Now all of them are silent because the comment was debunked.   All this unnecessary drama because one person want to spice up her book sales, one wants to pander to the Berners, and the Berners still wanna hate on Hillary and anyone who dares call out St Bernard of Sanders their lord and political savior and points out the inconvenient for them truth he sucked as a candidate.

News flash to the Berner wing.  Bernie STILL lost to Hillary, and no conspiracy theory you can come up with will change that 2016 primary result.

Now can we get along and move on to the 2018  midterm elections and do the work that reality based America is counting on us to do? 

This week's Shut Up Fool winner in a week crowded with contenders for the honor is Energy Secretary Rick Perry.

Perry embarrassed himself and Aggies everywhere by saying that increased use of fossil fuels can prevent sexual assault and the jury is out on the science behind climate change..

Ugh, my head hurts just even trying to quantify and make sense of the massive level of willful ignorance and WTF level stupidity that went into those statements.

Shut Up Fool Awards- Happy Halloween Weekend 2017 Edition

It's Halloween weekend!   Even though it doesn't happen until Tuesday, there will be a lot of peeps celebrating it all weekend by hitting a costume party near them of taking the kids out in search of Halloween candy

This halloween we got a months long trick in the White House in terms of two time SUF Fool of the Year Donald Trump along with his real life horror movie of an administration.

I'm getting depressed just writing about about it.

Thi week's fool is Houston Texans owner Bob McNair. 

He let his inner slaveowner loose during a closed door session between the owners and team executives during the recent NFL meetings discussing the ongoing take a knee protests that are still happening and pissing off conservafools like him and Jerry Jones. 

He made the jaw droppingly racist comment "we can't have the inmates running the prison" in referring to the #TakeAKnee protest now spreading to other leagues like the NHL, Major League Baseball, and crossing The Pond to the Bundesliga that incensed NFL executive and former player Troy Vincent.

He release the statement apologizing for his now gone viral comments, but I'm pissed about them along with every other social justice minded Texan fan.

Shut Up Fool Awards- Happy Birthday Sen. Kamala Harris Edition

Today is the 53rd birthday of Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA)  I have much love and  respect for her (even if the Berners don't) because she is being considered as one of the people who could be a possible 2020 Democratic nominee for president.

And the GOP is 'scurred' of her.  They felt so threatened by her they sent Karl Rove to Cali in 2010 and spent a bunch of money to try and fail to keep her from winning her first term as California AG

#Kamala2020?    We'll see how that plays out. 

Today is also Friday, and y'all know what happens on this day/  I get to call out some fools.

I'm not even teasing you with honorable mention picks, I'm going straight to the WTF idiocy.

This week I'm calling out that spawn of Satan Tony Perkins, the head of the Family Research Council. 

In a week in which we are discussing sexual assault, he's blaming men harassing women on get this, allowing transgender, bi, lesbian and gay Americans to serve in our military.

I can't with this idiocy.

He spends far too much time focused on bedrooms and who does what in them.   You got something to hide?   You know what they say about those who doth protesteth too much.

Shut Up Fool Awards- Gender Infinity 2017 Edition

At this moment I'm on the University of Houston campus (Go Coogs!) attending the sixth annual Gender Infinity Conference and getting my learn on.   Hey if you want to stay on top of the advocacy game, it involves constantly expanding your knowledge base.

Tomorrow is my heavy life day in which I get to teach my Texas Trans History seminar and take part in two other panels to close it out.    And hope they are planning to do the bowling party at Cougar Lanes for the trans kids .

And yeah, yeah quite aware of the fact today is Friday, and time for me to call out this week's fool

But first, let's start with the honorable mention peeps who were shining examples of the sadly infinite levels of idiocy, hypocrisy and WTF level commentary

Honorable mention number one is the group award for 45 and his misadministration.

Honorable mention number two is Kentucky governor Matt Bevin (R), who seems to have marijuana confused with the crystal meth and opioid problem plaguing the Bluegrass States and thinks that you can overdose on marijuana. 

The only overdoses that will happen if they legalize the sale of pot there is people overdosing on Kentucky Fried Chicken and naps

This week's loser winner wasn't 45, but said something just as jaw dropping ignorant and stupid

This week's SUF winner is Mike Ditka, who parted his like to say something conservastupid in claiming that 'there has been 'no oppression that he knows of in the last 100 years'

And yeah, Iron Mike, it';s obvious like all conservative white men, you not only haven't been paying attention, you refuse to see or acknowledge there's a problem.

Dude, since 1917, which would cover the 100 years you claim there has been 'no oppression of Black people, we had Jim Crow segregation, too numerous to count race riots, over 8000 lynchings, the Civil Rights Movement happen and far too numerous cases of police brutality aimed at African Americans.

Is that enough oppression for you vanillacentric privileged azz, or do i need to pull out more evidence predating 1917 for you?

30th Anniversary Of 'A Different World''s Debut

September 24 will mark the 30th anniversary of the debut of the iconic show 'A Different World' that broadcast its first of over 100 episodes over six years in 1987.

And you longtime TransGriot readers know I love the show so much I've done A Different World anniversary quiz posts that you can try your luck at here, here and here.    I even wrote a post imaging what an  A Different World reboot set in this 2K10decade would be like.

The spinoff of The Cosby Show that was supposed to chronicles Denise Huxtable's journey through her parent's fictional HBCU alma mater Hillman College after it's not well liked first season was retooled by new produced Debbie Allen into a realistic portrayal of HBCU campus life that tackled the issues roiling campuses in the late 1980's and early 90's from South African divestment, fraternity and sorority pledging, date rape, HIV-AIDS, racism to Desert Storm and the LA Riots.

Oh yeah, there was also a romance and marriage that developed between bougie diva Whitley Gilbert and nerdy genius Dwayne Wayne that basically became the relationship goal standard for Black couples

And we can't forget the other characters that wandered Hillman's campus such as Ron Johnson, dorm director and coach Walter Oakes, Jaleesa Vinson, Freddie Brooks, Lena James, Dorian Haywood and faculty like Colonel Bradford Taylor and Dean Dorthy Dandridge Davenport.

Mr. Gaines represents those elders you meet along the way that give you advice and that gentle push you need at just the right time to get you going in the right direction.

A Different World is still beloved 30 years after its initial episode was broadcast on NBC.  It is also credited with a major spike in HBCU enrollments during and after its broadcast run from 1987-1993

And because of its success, more shows featuring African American casts followed.

Shut Up Fool Awards- Irma's Tearing Stuff Up Edition

Having recently gotten through a hurricane strike of my own in Harvey wreaking havoc on Houston and the upper Texas coastline, my heart and prayers go out to the people in the Caribbean, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands and the Florida Atlantic coast who are either getting whacked by Irma's Cat 5 self or about to by this weekend.

But it's Friday, and it's time to whack stupidity, blow away hypocrisy, and just say no to what the hell idiocy.   It's time for this week's edition of the TransGriot Shut Up Fool Awards.

Honorable mention number one is just pick a Trump Administration outrage or fool within it, starting with 45 himself.

Honorable mention number two is Maria Sharapova, who has been flapping her gums about Serena while she's busy handling her mommy business claiming she's responsible for making Serena the Greatest of All TIme.  

Really?  You're 2-19 lifetime against Serena and you couldn't beat her even on steroids, so shut your azz up comrade and have several seats

Honorable mention number three is all The Berners who still believe the Dem primary was 'rigged' and that Bernie would have beaten Trump in a general election.

You peeps repeating the lie you heard on RussiaLeaks is not only disrespectful to the Black Democrats who voted in large numbers for Clinton, it's racist, too.  News flash, Black voters ain't feeling Bernie Sanders, and the negative feelings we have for your Lord and Political Saviour have only gotten more intense since November 2016

And Sanders couldn't even beat Clinton, who you also claim was a 'poor candidate'.  Yeah, she was such an awful candidate she faced unprecedented sexism and misogyny, a media spreading smears about her, Russian interference, Stein and Johnson pulling voters from her and she still nearly won the presidency  

Honorable mention number four is Doctor Who writer Gareth Roberts (no relation to me, thank God) , who let his transphobic flag fly earlier this week and tried to hold up being gay as a shield against his transphobic tirade.

Not today, transphobic Satan.   Hope some Daleks cart your azz off to deep space to exterminate your transphobic tendencies

Honorable mention number five is Philadelphia Police Officer's Union President John McNesby, who parted his lips to call Black Lives Matter ' a pack of animals' during a 'Blue Lives matter' rally but defended an officer wearing a Nazi tattoo.

This fool and limousine driving Green Tea Party revolutionary had the nerve to tweet support to the DREAMers after 45 revoked DACA, and decry it as a terrible decision.  

Well the terrible decision you made in supporting Jill "I dine with Vladimir Putin' Stein who had zero chance of winning the presidency greased the skids for the DACA repeal.

The Twitterverse justifiably dragged her azz and called her out for her WTF level idiocy

Shut Up Fool Awards- Comic Con 2017 Edition

As y'all know I'm out here in San Diego for my first ever Comic Con, and what a way to kick off your first ever visit to this megaconvention by doing a panel discussion.

The plan was for me not to think about or discuss Texas politics while I was out here, but that died the nanosecond the GOP controlled Texas Senate decided to have their hearings on their unjust anti-trans bills.

So I going to enjoy the conference and the weather, and handle my Friday business of calling some fools out before I hop on the shuttle bus o take me to the Convention Center from the hotel.

It's time for this week's Shut Up Fool Awards!

Honorable mention number one is  a group award for Cheetolini and the Trump misadministration for pick an outrage  

Honorable mention number two is the Texas GOP for trying to ram discrimination down the Texas trans community's throats.

Honorable mention number three is the woman that Faith and I encountered at SDCC yesterday we caught in blackface, accompanied by Klingons in blackface.  She tried goalpost shifting justifications that ranged from being a fan of Star Trek, of Whoopi Goldberg, claiming she was 'representing and honoring Black women' because we weren't here at Comic Con, and a few other BS reasons I'll talk about in a later post.

Honorable mention number four is Sean Spicer, who is resigning today as WH press secretary

Honorable mention number five is Texas senator Lois Kolkhorst, the go to trans oppressor

This week's Shut Up Fool winner is Caitlyn Jenner.

This week she claimed she had the ear of the Trump misadministration on trans issues, and is now contemplating a run for the US senate against Sen. Dianne Feinstein..  

But what's got a lot of people fired up is her posing with Steven Tyler of Aerosmith and joking that 'she's working on a duet with him' to sing the transphobic song 'Dude Looks Like A Lady' and calling it her theme song.

Really?

Shut Up Fool Awards- Happy 150th Birthday Canada Edition

Tomorrow is July 1 and Canada Day,  in which our neighbor to our north will be celebrating its 150th birthday.  

And as those celebrations happen across their home and native land trans Canadians will be doing ao with the knowledge that their human rights are protected in Canadian federal law and in the laws of all Canadian provinces and territories.

I can talk about that later, but have to get to this week's Friday business of calling out the fool, fools or fools that are everywhere.

Honorable mention number one is Canadian Senator Don Plett (Conservative-AB) who fought C-16 and pimped anti-trans slurs to do so.  

Honorable mention number two is a group award for the REAL Women of Canada, the transphobic kissing cousins to the TERF's and right wing Republicans.

Honorable mention number three is Rep. Pete Olson (R-TX)  Olson continued the GOP War on Women by attacking the ACA mandate that requires that prenatal and maternity issues be covered. 

Honorable mention number four is Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) who keeps trying to push Trumpcare on this country when millions of people and members of his own caucus are telling him they don't want it .

Honorable mention number five is deputy press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders.   The daughter of Mike Huckabee tried to claim in a recent propaganda dissemination session press conference that Donald Trump has never incited violence.

Yeah, right.  

Honorable mention number six is Kellyanne Conway.  Propaganda Barbie continues to make an azz out of herself by claiming she's happy with the way Dear Cheeto Leader treats women, questioning the media's patriotism, and other assorted gems this week.

This week's Shut Up Fool winner is Rep. Vicky Hartzler (R-MO) who is Exhibit A of what I talk about when I say the most dangerous transphobe is one that has legislative power.

Hartzler compared transgender service members to Vladimir Putin, ISIS and North Korea, and then backed up that idiotic her anti-trans rhetoric by introducing and later withdrawing an amendment that would have banned transpeople from serving in the military

We already have over 15,000 trans people in all branches of the US Armed forces proudly serving our country and more who would like to do do despite your party's  unhinged resistance to the idea.

Vicky, trans people aren't a danger to the United States.   It's ignorant transphobic people like you who are.   And you're even more dangerous to our country because you are a fool with the power tot write legislation

Shut Up Fool Awards- It's Juneteenth Weekend 2017 Edition

Sunday will be Father's Day, and shoutout to all the dads and father figures in our community, especially the Papa Bears.   But this is also Juneteenth weekend, which will happen on Monday

Juneteenth is the 1865 day that Union Major General Gordon Granger read General Order No. 2 from the balcony of Galveston's Ashton Villa and declared that all Texas slaves were free.

That June 19 day starting in 1866 became known as Juneteenth, and was celebrated by Black Texans with picnics, parades and church services.   It became a tradition that Black Texans took with them wherever they migrated, and thanks to the efforts of former Texas state rep Al Edwards (D-Houston), became an official state holiday in 1980.

We now approach another Juneteenth weekend.and while we take time to celebrate our emancipation, we are also doing so as the spectre of a Texas legislative special session that will be a 30 day extra time assault on the human rights of all Texans is plotted by the Republican majority.

I'll finish that though in another post.

It's also Friday, so it's time to handle my usual business of calling out the fool, fools or group of fools who engaged in WTF levels of hypocrisy, blatant arrogance and hubris, and shake your head levels of unabashed stupidity

Honorable mention number one is a group award for every conservafool who tried to via conservative media blame the shooting of Steve Scalise and other Republicans on liberals.

Y'all were the ones who for years have been calling for 'Second Amendment remedies' in your campaign rhetoric, and now you mad because somebody executed a Second Amendment remedy on one of your Klan in Steve 'I'm David Duke without the Baggage' Scalise. .  

Miss me with that conservafool toro poo poo.

And once again conservative movement, when will y'all condemn white on white crime and violence?

Honorable mention number two we go north of the border for and give a group award to Canadian conservative senator and transphobe Don Plett and his like minded bigots.    Their efforts to delay and smear the Trans Rights Bill finally failed, and after 12 years, they are royal assent away from having their humanity and human rights covered under Canadian federal law.

Honorable mention number three is our confederate AG Jefferson Beauregard Sessions, for being scurred of Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) asking him tough question during his Senate hearing he was lying at again.

Honorable mention number four is Waddie G for this transphobic article he aimed at Janet Mock.

Yo you ignorant transphobic waste of DNA, maybe your feeble mind isn't cognizant of the fact that Kerry Washington played a trans woman in Life Is Hot In Cracktown,  and she's one of our community's staunch allies along with Cecile Richards.

This is why I hate Black gossip blogs and especially ones with ignorant founding editors (Sandra Rose) that traffic in transphobia to generate traffic.    This is also another concrete example of the transphobic ignorance bandied about in the Black gossip blogosphere and in the Black community that leads to Black trans women getting assaulted and killed, and it needs to stop.

We have lost 13 trans women to anti-trans violence, with 12 of them being Black trans women.  It's transphobic hate speech like this that leads to anti-trans hate assaults and murders, and you need to check yourself Waddie G.,

This week's Shut Up Fool Winner is  for the second consecutive week, TX Gov Greg Abbott (R)

He signed HB 3859, which allows taxpayer funded adoption agencies to on religious grounds discriminate in terms of placing kids in LGBT families or with unmarried couples.


Once again, this idiot is pandering to his right wing base in advance of next year's gubernatorial elections, and wasting Texas taxpayer dollars in a court fight we're going to lose because of this bull feces laden law.

Shut Up Fool Awards-First One In June Edition

With the flipping of the calendar page to June we're now halfway through 2017, and this year has already seemed to have dragged on for six centuries instead of the 153 days in real time since New Year's Day that have already passed.

And since this is the first Friday of June, y'all know what that means.   It's time for this week's edition of the TransGriot Shut up Fool Awards.

Let's start with our honorable mentions.

Honorable mention number one is a blanket award for the Trump misadministration for pick an outrage.

Honorable mention number two is Texas Lt Governor Dan Patrick.   He's not only trying to bully the governor into calling an anti-trans special session, he shut the senate gallery down to ensure that SB 4 Memorial Day protesters didn't let him and his Texas GOP senate oppressors hear how displeased we are about the unjust and racist SB 4.

Honorable mention number three si CNN serial liar Jeffrey Lord who got his azz handed to him this week by Jennifer Granholm, Robert Reich and claimed that Jared Kushner is the 'Robert Kennedy of the Trump administration'.

Ugh.  GOP White male mediocrity and ignorance on full display again.

Honorable mention number four is Ivanka Trump.   She put out this tweet alleging her support for the LGBTQ community since yesterday marked the start of Pride Month and is getting ripped a new anus for it.

Naw boo boo kitty, like father like daughter.   You traffic in the illusion of inclusion.   If you were really a supporter of this community you wouldn't be sitting silently as your father attacks trans kids, the gay peeps in Chechnya are being rounded up and sent to camps and anti-gay rhetoric and actions reign supreme in you daddy's misadministration .

Honorable mention number five is Kentucky governor Matt Bevin (R), who said that the answer to a rising murder rate is to 'pray it away'.

Yeah, I pray that the good people of Kentucky will only have to suffer one term of your GOP idiocy in the Governor's mansion.

This week's Shut Up Fool Awards loser winner is Texas state Rep. Matt Rinaldi (R-Irving).

Rinaldi, who is a member of the far right wing Texas Freedom Oppressor Caucus, won this week's award with his actions on Monday as the sine die Memorial Day weekend protests coordinated by United We Dream activists erupted in the House chamber.

He not only called ICE on the House protesters that I was observing and called them 'un American,
 but also threatened to shoot another Latino House colleague in the head and then tried to spin it as 'they attacked him.'

Ah the fragile GOP white male ego and its incredible capacity for self deception.   Hey if you don't want protests in the House gallery, don't pass unjust, racist  and oppressive laws that will piss people off. .

Rinaldi's threat to call ICE probably handed the expanding coalition of folks and orgs opposing SB 4 the legal ammo they needed to prove in federal court the Texas Lege when they passed the unjust bill did so with 'discriminatory intent'.

Rinaldi is a prime example of what I've been saying in that the most dangerous bigot is the one with legislative power.

He only won his Texas House seat last year by 500 votes, and guess he forgot that Irving is now 40% Latinx.  His office was hit with protests two days later, and he is probably going to be electorally targeted next November.

Sucks to be you.   See you at the ballot box in November 2018 when we work to make you an EX state rep

Shut Up Fool Awards- Memorial Day 2017 Weekend Edition

We are rapidly heading toward the halfway point of 2017 and this has already been a trying year for many of us, especially in Texas.

Memorial Day is Monday, and in addition to serving as a day in which we remember all the people who died while serving in the US armed forces,  the long weekend off for this federal holiday serves as the unofficial kickoff to the summer season.

So let's get right to our Friday Shut Up Fool Awards business and announce who this week's fool is.

It's a group award for the Texas Republican Party.  Instead of spending our valuable legislative time on passing a state budget and fixing our problem filled foster care system. the Texas GOP House and Senate majority have wasted far too much of it on attack the Texas TBLGQ community

With the sine die day fast approaching, the Texas GOP oppressors on Discrimination Sunday ramrodded two discriminatory bills through on party line votes as Texas trans kids and their parents watched from the gallery, and Sen Lois Kolkhorst tried to attach her killed SV 6 trans hate bill to another piece of  unrelated legislation

But according to y'all, it's not about discriminating against the Texas LGBTQ community and Texas transgender people.   Sell them woof tickets and lies to your base.   We ain't buying that transphobic and homophobic nonsense.

You're also the reason why we haven't had nice things in the Lone Star State since this woman left the governor's mansion in 1994.

And yeah, #Y'allMeansAll, and  we TBLGQ Texans vote.   See y'all at the polls on November 6, 2018.

Shut Up Fool Awards- It's Mother's Day Weekend 2017 Edition

We're approaching Mother's Day Weekend again, and this is the day to celebrate the moms and mother figures in our community.

It's also a tough one for the people who have lost their mothers or whose mothers through no fault of their own cut off contact with them.  I see you hear you, and have much love for you on this day.

I also have much love for the MamaBears, those fiece mom's of trans kids who are all in fighting for the humanity and human rights of their trans cubs, and I;m proud to know and occasionally get hugged and loved on by y'all

But the thing I don't have any love for is WTF  level ignorance, blatant hypocrisy, and coonery and buffoonery.

It's time to handle my Friday TransGriot business and call that crap out.

This week's Shut Up Fool Award goes to Bethune Cookman's president Edison O. Jackson, who was a shining example of modern day coonery when to the dismay of the Bethune-Cookman Class of 2017 invited (mis)Education Secretary Betsy DeVos to give a commencement speech, then got mad when those students justifiably protested and booed her problematic public education hatin' azz.

Alright Bethune-Cookman Class of 2017!   Proud of you!.  You are part of a long distinguished heritage of Black community protest powered by HBCU students.

As for President Jackson, there are calls  led by the Florida NAACP for him to resign, and this fool gets an Uncle Ruckus Award on top of this.

Shut Up Fool Awards - Cinco Denial Edition

Yesterday as many of you know was my 55th birthday, and today is Cinco de Mayo.   I missed being born on this day by an hour and 15 minutes.

Today is Friday, which also means that it's TransGriot Shut Up Fool Awards day.  This is the day on the calendar you loyal readers eagerly look forward to to see who I'm going to call out this wek for their WTF level idiocy, coonery, buffoonery, stupidity and brazen hypocrisy.

This week it's just in my face obvious who should be the winner  .

This week its a group award for all 217 House Republicans who racistly voted to strip health care away from 24 million American and kill the Affordable Care Act because a Black president got it passed. and then giddily celebrated their 'accomplishment' ..

I can't even come up with the worlds to discuss how monumentally stupid this is, but I probably will do so in a later post.

In the meantime, I have this to say.   House Republicans, shut up fools.
