Shut Up Fool Awards - Gwen Araujo Murder 14th Anniversary Edition

Image result for Gwen Araujo
October 4 was another sad anniversary in our community.   It was on October 4, 2002 that trans teen Gwen Araujo was murdered at a party she attended in Newark, CA by four men, Jason Cazares, Michael Magidson,  Jose Merel and Jaron Nabors after they discovered she was trans feminine.

After killing Araujo at the party and the party attendees not reporting the crime, the four perpetrators of Gwen's murder drove four hours to a spot where her body was wrapped in a blanket and buried in the Sierra Nevada mountains.

The burial site was eventually discovered after Nabors, as part of a voluntary manslaughter plea deal and an 11 year jail sentence, took Alameda County investigators to that site and a promise to testify against the other perpetrators of the murder.

The trans panic defense was deployed in the September 2004 trial by the defense attorney in the case and the prosecuting attorney unleashed a transphobic comment that negatively affected the trial.

Magidson and Merel were convicted and sentenced to 15 years to life in prison for second degree murder.  Cazares, after two juries deadlocked on his fate, pleaded no contest to manslaughter in a plea deal that sentenced him to six years in jail.

Image result for gwen araujo as a boy
The Araujo case did result in 2006 legislation restricting the use of the trans panic defense in California.    Gwen's name was posthumously legally changed at the request of her mother Sylvia Guerrero.   The case also inspired the June 2006  Lifetime Movie A Girl Like Me: The Gwen Araujo Story.

So after dropping that history, let's move on to our usual Friday business of calling out fools.

Honorable mention number one is everyone in the media and pundit class who claimed Mike Pence won the Vice Presidential debate Tuesday on 'style points'.

Give me a frakking break.  Lying 70 times and refusing to answer questions is a winning stylistic debate strategy?

Honorable mention number two is everyone in the conservative movement who claims that Hurricane Matthew is 'God's punishment for America supporting LGBTQ rights'   If that's the case, why is Matthew headed toward Florida, Georgia and South Carolina. and previously smacked Jamaica and the Bahamas?

Honorable mention number three is to FOX Noise's Jesse Watters for his racistly offensive segment that FOX Noise promoted as 'humorous'.  The tone deaf segment introduced by Bill O'Reilly (no surprise there either) has been called out by everyone from the Asian American Journalists Association to Asian politicians and pundits.

And you conservafools wonder why Asian Americans are overwhelmingly voting Democratic these days.

Honorable mention number four is Republican VP nominee Mike Pence, for just pick any of the 70 loud and wrong lies he told during Tuesday's debate.

Honorable mention number five is Rudy Giuliani for a double dip of idiocy.  First for saying on ABC This Week that a woman shouldn't be president, then denying he said it, and then claiming along with Christ Christie that Trump was a 'genius' for being a taker and not paying his taxes..

Honorable mention number six is The Weather Channel's Jen Delgado, who while reporting on Hurricane Matthew striking Haiti claimed that the deforestation in that country was caused by hungry children eating the trees

FYI Jen, the Haitian deforestation is driven by wood being used as an energy source, not people dining on trees.

Girl bye, and have several sections of seats in Stade Sylvio Cator in Port -au-Prince and shut up with that facts free idiocy.

Honorable mention number seven is a group award for One Million Haters Moms, the faux faith based conservafool group made up of just a few thousand men.  They called for another boycott targeting retailer H&M for having a trans woman in their latest ad campaign.   They mistook Muay Thai boxing champion Fatima Pinto as trans while Hari Nef, the actual trans woman in the ad, floated right under their transmisogynist radar.

Yo conservafools, this is what a trans feminine model looks like.

Honorable mention number eight is for Colorado Republican US Senate candidate Darryl Glenn. Video recently surfaced of this conservakneegrow saying at a 2015 event that 'pregnancy from rape is a gift from God'

What is it with these Republican men and these idiotic rape comments?  And as you probably guessed, the Glenn campaign is cricket chirping silent about it.

Well, we know who Colorado women will be voting for when voting starts in the Centennial State, and it won't be for him.

Image result for pope francisThis week's Shut Up Fool winner is Pope Francis.

Don't know why some of you in LGBT World think this man is liberal progressive when all he has done since replacing Papa Nazi is continued his predecessor's and the Roman Catholic Church's war on trans people.

This week Pope Francis added to a long list of ridiculous anti-trans rhetoric he's uttered since becoming pontiff by accusing Western countries that tolerate trans people of  'ideological colonization', then doubled down on it.

Really Pope Frank?   Me and the trans community didn't ask for yours or the Roman Catholic Church's loud and wrong opinion on trans gender people with is based on anti-trans lies Paul McHugh told y'all in 2003.

I don't want tolerance anyway.  I want like every other trans person on this planet unconditional acceptance of the reality and my human rights protected by the laws of our various nations we live in.

My humanity and the humanity of my trans siblings is not up for the discussion or theological debate at the Vatican or anywhere else on this planet.

Pope Francis, shut up fool!

Shut Up Fool Awards- Last Friday In September Edition

Image result for september 2016 calendar
Well TransGriot readers, it's the last day in September in a year that is going by pretty quickly.

With October starting tomorrow, it means we are in the homestretch of the 2016 presidential election contest.  It also means we are weeks away from Halloween, Thanksgiving in Canada and the USA, Election Day, and Christmas.

We have a few weeks before we get to October 10, October 31, November 8, November 24 and December 25, but today is September 30, and it's time to call some fools out.

It's the latest edition of the TransGriot Shut Up Fool Awards.

FYI, for those of you wondering why I haven't called Donald Trump out lately, he's already locked down the 2016 Shut Up Fool of the Year Award, but he won't officially get it until New Year's Eve.

Besides, it's too easy to give it to him every week when as Mr. T says, fools are everywhere, and you need to know who they are.

Honorable mention number one is to all the Beckys being busted on social media for posing with racist blackface photos   Just say no to Blackface.  Your future self and your future post collegiate career prospects will thank you for it.

Honorable mention number two is Mary J. Blige, who seems to think that being polite and compliant will keep us from getting shot by KKKiller KKKops .   Nope, hasn't worked so far.
Ask the families of Philando Castile and others how well that worked.

Honorable mention number three is Wake County NC sheriff Donnie Harrison, who let loose his transphobic bigot and seems to think that parents should be notified when a trans child uses the bathroom.

Really?  Gee, I wonder what party he belongs to?

Honorable mention number four is MSNBC's Chuck Todd, for letting loose the idiotic comment that Hillary Clinton was 'over prepared' for Monday's debate.

Yo Chuck, I'd rather my future POTUS be 'over prepared' than overwhelmingly clueless and ignorant. Have a whole section of seats at FedEx Field and STFU.

Honorable mention number five is the CDC, for putting out an infographic on TBLGQ violence that erases the trans community

Honorable mention number six is (hopefully) former Tulsa PD officer Betty Shelby, who is making the jaw dropping WTF claim that she was 'temporarily deaf' when she shot and killed Terence Crutcher.

Any lie to justify shooting Black people, huh?

This week's Shut Up Fool award winner is Tomi Lahren, who every time she opens her mouth makes blondes with brains cringe along with any reality based American.

Tomi Lahren (Facebook)In her latest idiotic outburst on The Blaze she stated that cops will continue to shoot Black people until they renounce Black Lives Matter.

Really fool?   Wherever you're getting your wash and set done, either that peroxide is affecting your brain or the white privilege and massive ignorance you're swimming in  .

Tomi Lahren, shut up fool.

Shut Up Fool Awards- Moni's In Da Ville Again Edition

Image result for Louisville skyline
Since Sunday I've been visiting my homies and homettes in my adopted hometown of  Louisville, KY for the first time since my Labor Day weekend 2014 visit.

It's been since I stepped off the plane on Sunday a non stop series of visits and chats with my former neighbors and friends in the Kentuckiana area.

I probably picked up a few pounds after chowing down on my only in Louisville faves like Comfy Cow ice cream (salted caramel), Lee's and Indi's chicken, and the dinners at Jack Fry's, Impellizzeri's and on the Indiana side of the Ohio Buckhead Mountain Grill and New Albany's Gospel Bird later tonight.

The best part of my multi day vacation is getting to hang out with my chosen family up here and seeing the changes like the new Lincoln Bridge downtown, the new pedestrian bridge across the Ohio, the hotels going up, the electric powered downtown circulator bus, the renovations of the airport and convention center and New Lou east of downtown.

I have to leave tomorrow to head back to Houston and the Equality Brunch where I'm receiving another honor., but hopefully it won't take me two years to come back.

Now on to our usual Friday business in which we call out fools besides Donald Trump, who is running away with the 2016 Shut Up Fool of the Year crown.

Let's get to it.  This week''s Shut Up Fool winner is none other than Trump spokessellout Omarosa Manigault, who must have had the wash, set and cranial rinse at the GOP Stepford Salon that Karina Pierson and Stacey Dash had.

She opened he mouth to say that all of Trump's critics would have to 'bow down' to a President Trump.

Not no but hell no will I ever bow down to an POTUS of the United States, and I'm going to do my part ensure he is humiliated once again at the polls on November 8 and we hear the words 'President-elect Hillary Clinton'.

Oh yeah, Omarosa Manigault, Shut Up Fool!

Shut Up Fool Awards- 2016 Hispanic Heritage Month Edition

Yesterday was the start in the US of Hispanic Heritage Month, a month long celebration of the contributions of Latinx and Hispanic Americans to our history, country and our culture.

17% of our country's population have Hispanic or Latinx roots, and the roots of Hispanic Heritage Months go back to 1968.  It begins every year on September 15, which is the independence day of five Latin American countries: Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua.

During the period that Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated, Mexico (September 16), Chile (September 18) and Belize (September 21) also celebrate their independence days as well.

And here is this year's proclamation from President Obama celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month.

It's Friday, so you're surfing over here to discover what fool, fools or group of fools are getting called out for this week's Shut Up Fool honors, time to handle that business.

Honorable mention number one is for Kami Mueller, the North Carolina GOP spokeswoman, who released this unhinged and logic free statement after the NCAA yanked seven championship events out of the state because of Hate Bill 2.

Guess she had the wash, set and GOP cranial rinse, too.

Honorable mention number two is Marco Gutierrez, the Latinos For Trump founder who opened mouth and insulted his people once again by saying Hispanics are a primitive and underdeveloped culture'

Really pendejo?  First the taco trucks on every corner comment, and now this?

Honorable mention number three is Lil Wayne.  This kneegrow seems to have not been paying attention to the last eights years and made the ludicrous assertion that racism is over.

Honorable mention number four is Trump supporter David Duke.  The Klansman stated that if Hillary is elected, Black men will be kidnapping white women outside of Walmart and raping white women

Naw dude, the men that are committing that act on the regular outside of our nation's Walmart's overwhelmingly look like you.

Honorable Mention number five is Donald Trump, Jr who one again proves he a chip off his father's bigoted block by invoking Holocaust imagery in a complaint about alleged media favoritism for Hillary Clinton.

Dude seriously?  Miss me with that BS.  You dad has been fawned over and coddled by the media since he first announced he was running while Hillary Clinton has bee attacked by it in a glaring double standard since the 90's

Judge Roper
This week's Shut Up Fool loser winner is  Georgia Superior Court Judge J. David Roper, who abused his judicial power and denied a name change back in June for trans man Andrew Baumert 10 minutes into the hearing.  Roper also reportedly told the trans man to pick a gender neutral name he can live with

The case is being appealed, and Lambda Legal has taken on this case.  How much y'all wanna bet Roper is a Republican?

The good news is that Roper is retiring in February, but as far as the two trans men he denied name changes to, not soon enough.

Bye trans oppressor and oh yeah, Judge J. David Roper, shut up fool.

Shot Up Fool Awards-Moni's Headed Home From GLAAD Gala Edition

As you're reading this week's SUF post, I'm enroute back to the Lone Star State via Denver after last night's GLAAD Gala San Francisco with a nice trophy in my  checked luggage.

It was an amazing event in which I arrived in anonymity but didn't leave that way after my speech.

And once again deep appreciation and thanks for all the lovely comments you left for me on my Facebook page and elsewhere congratulating me for this unexpected honor celebrating TransGriot's ten years of unapologetically speaking truth to power and advancing the human rights of the trans community one blogpost at a time.

It's time to speak more truth to power and call out some fools.

Honorable mention number one is Mika Brzezinski, for claiming she's hit her breaking point with Donald Trump and his candidacy is not funny any more.

It wasn't funny then when you and your comrade Joe Scarborough fawned over him, gave him softball question after softball question, and basically greased the media skids for him to win the Republican nomination.

Your fauxgressive behind had a chance to shut that down and you failed to do so.

Honorable mention number two is Lena Dunham for once again saying something offensive, apologizing and repeating the offense later.

Honorable mention number three is Matt Lauer, for his piss poor and offensively sexist interview of Democratic presidential nominee Sec. Hillary Clinton during the MSNBC Commander In Chief forum while letting Donald Trump get away with talking loud, lying and saying nothing

Honorable mention number four is North Carolina's soon to be ex GOP governor Pat McCrory,  who keeps doubling down on the twin losing strategies of defending an unjust HB2 bill that has wrecked the state's economy and pimping the anti-trans hatred.

Your SUF loser winner is Tomi Lahren, who aimed her ranting this week at USA women's soccer star Megan Rapinoe, who has joined Colin Kaepernick in the kneeling national anthem protest .

Tomi Lahren has unkind words for soccer star Megan Rapinoe (Screen cap). While berating Rapinoe on The Blaze, she said that Rapinoe as a lesbian should be grateful that in this country they don't throw her off of buildings like they do in other countries.

But hold up sister, your movement not only wants to pass laws to discriminate against LGBTQ people, but there are people in your conservative ranks who would like to do to us what ISIL is doing to LGBTQ people unfortunate enough to be trapped in the territory they control.

And I do recall some US based evangelist pastor that referred to the LGBTQ community on his TV show as 'termites in need of a godly fumigation"

You should be grateful you have a job where you can spout such idiocy unchallenged on the air.

Oh yeah, Tomi Lahren, shut up fool

Shut Up Fool Awards- H-Town Takeover 2.0 Edition

Image result for H-town Takeover
Tomorrow afternoon at a sold out NRG Stadium we will see the biggest season opener for a UH Cougar football game probably in decades when my fave college football team takes on the Oklahoma Sooners in thi nationally televised game..

This game is taking place with the backdrop of the Big XII Conference that dissed us during its formation (with UT"s help) now considering the Cougars for membership.  A win over this Big XII title contender would go a long way toward getting our 2016 season off to a strong start and another major New Year's Six Bowl or even if they run the table, the CFA playoff..

We'll see if that happens for the Coogs over the next few months, but what's going to happen today is me calling out some fools.

Honorable mention number one is the unnamed cheerleading coach at Ross S. Sterling High in Baytown, TX who is harassing the only Black cheerleader on the squad over her braids?

Really?  That's so 90's.

Honorable mention number two is Detroit based Bishop Wayne T. Jackson for cooning it up for Trump.

Honorable mention number three to Tim Canova, who in another defeat for the Bernie Revolution got his azz whipped by Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz on Tuesday, and petulantly refused to concede.

Honorable mention number four is FOX Noise spokesbigot Brian Kilmeade, who says Colin Kaepernick shout stand for national anthem because 'America gave him two white parents'.

You pointed hood is showing Brian along with your lack of IQ points.

Honorable mention number five is Tomi Lahren, who is auditioning for the vacant fembot spots at FOX Noise with a triple play of racist stupidity.  She opened by opening her mouth to say that Colin Kaepernick's citizenship is 'conditional', should be more grateful because he was adopted by white parents, then said if Kap doesn't like this country, he can leave it.

The 15th Amendment says otherwise about Kap's citizenship.  If you're born here, you're a citizen Miss Thang.  And it because we love and want this country to be better we have Frist Amendment rights to criticize it, and so sick of you conservafools insisting people leave this country if they say stuff y'all don't like.

Honorable mention number six is ESPN commentator Paul Finebaum, who claimed on air that Black people aren't being oppressed in this country.

Really?   12 year old Black kids are being shot and killed by po-po's, the Republican Party gleefully brags that their voter ID laws are designed to keep Black people from voting, and we aren't being oppressed?

Mike Krawitz, a candidate for West Deptford Township Committee (Facebook photo). This week's Shut Up Fool Award goes to  New Jersey Republican politician Mike Krawitz.   The Trump supporter wrote a foul comment aimed at Daily Beast reporter Olivia Nuzzi that he hopes 'she gets raped by a Syrian refugee'

With such a charming personality, no wonder he has failed multiple times to be elected to the West Deptford Township Committee, and hope he massively fails again this year.

Mike Krawitz, shut up racist and misogynist fool!

Shut Up Fool Awards- Rio Olympic Withdrawal Edition

Image result for Rio closing ceremony flame extinguished
It's been almost a week since the Olympic flame was extinguished at the Maracana Stadium on Sunday to close out the Rio Olympic Games and literally pass the hosting torch to Tokyo for 2020.

Image result for Marlene de Castro Olympic closing ceremoniesAfter 19 days of competition in which we won so much that Donald Trump couldn't even muster a single tweet congratulating our diverse USA Olympic team for winning 121 medals to lead all nations, I was suffering from an acute case of Olympic withdrawal on Monday and Tuesday.

It started with that twinge of sadness I felt when I watched the moving images of the Olympic flame be extinguished as Brazilian singer Marlene de Castro sang a hauntingly beautiful song with misting water flowing in the background as the wind powered sculpture designed by Anthony Howe that made for a cool effect in contrast with the Olympic cauldron stopped moving at the same moment the flame went out.

The next morning, the cold reality the Games were over hit me as I tuned on the TV, and instead of eagerly watching the athletes of the world competing for gold, silver and bronze medals, I was back to the real world of a contentious US presidential election and the news rudely reminding me that my community's human rights were under a legal attack unfortunately led by my indicted Texas GOP AG Ken Paxton.

Image result for tokyo 2020 logo
Well, the start of the 2020 Tokyo Games is scheduled for July 24, 2020.  That's only 1426 days from now as I write this post.

Today is also Friday, and that means it's time to call out the fool, fools or groups of fools who have uttered Olympic sized baldfaced lies, made WTF statements, and exhibited brazen hypocrisy.

Yep, it's time for this week's version of the TransGriot Shut Up Fool Awards

Honorable mention number one is a group award for every conservative pundit this week trying to cosign Donald Trump's ridiculous claim that Hillary Clinton is a bigot.

Thanks to all the Black and Latinx media pundits that had no problem calling out the idiocy like Angela Rye and Charles Blow.

I have a lifetime of experience spotting bigots along with every non-white American, and we can pretty much unanimously say that's it's hypocritical and WTF worthy for Donald Trump's bigoted and racist behind to be accusing someone else who has the long positive civil rights track record Clinton has of bigotry

Honorable mention number two is Maine Gov. Paul LePage (R), who left a Democratic state lawmaker a derogatory unhinged recorded message under the assumption that state Rep Drew Gattine (D) had called him a racist.

Hey, if he did, he's only telling the truth about you, so why are you getting so pissed off about it?

Honorable mention number three is another example of sterling GOP leadership in North Carolina lieutenant governor Dan Forest, who offered his loud and wrong opinion on our trans lives.

Honorable mention number four we go across The Pond to Nice, France, where the Nice po-po's are gleefully oppressing Muslim women by enforcing their burkini ban that has now gone to the French courts to challenge its .

Honorable mention number five is Sigourney Coyle, who exhibited an acute case of faith -based transphobia when she claimed that she would fail gym class if she was 'forced' to dress out in front of a trans feminine student

Yeah right.  That trans feminine student is more concerned about being treated with dignity and respect than worrying about what you look like in your underwear when you change into your gyn clothes.

And you're proving the old political science joke about Pennsylvania to be true in your case.   It's Pittsburgh in the west, Philadelphia in the east, and Alabama in the middle.

Honorable mention number six is Atlanta based megachurch pastor Creflo Dollar, who is in the news for his latest effort in faith based prosperity gospel coonery by claiming 'God told me to endorse Donald Trump '

And y'all wanna know why I can't stand these sellout 'minsters' like Dollar that are nothing more than Rev, Ike on steroids.

Honorable mention number seven  goes to GOP federal Judge Reed O'Connor for oppressing trans people across the USA just before the first day of school started with his unjust injunction. .

Elections matter trans community and allies, and especially presidential elections.

The POTUS picks not only the SCOTUS, but the federal judge you'll be depending on to rule in your favor in any federal discrimination cases you file.

Image result for Ken paxtonThis week's Shut Up Fool winner is our indicted Texas attorney general Ken Paxton.(R)

This trans oppressor not only filed suit to fight the DOE/DOJ Dear Colleague letter that simply states you cannot discriminate against trans students and they are covered under Title IX,, the same day he accepted a dinner invitation from Amber Briggle and her transgender child, he filed another federal lawsuit to deny transgender people medical coverage.  .

As I've said repeatedly, love my home state of Texas, hate the GOP conservative azzholes and trans oppressors who run it

Oh yeah, Ken Paxton, shut up fool!

Shut Up Fool Awards- Last Olympic Weekend In Rio Edition

The Rio Olympic Games are cruising to their final weekend of competition before the closing ceremonies happen on Sunday, and we have seen it all.

Teams and individuals favored for medals upset well before they get to the medal platform. Unheralded athletes having the meets of their lives to claim medals.  Legendary athletes cementing their place in Olympic and sporting history.  The unbridled joy of athletes winning first ever medals for their nations in their sporting disciplines.

As the TransGriot and the world have been watching the Olympic coverage, the world keeps turning, and the stupidity and ignorance still fills the news channels as I flip the channels away from the nonstop Olympic coverage, and I have got to call the fools out on their BS.

So here's this week's Shut Up Fool winners in Olympic style.

The SUF bronze medal goes to guess who?  The Republican presidential nominee for pick an offensive comment.

THe SUF silver medal comes to the Lone Stat State for in Austin City Councilmember Dan Zimmerman for his offensive comment he made to a largely Latinx audience during a city council meeting.

He has a long negative history of making offensive comments, and may he pay for it at the ballot box on November 8

This week's Shut Up Fool gold medal winner is a group award for US swimmer Ryan Lochte and his USA swimming teammates who created an international incident after getting drunk after an Olympic Village party, demolishing a gas station bathroom, getting detained, and then Lochte claiming they had been robbed.

The story fell apart after the media dug in and the Brazilian legal system got to work debunking it to the point where the USOC committee had to issue an apology for their behavior.

Lochte, who jumpstarted this mess, managed to get out of Brazil and back to the US along with Jonathan Feigen, ,but Gunnar Bentz and Jack Conger weren't so fortunate.

The other thing that has pissed me off about this incident is peeps rushing to Lochte's defense claiming his 32 year old azz is 'just a kid' , but 12 year old Tamir Rice by contrast was a 'grown man' who police were justified in murdering for the 'crime' of playing with a BB gun in a public park.

But yeah, according to whiteness, Gabby Douglas not having her hand over her heart during an Olympic medal ceremony was more worthy of outrage than these fools destroying property in the Olympic host nation, making a false robbery accusation , and creating a multi day distraction from the positive coverage that all the Olympians deserved.

White privilege in action.

Ryan Lochte and the USA swimmers who embarrased this country with your big lie, shut up fools!

Shut Up Fool Awards-Moni's At Chautauqua Edition

Monica Roberts, a blogger and civil rights advocate, speaks with Janet Mock about their experiences being transgender women on Aug. 11, 2016 in the Amphitheater. Photo by Sarah Holm
I'm on my way back to Houston from western New York viia Buffalo and Baltimore from spending a few days on the Chautauqua Institution grounds.   I was invited to participate in a historic discussion from the Amphitheater stage in which Janet Mock and I talked about transgender human rights issues yesterday morning

I enjoyed not only getting to spend some quality time with my amazing trans sister Janet, but getting an opportunity to for the first time since the late 90's to spend some quality time with my homegirl Susan Davis.   She took me on a tour of the Chautauqua grounds and explained to me her and her family's deep personal connection going back to her great grandparents of Chautauqua Institution and how special it is to her.

Thanks also to Bob Jeffrey for dinner and the conversation last night, and Rachel Borzilleri, my hostess at Hagen Wensley House where I have spent the last few days being spoiled rotten and getting an education from her about what makes Chautauqua special from her vantage point.

But yep, this is Friday, and it's also time for me to call out this week's chain of fools as I wing my way back home to my H-town life,
.
So let's get to it.

Honorable mention number on is a group award for the Pearland ISD, for continuing to thumb their nose at the federal government and oppress a five year old trans child about to enroll in their district this month..

Honorable mention number two goes to Donald Trump for pick whatever outrageous comment or lie he's told this week.   November 8, please get here ASAP so we can put this fool out of his political misery.

Honorable mention number three is the Green (Tea) Party and the Bernie Or Busters whose unhinged hatred of Hillary Clinton leads their vanillacentric privileged faces to attempt to say that Jill Stein and her running mate are an acceptable alternative that is more in line with their values.

Well, if conspiracy theories and Holocaust denial are part of your values, then the Stein-Baraka ticket is the one for you.

Honorable mention number four is NBC's problematic Rio 2016 Olympic coverage.  Despite Rio being only one hour ahead of the US eastern time zone, it has tape delayed some events, and has had some gaffes in which Al Trautwig ad to apologize for comments he made about Simone Biles' parents, not showing the historic gold medal ceremony of Simone Manuel until an hour after it happened, and whatever else will happen between now and the closing ceremony.

Honorable mention number five goes to all you hypocrites who are dragging Gabby Douglas for the 'crime' of not having her hand over her heart during the Rio medal ceremony, but couldn't be bothered to call out Donald Trump's failure to do the same thing.during a GOP debate.

Guess the option to not be patriotic is only for white people, huh?.

EEib1cjuThis week's Shut Up Fool winner is Nico Hines, the journalist from The Daily Beast who decided to do a piece about gay hook up sex during the Rio Olympics.

Oh yeah, he's straight, and problem number two is that his piece , which has subsequently been taken down has outed gay athletes from countries in which homosexuality is criminalized or just being known as gay can result in severe bodily harm or death.

But naw homey, your privileged behind didn't think about that as you wrote that post, you were looking for the hits it would generate, and damned the consequences on the lives of the people who have not only been outed, but will have to deal with the ripple effect of that piece that may include imprisonment or death.

And deleting it isn't going to make it and the problems your piece caused in their lives go away.

And oh yeah, Nico Hines, shut up fool.

Shut Up Fool Awards- Meet The GOP That Hates On Me Edition

The Republicans held their Klan meeting convention in Cleveland this week to formally nominate Donald J. Trump as their 2016 presidential nominee.

All I have to say about that train wreck of a political convention is to borrow the eloquent words of the late Maya Angelou.  "When somebody shows you who they are the first time, believe them."

trump familyYes, the Republicans showed us who aren't members who they are as a party   From their overwhelmingly white convention hall, facts free podium speeches, gleeful engagement in WTF levels misogyny, racism, homophobia and transphobia, their reprehensible 2016 platform, jacking the words of a First Lady they hate, and the Triumph of the Trump.
And for once my Texas GOP politicians weren't the ones leading the charge on the rampant GOP ignorance on display.

The #RNCinCLE will go down in political infamy and hope on November 8 they will be crying in their ballrooms as the media announces another historic American election first.

That's a nice segue to getting to our usual Friday TransGriot business of pointing out what fool, fools or group of fools took greater steps toward becoming infamous in their own right.  So let's get busy calling them out.

Honorable mention number one is conservative talk show host Laura Ingrahamfor her Nazi salute after the conclusion of her remarks.  Yeah, we in reality based America were paying attention.

Honorable mention number two is 'Pastor' Mark  Burns for his hateful benediction exalting Conservagod and the Republican Party that Uncle Ruckus would have been proud of.

And y'all wanna know why I can't stand kneegrow sellout pastors.

Honorable mention number three is Ben Carson for letting loose with the transphobia again.   Me and my unapologetic Black trans siblings find you and other kneegrow Republicans to be 'absurd' as well.   There are more than 1.4 million trans people here in the US, deal with it.

Honorable mention number four is Rep. Steve King (R-IA) for his racist MSNBC interview.  And yes Steve,non-whites have created many of inventions, created the music, and countless other innovations that benefit society as a whole.,

Honorable mention number five is the Trumpenfuhrer, Donald Trump, for pick a RNC convention moment.   The cavalcade of lies in his far too long acceptance speech, the lies he told this week, the attacks on Ted Cruz and John Kasich, the creepy feeling up his daughter on stage and the orange tanned arrogance.

And we still have four more months left until this election is mercifully over.

Honorable mention number six is NC Governor Pat McCrory (R), who continues to be in denial that it's his and the NC GOP's fault their state is hemorrhaging jobs and events because of HB2 and is trying (and failing) to blame everyone,

The NBA became the latest entity to remove an event from the state because of the unjust HB2 law by pulling the 2017 NBA All Star Game from Charlotte.

Please NC, remove Pat McCrory from your governor's mansion along with the GOP majority that blitzed this madness through the legislature in November.

This week's Shut Up Fool winner is Milo Yiannopoulos, the gay conservative Breitbart tech editor who found himself getting a permanent Twitter ban for racistly attacking and promoting abuse of actress Leslie Jones to the point she briefly left Twitter

Jones is one of the stars in the all-female remake of Ghostbusters, which raked in $46 million in its opening weekend despite the cries of the movie bros hatin' on the remake

Yiannopoulos has proven in this ugly episode that elements of the conservative white gay male community can be just as reprehensibly racist as their straight conservative male counterparts.

And oh yeah, Milo Yiannopoulos, shut up fool!

Shut Up Fool Awards-What's Going On Edition

It's been one of those WTF weeks in American history. We've had two Black men, Alton Sterling and Philando Castile murdered by police in Baton Rouge and St Paul, MN 36 hours apart followed by a terror attack in Dallas last night aimed at killing DPD and DART police watching over a peaceful protest about police brutality aimed far too often at non-white people.

So as I tried to go to bed last night the 'What's Going On' song by Marvin Gaye and the lyrics of it were playing in my head.   Took me a while to get to sleep.

Let me get to my usual Friday business of calling out fools..

Honorable mention number one is a group award for every fool online who in the wake of the Sterling and Castile murders, used the #BlueLivesMatter or #AllLivesMatter hasttags, racistly repeated the 'black on black crime' conservalie or were just derailing racist douchebags.

Honorable mention number two is to Donald Trump for his ongoing train wreck of a presidential campaign and whatever jacked up comment he made this week.

Honorable mention number three is the NRA for their cricket chirping silence in the wake of the murder by cop of Castile, who was a 2nd Amendment supporter.   Their silence continues to reinforce the ossifying impression in Black America that the NRA is a racist organization, why Black Americans overwhelmingly want common sens gun control legislation and the   #SecondAmendmentSoWhite

Honorable mention number four is the GOP House, who can't call a hearing to investigate ongoing violence aimed at African-Americans, but can call an emergency hearing over some damned e-mails

Honorable mention number five is Wendy Williams, who made some problematic comments about HBCU's on a recent show.

Honorable mention number six is Gays For Trump, who decided to throw trans people under the human rights bus.  They cheered when Donald Trump flip flopped on his alleged support for trans people and support HB2.

Guess you forgot that when mine and other trans people's human rights aren't secure, yours aren't either, and your whiteness, Republican party status,or wallets won't save you from that reality.

Honorable mention number seven is Matt Drudge for his racist anti-BLM headline on that waste of bandwith called the Drudge Report.

This week's SUF fool winner is my least favorite deadbeat dad and former congressman in Joe Walsh.

Ever since  Rep.Tammy Baldwin beat that behind in 2012 and knocked him out of his congressional seat after one controversial term, he's been doing conservafool talk radio, and last night in the wake of the Dallas shooting made a series of racist tweets threatening President Obama and calling for a race war.

He of course once the backlash started deleted the tweet and doubled down with more racist conservaidiocy but social media wasn't having it and justifiably dragged his azz..

And yeah, I got your 'Real America'.   Real America is the people who want to see this country evolve to live up to the lofty words in the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence, not be dragged back to a Leave It To Beaver America that never existed

Real America is not right wing white males pining for the 18th century when only they had the political power, but a diverse nation which works for everyone.

How about you do Chicago and America a favor and shut up fool?

Shut Up Fool Awards- Yo Canada! Edition

As I mentioned in a previous post, today is Canada's 149th birthday, which is being celebrated from coast to coast in the Great White North with parades, fireworks and other events in the second largest nation on the planet.

And since it's Friday, that means I get to call out this week's rogues gallery of fools as a our northern neighbors and all who have surfed over here to view this post look on in approval.

Happy Canada Day!   Time to get busy with this week's edition of the TransGriot Shut Up Fool Awards.

Honorable mention number one is new U of L trustee Douglas Cobb, who was appointed by Gov Matt Bevin (R) to a term that expires in 2019.  He's said some problematic stuff about trans people,  is a climate denier, and a deacon at the Southeast Christian hate church.

Honorable mention number two is Laura Ingraham, who exhorted all her listeners on Wednesday to defacate on themselves in protest of advances in trans human rights.

Hey, it's not an Onion article.  Y'all conservafools already stink as human beings.  Now you'll be literally be smelling like caca if your radio conservasheeple go through with it.

Honorable mention number three is Stacey Dash, who in the wake of Jesse Williams' powerful BET speech, called him a Hollywood Plantation Slave.  That's a laugh, the FOX Noise fembot sellout trying to do her conservative paymaster's bidding and slime somebody doing some truth telling.

Bye Stacey   You just mad because he still has a Hollywood career and you don't.

Honorable mention  number four is Sen. John McCain, who is calling for a senate hearing on lifting the already lifted trans military ban.   Dude, this has been in the works for a year, where have you been?

Honorable mention number five is Tomi Lahren, who has obviously had the fembot wash, set and GOP cranial rinse when she complained the BET Awards were 'very Black' this year in the wake of the conservafool freakout over Williams' well received speech.

Well duh, boo boo kitty, BET does stand for Black Entertainment Television."

Honorable mention number six the North Carolina Republicans who are trying to push a 'compromise' on Hate Bill 2 that keeps the discrimination in place and proposes 'trans pee papers'

Not no but hell no to that idea.  Repealing HB2 is the only acceptable solution to this impasse

Honorable mention number seven is Donald Trump for another week of pick 'em lies.

This week's Shut Up Fool winner is Caitlyn Jenner, who opened her mouth and inserted her pumps in it once again by stating that Donald Trump is a champion for women and the LGBT community.

Um no, Caitlyn.  You may not have been paying attention back in the 90's when his low energy, lowdown behind cheated on Ivana and Marla, dissed Rosie O'Donnell, made misogynistic comments on Howard Stern's radio show, dissed Desiree Washington, and that's the short list of jacked up stuff against women he's said before I even get into the ongoing attacks on Megyn Kelly and a woman's right to choose..

Donald Trump's only concern is getting his eminently unqualified for POTUS behind elected.  He will say anything to accomplish that.   If you are too obtuse to see that, then your ass needs to have several sections of seats at the Rose Bowl  and shut up.

Caitlyn Jenner, shut up fool.

Shut Up Fool Awards- Happy Pride 2016 Edition

Our Houston Pride parade is tomorrow, and because we had some folks nervous about whether to attend it or not in the wake of a online threat made to the parade that turned out to be a false one, a video was made by HOU Equality featuring local LGBT community leaders encouraging people to do so.

We are close to the anniversary of the June 28, 1969 Stonewall Rebellion that kicked off the modern TBLG rights movement, which is what the pride parade is supposed to be celebrating.

Let's just hope and pray that this weekend's round of pride parades here and around the country are drama and incident free.

Now with that jibber-jabber out of the way, let's get y'al to what you surfed over here to find out in the first place in terms of what fool, fools or group of fools after a packed news week is Moni going to call out.

Honorable mention number one is a group award for the Republican Party, who basically demonstrated to the world that they are kissing the NRA's rumps so hard that when Wayne LaPierre farts, they can tell you what he ate for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Honorable mention number two is Donald Trump for being in Scotland just as a historic moment is happening there, getting it wrong about how Scotland voted in terms of #Brexit and talking ad nauseum about his golf course and how the cratering of the British pound means increased business for his golf course.

Honorable mention number three is Rep Mark Walker (R-NC) who made an ass out of himself while trying to throw shade at civil rights legend and Rep. John Lewis (D-GA) for the House sit in.

Honorable mention number four is Rep. Louie Gohmert for embarrassing the Lone Star State once again by jumping in Rep Corrine Brown's (D-FL) face and incoherently rambling about 'radical Islamic terrorism' killing her Orlando Pulse constituents.

Her fellow Dems should have let her slap the shit out of him.  We would have cheered her in liberal progressive Texas for doing so

Honrable mention number five is #BeckyWithTheBadGrades, AKA Abigail Fisher, who lost another round at the SCOTUS trying to kill all affirmative action programs that white women like her are the prime beneficiaries of because she was mad she didn't get into UT.

And Black Twitter properly dragged her ass for it.  #StayMadAbby

Honorable mention number six is Roland Emmerich for once again on the eve of another anniversary of the Stonewall Rebellion, claiming in an interview 'it was a white event'.

Let it go Roland, you film bombed because of your attempt to whitewash history.

Honorable mention number seven for Rupert Everett, who opened his loud and wrong mouth and took a potshot at trans kids and their parents. Seen this far too often with gay men attacking trans people

Honorable mention number eight we go across The Pond for in Brexit face and UKIP leader Nigel Farage   In the wake of the shocking victory, claimed that the Brexit had be accomplished without a shot being fired, said it was a win for all the 'decent people' and then admitted in an interview this morning that a Brexit campaign claim was a lie.

I guess your slimy behind forgot about MP Jo Cox, who was assassinated days before the election while on her way to a constituent event to exhort her constituents to vote to remain in the EU.

Stacey Dash appears on Fox News (screen grab)This week's Shut Up Fool loser winner is Stacey Dash, who obvious had another wash, set and GOP cranial rinse at the FOX Noise Fembot Salon  when she called the House sit in for gun control legislation 'uncivilized'

If it wren't for John Lewis and countless other civil rights warriors conducting those as you disrespectfully put it 'uncivilized' sit ins across the country, your azz would not only not have had as an option an acting career in Hollywood, you wouldn't be sitting on that FOX Noise couch parroting right wing drivel for pay.

#ByeStacey  and shut up fool!

Shut Up Fool Awards- It's Juneteenth Weekend Edition

June 19 is not only Father's Day, but it is also Juneteenth in Texas.

Juneteenth is the 1865 day that Union Major General Gordon Granger read Order Number 3 from the balcony of Galveston's Ashton Villa and proclaimed at all Texas slaves were henceforth free.

It became known as Emancipation Day to the freedmen, and starting in 1866 was celebrated with picnics, parades, and church services.  African-American Texans as the migrated to other parts of the country too the unofficial holiday with them, and on January 1, 1980, thanks to the efforts of Texas state Rep Al Edwards, Juneteenth became an official state holiday.

So let m break out my strawberry soda and barbecue and chow down on it before i call out this weeks list of holiday fools.

Honorable mention number one is a group award to every conservafool and Republican who tried to pit the TBLGQ community against the Muslim community over the Pulse terror attack.

Honorable mention number two is the Log Cabin Republicans, who also tried to push Islamophobia and blame ISIS for the attack when they and 'errbody' in TBLG World knows that the largest purveyors of  LGBT hate are the Republican Party
'
Honorable mention number three is Tila Tequila, who  was listening to too much Dan Patrick while growing up her in H-town. Her racist Asian azz tweeted that Jennifer Lopez was a 'Mexican with money'   No. you bigoted twit, unlike you, J Lo was born in the US (The Bronx) and is Puerto Rican.

And can't I get one day when some right wing idiot isn't embarrassing my home state by opening their mouths and letting something stupid fly out of it?

Honorable mention number four is Donald Trump for just pick a stupid statement this week, but the most over the top one is the assertion he would be better for LGBT people than Hillary Clinton. .

Honorable mention number five is John McCain, for claiming President Obama is responsible for the Pulse aatack when his party refused to pass legislation to keep people on the 'no fly' and terror watch lists from buying assault weapons.

Honorable mention number six is Bill O'Reilly, for saying on air he wants to slap Rep James Clyburn for wanting to focus on gun safety after Orlando attacks.

He has good reason to you conservaidiot, especially since today is the one year anniversary of the Mother Emmanuel church terrorist attack by Dylan Roof in Charleston, SC.

Honorable mention number seven is the still unidentified kneegrow who tweeted that the Pulse shooting was 'someone doing community service', and lost his job at a Marietta, GA WalMart as a result.

Honorable mention number eight is my Lt Governor Dan Goeb Patrick, for posting a 'you reap what you sow' tweet five hours after the terror attack, and when the justifiable backlash hit him, tried to claim it was an error and was selected well in advance of Sunday's event.

Honorable mention number nine is Rep Rick Allen (R-GA) who said 'gays are worthy of death' and doesn't feel the need to retract it in the wake of the Orlando mass shooting.

This week's Shut Up Fool winner is Roger Jimenez, the California hate pastor who gleefully referred to the 49 victims as  pedophiles, stated he's upset that the Pulse shooter didn't finish the job,  and then doubled down on the gaybaiting hatred.

Ignorant hatemongers like you are why the Pulse shooting happened in the first place, and you are the reason why Christianity has such a negative connotation with millennials

Roger Jimenez (not going to even call you a pastor because you don't deserve the title), I rebuke you in the name of Jesus, and oh yeah, shut up fool.

Shut Up Fool Awards-Moni's On The East Coast Again Edition

It's been an interesting weekend for me because I'm getting to not only go to the 2016 edition of the Philly Trans Health Conference,, I got to do a happy detour through Washington DC so I could go to the White House and attend the last LGBT Pride Reception that President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama would host

It necessitated me flying into DC and then after the ceremony thanks to Fiona Dawson getting a ride up 1-95 to Philadelphia for the PTHC two hours after the reception concluded.

And speaking of just concluded, I'm out of the 8 AM blogging panel discussion that I was part of with Brynn Tannehill, Joanna Cifredo, and Mari Brighe and wandering the halls of the Pennsylvania Convention Center

But this also Friday, and that means it is time to call out the latest group of fools in this week's edition of the TransGriot Shut Up Fool Awards

I'm just going to go straight to this week's winner

This week's Shut Up fool winners is a group award for Brock Turner and his parents Dan and Carleen Turner

Their sex offender son got a six month slap on the wrist and three years probation by Santa Clara County Superior Court Judge Aaron Persky for raping an unconscious woman on the Stanford University campus that became a straight up textbook exercise of White privilege in action.

Naw player, you did the heinous crime, and you/should have done more time for it than six fracking months, of which you`ll only do at least three for good jail behavior.

As for Dan Brock your comments were reprehensible, and pissed me and a lot of people off.  A 'steep price to pay for 20 minutes of action'?  Are you fracking serious?  I can see based on those comments why Brock is an entitled chip off the old block.

What about the 'steep price' the rape survivor will have to pay beyond the six months your son is going to do in jail plus three years of probation?

Carleen, your cries to the judge for mercy for your son don`t resonate with me because if your child was Black, they would be throwing his azz under the jail.   As a matter of fact we have have had far too many cases of Black sons thrown under the jail for simply being accused of rape.

Brock Turner and parents, shut up fools.

Shut Up Fool Awards- It's Hurricane Season Edition

With the calendar page changing to the month of June, it also means that those of us who live in Texas and everywhere else along the Gulf and Atlantic coasts will be until November 20 casting nervous eyes toward the west African coast or in the Caribbean Sea every time we hear our weather casters say the words 'tropical wave' or tropical storm'.

The 2016 Atlantic hurricane season has started, and before the official June 1 starting date we have already had two named storms in Alex and Bonnie in May.

The rest of the storm name list?   Colin, Danielle, Earl, Fiona, Gaston, Hermine, Ian, Julia, Karl, Lisa, Matthew, Nicole, Otto, Paula, Richard, Shary, Tobias, Virginie, and Walter..

And what happens if it is a busy year and they run through all the names this year?  Then the National Hurricane Center goes to the Greek alphabet to name the storms.

It's also Friday, and time to call out our Category 5 level windbags and fools in this week's edition of the TransGriot Shut Up Fool Awards.

Honorable mention number one is Donald Trump for pick whatever lies he said this week during his campaign stops.

Honorable mention number two is Sen. Bernie Sanders, who immediately after Sec. Clinton lambasted Trump as unfit to be president in a well received speech, instead of piling on and co-signing that speech hypocritically attacks Sec. Clinton.

Will be so glad when this Dem primary is over and you slink off to defeat along with the rest of the Green Tea Party.

Honorable mention number three is Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY), who stated in an interview that 'there are no serious barriers to voting anywhere' and he wasn't in favor of restoring the Voting Rights Act.   Really?  What crystal meth are you smoking?

Honorable mention number four is Stacey Dash, who's clueless ass revealed that she was transphobe in addition to being a sellout when she stated that trans people needed to 'pee in the bushes.'

Naw tramp, I'm peeing and pooping next to you in the women's restroom as I have for the last two decades and trans women in the United States have done since Christine Jorgensen returned from Denmark in 1953

Honorable mention number five is Maya Dillard Smith, who revealed her transphobic side and resigned as the interim head of the Georgia ACLU because she didn't wish to defend the human rights of transgender people.   Cheryl Courtney Evans eloquently called her out about that transphobia.

James Dobson via Right Wing Watch (YouTube)This week's Shut Up Fool winner is James Dobson, who basically called for the murder of trans people for simply doing what every other person on the planet does in pooing and peeing while engaged in another hate sermon aimed at President Obama.

And like all conservative white men, he dusted off the old Jim Crow rhetoric of 'defending our women and children' to justify his faux faith-based transphobic rant..

Yep, once again, by their transphobic fruits ye shall know them.   If you haven't gotten the message, here it is.  Dobson and all his dominionist friends are unrepentant transphobes who hate us.

Anti trans hate thoughts + anti-trans hate speech = anti-trans hate violence and murder.  Dobson and the rest of Satan's Helpers will do anything to stir up resentment and animus toward trans people, up and including spewing hate speech from their megachurch pulpits in the hope that some unhinged person will act on the negativity they put out there.

James Dobson, shut up fool...

Shut Up Fool Awards- Memorial Day Weekend 2016 Edition

Timo Kohlenberg/Flickr
Memorial Day is Monday, and it is the day that we remember the people who lost their lives while serving in our country's armed forces.  In addition, it has increasingly been considered the unofficial start of the summer season here in the States, even though many of us who don't reject science know that summer doesn't start until June 21

It's also one of the busier travel weekends in the States outside of the Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday periods.

Well, it's Friday, so it's time to see what fool, fools or group of fools made the cut for this week's Shut Up Fool Awards

Honorable mention number one is a group award for all 11 states that followed Texas in joining a lawsuit to continue discrimination against trans students.

Honorable mention number two is Waukesha County, Wisconsin clerk Kathleen Novack (R), who testified in federal court in support of the voter suppression restrictions enacted between 2011-2015 hat early voting on weekends needs to end because 'urban areas have too much access to voting'

The GOP isn't even trying to hide heir bigotry any more.

Honorable mention number three Is all the North Carolina kneegrow (they don't deserve to be called Black) pastors who channeled their inner Uncle Ruckuses and held a rally in support of HB2 probably at the behest of their GOP paymasters.

They recited the same tired line that LGBT rights aren't civil rights.  Naw fools, they are.  And what's even more problematic is you sellouts haven't sopped to consider that HB2 wipes out ALL human rights law in North Carolina, not just 'the gays and t******s"'
.
Honorable mention number four is Rep Louie Gohmert (R-TX)  who continues to ensure not only that he is the undisputed champion of GOP idiots, he never fails to miss an opportunity to embarrass Texas on the national stage.   Here's his latest unhinged rant that states his opposition to homosexuality because gay astronauts can't reproduce in space.

Hey, I'm just reporting it...

Honorable mention number five is Gail Heriot, the member of the US Commission on Civil Rights who got called out for her transphobia by Rep. Zoe Lofgren (D-CA).

It's sad that this transphobe is sitting on the US Commission on Civil Rights in the first place.

Ken PaxtonThis week's fool is indicted Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton (R), for not only filing the unjust lawsuit that he doesn't have standing to file BTW, but doubling down on the Texas GOP peddling of transphobia by refusing to answer the question if trans children exist.

Really?   I guess Jazz Jennings and all the trans kids in Texas and around the country are just figments of a liberal-progressive's imagination?

You and the Texas Republican party are why our proud state can't even go a day without some idiot from your party embarrassing us simply by opening your mouths every time a camera is rolling.

And BTW AG Paxton, shut up fool! .

Shut Up Fool Awards- I Pity The Fools Edition

Tomorrow is Mr T's birthday.   Mr T will be turning 64, and is still around as a actor, pitchman, and as you longtime TransGriot readers are aware of, the inspiration for the TransGriot Shut Up Fool! Awards.

It's Friday, and my day to call out the fool, fools or group of fools that have labored mightily to show to America an the world their ignorance and WTF level arrogance.

Unlike Mr. T, I'm not taking pity on the fools, I'm calling them out.  So let's get busy as I gleefully do that.

Honorable mention number one is a group award for the GOP controlled Oklahoma Legislature.  It is a body that has LGBT hater Sally Kern as one of its members, and seems to not care if the laws they pass are constitutional.   In addition to passing or proposing bills to criminalize abortion and hate on trans Sooners, they just passed a resolution calling for President Obama to be impeached for standing up for the human rights of trans people.

This week's Shut Up Fool  loser winner is TX Gov. Greg Abbott (R).

Greg Abbot continued to attack on the Texas transgender community he started during the HERO fight with a WTF rant he tweeted against the DOE/DOJ policy directive.

'JFK wanted to send a man to the moon.  Obama wants to send a man to the women's restroom.  We must get our country back on track.

Naw fool, President Obama wants to send a man to mars, but your party has thwarted that, too

News flash for your azz.  trans Texans like myself exist and we not only live here, we contribute to making our state better, and we're not going into hiding to make you or your transphobic base happy.

Greg Abbott, shut up fool!.

Shut Up Fool Awards-Friday The 13th Edition

It's not just any Friday on the calendar, it's Shut Up Fool awards day.  It's one of the ongoing features of this blog that you TransGriot readers tell me you absolutely love every week, and thank you for your suggestions and nominations as to what fools, fools or group of fools need to be highlighted.

It's also Friday the 13th and interestingly enough, the only Friday the 13th we'll have on the 2016 calendar.  So for those of you who have triskaidekiphobia, you can breathe easy now.

So what's triskaidekiphobia?  Fear of the number thirteen..

So let's to calling out the fool, fools or group of fools who scare us because of their lack of intelligence, who exhibit scary over the top cluelessness, and stun us with their WTF arrogance?

Honorable mention number one is Sally Kern, for doubling down o  her gay baiting on her term limited way out of the Oklahoma legislature.

Honorable mention number two is Sarah Eldridge, the foul mouth transphobe who attacked trans women Pearl love on a NY subway train recently, then her unrepentant azz demanded in an interview that people don't judge her.

WTF?  You're lucky that Pearl isn't filing charges against you, or you didn't run into a trans woman who would have mopped the floor with your behind and filed her nails after she did so..

Honorable mention number three is Texas AG Ken Paxton, who played the white conservafool victim card and claim that his azz is facing three felony indictments because he is a 'conservative christian' with strong faith'.

if your faith was as strong as you claim it is, you wouldn't have done the shady crap that got you indicted in the first place, you hypocrite.

Honorable mention number four is Gov Pat McCrory, who is continuing to do his George Wallace impression in NC and continue lying to the nation and the world that HB 2 isn't a discriminatory bill.

This time he tries to whitesplain and claim the Black AG was irresponsible and it was an insult yo correlate the trans rights struggle with the Black civil rights one.

Seriously Pat?

Honorable mention number five is Anne Graham Lotz, the sister of Franklin Graham who jumped on the hate on trans people bandwagon and made the ridiculous claim that trans people peeing and pooping in bathrooms caused 9-11.

Now you white cisgender conservafool idiots are really reaching and just are throwing crap on the wall to see what sticks.

You Grahams all need psychiatric help.

This week's Shut Up Fool loser  winner is  Lt. Governor Dan Goeb Patrick for his week in which he barged into a FWISD board meeting Tuesday to demand the superintendent resign for standing up for the humanity of trans kids, railed against the Obama administration on several networks, all for the benefit of the GOP peeps at their Dallas convention this week.

I'd call you a douche bag, but that would be disrespectful to feminine hygiene products.

Dan Patrick, shut up fool!

Shut Up Fool Awards- 2016 Mother's Day Weekend Edition

Sunday is Mother's Day, and it's on that day we celebrate to woman who brought us in this world, threatened to take us out of it if we were misbehaving, and played a major role in molding us into the human beings we  are today.   Some of us are still blessed to be able to pick up the phone and call or visit them, while others of us are left with photos and memories of the woman who loved and nurtured us.

Motherhood is not an easy job, and a special shoutout goes on this Mother's Day weekend to all the mothers who are raising trans kids.  It's not  easy to raise a child in the face of a world that is demonizing them and telling them every day they shouldn't exist, but they manage to not only do so, but raise a well adjusted child in the process.

Another TransGriot shoutout goes to all the trans women out there who are raising and have successfully raised kids.  Much love and props to you for doing so.

Happy Mother's day to all my TransGriot readers.   May you celebrate many more of them.

And now, let's move on from celebrating motherhood to calling out fools only their mothers could love.  It's time for this week's edition of the TransGriot Shut Up Foll Awards

Honorable mention number one is for all the BernBots still not #FeelingTheMath and holding on to the fantasy that Bernie Sanders will win the Democratic presidential nomination and spreading their Hillary hate all over the Net.

People, you're losing, nobody in the Democratic Party wants a DINO who HATES our party as its nominee.

Honorable mention number two is another group award for  all the Republicans stunned that Donald Trump became their nominee

Honorable mention number three is Missouri state Rep Tila Hubrecht (R) who stated that 'rape has a silver lining if it results in childbirth.'

Wonder if she'd feel the same way if she was the person who was sexually assaulted or a member of her family.

Honorable mention  number four  is indicted Texas AG Ken Paxton (R).  Despite having to deal with his own messes, he took time out of his busy schedule to write a letter to Target and engage in some trans bashing over their trans friendly policies.

Time to kick the TX Teapublicans out of office.

This week's SUF loser winner is a group award for the North Carolina Republicans.

They were sent a DOJ letter May 4 warning them they faced losing billions in federal funding if they didn't repeal HB 2 by Monday, and they are still doing their best George Wallace imitations.and laughingly claimed they needed time to study their options..

They also had the nerve to get indignant about being served with that DOJ letter

It only took y'all 12 hours to propose, pass and Gov. McCrory to sign Hate Bill 2, so spare us and the world the crocodile conservatears and bull feces..

We'll see how recalcitrant they'll be on Monday when they are looking at losing $861 million in school funding and $1.4 billion for the UNC system..

North Carolina Republicans, shut up fools!
