Shut Up Fool Awards- Moni's In Chicago Again Edition

Another weekend, another conference.  

This time I'm in the Windy City taking part in The National Transgender Non-Conforming Anti-Violence Convening that kicked off at 8AM and has us slated to go until 7 PM CST

It didn't help that I was up writing late Wednesday and Thursday last night and spend late, and traveling on four hours of sleep.

But it's Friday, and i still have that weekly SUF business to handle for you even thought i handling community business at this convening while you peruse this post.

So let's get to this week's fool.

It's been a while since he;s been mentioned on these Shut Up Fool pages,  but this week's loser winner is George Zimmerman.

The should have been convicted child killer opened his mouth to unleash a double dip of stupidity by claiming that it was 'God's will' the killed Trayvon and that President Obama committed a 'dereliction of duty'

“President Obama held his Rose Garden speech stating if I had a son he would look like Trayvon,” he explained. “To me, that was clearly a dereliction of duty pitting Americans against each other solely based on race.”

You know, I don't even know where to begin in calling his should be under the jail ass for even saying something so monumentally stupid.

Shut Up Fool Awards-Moni's In Snowy DC Edition

This Friday finds me waking up in a hotel room bed outside the 713 area code and inside I-495.  Thankfully it's after the 2015 Cirque de GOP, also known as the CPAC conference, has mercifully been over for a week. 

And the beautiful view that greeted me was a snow covered one of Dupont Circle.

At this moment you're reading this I'm knee deep in a Trans Persons of Color Coalition board meeting and loving every moment of it.   I'm proud and happy to be spending this time with my TPOCC family helping to chart the course of this multicultural trans organization for this and the next few years.

Speaking of stuff I'm happy to be doing is calling out every Friday the fool, fools or group of fools that have us shaking our head pondering just how they walk through life being so off the charts ignorant and stupid.

So while I handle my TPOCC meeting business, you TransGriot readers get to find out who won this week's TransGriot Shut Up Fool Awards.

Honorable mention number one is a group award for the GOP House and Speaker John Boehner for their failure to legislate and provide funding for Homeland Security

Honorable mention number two I got north of the border for and give a group award to the Canadian Senate Conservatives for stalling passage of the Trans Rights Bill for two years. and adding an amendment to it exempting C-279 from applying to public spaces including bathrooms and locker rooms.

Just another example why marginalized people all over the world hate conservatism.

Honorable mention number three is Tennessee state Rep Sheila Butt (R), who got her butt (pun intended) in trouble with a racist tweet saying it's time for an NAAWP.



Oh Sheila, you already have the National Association For The Advancement of White People.  It's called the Republican Party.  So have several seats and a nice tall sweet tea flavored glass of shut the hell up.

Honorable mention number four is the Liberty Institute.   They are doing loud and long bitching about the fact their petitions to force a May repeal referendum on the recently passed non discrimination law were rejected.  But what they fail to admit to their sheeple is the city of Plano notified the Liberty Institute three weeks before the deadline to submit the petitions they had problems, and they failed to correct the problems.

Oops.  Looks like no matter what end of I-45 they are on, the haters have a demonstrated inability to collect signatures for petition drives.

And when you attempt to dig a grave for someone, better dig one for yourselves.

Honorable mention number five is Flip Benham, who spent far more time at that Monday hearing for Charlotte's failed LGBT rights bill staked out in front of the women's bathroom oppressing trans women  and  trans kids than he did listening to the testimony of over 150 Queen City citizens expressing themselves pro and con about the ordinance.

Doesn't your perverted azz and your fellow faith based perverts have better things to do than creepily standing watch in front of the women's restroom to berate any transwoman going to piss and poop in them?

Let my trans people poop and piss in peace.

Honorable mention number six is Ben Carson, who in addition to the rants he unleashed during the Cirque de GOP, said that science needs religion to interpret it because it could be propaganda, and that prison sex  proves that being gay is a choice.

Honorable mention number seven is Andrea Shea King, who let loose a racist rant on Wing Nut Daily calling for Congressional Black Caucus legislators that boycotted Benjamin Netanyahu's speech to be hanged.

Another racist idiot with a radio show firing up the conservasheeple.   If she were thirty years younger she'd be perfect FOX Fembot material.

And y'all wonder why I continue to call the Tea Party the Tea Klux Klan.

This week's Shut Up Fool is Cal-ee-forn-ia attorney Matt McLaughlin, who has proposed a California ballot initiative, the 'Sodomite Liquidation Suppression Act'. that would if it made it to the ballot in Cali and passed, would mandate the execution of all gay peeps in the state,

Hey, I have to give him props to not only naming and claiming his hatred, he put his own money ($200) down on what he believes in.   Even if it is genocide.

And you know I gots to call his azz out on it.  Here's another example of a white conservamale wanting to oppress (and kill) somebody he doesn't like.

Never mind the fact a federal judge ruled the California death penalty was unconstitutional last June

Shut Up Fool Awards- Rodeo 2015 Edition

Yee hah!   Today happens to be Go Texan Day here in H-town.   

It's the day that all the trail rides that have been snaking their way toward Houston on horseback for the last two weeks for the rodeo parade starting tomorrow finally make it to town and their final campout at Memorial Park.

The longest of those trail rides (and the only international one) is the Los Vaqueros Rio Grande Trail Ride, which started February 5 and is a 386 mile ride starting in Reynosa, Mexico.  One of the African-American ones is the Prairie View Trail Ride, which started in 1957 and makes an 87 mile ride to Houston.

The parade is just one of the eagerly anticipated the kickoff event for the annual Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, which lasts for three weeks from March 3-22   The World Championship Barbecue Cookoff started yesterday and runs through this weekend

Since I haven't been to the rodeo since they held it in the Dome and I stopped working for the concessions company in 1986, may have to consider doing it this year. 

It's also going to be a bittersweet one for Selena fans because yesterday was the twentieth anniversary of her last concert performance which happened at the rodeo, and she shattered the attendance record she'd set the year before..

Since it's Go Texan Day, let's do our usual Shut Up Fool 'bidness' Texas style.  Time to round up and call out all the varmints that are all hat and no cattle, or just plain mind numbingly stupid.

Honorable mention number one is the delicious schadenfreude of seeing Ashlee Evans-Smth, one of Fallon Fox's loud and wrong transphobic critics, getting busted and suspended nine months for failing a post WMMA match drug test she lost

Karma is not only a you know what Ashlee, it wears a dress and stiletto heels.

Honorable mention number two is 2015 SUF Lifetime Achievement Award winner and hate pastor James David Manning.   He's bucking for 2015 SUF Of The Year honors with this latest blast of Harlem based hate by parting his big lips to unleash the f-word that rhymes with maggot.

Honorable mention number three is a group award to everyone who takes the stage at the Cirque de GOP, er CPAC conservafool confab in National Harbor, MD.

Honorable mention number four is Ron Paul, who let his white sheet show again when he said the the Congressional Black Caucus doesn't support war because they want that money for food stamps.

Naw you racist azzhole, the CBC doesn't support war because far too many of our peeps will disproportionately be dying in it while the privileged kids and conservafools like you sit on the sidelines and berate everyone who questions why we're sending our troops into combat and why.

Honorable mention number five goes to former Fashion Police host Guiliana Rancic, who let the casual racism fly when she made derogatory comments about the locs that Disney teen star Zendaya Coleman was rocking on the Oscars red carpet Sunday, then tried to make a half-assed non-apology about it that wasn't enough to save her job.   The comments also got her put on blast by Zendaya and my homegirl Danielle Moodie Mills.just for starters.  

Honorable mention number six goes to Italian gymnast Carlotta Ferlito, who proves that anti-Black attitudes and racism aren't just an American thang when she let loose during an interview in the wake of Simone Biles' historic win as the sports first ever African-American world champion this foul comment:

'I told Vanny (Ferrari) that next time we should also paint our skin black, so then we could win too.'

Naw, maybe your fifth place finishing azz needs to hit the practice gym a little harder next time and then you might have a shot at winning a medal.  

Good luck in the Rio Olympic Games next year.   (sarcasm meter on maximum)  I'm sure you'll probably be running into Simone again.

Honorable mention number seven ix goes to Texas state Rep. Debbie Riddle (Teaggger-The Woodlands) who is peddling a particularly odious brand of trans hate in my home state with the unjust HB 1748 that would not only criminalize me and other trans Texans bathroom trips, it also makes it a felony for businesses to allow us to do so.

Let's see how fast this one dies after the business community starts screaming about the possibility that if this bill passes, we'll never get another Super Bowl, NCAA Final Four, corporate relocation or major convention in this state again.

Honorable mention number eight is a group award for Texas Gov Greg Abbott (R), Lt Governor Dan Patrick (R) and all their fellow homohaters for prematurely celebrating the 10th anniversary of the passage of our unjust same sex marriage ban by cutting a cake

I say prematurely because that anniversary is not until November 2, and the SCOTUS will have something to say about whether this amendment lives until then.

And yeah, peep what Texas state Rep Senfronia Thompson (D-Houston) had to say about it from the floor of the Texas House ten years ago.

Honorable mention number nine is Nevada Assemblywoman Michelle Fiore (R) who is living up to every stereotype about blondes by parting her lips to say that cancer is a fungus that simply needs to be washed out.  

Seriously?   And you run a healthcare company?   This is a prime example peeps of the quality of legislator you get when you sit your liberal-progressive asses at home on Election Day

This week's Shut Up Fool winner is Michigan pediatrician Dr. Vesna Roi, who thinks her religious beliefs trump the Hippocratic Oath she took as a physician

In a disgusting display of medical homophobia and breach of medical ethics, 'Dr'. Roi refused back in October to treat Bay Contreras because her parents, Jami and Krista Contreras were lesbians

BREACHED:  American Medical Association Principle of Medical Ethics I. A physician shall be dedicated to providing competent medical care, with compassion and respect for human dignity and rights.
BREACHED:  American Medical Association Principle of Medical Ethics X. A physician shall support access to medical care for all people.

That it not what you exhibited in this case.  And Dr. Roi, you graduated from Michigan State University to get your medical education, which by the way is an institution supported by the tax dollars of gay and straight Michigan residents.

You can point to the loophole in the American Medical Association ethics that states physicians cannot refuse to care for patients based on sexual orientation, but doctors can refuse treatment if it's incompatible with their personal, religious or moral beliefs all day long, but.when you are advertising that you are accepting new patients, you need to treat EVERY patient that respectfully walks through your door for your medical expertise.

Some of those patients will be LGBT people. 

And no letter or weasel worded interpretation of AMA ethics can wash away the fact Dr. Roi that you are a homophobe and an oppressor, and I sincerely question what God you actually serve.  Because the one I worship hates bigotry, discrimination and oppression.

This is is the idiocy and dehumanizing discrimination that consevrafool 'right to discriminate' laws seeks to implement around the country,  Hell no do I and other reality based Americans wish to see nouveau Jim Cow bullshit and oppression desecrate this country again.

Shut Up Fool Awards-Whitewashed Oscars Edition

This weekend the melanin free Oscars will take place on Sunday, and I won't be watching them.

Yep, still pissed that Selma didn't get more of the nominations it deserved and Ava Duvernay didn't get what would have been a historic  Best Director nod.

Instead I'll be revealing at 7:00 PM CST this year's 2015 class of Shut Up Fool Lifetime Achievement Awards winners.

So let's get busy calling out this week's cavalcade of fool, fools or group of fools.

Honorable mention number one is to the still unknown idiots who held up the WHITE POWER signs at the Flower Mound-Plano East HS basketball game.

You're going to make fine future Republicans.  Hopefully the LISD will find you and you'll be learning the lesson of taking personal responsibility for your reprehensible behavior.that has given your school a (pun intended) national black eye.

Honorable mention number two is Charles Barkley for cooning it up and saying a series of stupid stuff that will probably guarantee him an appearance at the 2016 Republican Convention next to Stacey Dash, and Dr Ben Carson. 

Honorable mention number three is Dinesh D'Souza for his racist attacks on President Obama.  You can take the conservafool convicted felon out of India, but.....

Honorable mention number four is a group one we go across The Pond for.   It's for all the nekulturny Chelsea soccer fans who while in Paris for a Euroleague match involving their beloved club thought they were back in England, reverted to their racist hooligan roots and refused to let Black Parisians on their own subway trains while proudly singing 'we're racist and that's the way we like it.'.


Unfortunately for them FIFA has a Say No To Racism campaign that is striving to eradicate it from the sport.   The cool thing is the Chelsea Football Club swiftly condemned their fans for their behavior, and will permanently ban those people deemed responsible with lifetime ticket sales bans.

Honorable mention number five is Pope Francis, who did his Pope Benedict impression and compared trans people to nuclear weapons mere weeks after inviting a trans man to the Pope Palace, for a private gathering

I'm really hating Paul McHugh for injecting trans hate at the Vatican level.

Honorable mention number six is Nevada state legislator Michelle Fiore (R)  who said while trying to rationalize her bill allowing guns on college campuses, "Hot little girls on campus need guns to prevent rape."

And this is what happens when you get GOP controlled legislatures.

Honorable mention number seven is Rudy '9-11'  Giuliani, who let loose with a series of racist comments aimed at President Obama, then when the backlash started to hit him tried to claim his comments weren't racist because ' Obama has a white mother.'

Seriously?   Rudy, sit your old drag queen ass down and have several sections of seats in Yankee Stadium for even parting your lips to say that weak azz BS.

Honorable mention number eight is FOX Noise commentator Erick Erickson, who combined Islamophobia and homophobia in one comment when he parted his lips to compare gay activists to ISIS

Honorable mention number nine goes to Kanye West for his problematic Power 105 interview that seems to condone pedophilia and slut shames his ex Amber Rose.

Dude, I be careful who I slut shame when your own wife rose to fame by releasing a sex tape with Brandy's little brother and was with multiple partner before you got to cop a feel on her fake cakes on a regular basis.

Honorable mention number ten is Pamela Gellar, who is pouring gasoline on the racist Islamophobic hate being stirred up in conservafool ranks in Texas by organizing a contest to draw the Prophet Muhammad.

I repeat, what is it about you white conservafools?  Do you have a deep seated need to racistly oppress people?

Upcoming 2015 SUF Lifetime Achievement Awards- Who Will Win?

I've been doing the TransGriot Shut Up Fool weekly awards for now six years, and it is overwhelmingly the most popular feature on my now nine year old blog.

It became so popular that it spawned the Shut Up Fool of the Year Award that I give out every New Year's Eve.

There are just fools among us who repeatedly exhibit their world class levels of stupidity and rank hypocrisy so often that a Shut Up Fool Weekly Award or a Shut Up Fool of the Year just doesn't do them justice.  

So during Oscar Weekend 2010 I started giving out a SUF Lifetime Achievement Award, with Rush Limbaugh being honored with the first ever well deserved SUF Lifetime Achievement Award

Shut Up Fool Awards-February 2015 Friday The 13th Edition

It's not just a Friday, it's Friday the 13th.   

It's a day made notable by superstition and the string of horror movies by the same name.

But Friday for you TransGriot readers also means that I get to do my usual business of chronicling the mind blowing stupidity that runs amok in our world.

And let's get to our latest spine chilling episode of the TransGriot Shut Up Fool Awards.

Honorable mention number one is a group award for the Dallas Police and Fire Pension Board for their cowardly punting instead of leading on the issue of providing benefits to same-gender loving couples.

Honorable mention number two is Montana state Rep David Moore (R-Missoula), who continued the GOP War On Women by filing a bill to outlaw any nipple exposure by men or women, along with any clothing that “gives the appearance or simulates” the buttocks, genitals, pelvic area, or female nipple.

So ladies, don't wear your yoga pants in Montana, you could be arrested and jailed for it.

Honorable mention number three is the now fired Sony exec Amy Pascal, for her problematic remarks about paying female Hollywood stars equally in this Tina Brown interview.

Honorable mention number four goes to Tennessee state legislator Jerry Sexton.  This teapublican wants to make the Bible the official state book.   Never mind the fact that the Tennessee constitution states "no preference shall ever be given, by law, to any religious establishment or mode of worship."

Honorable mention number five is Teapublican legislator Frank Artiles, who doubled down on pimping his unjust HB 583 that criminalizes transpeeps going to relive themselves in the restroom by ignorantly stating in a BuzzFeed interview that using the restroom is a choice for trans people.

Naw you vanillacentric privileged conservasshole, it's a biological necessity.

You can also start the process of being agents of your own liberation and letting my people pee by signing this Change.org petition protesting Artiles' dehumanizing and jacked up bill.

Honorable mention number six is SC senator Thomas Corbin (R), who referred to women while opposing a bill that makes it harder for people who commit domestic violence to acquire a handgun as 'lesser cuts of meat' along with other sexist remarks.

This waste of DNA is also a lesser cut of meat:  A male chauvinist pig

Honorable mention number seven is Supreme Court Justice Injustice Antonin Scalia, who whined about being seen as anti-gay.

Too late for that, dude.  You're not only seen as anti-gay, you're also by your SCOTUS rulings, spoken words and dissents and opinions also seen as anti-woman, anti-Latino, anti-Black.....

This week's Shut Up Fool winner is Alabama Supreme Court Chief Justice  Injustice Roy Moore.  He's proudly letting his homobigot flag fly by initiating Massive Resistance 2.0 against a federal judge's ruling striking down the Alabama constitutional amendment banning SGL marriage.

In addition to ordering Massive Resistance 2.0 in defiance of the federal court ruling while citing that bogus 'states rights' bullshit they lost on the War To Perpetuate Slavery battlefields 150 years ago, he bristled at a comparison of him and another Alabama civil rights oppressor in George Wallace,and claimed he had many friends who are homosexual.

Oh really Roy?  They must be Log Cabin sellouts or GOProud.

Yes, you are just like George Wallace was in 1963, a human rights oppressor.   Deal with it   Something else that I have noted in my five decades on this space rock about haters and oppressors is that all of them claim to have friends in the marginalized group they gleefully oppress.

Shut Up Fool Awards-Rocky Mountain High Edition

As many of you TransGriot readers are well aware of, I'm in Denver for Creating Change 2015. 

I'm having a wonderful time connecting with all my peeps in the movement while getting my learn on about stuff that will make me an even better human rights advocate when I return to the Lone Star State.

And naw, I haven't hit the dispensaries selling Colorado's newest cash crop while I been up here, but I am aware that other attendees have.

I have my own Slurpee addiction I'm satisfying to the point the clerks at the 7-Eleven across the street from the hotel know me by name. 

But this is also Friday, and that means I have my usual TransGriot business of calling out the fool, fools or group o fools that have kept this staple feature of my blog going for six years and counting.

So let's get to this week's fools

Honorable mention number one is Rafael Cruz, daddy of the junior fool senator from Alberta,  Daddy Cruz parted his lips to say in attacking the HERO that allowing transpeeps to use public restrooms will bring on the Apocalypse.

Um Rafael, transpeople have been using public restrooms for 54 years now, so your comment if it were on Politifact would be rated Liar Liar Pants on Fire.

Honorable mention number two is Bud Roth.  He is the Franklin County VA official who seems to think his religious beliefs trump the law and have no right to get married

I guess your next step to bring back the good old days of pre Loving v Virginia and bar interracial couples from getting married, too

Honorable mention number three is Alex Jones.  In another episode of white male conservafool gone off the rails, while trying to defend Sen. Rand Paul's disastrous performance on reporter Kelly Evens CNBC show when he shushed her on air, he called her a slut and a whore for simply doing her job of calling him out over his anti-vaccine pandering.

Honorable mention number four is a group award to all the conservafools who went batturd cray-cray over President Obama's remarks at the National Prayer Breakfast that reminded the christobigots that Christianity also has a violent streak in terms of the Crusades

Honorable mention number five is ATLAH pastor James David Manning.   In his January 30 message contaminating YouTube he asserted that Justin Bieber was a girl who cut off her breasts because the POTUS' evil spirits misled him.

Hey, I'm just reporting. You decide how idiotic it is.   




Aww, you mad because you ain't Justin Bieber's type?   Why don't you give Donnie McClurkin a call if you're itching to go out on a date with some masculine company?  

Honorable mention number six is Dr Jack Wolfson, the anti-vaxx idiot who said in a CNN interview that he didn't care if his unvaccinated kids gave others preventable communicable diseases that made them gravely ill.

Umm Arizona, can we revoke his medical license please?

Honorable mention number seven is Utah state rep Brian Greene (R) who questioned during a Utah House debate on a bill sponsored by Rep Angela Romero (D) to make having sex with an unconscious person a crime if it was actually rape.



I'll answer that question for you Rep. Greene.   If she doesn't or can't give consent, it's rape.

I'll bet if your daughter was the unconscious woman who was not in a position to consent to have sex, you'd be singing a different tune about that

This week's Shut Up fool winner is West Virginia state Delegate Brian Kurcaba.   This Republifool went into Todd Akins mode and asserted that rape can be beautiful if a child come out of it.

Time for me to go into Maya Wilkes mode.

Bet your ass wouldn't think it was so beautiful if you were the one who was sexually assaulted and you were forced to carry your rapist's child.

And these are the type of idiots y'all gave the power to write legislation in West Virginia.

Shut Up Fool Awards-Happy 6th Anniversary Edition

It was on this date in 2009 that one of the regular features on this blog that you TransGriot readers have come to know and love is my weekly Shut Up Fool awards in which I shine a bright spotlight on hypocrisy, stupidity, and jaw dropping ignorance.

The inaugural fool I selected as the Shut Up Fool Awards weekly winner was FOX Noise's Juan Williams    
The weekly SUF feature grew into the Shut Up Fool of the Year Awards that I reveal on New Year's Eve, and the upcoming Shut Up Fool Lifetime Achievement Awards.

During Oscars weekend I select five people or groups and retire them from weekly SUF award consideration unless they do something so breathtakingly jacked up I just have to call them out on it. 

But let's get to this week's anniversary edition fool, shall we?

Honorable mention number one is every conservafool who spoke at Rep. Steve King's (R-IA) Freedom Summit.

Honorable mention number two is Sarah Palin.   The 2010 Shut Up Fool of the Year winner not only killed her 2016 GOP presidential nomination chances with a rambling disjointed speech, after holding up a Ready For Hillary car magnet, the pro-Hillary PAC raised $25,000, enough to qualify Palin for national finance chair status.

Honorable mention number three is a local one for FOX 26 'News' stenographer Damali Keith, for two transphobic reports this week that repeated the discredited trans bathroom predator lie and the lies of the HERO opponents with the trial about the ordinance just starting.

Honorable mention number four Pat Robertson.   He advised a fiscally struggling senior to take out a reverse mortgage on her home in order to pay 700 666 Club dues.

Honorable mention number five is faith based hater James David Manning, who admitted what many of us suspected already when he stated he'd been 'tempted by the gay lifestyle'

Dude, you're probably still hitting New York's gay hotspots to chase the boys.   Somebody please take a photo of this closet queen out and about in the gayborhood.

Honorable mention number six is all the University of Michigan frats and sororities involved in #CrimingWhileWhite and destroying two ski resorts.

Honorable mention number seven is Shepard Smith, who is whining about FOX Noise not being considered a legitimate news outlet.

Honorable mention number eight is Texas State Rep Don Huffines, who is trying to tap into his inner homobigot and file unjust legislation to roll back LGBT human rights laws in the Lone Star State.

Somebody needs to make sure this Teabagger isn't doing any wide stances in state capitol bathrooms.

Honorable mention number nine is Ben Carson.   He continues to be the frontrunner for the 2015 SUF of the Year award and coon it up for his conservamassas at the FreeDUMB Summit by putting a new twist in their tired cake analogy by claiming that anti-gay marriage bakers would poison the cake.

Honorable mention number ten is 2014 SUF of the Year winner Rep. Louie Gohmert  (R-TX), who parted his lips to say that God would punish America for the jacked up diplomatic relationship between Netanyahu and President Obama.

He also kept the momentum for a repeat SUF Of the Yerr Win \going by parting his lips to say after a federal abortion restriction bill failed that Republican females made the GOP look bad.

Dude, that ship sailed in 1964, and it's you Republican males that have done far more damage to the GOP brand than any of your wacky GOP females like Sarah Palin, Michele Bachmann, Joni Ernst, Virginia Foxx, Marsha Blackburn....

This week's shut up fool winner is Milwaukee County (WI) Sheriff David Clarke, who did his best Uncle Ruckus impression on FOX  Noise and blamed the NAACP and Black single mothers for police shootings of unarmed Black men and boys.

How about putting the blame where it really lies, too many trigger happy racist cops instead of attacking single mothers .

Shut Up Fool Awards-Chain Of Fools Edition

If the title of this week's Shut Up Fool Awards sounds familiar, it's borrowed from a classic Grammy Award winning Aretha Franklin song that was released in November 1967.   

Chain of Fools went number one on the R&B chart for four weeks and hit number two on the pop chart in January 1968 for two weeks.   It later won the Grammy for Best Female R&B Vocal Performance.

So let's get to our usual Friday business of calling out a seemingly unbroken chain of fools for this week's awards.

Honorable Mention number one is Sen. Joni Ernst (Teabagger-IA).  She claimed during her State of the Union rebuttal speech infomercial that she grew up poor, but family got over $460K in federal farm subsidies.

Honorable mention number two  is our fave Oklahoma homobigot in state Rep. Sally Kern.    She's Exhibit A of my repeated statement that most dangerous bigot is the one with the power to write legislation. 

Sally's in the news again by pushing a trio of bills that would make it extremely difficult for LGBT people to live in Oklahoma.   Never mind the fact the hypocrite has a gay son and was officially rebuked by her House colleagues for uttering racist and misogynistic remarks..

Still haven't given up on your dream of making Oklahoma LGBT free, eh Frau Kern?

Honorable Mention number three is Patsy Keever.   She's running for the chair of the NC Democratic Party along with trans candidate Janice Covington Allison, and let loose an anti-trans insult at a candidate forum in Gastonia, NC on Tuesday.

Honorable mention number four is Hugh Taylor, the superintendent (R) of the DeKalb County AL schools who refused to let high school classes see the movie Selma because 'it's full of filthy language'.

But if that high school history teacher had requested to see Birth Of A Nation, you be all in for that huh?

Honorable mention number five is Mike Huckabee, for his racist hatin' on Bey Bey and other crimes against common sense..

Honorable mention number six is Dave Wilson, who is trying to get an anti-trans Houston City Charter amendment on the ballot that would fix gender identity at birth based on genitalia despite all the modern scientific evidence to the contrary.

And I had to have somebody from Texas on the list this week.

In another sterling  example of why the most dangerous bigot is the one with the power to write legislation, this TeapubliKKKan parted his lips on C-SPAN to say that the minimum wage should be kept at $7 a hour for minorities because 'they aren't worth more than that.'



And racist conservative white male Republican congressmembers aren't worth the $175K in taypayer dollars we pay y'all, and I hope and pray the minority voters unfortunate enough to live in your congressional district vote your azz out next year.

The folks in Seattle have just blown up all your GOP arguments for not raising the minimum wage, because business is booming in that city because workers have money in their pockets. 

Even President Franklin D. Roosevelt back in 1936 knew what the key to a booming American economy was (and still is) and you Republicans are too stupid to realize it. 

Give American workers a living wage that allows them to pay their bills, save and have some extra disposable income to spend and they will put it back in the American economy.

Shut Up Fool Awards-King Day Weekend 2015 Edition

The Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Holiday will be on Monday, an as per the tradition many groups are preparing to do a day of service to fit the spirit of the holiday.

I usually spend it reading some of his essays and in quiet contemplation.  I think about how much human rights progress has been (or has not been) made and what I need to do to push it forward.

Of course I try to do that on a regular basis, but the King Day Weekend just lends itself to that kind of internal introspection.

And speaking of weekends, guess what day it is?    Naw, do you see a camel here?   It's Friday, and time to name this week's fool, fools or group of fools in our weekly TransGriot exercise we call the Shut Up Fool Awards. 

Let's get busy calling them out shall we?

Honorable mention number one is the Academy for its lily white Oscar nominations that did not issue a single nomination to any actor of color and the nekulturny timing of doing so on the Rev Dr Martin Luther King Jr's 86th birthday.

The outrage over the snubbing cause them to get called out by Black Twitter in the #OscarsSoWhite hashtag that became for several hours the number one trending topic.

Guess when they pass out the goodie bag at the Oscar ceremonies, they'll contain a DVD copy of 'Birth of A Nation'

Honorable mention number two is a group award for the King Children.    Martin III and Dexter are fighting Bernice in court over control of their late father's 1964 Nobel Peace Prize and his traveling Bible, which was used in the 2013 swearing in of President Barack Obama.

Dr King left no will at the time of his 1968 assassination, and the surviving King siblings have joint custody of the estate.   The King traveling Bible is estimated to be worth $5-10 million, while some of Dr. King's papers have gone for as much as $30 million at auction.

Dexter and Marty III want to sell them, while Bernice doesn't.

"There is no justification for selling either of these sacred items," Bernice King wrote in a 2014 statement. "They are priceless and should never be exchanged for money in the marketplace. While I love my brothers dearly, this latest decision by them ... reveals a desperation beyond comprehension."

And just looks ratchet.

Honorable mention number three goes to Gordon Klingenschmitt and Bill Warner, for parting their racist lips on Klingenschmitt's radio program to say that President Obama is 'the face of Islam in America.'




And you two are the face of conservaignorance in America.

Honorable mention number four goes to Jan Morgan.   This Arkansas ammosexual and Islamophobe has declared the Gun Cave gun range she owns to be a 'Muslim-free zone', and racistly turned away two brown skinned South Asian descended people who aren't Muslims away from it.

If you two South Asians voted GOP last November, now you see how much the National Conservative White People's Party really loves you and supports your Second Amendment rights.

Honorable mention number five goes to ex-teabagging congressman and deadbeat dad Joe Walsh.  He crawled out from under his conservarock to state that he hopes that' CNN and MSNBC pundits are beheaded' by Jihadists for not showing the Charlie Hebdo cartoon that elements of the Muslim community consider an insult to their faith, then tried to claim it was 'satire'..

Yeah right, that what all you white wing idiots say when your mouths get you embroiled in controversy.

Honorable mention number six is  David Brooks, who parted his lips and let something stupid fly out of it on NBC's Meet the Press on Sunday.    He state that liberals should stop giving money to charity and to the police.. 

WTF?

Honorable mention number seven goes to Kentucky state rep CM Embry (R), who filed a bill that he gave the Orwellian name of the Kentucky Student Privacy Act .   If passed, this unconstitutional bill would force trans students to use restrooms and locker room facilities that don't match their presentation.

Don't y'all have more pressing state business to deal with in this short session like the budget instead of worrying about what bathroom a transperson uses?

Honorable mention number eight  is New Hope Ministries in Denver, CO.  They cancelled a funeral for 33 year old Vanessa Collier as the family was waiting for it to start because they found out the deceased was a lesbian

This week's Shut Up Fool Award goes to  Dr. Ben Carson.  

He was the runner up for last year's Shut Up Fool of the Year award, and he's getting this 2015 Shut Up Fool Of The Year campaign off to a flying start by comparing the Revolutionary War patriots to the ISIS terrorists.

Then when the WTF backlash started happening, he asserted that he wasn't crazy and resorted to blaming the media for his negative image.  

You're a kneegrow Republican, I beg to differ. 

And as you and your conservafool friends like to sneer at others, why don't you take some personal responsibility for your failures and the jacked up stuff you've been spouting?

You also get an Uncle Ruckus Award  and a Negro Iz U Sirius!!! Award for the coonery you are engaged in so you can try and fail to get the GOP nomination for president.

The National Conservative White People's Party does not want your kneegrow (you don't deserve to be called Black) behind at the head of their ticket.   Even if by some miracle you got it  in 2016, reality based Black folks aren't voting for you.

Shut Up Fool Awards-Baby It's C-C-Cold Outside Edition

The blast of Arctic air that has made the last few days miserable for my friends in much of the country has finally made it to my Lone Star neck of the woods.

When I attended the Justice Coalition town hall last night, while we didn't have the high winds that were exacerbating the cold in other parts of the county, the lack of cloud cover ensured that I and 'errbody' else in H-town was going to have a very chilly night and a cold for Houston Friday.

The high temp for today is only predicted to be 41 degrees with a 50% chance of liquid snow (AKA rain) for later tonight.  While you peeps in Chicago and elsewhere are sneering "Is that all?", that's enough to get me and everyone else here in H-town reaching for our cold weather gear.

It's time for our usual Friday business of calling out the fool, fools or group of fools that exhibited Shut Up Fool award worthy stupidity, arrogance or hypocrisy.

So let's get to it.

Honorable mention number one is a group award for the Congressional Republican Majority who are already trying to pass their reactionary agenda, trying to claim credit for the improving economy when they had absolutely nothing to do with it, and blame President Obama for the massacre in Paris.

Honorable mention number two is a group award for Russia for continuing the Scott Lively instigated anti-LGBT campaign they have enthusiastically been implementing by issuing a decree that bans people with disorders of sexual preference from driving

It relies heavily on the ICD-10, the current edition of the World Health Organization’s manual for classifying illnesses formally known as the International Statistical Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems.   Insurers also use the ICD for coding purposes.

Laws like this demonizing and othering a group is how genocide begins.

Because the Russians did this, it adds more urgency for the international trans community effort underway to have transsexuality removed as a disorder when the ICD-11 comes out sometime this year.

Honorable mention number three goes to Gina Miller, who wrote a column on the Leela Alcorn situation in which she stated that it shows the 'tragic folly of the transgender delusion'.

Your column shows the tragic folly of calling you a Christian.

Honorable mention number four is Richard Dawkins, who in the wake of the Charlie Hebdo terror massacre in Paris went on an anti-Islam Twitter rant blaming it on the entire religion.

There's another religion that has its fair share of extremists, and many of them look just like you Mr. Dawkins.   It' s called Christianity.

Honorable mention number five is a group award for FOX Noise for doing their usual race baiting, Islamophobic hatin'  and Obama bashing in relation to the Paris terror attacks,  and pimp gun ownership at the same time.

This week's Shut Up Fool winner I'm going old school for this one in Phyllis Schafly.  

She rolled up out of her conservacrypt to post some crap on WingNutDaily stating that campus sex assault is on the rise because too many women go to college.

WTF?   Where are the TERF's protesting this enemy to women when you need them?   Never mind the fact her hypocritical ass has BA and JD degrees from St. Louis'  Washington University and an MA from Radcliffe College.   

What that tells me is that Title IX is doing its job., and that's to be celebrated, not condemned.   If you and your conservative friends  don't like the fact that women are getting 'edjumacated', too damned bad.

Shut Up Fool Awards-First Fool Of 2015 Edition

It's the first Friday of 2015, and even though it's been a slow news week, somebody out there was exhibiting for folks  mind numbing stupidity, gleeful hypocrisy, and WTF moments that make you shake your head.

And it is my proud duty every Friday on these TransGriot electronic pages to gleefully point them out.

So let's get started selecting our first fool (or fools) of the new year shall we?

Honorable mention number one is a group award for FOX Noise.  They decided to make a foray into social media and ask people what they were over in 2014 with the #OverIt2014 hashtag.   Guess they forgot that social media is overwhelmingly liberal progressive turf and it backfired badly on them.

Honorable mention number two is a group award for Target.   As part of the promotional blitz for the just released remake of Annie featuring Quvenzhane Wallis and Jamie Foxx, a line of clothing inspired by the movie has whitewashed instore ads.  

Here's the Change.org petition protesting the ads.

That boneheaded move was not only a dumb one in a time of heightened racial animus in this country, but was insulting to Quvenzhane and my community. who may I remind you, spends lots of money in Target stores around the nation and is projected to have $1.1 trillion dollars of spending power in 2015..

Honorable mention number three is R Kelly for parting his lips to say that Bill Cosby is a pervert who belongs in prison.    So sayeth the fool that married a 15 year old Aaliyah and videotaped himself allegedly peeing on a then 13 year old girl.

The only reason your azz isn't in jail is because you had a good attorney

Honorable mention number four is Rudy Giuliani, who continues to pander and parted his loud and wrong mouth to say that NYC mayor Bill DeBlasio should apologize to the NYPD.


For what?   You need to have several sections of seats in Yankee Stadium and STFU with that nonsense.   If an apology is owed, it's from the NYPD and their union leadership to the mayor.

This week's first Shut Up Fool Award of 2015 goes to Rep Steve Scalise (R-LA). The soon to be number 3 man in the House leadership is in hot water over a 2002 speaking appearance in front of a white supremacist group helmed by David Duke.

I'm not buying the toro poo poo you're trying to sell to the nation that you didn't know the group you keynote spoke in front of in 2002 was helmed by David Duke.  

It's also problematic to your claim that 'you're not a racist' that as a Louisiana legislator  you voted twice against establishing a MLK holiday in the state and have an 'F' grade on the NAACP Congressional Report card

What is a fact it that once more it provides irrefutable evidence that no matter how many times y'all try to hold Mia Love  and Tim Scott up as a human shields, the Republican Party as current constituted is the political arm of whiteness and white supremacy.   The only way that perception will change is when the GOP actually pursues policies that help instead of harm my community.

And oh yeah, Rep. Scalise, shut up fool.

Shut Up Fool Awards-Creeping Closer To Christmas Edition

Well peeps, only 13 more days until the Festival of Conspicuous Consumption (AKA Christams) arrives.   I 'm doing double duty in the shopping department looking for stuff to set up my apartment with and presents for my nieces and close friends and family.

There are two peeps however who will be getting a lump of coal if that much from me on December 25.

Honorable Mention number one is the not so dynamic duo of Craig James and Peter Sprigg.  The FRC spokesoppressors were hatin' on transpeeps for the holidays by suggesting a federal gender identity constitutional amendment be passed to roll back the human rights of trans people.

I got a constitutional amendment for you.  How about one that bans the use of constitutional  amendments or referendums to roll back people's human rights?

Honorable Mention number two is Geraldo Rivera, who sold out to his Fox Noise paymasters and joined in the faux vanillacentric outrage over the 'I Can't Breathe' shirts that many NBA and other pro athletes are starting to wear in solidarity over the Garner case.

Geraldo, how about a nice tall glass of shut the hell up?

Honorable Mention number three is a group award to everyone in Fayetteville, AR who drank the right wing Kool-Aidl voted to repeal the just passed in August non discrimination ordinance expanding coverage to LGBT people.  That'll make the University of Arkansas' job of attracting LGBT scholarsand students much harder.

Time to modify the calling of the hogs cheer .   Boooooooooooooooooooo  Pig Sooie.

Honorable Mention number four is my governor until January, Rick Perry, who opened his mouth and let something else stupid fly out of it by claiming the Bible proves that poverty is inevitable.

Something else that is inevitable is a Texas Republican saying something, sexist, bigoted, racist or off the charts stupid.

Honorable Mention number five is a group award for every GOP legislator filing or trying to pass 'right to discriminate bills.  For all you peeps who sat out the November election, this is the bullcrap you enabled when you refused to participate in the election.

This week's Shut Up Fool winner, just to point out that my search for fools is international,  we go all the way to New Zealand for 

This week's winner is Logan Robertson, the pastor of a church in Auckland, NZ who sent a hate-filled e-mail to prominent gay Christian author Jim Marjoram in which he 'prays he commits suicide'.

How sad.  Another hate pastor who worships Conservagod.   All I have to say is that some of you good christians are going to be very surprised who gets Left Behind.

I pray that Robertson repents and gets over his foaming at the mouth homophobia.   But somehow I doubt that's gonna happen anytime soon with this christohater..

Shut Up Fool Awards-Moni's Leaving New York Edition

I'm at LaGuardia airport about to take a flight back home to Texas after spending a little over 24 hours here in New York as part of an empowering Arcus Foundation trans media think tank event.

Enjoyed spending quality time with some amazing trans community leaders. It ws also fun to see some  old friends, and meeting people for the first time that I've known forever online or on Facebook.  It was also great seeing some of my New York area friends like Kimberley McLeod and my Houston expat homegirl Stacey Langley

But my life in Houston setting up my new apartmenand post-flight barbecue at Hobby awaits.

As you longtime TransGriot readers know, it's Friday, and it's Itime for me to call out some fools.  Speaking of fools, on New Year's Eve I'll announce who will be the 2014 Shut Up Fool Of The Year, so get those nominations into me before Christmas Day.

Honorable mention number one is to the white couple in NYC who mocked Eric Garner's death by police chokehold while Allison Kaden was doing a news report



You peeps and your ugly attitudes are why we continue to have race relation problems in this country.

Honorable mention number two is Rudy Giuliani for his fracked up comment that "Black people need to stop making White police officers shoot them."  More like White police officers need to stop shooting and killing unarmed Black people.   He then doubled down on it by calling Mayor Bill DeBlasio as the 'real racist' 

Somebody punch that old bigoted crossdresser in the face, please.

Honorable mention number three we go overseas to Latvia for.  Inga Priede is learning the hard way about Godwin's Law after she was forced to resign after tweeting 'Thank God The Nazis shot gays' during a debate with MPs from her party about same sex relationships

Honorable mention number four is Hooks, TX ISD board member Chris Harris for his Facebook post featuring a Klansman standing with arms folded stating "I'm dreaming of a white Christmas".

And what I want for Christmas is your resignation from the HISD school board.

Honorable mention number five is Rev. Stacey Swimp.  He is responsible for killing a proposed  Michigan non-discrimination law  because in his loud and wrong opinion LGBT people haven't suffered enough.

Honorable mention number six is the Staten Island Grand Jury.   What video were you fools watching that caused you to come to the conclusion not to indict NYPD officer Daniel Pantaleo in the Eric Garner case?

This Bible thumping idiot called for the extermination of LGBT people if the planet wants an AIDS-free world.

Shut Up Fool Awards-Post Turkey Day 2014 Edition

It's the day after Turkey Day, and some of you are probably at the nearest mall grabbing up stuff on sale or are resting because you had way too much to eat and drink yesterday.

But as you know, it's Friday, and it's time to call out this week's fool, fools or group of fools, that made themselves look like turkeys for Thanksgiving with their ignorance and stupidity for the whole world to see.

So let's get busy!

The special Jive Turkey 2014 Award goes to every retailer who forced their employees to come in for work yesterday just to get a jump on the holiday buying season..   

Honorable mention number one is Rep. Peter King (R-NY) ,who parted his lips to suggest that President Obama invite child killing Ferguson cop Darren Wilson to the White House.

I''d need a new post to point out how stupid and clueless he sounds for even suggesting that.

Honorable mention number two is Texas state Rep Dan Flynn (R) who has filed an unconstitutional bill to create a 'Joint Legislative Committee On Nullification'

Um dude, you lost the Civil War.  Get over it.   But this is the crazy you unleashed when those of you who didn't vote and were able to chose not to do so.

Honorable mention number three is incoming Texas state Rep Molly White (R) who had two abortions,but is hypocritically going to push in this upcoming session to restrict other Texas women's access to the procedures she's had.

Honorable mention number four is soon to be ex-Ferguson killer cop Darren Wilson for a too long list of stupid comments.

Honorable mention number five is every fool who trampled or fought with someone during the after Thanksgiving sales.   It ain't that serious people.

Honorable mention number six is Julius Hatfield, the Southeast Bullitt County fire chief in Bullitt County, KY just south of Louisville.   Bullitt County is where many of the bigots ran when Louisville got 'too ethnic' for them    He was recorded by a Bullitt County sheriff's deputy's body camera after an accident on I-65 in September that involved a white motorist and a Black family from Ohio as saying 'We ain't taking no n*****s".

His department is under investigation for misappropriation of funds by the  state of Kentucky, so he may get what's coming to him anyway.


This week's Shut Up Fool Award is to St Louis County DA Bob McCullouch for not doing his job in indicting Darren Wilson, and then blaming everyone except the person in the mirror during his Monday press conference for his doing everything possible so that a Wilson indictment for the murder by po-po  of Mike Brown wouldn't happen.

Your actions in this case are why African-Americans continue to have little faith in the criminal justice system, especially on cases like this.

It's also why Ferguson experienced more rioting within hours after your announcement of the non-indictment

Just shut up racist fool and refrain from even saying anything else again about this case.

Shut Up Fool Awards-TDOR Weekend 2014 Edition

This weekend all over the planet our trans community and our allies are pausing to remember our trans brothers and trans sisters around the world who have lost their lives due to anti-transgender violence.

These Transgender Day Of Remembrance events have be held around the world around the November 20 date of  TDOR and continue through Sunday in many locales including Houston.

The HTUC organized TDOR will take place tomorrow at the AD Bruce Religion Center on the University of Houston campus starting at 6:30 PM, and there will be a Transgender Outreach Service Sunday featuring Rev Carmarion Anderson at Progressive Open Door Christian Center on the TSU campus. 

Whether it's TDOR or whatever other event, my usual Friday TransGriot business of calling out fools happens.   So let's get to it.

Special Drop Dead Fools award for all the peeps who murdered my trans sisters around the world who so far have eluded prosecution for it or got a slap on the legal wrist. 

May you rot in hell for what you've done, and may it be sooner rather than later.

Honorable mention number one goes to the as yet still unidentified Norfolk, VA school official who let loose a racist tweet that called young Black men a 'nightmare' for fathers of young white women.

It led to a Monday walkout of Black students at Booker T Washington HS. 

I think you got it twisted.  It is white men of who are a nightmare for young Black men.   As the families of Trayvon Martin and Michael brown.


Honorable mention number two is Don Lemon.   He regurgitated more of his bitter CNN Lemon-aid when he made a victim blaming comment to a woman who has accused Bill Cosby of rape



Honorable mention number three is Kentucky's junior senator Rand Paul, who claimed that no one in Congress has done more for minority and ethnic rights than he has.

After I laugh my ass off at the incredible ignorance of that statement, may I point out Senator Paul, that you are not even close to being Rep. John Lewis (D-GA) who too a beatdown from the Alabama State Gestapo Police at the Edmund Pettus Bridge for voting rights and was a Freedom Rider. 

So have several seats in the House and Senate chambers and never part your lips to say something that stupid again.

Honorable mention number four is one in which we go to the Houston area for and roast Kelley's Country Cooking.   Instead of standing up for 19 year old Blake Butler after a homophobic customer wrote on their receipt, “Don’t want to listen to a f*ggot through my whole meal,” the restaurant's manager instead APOLOGIZED to the homophobe. 

WTF?  Do fries go with that homophobia?

This week's Shut Up Fool Winner is incoming Nevada Speaker of the House Ira Hansen

Remember when I urged peeps to run, not walk to the polls and many of you sat your asses at home anyway?  

Well, this is what your lack of attention to your civic duty got elected in Nevada.   A longtime unrepentant racist who has a long history of homophobic, racist and sexist statements will now that the GOP has control of the House.has the political power to mess with the lives of many Nevadans he doesn't like.

Hansen let loose with this latest racist statement that Democrats 'have a master-slave relationship with simple minded darkies'

Again with the plantation references.   And you wonder why I call the Republican Party the political arm of whiteness and white supremacy.   They keep proving it every day.

Shut Up Fool Awards- Moni's In Dallas Again Edition

I was last here in Dallas for the Black Trans Advocacy Conference that happened the weekend of my birthday, and now I'm back in Dallas County for the Facing Race Conference that started last night and kicked off the seminar portion of it  today and tomorrow.

I enjoyed the plenary, and I got to do two things on this trip to Dallas I'd never done before.  One was fly into Love Field, and the other was emcee a conference event.

I had a blast co-hosting with Jeff Chang last night, and I've enjoyed the seminars I have been able to attend so far before I have to head back to my end of I-45 later tonight..

But this Friday, and y'all know what happens today.    I get to call out all the assorted fool, fools and groups of fools who are competing for this week's Shut Up Fool Award.  


Honorable Mention number one goes to PRIDE Houston. They were warned back in October by Black LGBT Houstonians and our allies about a problematic scheduling conflict.with the 2015 parade being held on Juneteenth and asked to quietly move it.   They blew it off and found themselves in the middle of a PR nightmare they were warned would happen if they didn't change the date back to the traditional last weekend in June. 

At last night's PRIDE community meeting they changed it back to June 27, but only after getting called out at another contentious PRIDE community meeting and enduring a lot of negative publicity while doing so.

Honorable mention number two is Deion Sanders.  While discussing Michael Sam he recently recited the tired line that Sam 'chose to be gay' and added 'God Don't make mistakes' to it.

So Deion, tell me the exact date you 'chose to be a straight womanizer?'  As for thesecond part of your statement, you're absolutely right Deion. God didn't make mistakes. That's why trans, bi and SGL people exist.    Some of them are damned good football players. too

Honorable mention number three is a group award for KSTP-TV in Minneapolis, MN for the jacked up #pointergate story.

Honorable mention number four goes to the Kentucky Baptist Assn for kicking out Louisville's LGBT friendly Crescent Hill Baptist Church for doing what our faith commands and loving everyone that enters their sanctuary doors.

What next? Is the Kentucky Baptist Assn. going to kick out churches that feed the hungry, visit the sick and shut in and perform interracial marriages, too?

Honorary mention number five goes to Robert R Jennings, the president of HBCU Lincoln Univ, in Pennsylvania who in a recent convocation managed the dual feat of slut shaming and victim blaming the female students in attendance.

This week's Shut Up Fool Award winner is Texas State Senator Donna Campbell (R) , who filed a bill earlier this week that seeks to enshrine the 'right to discriminate into our Texas constitution

Why?   Didn't you learn when this same bill failed in the 2013 session and from what happened in Arizona? 

Don't you realize that it will be a job and convention business killer, and the right to discriminate can be turned back around on people like you?
