Shut Up Fool Awards- No Fools Zone Edition

It's Friday, and you long time TransGriot readers know what that means.   It's my ongoing weekly effort to expose the fool, fools or group of fools in our societal midst who continue to exhibit mind numbing stupidity, jaw dropping ignorance and over the top hypocrisy.

And I have fun calling their asses out, too

It's time for this week's edition of the TransGriot Shut Up Fool Awards.  Since I know you're anxious to find out who won this week, I'll shut down the jibber-jabber get right to it.

Honorable mention number one is a joint one for Kanye West and Stacey Dash.   After Kanye went on a problematic 20 minute rant during a July 5 London concert comparing the paparazzi to rapists.   Stacey Dash, in her new gig as a Faux Noise pundit and who had appeared in Kanye's All Fall Down video, then suggested to he needed to spend some time at Riker's Island to know what rape really is.

Both of them need to have several seats.

Honorable mention number two is the Ugandan government for making the ludicrous claim that the Anti-Homosexuality Law 'is not meant to punish gays.

Oh really?  In what delusional world did you come up with that conclusion when the bill call for lifetime imprisonment for repeat violators of it?    Own your homophobic bigotry and the consequences of letting white American homophobes bamboozle you into passing that draconian law.

Honorable mention number three is Chicago disc jockey UB Rodriguez.   The WGCI-FM disk jockey let loose with this transphobic tweet while commenting on the video Laverne Cox appeared in for the John Legend song You & I.

After initially trying to defend the slur, Rodriguez deleted it.

As I said in the post discussing the just launched Windy City trans respect billboard campaign,

Ten of these billboards are being deployed on Chicago's South and West sides and like Channyn, I hope they convey the message to the rest of cis society what transwomen already know.  Transwomen are human.

We're also just trying to live our daily lives without added drama or BS.

I also hope one of those ten billboards is across the street or near the WGCI-FM studios

Honorable mention number four to the Thanks A Million Corp. for their Add a Kid Line of t-shirts that includes a problematic monkey one.   To promote the line it has multiethnic headshots of kids, and one retailer paired the African-American kid headshot with a monkey t-shirt.

Thanks a Million Corp, did it not occur to you not to have a monkey shirt in the first place, being that African-Americans up to and including the POTUS and FLOTUS still have to deal with that racist imagery?

Honorable mention number five is Joan Rivers, who refuses to part her collagen injected lips and apologize to the First Lady for her racist and transmisogynistic comment I blasted her for last week.

Honorable mention number six goes to Alex Jones, for doubling down on that transmisogyny that Rivers attacked the FLOTUS with and going even more off the chain with it.

This week's Shut Up Fool Awards winner is Southern Talabaptist President Richard Land, who declared that 'transgenderism is the ultimate rebellion against God'

Seriously?   The 'ultimate rebellion against God' is you and your SBC fools claiming to speak for the Almighty while trying to erase the irrefutable fact transpeople exist.

Here's some New Testament for you, from Jesus himself.  .

For there are some eunuchs, which were so born from their mother's womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men: and there be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven's sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it. Matthew 19:12

Trans people are part of the diverse mosaic of human life, and God loves us, too   So you and all your Southern Talabaptists can have several seats in those arena sized churches and have a tall sweet tea flavored glass of STFU.

So let me say this in terms easy for you to understand:   Richard Land, thou art a fool that needeth to shut  thine lying lips

Shut Up Fool Awards-Fourth Of July 2014 Edition

Photo: Happy Independence Day people!Happy Independence Day!  Today is our nation's 238th birthday, and it is being celebrated across the country with parade, concerts, barbecues and after sunset, massive fireworks displays.

Well, except on those parts of the Eastern Seaboard where Hurricane Arthur is making a mess of things.

It's Friday, and y'all know that that means TransGriot readers.

It's that part of the week that y'all tell me you absolutely love in terms of me calling out this week's fool, fools or group of fools in the weekly TransGriot Shut Up Fool Awards.

So without further delay, let's get to me calling out with your help the hypocrisy, stupidity, and just WTF moments that made these people SUF award worthy.

Honorable mention number one I stay local for in christopimp Rev. Max Miller, who is shilling for homobigot Dave Welch in their GOP sponsored attempt to roll back the HERO.

Max during his gross violation of Exodus 20:16 stated that he and fellow gay baiting ministers weren't anti-gay because they had gat family members.

Um, yes you are, especially when you pushed a petition drive on behalf of white conservafools seeking to repeal Houston's newly passed a comprehensive human rights law that protects the human rights of everyone in our city limits.

Honorable mention number two goes to 2011 Shut Up Fool of the Year Herman Cain for making homophobic cracks about Burger King's 'Proud Whopper' they sold in a San Francisco arealocation during Pride.Weekend on his website.

Honorable mention number three to Adam Richman, who engaged in fat shaming with a female critic and told her she should kill herself.  He lost his new show on the Travel Channel as a result.

Honorable mention number four is Bobbi Kristina Brown, who hurled transmisogyny at Angela Bassett because she was pissed off Bassett turned her down for the role of her mother in a biopic on Whitney Houston she is debut directing

Bobbi Kris, you need to sit your ass down and have several seats.   Your mother was one of the 50 most beautiful women on the planet, a multiple Grammy Award winning singer, actress and a ground breaking teen fashion model.    The only thing your spoiled brat ass shares with your mother is her DNA.

Honorable mention number five is Joan Rivers for her transmisogynist and racist comment that First Lady Michelle Obama is a transsexual.    It's not cool to attack the femininity of the FLOTUS by calling her a trans woman when there is ample evidence she isn't.  It's racist to do that when there is a 400 year history of the femininity of Black women being denigrated

This is also not the first time you've made a comment aimed at the First Lady that has gone flat.   We still haven't forgotten the offensive Blackie O 'joke'.  As someone of Jewish heritage who comes from a people who know firsthand what it is like to be dehumanized, you should know better.

Conservative+activist+Supreme+Court+JusticesThis week's shut up fool is a group award for the five conservative male justices of the SCOTUS for the Hobby Lobby decision.

Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg says it best for me in her scathing dissent of the 5-4 decision.

I'm going to say this.  SCOTUS conservafool majority, shut up fools!

Shut Up Fool Awards-Houston Pride Weekend Edition

In Houston and many areas around the country it's Pride Weekend.   We're celebrating the June 27, 1969 weekend that Sylvia Rivera, Miss Major and other POC folks jumped off the Stonewall Rebellion

We also have something else to celebrate in the May 28 passage of the Houston Equal Rights Ordinance.

Pride Houston has over 300,000 people attend it each year, making it the second largest parade in Houston and the largest Pride Parade or LGBT gathering in the Southwestern United States. The festival and parade are part of a week-long celebration.    It also boasts the only nighttime pride parade in the nation.

The festival in the heart of Montrose is open from 1-7 PM and the parade begins at 8:15 PM traveling through Montrose along Westheimer Blvd.    Congrats also to female parade Grand Marshal Christina Gorczynski and male parade Grand Marshal JD Doyle.

It's Friday, and that means it's time for my usual TransGriot business of finding out what fool, fools or group of fools deserve to get called out

Honorable mention number one is Chris Brown, who turned down a plea deal in a Washington DC assault case, which foced a trial that if it goes sideways, will send him to jail.

Honorable mention number two is North Carolina state Rep Paul Stam (R-Wake) who parted his lips to say during a legislative debate tried to equate homosexuality to pedophilia.

Honorable mention number three is a joint group award to the Tea Klux Klan, the conservative media and losing Mississippi US senate candidate Chris McDaniel for the collective freakout they have engaged in for complaining about embattled Sen Thad Cochran's (R-MS) successful strategy of reaching out to African-American voters and getting them to cross over to vote in the GOP runoff that he won by 6,300 votes.   Hey, y'all can #bemad and #staymad about African-American voters doing unto you what you fools have done unto us for decades in terms of cossing over into our primaries to cause mischief

Mississippi's Black voters just wasn't having McDaniel's racist azz become a US senator, and good for them exercising their voting power strategically on behalf of our political interests.  .

Honorable mention number four is the Louisville Forum for planning a July 9 event discussing trans issues with ZERO trans people on the panel.   Seriously?

Honorable mention number five is David Spondike, a Akron, OH teacher who was fired for posting racist comments on his Facebook account.     That's a problem, dude when you work at a school that is predominate comprised of POC students.   And if you have to preface your defense with 'I'm not racist', then that's a major alert that you probably are and don't need to be teaching kids.

This week's Shut Up Fool winner is a joint award for John Baylo and his station manager Chris Lemke.
The 35 year old host of a 'Christian' radio show at anti-Gay private college Cornerstone University was busted on child molestation charges.

And who did his manager blame for his DJ's fall from grace that the deserves a special place in Hell for?
Give you one guess who he blamed it on after urging WCSG listeners to pray for him,.his family, co-workers and alleged victims

“We pray for John. We pray for his bride and new stepson,” he said. “Most importantly, please pray for the victims of the allegations.” Then he blamed Satan for Baylo’s criminal acts, “We can’t make sense of this. … Did you ever have any doubt Satan was loose?”

Naw but hyporisy defintely was, since Cornerstone University requires students to sign a “Lifestyle Statement” that forbids “every form of immorality, including immoral sexual behavior, homosexuality, lying, stealing and cheating.”

John Baylo and Chris Lemke, shut up fools

Shut Up Fool Awards-Let's Call Out The Fools Edition

Well, it's Friday, so y'all know that means it's time for another episode of the Shut Up Fool awards in which I get to call out jaw dropping hypocrisy, mind numbing ignorance and just straight up over the top lies.

So let's get to this week's fools.

Honorable mention number one is Linda Harvey, for suggesting on her radio show Wednesday in her attack on Laverne Cox and the trans rights movement that Satan is behind her trans rights advocacy.

Linda, stop projecting   Church Lady, tell me who you think is backing Linda's show.

Honorable mention number two goes to North Carolina US Senate candidate Thom Tillis, who let his pointed hood show and uttered in an interview that White people are the only 'traditional Americans'.

I shouldn't be shocked he said it since he admires the late race baiting Sen. Jesse Helms (R-NC)
And how's that GOP voter outreach to non-whites working again?   Oh yeah, that's right, you pushed that voter suppression law in your state as the Speaker of the House.

You know, repeatedly saying racist crap makes your task of trying to beat Sen. Kay Hagan in November harder when you keep pissing off North Carolina's Black and Latino voters.

Honorable mention number three I go local for in Dave Wilson.   The fake Black person for electoral purposes at a recent HCC board of trustees meeting asked that the school withdraw from participation in this year's June 28 Houston Pride parade.   The longtime gay baiter and one of our HERO haters offensively compared it to participating a Klan parade which openly gay HCC trustee Zeph Cappo blasted him on among other HCC trustees.  .

Will the trial date to remove his ass from the HCC board hurry up and get here? .

Honorable mention number four is for Texas Gov. Rick Perry (R), who opened his mouth and inserted foot about the just passed Texas TGOP plank on reparative therapy.

January 2015 can't get here soon enough.

Honorable mention number five is Daniel Snyder.   He''s channeling George Preston Marshall and refusing to change the offensive nickname of the Washington NFL franchise he owns despite mounting pressure and another blow from the US Patent Office.   The Trademark Patent and Appeal Board in a 2-1 decision canceled six trademarks on the offensive nickname citing the nickname was offensive to a substantial composite of native Americans.

That pressure only increased after this devastating commercial was aired during the NBA Finals

Honorable mention number six is Rep Steve King (R-IA) who once again showed off his acute case of Obama Derangement Syndrome and compared the POTUS to North Korean dictator Kim Jung Un.

If he was Steve, your behind along with many of your fellow wingers would be behind barbed wire in the sunny climes of Guantanamo.

This week's shut Up Fool award goes to Mike Huckabee.   This fool at the sparsely attended NOM sponsored rally for marriage Thursday in DC parted his lips to use a section of Dr King's Letter Form Birmingham City Jail to make his loud and wrong argument conflating their losing battle against gay marriage to fighting Naziism.  .

Oh hell no.   Don't even try to take the Good Doctor's words out of context like that.   We already know from his late wife Coretta what Dr King's views would have probably been on this subject

“Freedom from discrimination based on sexual orientation is surely a fundamental human right in any great democracy, as much as freedom from racial, religious, gender, or ethnic discrimination.”
-Coretta Scott King,. National Gay and Lesbian Task Force, 2000.

“I still hear people say that I should not be talking about the rights of lesbian and gay people and I should stick to the issue of racial justice,” she said. “But I hasten to remind them that Martin Luther King Jr. said, ‘Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.’” “I appeal to everyone who believes in Martin Luther King Jr.’s dream to make room at the table of brother- and sisterhood for lesbian and gay people,”
-Coretta Scott King, March 31, 1998.

Those are just two quotes on the subject.  She's been saying it since 1994.

And I have a Dr. King quote for you to ponder.

"Any religion that professes to be concerned with the souls of men and is not concerned with the slums that damn them, the economic conditions that strangle them, and the social conditions that cripple them is a dry-as-dust religion." -- Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr

So how dare you Mike Huckabee, twist the words of Dr King to fit your dry as dust so called religious agenda when conservatives like you spent much time demonizing the man in life and even in death?

Have several seats and shut the hell up fool!

Shut Up Fool Awards- In The PTHC 2014 House Edition

As y'all already know I'm in Philadelphia for the 13th annual edition of the Philadelphia Trans Health Conference at the Pennsylvania Convention Center, and having a blast.

We're in Day Two of it and as this SUF post pops up, right now we're scheduled to be in the middle of Harper Jean Tobin's keynote speech.

I'll talk about it later in my PTHC 2014 update post, but I know y'all surfed over here because it's Friday and y'all want to know what fools are getting called out this week.

So without further delay, lets find out what fool, fools or group of fools earned this week's SUF honors

And I'm going to get right to it.   This week's winner is a group award for the haters of the Southern Baptist Church.   They declared war on the trans community Tuesday when they passed the Denny Burk crafted trans hate resoultion at their just concluded Baltimore convention.

The resolution puts the SBC on the wrongheaded course of massive resistace to trans human rights issues and arrogantly dismissing the fact we exist.

And yeah, once again you chose to put yourselves on the wrong side of history.

All I have to say to you spawns of Satan is, shut the hell up, fools.

Shut Up Fool Awards-SUF Day For Fools Edition

Today is the 70th anniversary of the successful June 6, 1944 amphibious invasion of Normandy by allied troops from Great Britain, Canada and the United States.  The loss of 9000 soldiers in that invasion led to the liberation of France and the eventual end of the war in Europe eleven months later.

Today is SUF Day, in which every week on the blog I shine a bright spotlight on the fool, fools or group of fools that exhibited mind numbing stupidity, jaw dropping hypocrisy and just did or said something so stupid you gotta say WTF?

So let's find out who this week's Shut Up Fool Award winner is, shall we?

Honorable Mention number one goes to Ryders Eyewear, the Canadian company that created a transphobic ad, tried to claim it was humorous, and then had to pull it in the face of mounting criticism of it from our Canadian trans cousins.

FYI as you discovered, transpeople wear your products, too.  Transphobia not only stinks, it is dehumanizing and leads to discrimination, violence and death for us in Canada and around the world .

Honorable Mention number two  is Houston City Councilmember Brenda Stardig, who parted her lips to say in a Tuesday council public comment session over a transportation ordinance that 'this councilmember doesn't discriminate 'when she not only voted against the HERO, she threw her own gay brother under the human rights bus when she did so.

Honorable mention number three is Pastor Jamal H. Bryant of the Orwellian named Empowerment Temple in Baltimore, MD.   He unleashed a sermon last Sunday that was anything but empowering to the female members of his congregation and was chock full of misogyny, homophobia and sexism.

Honorable mention number four is Richard Land, who opened his mouth and let something stupid come out of it.   In continuing to beat the conservadrum for the faith-based Colorado baking bigot, Land made the loud and wrong equivocation that equal rights for LGBT people is like forcing Black people to participate in KKK induction ceremonies.    Seriously?   Since when did you Southern Baptist peeps ever care about the human rights of my people?   Your denomination has spent much of your time trying to use the Bible to justify ways to continue oppression of my people.   So have several seats and a nice glass of STFU W

This week's Shut Up Fool Winner is Pastor Kendall Baker.   He was one of the lead kneegrow sellout  pastors hatin' on the HERO, but it has come out he was bounced from his City of Houston job for sexual harassment.

So let's see.  What made Pastor Baker
solicit sexual acts, make crude remarks about female anatomy and hugged subordinate female employees?  Could it beeeeee, take it from here, Church Lady.

BakerHave several seats at Grace KKKommunity Church you transphobic hypocrite

Oh yeah, Pastor Kendall Baker, Shut up Fool!

Shut Up Fool Awards- Memorial Day Weekend 2014 Edition

It's Friday, and once again we move toward the last Monday in May and Memorial Day weekend.

It's the day we remember the people who gave their lives on battlefields around the world to protect our nation from foreign and domestic enemies and defend the freedoms enshrined in our Constitution.

It's a Constitution I wonder if the conservafools have even read beyond the First, Second and Tenth amendments.   It's also apropos that we are heading into this Memorial Day weekend embroiled in a fierce debate inside Loop 610 in which many of us are engaged in the civil rights battle of our time in trying to pass the Houston Equal Rights Ordinance against the same group of segregationists who think their white privilege and specious religious beliefs trump our human rights.

And it's a fight we are determined to win against the Houston Division of the Forces of Intolerance.

It has been a busy and contentious week leading into today, and I am compiling HERO related news posts that will pop up at noon CDT every day except on Fridays because I have other 'bidness' to handle first

And that 'bidness' as y'all long time TransGriot readers know is my weekly Shut Up Fool Awards.

I get the pleasure of sorting out after y'all nominate them on Wednesdays what fool, fools or group of fools deserve to get called out on Friday.

This Memorial Day weekend I had a lot of SUF award worthy fools to wade through, so let's get busy doing so.

Honorable mention number one is the now unemployed duo of Kimberly Ray and Barry Beck, who engaged in a 12 minute transphobic rant on their Rochester, NY radio show that got the pair swiftly terminated.

Another media personality that had to learn the hard way the trans community and our allies are not tolerating fact free attacks on us anymore.

Honorable mention number two is Pat Sajak.  The conservafool host of Wheel of Fortune posted this tweet: "I now believe global warming alarmists are unpatriotic racists knowingly misleading for their own ends. Good night."   When the swift and sure reaction came from the Twitterverse Sajak tried to claim it was 'a joke'

Yo Pat  FYI for you, racism is bigotry/prejudice plus systemic power, not an epithet for you vanillacentric privileged fools to throw around.   Global warming is no joke either as 97% of climate scientists will tell you.

Honorable mention number three, RuPaul for once again disrespecting the trans community and trying to defend a word we're already said ad nauseum is a slur.

Honorable mention number five is Dr Ben Carson, who continues to coon it up for the conservafools

Physician, please heal thyself from the sickness of conservatism.

Honorable mention number five is Vice magazine co-founder Gavin McInnes, who opened mouth and inserted foot to say that the 'myth of racism' is crippling for Blacks.

And you would know this how Oh Almighty White Male?   'Myth of Racism' my azz.   You got it twisted. More like the reality of racism is crippling to Blacks and other non-white people in this country.   It irks me that you and other conservative white males rush to deny its existence, your deep seated pathological hatred of Black people and failure to acknowledge you benefit immensely from it.

It is a major reason why racism hasn't been eliminated from American society .  .

This week's Shut Up Fool winner is Allen West.   This conservaidiot who dishonored the uniform and tortured an Iraqi detainee and should be in jail for it had the nerve to attack Rep Tammy Duckworth (D-IL) because she agreed to serve on the Bengazipalooza Witch Hunt Committee.

West remarked of Duckworth: "I just don't know where her loyalties lie. You know, for her to have been a veteran, a wounded warrior for the United States Army, she should know that this is not the right thing. And hopefully, you know, she will remember the oath of office that she took as an Army officer and not the allegiance I guess she believes she has to the liberal progressives of the Democrat Party."

I just don’t know where her loyalties lie. You know, for her to have been a veteran, a wounded warrior for the United States Army, she should know that this is not the right thing. And hopefully, you know, she will remember the oath of office that she took as an Army officer and not the allegiance I guess she believes she has to the liberal progressives of the Democrat Party.

Allen West, Official Portrait, 112th Congress.jpgConservanegro, please.  What body parts did you leave behind in Iraq?

The oath Rep Duckworth took as an Army officer who is still serving BTW as a Lt. Colonel in the Illinois National Guard states that she will defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic".

You fit that 'domestic enemies' part to perfection.

Allen West, shut the HELL up fool

Shut Up Fool Awards-60th Anniversary of Brown v Board SCOTUS Case Edition

thurgood marshall 1954Tomorrow is the 60th anniversary of the unanimous May 17, 1954 Supreme Court decision in the Brown v. Board of Education case that outlawed racial segregation in our nation's schools.

The case was argued by an NAACP legal team that included future SCOTUS justice Thurgood Marshall,   Brown overturned the doctrine of "separate but equal," that had unfortunately been been established by the Supreme Court in the 1896 Plessy v. Ferguson case that gave constitutional legal cover to Jim Crow discrimination.

Brown was one of the legal body blows that eventually took Jim Crow segregation down and set the stage for a sea change in American politics that led to the passage of the Civil Rights Act ten years later and the Voting Rights Act in 1965.

So now that I've dropped some history on you, let's move on to our usual Friday business of finding people guilty of being fools who exhibit mind numbing stupidity, jaw dropping hypocrisy and just make you say WTF at times.

Honorable mention number one is Amy Kushnir, the Dallas anti-gay TV host of The Broadcast who stormed off the set when she and co-host Courtney Kerr got into a heated discussion about Michael Sam kissing his boyfriend, and say it was wrong, but had no problem doing a segment with the Chippendale's strippers on that same morning show.

Can you say hypocrite TransGriot boys and girls?    Thought you could.

Honorable mention number two to Gordon Klingenschmitt for his transphobic conservarant over the  Maines case and said the transfeminine teen girl should “man up” or face a spanking and an exorcism to rid her body of demons.

I have a suggestion for you.  How about you 'man up' and stop being a disgusting human being?

Honorable mention number three is a group award for all the kneegrow pastors in Michigan  who joined their conservafool oppressors in filing a brief against the ruling legalizing gay marriage in that state.

Shaking my head that you fools are palling around with the same people who supported the Republican controlled state government's efforts to block our right to vote.

Where's the D.R.O.P. Squad when you need them?.

Honorable mention number four is soon to be ex-owner of the LA Clippers Donald Sterling for continuing to hate on Magic Johnson, trying to claim that he's not racist despite the fact he's had the largest housing discrimination judgment in LA history dropped on him, and umm, give me a moment to think about something else to add here.

This week's Shut Up Fool winners are the tag team of Pastors Becky and Steve Riggle.   They run the Grace KKKomunity Church down I-45 in far southeast Houston and are emblematic of the hateful, ignorant crap we're having to deal with to get the HERO passed.

Becky laughably tried to claim she and her faith based homophobes and transphobes had a special right to discriminate against gays and Jews during Tuesday's HERO hearing that had many of us in the audience cracking up with laughter.

Steve gamely tried to defend his wife's dishonor a few speakers and was shredded by Councilmember Ellen Cohen

You and your hate ministers are making the case for us why the HERO is needed in Houston.

Have several seats, a nice tall glass of STHU and some remedial classes in civics and American history not taught by Glenn Beck.   And oh yeah, you need Jesus.   Not that conservafool version y'all pimp at your megachurch.

One other thing...Shut up fools!

Shut Up Fool Awards-Jadeveon's A Texan Edition

South Carolina defensive end Jadeveon Clowney holds up the jersey for the Houston Texans first pick of the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft with NFL commissioner Roger Goddell, Thursday, May 8, 2014, in New York. (AP Photo/Craig Ruttle) The 2014 NFL Draft started last night and will run through Saturday.  Thanks to their disastrous 2-14 season the Texans had the first overall pick, and they wisely used it to select DE Jadeveon Clowney of South Carolina

Can't wait to see him and JJ Watt terrorizing quarterbacks this season

Speaking of terror, it's time for us to segue to our normal Friday 'bidness' of finding out which fool, fools or group of fools exhibited mind numbing ignorance, over the top hypocrisy and head scratching stupidity.

Yep, it's time for this week's Shut Up Fool Awards.

Honorable mention number one is Mark Angelo Cummings, the Florida based trans fool who needs to have several sections of seats in Marlins Park, have a sweet tea flavored glass of STFU along with a Cuban sandwich.   Marky Mark decided to try to step to me again and made himself look clueless in the process when he tried to claim that racism doesn't exist unless it's against white people

Seriously?    Mark, as I and other people have patiently tried to explain to your willfully ignorant and clueless ass (and predictably in his vanillacentric privileged arrogance labeled us 'angry' for doing so), Racism = bigotry /prejudice + systemic power.   POC's do not  (at least until 2040) have the collective power to oppress whites the way that has been and continues to be done to non-white people by the white majority for centuries.

It is yours and other white transpeople's clueless dismissal of the point that race and class matter in Trans World, affect a gender transition, bring issues unique to trans communities of color that lead trans POC's to tell you white trans peeps to kiss our azz, form our own orgs and do our own advocacy independent of you.

So I ask the question you continue to fail to answer:  Why y'all so scurred of Black transpeople owing their power?

Honorable mention number two is Uniguest, the Nashville, TN based company that provides Net Nanny software programs for hotel business centers that can't tell the difference between a trans porn site and a GLAAD Award nominated African-American trans blog or a social organization in BTMI/BTWI that focuses on uplifting trans people.

Yeah, can you tell I'm still pissed about not being able to access my blog in the Doubletree's business center during BTAC?

Honorable Mention number three is North Carolina Pink Republican Steve Wile, who has been campaigning on an anti-gay and anti-same sex marriage platform and got busted for being a drag queen.

Well, well.   Another example of a hypocritical anti-gay Republican

Honorable Mention number four goes to all of Satan's Helpers, Houston Division who continue to oppose the HERO on specious religious grounds.

Honorable Mention number five goes to Jim Coughlan, the Republican (surprise, surprise) controller of Dutchess County, NY who is running for a NY state senate seat.   He got busted for aiming a racist Tweet at MSNBC commentator Melissa Harris-Perry, and then when he got called on it, put out a statement claiming he hadn't seen Harris-Perry's work, didn't know she was African-American and claimed it was just a line from the Planet of the Apes movie and wasn't directed at her.

Yeah right.   Jim, hope you are aware that apes also look like you, too.

New York peeps, make sure this fool doesn't get a seat in your state senate.

Dan Patrick
This week's Shut Up Fool is Texas state Senator Dan Patrick, who is running for the GOP nomination for Texas Lt Governor.

Patrick opened his mouth during a debate with current Lt Governor David Dewhurst to claim it was a myth that Planned Parenthood had anything to do with Texas women's heath.

Note to Dan:  Google is your friend.   The facts are:
*Planned Parenthood health centers focus on prevention: 71 percent of our clients receive services to prevent unintended pregnancy.

*Planned Parenthood services help prevent more than 486,000 unintended pregnancies each year.

*Planned Parenthood provides 585,000 Pap tests and nearly 640,000 breast exams each year, critical services in detecting cancer.

*Planned Parenthood provides nearly 4.5 million tests and treatments for sexually transmitted infections, including HIV.

*Three percent of all Planned Parenthood health services are abortion services.

*Planned Parenthood affiliates provide educational programs to more than one million young people and adults each year.

I'm not even going to rehash all of the other ignorant and bigoted stuff he's said while campaigning for the GOP Lt. Governor's nomination.  It's at myth that the Republican Party cares about anyone that isn't a conservative white male.

Dan Patrick, shut up fool!

Shut Up Fool Awards-BTAC 2014 Edition

I'm finally in in Dallas for this year's edition of the Black Trans Advocacy Conference and have two panels I'm on I'm looking forward to.

First one is the sisterhood one with Espy Brown and myself and the Black Trans Community Summit later on this afternoon moderated by Tiq Milan.

But y'all know I'm quite aware of what today is and it ain't hump day.  .

Yep, time to call out this week's fool, fools or group of fools who deserve to get called out for their BS.

Honorable mention number one is Bill O'Reilly for claiming that Beyonce is responsible for girls getting pregnant out of wedlock

Seriously?

Honorable mention number two is Sucker oops Tucker Carlson, who said on a recent FOX and Friends  broadcast that watching Oprah's 'anti-male brainwashing' will emasculate your male children.

Say the man who wore bow ties for years.

Honorable mention number three goes to Christina Fallin, the daughter of Oklahoma Gov. Mary Fallin.
During a Norman Music Festival performance of her band Pink Pony she mocked Native American protestors of her by doing a fake war dance as her boyfriend shot the finger at them from the stage.

The Native Americans were protesting her posting of a photo on her Instagram account of her wearing a red headdress.

And you conservafools keep protesting that you aren't racist.  But you keep adding to that continuously mounting five decades of overwhelming evidence you most certainly are.  And as Christina Fallin proves, the kids are sometimes worse than their conservaparents.

Honorable mention number four goes to all the faith based hate mongering pastors who stood in opposition to the Houston Equal Rights Ordinance and violated several commandments in doing so.  Oh, you know the ones about bearing false witness, lying and then had the nerve to get butthurt about getting called out for being haters and oppressors.

News flash, you are.

Honorable mention number five  is a joint award for serial racist Donald Sterling and the LA Chapter of the NAACP     The soon to be ex-owner of the LA Clipper pissed off his girlfriend, who revealed to the world what many of us already knew in terms of his record setting bigotry.

But the head scratching part of this reprehensible was the LA NAACP being set to giving Donald Sterling a lifetime achievement award   For what.   Best Oppressor to our community?   Most realistic portrayal of a plantation owner?  Most Bigoted Conservafool?

What the hell were they thinking?
Honorable mention number six goes to DL Hugley for calling Tanee-McCall Short, the estranged wife of Columbus Short, a 'thirsty b---h.   Hugley has apologized for his comments, but that still jacked up to diss a victim of domestic violence on national radio.
Honorable mention number seven goes to Angela McGlowan, who is still trying to suck up to the Tea Klux Klan and pimp that government benefits = slavery meme.
Didn't you learn anything about how much the conservafiools really love you when you ran for Congress in Mississippi and you came in fourth behind three white male Republicans?   I guess not.

alan-keyes-03This week's Shut Up Fool is Alan Keyes.   First this kneegrow parted his lips on WingNutDaily to say that Cliven Bundy wasn't a racist and liberals 'were the real racists'.   Then Keyes doubled down on that idiocy by claiming that 'Black people were worse off now than under slavery'

Naw homes, you're not only hanging with the real racists, you've got your nose stuck so far up their anuses if they fart you can recite what they had for breakfast.   And yeah, you're still bitter the POTUS spanked that azz in the 2004 Illinois US senate race.

For that shameless azz kissing you deserve a Oreo cookie, an Uncle Ruckus and a Negro IZ U Sirius? Award

And oh yeah, Alan Keyes, Shut up Fool!

Shut Up Fool Awards-Last Friday In April Edition

It's the last Friday in the month of April.   All the Team Taurus birthdays are being celebrated today.  Baseball season has started along with the MLS and NWSL seasons.  The NHL and NBA playoffs have started, and the NFL has already released their schedule for the 2014 regular season.

Up I-45 north from me the final preparations are being made for the Black Trans Advocacy Conference set to start four days from now.

And yeah, next weekend I'll be blessed to have another birthday.

But y'all didn't come here to hear all this jibber-jabber.   Y'all want to find out who won this week's Shut Up Fool Award.

So let's get busy finding out what fool, fools or group of fools distinguished themselves this week.

Honorable mention number one is Georgia Gov Nathan Deal (R) who signed a law allowing guns everywhere in Georgia including bars.    Just what we need, armed drunks.

Honorable mention number two is SCOTUS Chief Justice John Roberts, who in the wake of  another wrongheaded decision on affirmative action got excoriated by Justice Sonia Sotomayor who correctly called him and his conservative majority out of touch

Honorable mention number three goes to Ugandan Catholic bishop Charles Wamika, who in his Easter Message praised the Anti-Homosexuality Act and preached genocide against his fellow LGBT Ugandans.

Somebody's going to have to repent for all this evil, and I submit it won't be the gay community of Uganda.

Honorable mention number four is a joint award for drag queen Alaska Thunderfuck and HuffPostGay.  The drag queen got in hot water when he posted a video lampooning hated in their ranks trans writer Parker Marie Molloy that ended with Molloy being shot .  HuffPostGay  initially posted to their site and later had to take down when the wrath of the trans community and our supporters was visited upon them..

I'm going to say this point one more time.  It is unacceptable and dangerous to advocate for the murder of any person simply because you disagree with what they say, and especially when that person is part of a despised marginalized group who is targeted far too often with murderous violence aimed at it.

This week's Shut Up Fool Award winner is right wing cowboy Cliven Bundy.   The newly minted right wing hero, welfare cheat and racist extremist was pumped up by FOX Noise's Sean Hannity before he started flapping his gums and letting ignorant startement come out of it that sent all the pols like Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY), TX GOP gubernatorial candidate Greg Abbott, Sen Dean Heller (R-NV) running like Uisain Bolt away from him..

Bundy parted his lips to say this racist tripe about Black people

Bundy then continued to flap his loud and wrong gums and ask why he and his right wing gun nuts weren't getting any support from communities of color for their anti-government protest.

Because for starters you're a bunch of bigoted terrorists in armed rebellion against the federal governemnt and we want no part of that.

Cliven Bundy, shut up fool!

Shut Up Fool Awards-Church Of The Real Edition

It's Good Friday, and we head into the 2014 edition of Easter Sunday poised to celebrate as Christians the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

It is also Friday, and that means it's time for my weekly exercise in calling out the mind numbingly stupid, the willfully ignorant, the over the top arrogant and the jaw dropping hypocrites and give them the Shut Up Fool Awards they so richly deserve.

It's time for our own Good Friday service in the Church Of The Real, run by Founding Pastor Denny Upkins.  So fire up you favorite gospel music to call out fools with as we launch into this week's edition of the Shut Up Fool awards.   BTW, the love offerings for this service can be dropped in the TransGriot tip jar.

Honorary mention number one is Steve Maltzberg, who less than 24 hours after Chelsea Clinton announced her pregnancy, this Pharisee decided to violate commandment number 9 and bear false witness against thy neighbor by claiming that Chelsea's pregnancy was a Hilliary campaign ploy.

Honorary mention number two is all the racist bigots who sent home run king Hank Aaron hate mail after he was asked in an interview why he kept all the hate mail he received during his 1973-74 run to break Babe Ruth's home run record   "To remind myself that we are not that far removed from when I was chasing the record. If you think that, you are fooling yourself. A lot of things have happened in this country, but we have so far to go. There’s not a whole lot that has changed.”

And the bigots promptly proved his point

Honorary mention number three is Congressman Ted Yahoo Yoho (R-FL) who implied to an African-American constituent that he doesn't believe the landmark Civil Rights Act of 1964 is constitutional.  After he started getting called out about it, then put out a statement trying to clean up the mess he made.

So tell me/  How's that GOP African-American outreach working for y'all again?

Honorable mention number four is Twitter user Sarah who found out why you don't tweet terrorim jokes at an airline.   During my pre 9-11 airline days I had three people I had to call the cops on for telling terrorist jokes at my gates. Gate agents are quite aware of the fact we are the last line of security between the terminal, the airplane, the passengers and crew and we took that responsibility seriously.

TransGriot PSA:  Don't tell those terrorist jokes while transiting US customs, TSA security or at your departure gates.  It will not be a good day for you if you do so.

Honorable mention number five is a blast from the past in Phyllis Schafly.   The Stepford Republican parted her lips to say that the pay gap between men and women needs to be maintained so women can find suitable husbands.

Marsha blackburn congress.jpgThis week's winner is Rep. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN), who tried to claim days after Senate Republicans blocked the Paycheck Fairness Act, tried to claim on CBS' Face The Nation that 'Republicans have long led the fight for women's equality'.

Excuse me for a moment dear readers while I double over in laughter.

Marsha, Marsha, Marsha.  Stop lying.   You've far too often led the opposition to women's equality .   And coming from you, considering that you voted against the Lily Ledbetter Fair Pay Act in 2009 and said last year 'women don't want equal pay laws', it's an egregious one.

And FYI Marsha, the first five US women governors were all Democrats.

Rep Marsha Blackburn, shut up, fool

Shut Up Fool Awards-Happy Birthday Tricia Helfer Edition

Today is the milestone 40th birthday of Canadian actress Tricia Helfer, who is as any BSG fan can tell you well known for her role as the humanoid Cylon Number 6 on Battlestar Galactica..

She most recently turned up on our TV screens again in the role of Texas Ranger Molly Parker on the Sofia Vergara produced ABC show Killer Women.

Tricia was born on this date in rural Donalda, Alberta in 1974.

It's also Friday, and y'all know what that means.   It's time for my weekly exercise in finding out what people or groups exhibited mind numbing stupidity, jaw dropping ignorance, brazen hypocrisy and just over the top behavior that will make you say WTF when you read it.

It's time for this week's edition of the TransGriot Shut Up Fool Awards.

Honorable mention number one is a group awards for the Miami-Dade County Board of Elections for coming up with a policy that closes the restrooms at polling places.   Yeah, the same county that in non-white areas of it took up to six hours to vote.

Time to get some mobile port-a-potties with signs on them that say 'the GOP is crapping on your right to vote.'

Honorable mention number two is Mike Huckabee.  The FOX noise pundit claims he's not a bigot or a hater, he's on the right side of the Bible.   Umm hmm, all you bigots and haters claim you're on the right side of the Bible when you're really just trying to use it to justify your bigotry.

Honorable mention number three goes to TINA.org for their transphobic Truth In Advertising ad that reinforces severat stereotypes about transpeople

Honorable mention number four goes to Dr. Charles Murray, the racist advisor to Texas GOP gubernatorial candidate Greg Abbott who said during a human rights summit at UT this week in honor of the 50th anniversary of the passage of the landmark Civil Rights Act of 1964 that 'women are not significant thinkers'

Keep running that Clayton Williams 2.0 campaign, Greg.

For Honorable mention number five, we head to my hometown and put the owners of Y Beauty Supply on blast for not only telling a Black couple, "You people always steal", but strip searched Deadra Patten and her fiance for a pair of $3 earrings.

Seriously?    To quote Ms.Patten concerning the racial profiling, “Everybody doesn’t shoplift," said Patten in the KHOU-TV interview. "Everybody is not a thief. There are still honest people in the world.”

And there are honest people in my community as well.   Remember that, especially if you are going to do business in my community and be successful at it. .

This week's Shut Up Fool winner is PETA.  These idiots prove once again there are no depths they will sink to when they are searching for publicity.

They are seeking to buy the Akron, OH  boyhood home of serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer and turn it into a vegan restaurant.

Yep, looks like I'll be making another PETA protest stop at KFC very soon.   Original recipe yardbird, yum yum!

PETA, and especially Bill O'Reilly's best bud Ingrid Newkirk, shut up fools!

Shut Up Fool Awards- It's April, Fool! Edition

Today is the first Friday in April, and there's a lot going on connected with this April 4 date.

Today happens to be the 20th anniversary of the day I began my physical transition.  It's also sadly the 46th anniversary of the assassination of the Rev Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

The men's and women's NCAA Final Fours are taking place this weekend in Arlington, TX at the Jerrydome and for the women in Nashville.

Only one of my men's March Madness picks survived the NCAA tournament run and it was Florida.  But two made it to the Elite 8 and one to the Sweet 16.

As usual I did better on the women's side with two of my four surviving to play in Nashville.  The two who survived are unbeaten UConn and unbeaten Notre Dame who I picked to be in the title game.

And oh yes, it's time to slam dunk four more Final Four Fools and see which one is cutting down the net and claiming the championship level titles of hypocrisy, ignorance, and jaw dropping level stupidity.

Final Four Fool number one is Brian B-DAHT McLaughlin, who put homophobic tweets up slamming the candidacy for Mr. WSSU of openly gay junior student Aaron McCorkle.  When he got called on it by me and others in the media ranks about it along with advocates, defiantly changed his name to Teflon DAHT before apologizing for the tweets

Guess that Teflon wasn't as protective as he thought it would be.

Final Four Fool number two is the GOP majority on the SCOTUS for another jacked up ruling on the McCutcheon vs FEC case that guts the campaign finance rules, builds on the insanity of Citizens United and lets the 1% spend as much money as they want on political campaigns.

Final Four fool number three is Central Piedmont Community College in Charlotte that got an 'F' in respecting the human rights of Andraya Williams, then tried to lie and stonewall their way out of it probably hoping it would blow over.   Protest started at about an hour ago and looks like CPCC will be explaining themselves to a federal judge soon.

Final Four Fool number four is Hobby Lobby for suing the federal government concerning the ACA's federal contraception mandate because it is against their 'religious principles', while hypocritically investing in companies that produce those same contraception drugs.

Our winner this week is a joint award for sportscasters Mike Francesa, Boomer Esiason and Craig Carton for going off the rails into male chauvinist pig territory when they criticized New York Mets baseball player Daniel Murphy for missing the first three days of the new 2014 MLB season to be with his wife for the birth of their child.

Seriously?  There are 162 games in a baseball season and the right to take up to 3 days of paternity league is part of the 2011 CBA.  And childbirth is not a given that it will go smoothly.

And it not like the world was going to end because David Murphy wasn't on the field for the last few days.

Mike Francesa, Boomer Esiason and Craig Carton, shut up fools!

Shut Up Fool Awards-Sweet Sixteen Edition

#7 California vs. #2 Baylor (Second Round) (NCAA Women's Championship)The men's and women's NCAA tournaments enter the Sweet Sixteen round this weekend as they whittle it down to the Elite Eight and the Final Four teams that will fight for the 2014 men's and women's NCAA titles in Arlington and Nashville.

So far my men's and women's 2014 NCAA Final Four teams are still intact, but we'll see if that's the case after this weekend's games are played.

And yes, I'm quite aware of what day it is on the calendar.   It's Friday, and time to slam dunk four more Final Four Fools.  So let's get to it.

Final Four Fool number one is a SUF Lifetime Achievement Award winner in Bill O'Reilly.  I had to call this fool out for aiming the 'race hustler' insult at Rep Barbara Lee (D-CA) during FOX Noise interview with Rep. Paul  Ryan on his show for justifiably calling out Rep Paul Ryan for his racist remarks.

Stop projecting Bill.  You and your friends at Fox Noise along with your Fox Fembots are the masters at 'race hustling'.  Your network and your movement never miss an opportunity to race bait.h

Final Four Fool Number two goes to Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell  (R-KY) and his campaign,  The person who made it his political goal to make President Obama a one term president is deliciously in the fight of his political life to hold on to his senate seat.

Either he or someone on his staff thought it would be a great idea to take advantage of the Kentucky Wildcats run through the NCAA tournament in this basketball crazy state and use them in an ad.   The finished product was a pic of the hated Duke Blue Devils winning the 2010 NCAA title.

They compounded that error by trying to use the image of Wildcat Julius Randle in a replacement ad to which UK and the NCAA sent his campaign cease and desist letters in doing so because it violates NCAA rules to use the images of current NCAA student athletes in advertising.

Final Four Fool Number three is Washington NFL franchise owner Daniel Snyder,  who is catching major heat for not changing the offensive nickname of his NFL team and tried to deflect criticism of his refusal to do so by starting the Original Americans Foundation.

Dave Zirin of The Nation dissects his open letter.

Final Four Fool Number four is Alaska state senator Pete Kelly (R) who continues the conservafool War on Women by trying to push a bill that would mandate state funded pregnancy tests before women are allowed to drink in bars.   As you probably guessed because of the (R) behind his name, the troglodyte also hates on birth control, too

Caribou Barbie desecrating our television screens to deny there's no Republican War on Women in 5...4...3...2...1...

This is why you need to be running to the polls on November 4.

This week's Shut Up fool winner is Timberlake 'Christian' School of Forest, VA, who kicked out 8 year old Sunnie Kahle because she wasn't 'feminine enough'  for them.

"You're probably aware that Timberlake Christian School is a religious, Bible believing institution providing education in a distinctly Christian environment,"Doris Thompson, Sunnie's grandmother, read from the letter to ABC 27. "We believe that unless Sunnie as well as her family clearly understand that God has made her female and her dress and behavior need to follow suit with her God-ordained identity, that TCS is not the best place for her future education."

Sunnie is in her tomboy phase and had a 4.0 average before her grandparents pulled her out of the school.

Incidents like this are why I am opposed to ANY public tax money school going to private schools like this.one.  But then again, TCS is near Lynchburg, VA, the old stomping grounds of the late fundie preacher, bigot and homophobe Jerry Falwell, so I'm not surprised to hear this story coming from that neck of the woods either.

Lte's do this.   Timberlake Christian School, thou fools need to stop flapping thy lips

If you didn't get that, here's the translation:   take it away Mr. T

Shut Up Fool Awards-Playing NCAA Basketball Edition

March Madness is upon us, with the men's NCAA tournament kicking off with action Tuesday  and the women set to tip off their action tomorrow.

And as per TransGriot tradition, I have my 2014 men's and women's NCAA tournament brackets up on the blog to see how accurate I was in picking the teams that will end up in Arlington and Nashville being crowned NCAA champions.

Well, it's Friday, and you know what we do here on Fridays.   We get to find out who exhibited championship level hypocrisy, discover who made it to the Sweet Sixteen of stupidity, the Elite Eight of ignorance, and the Final Four of fools

And until the NCAA tournaments conclude, I'll do it in an NCAA tournament format

Final Four Fool number one is a group award for all the Illinois GOP primary voters who made Suzanne Atanus their nominee to run against Democratic incumbent congresswoman Rep. Jan Schakowsky.

In case you needed a reminder of how off the rails Atanus is:

"I am a conservative Republican and I believe in God first," Atanus said. She said she believes God controls the weather and has put tornadoes and diseases such as autism and dementia on earth as punishment for gay rights and legalized abortions.
"God is angry. We are provoking him with abortions and same-sex marriage and civil unions," she said. "Same-sex activity is going to increase AIDS. If it's in our military it will weaken our military. We need to respect God."
The Stupid Party strikes again.   The Schakowsky campaign team has got to be doing the happy dance that Atanus is the GOP nominee.

Final Four Fool Number two I have to come back to the home state for in Cari Christman

During a WFAA-TV interview the Greg Abbott ally and head of the newly formed Red State Women PAC did the obligatory slam of Democratic gubernatorial nominee Sen Wendy Davis in response to a question about the Lone Star equal pay legislation that Gov. Goodhair (Rick Perry) vetoed and the Texas GOP opposes.

Then Christman put her pumps in her mouth and said with the cameras rolling that women were 'too busy' for equal pay legislation.

Keep running that Clayton Williams 2.0 campaign, Greg.

Final Four Fool number three is RuPaul Andre Charles, who once again let his transphobia fly on RuPaul's Drag Race.  I've already vented about that one.

Final Four Fool number four is South Dakota state senator Phil Jensen.   Jensen let his bigotry fly and stated that businesses should be able to deny services to anyone they wish on the basis of their religious beliefs and introduced a bill that would have allowed you to do that.

There y'all go again wanting those 'special rights' for white male Christofascists.

Senate Bill 128, which was characterized by South Dakota TBLG advocates and even some Republicans as “a mean, nasty, hateful, vindictive bill” fortunately died in committee

And Phi, that magical 'free market will shut down bigoted store owners' argument that you and other conservaidiots keep using to push these bigot bills has already been proven false.  Do the words 'Jim Crow segregation' ring a bell?

Israel PurimOur SUF winners this week we travel all the way to Israel for.

To be precise we go to the Jerusalem suburb of Mevasseret Zion to give out a group Shut Up Fool award to the 17 Israeli students at Harel High School who thought it would be great fun on Purim to dress up as Klan terrorists complete with the robes and pointed hoods.

But they didn't stop there.   Three of those students also were in blackface.

What, the costume store was out of Nazi SS uniforms?

Why am I not surprised?   Some of the stomach turning tactics the Israelis have used in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank against the Palestinians remind me at times of apartheid and Jim Crow segregation.

You need to expeditiously print the word DUNCE across those pointed hoods in English and Hebrew because if your parents, grandparents or relatives in the US haven't told you, the Klan, like the Nazis and the Aryan Nation,  hate you Jewish peeps too.   Two of the people memorialized at the Civil Rights Memorial in Montgomery, AL are Jews Andrew Goodman and Michael Schwerner

Harel HS students, shut up fools

Shut Up Fool Awards-Happy 40th Birthday Grace Park Edition

Today is the milestone birthday of actress Grace Park, who was born in Los Angeles in 1974, and raised in Vancouver after she and her family moved to Canada when she was 22 months old.

She is currently on the reimagined edition of Hawaii Five-0 as Officer Kono Kalakaua.

But what many Battlestar Galactica fans already know she was Cylon Model Number Eight, AKA Sharon 'Boomer Valerii and Sharon Athena Agathon.

So happy milestone birthday, Grace!

We'll segue from giving birthday shoutouts to handing our usual Friday 'bidness' here at TransGriot, which is calling out this weeks bumper crop of fools.

Honorable mention number one is a local fool in HISD superintendent Dr. Terry Grier.  In the wake of a highly contentious board meeting yesterday that in large part was stoked by the serial school killer proposing another round of closings that landed squarely on the Houston Black community, said this in a press release.

"School closure discussions are never easy.  However, we must continue to have constructive conversations on the issue of school size and school efficiency. Not to do so could be harmful to our communities and the students that reside in them. The goal remains creating better, stronger schools."

When all the school closure are only affecting one community, you're closing them regardless of performance and refusing to listen to the affected community calling that a 'constructive conversation', that's a problem.

Honorable mention number two is another Texas fool in Mario Gomez.   He's the promoter of a Selena tribute event in Corpus Christi who unleashed his transphobia and told #girllikeus Selena illusionist she wasn't welcome at his event, then tred to backtrack and claim he wasn't a 'phobe when the swift bacjklash rained down upon him.

Um, yeah Mario, when you tell a transwoman she isn't welcome at your event despite performing at it for three years, threaten her with arrest from the po-po's if she shows up and add at the end of the foul text you sent her  'nobody wants to see a male person dress up like a girl', you ARE a transphobe.

Honorable mention number three we go to the other end of I-10 for in Teapublican Arizona US House candidate Jim Brown, who obviously didn't get the memo about the GOP's minority outreach and made another ridiculous reference trying to equate government safety net programs to slavery.

Republicans, just say no the slavery analogies,.because they have ZERO credibility coming from the ethnic group who owned and brutalized my ancestors for 246 years.

Honorable mention number four New Hampshire Teapublican state rep Kyle Tasker, who was probably asleep when the GOP was having those 'How To Talk To Women' meetings..  Tasker posted a misogynist joke on his Facebook page that makes light of domestic violence.

Yeah GOP, you still are conducting a war on Women, and you'll get punished at the polls for it on November 4.

Honorable mention number five is Dr. Ben Carson.    I used to have much respect for him, but that's gone now after this conservaknee-grow parted his lips in a Breitbart interview to say the 'US is very much like Nazi Germany'

Really?  Your ass is still walking the streets and not in jail after saying such off the wall BS along with all your buddies at FOX Noise.   If you really want to know what living in Nazi Germany was like for a Black man, pick up a copy of the late Hans Massaquoi's Destined To Witness in which the EBONY managing editor tells his story of growing us as a Black child in that European dictatorship.

I have three words for you to conclude this.  Ihre Reichsausweis, Bitte

That's your papers, please in German.

Paul Ryan povertyOur Shut Up Fool Winner this week is Eddie Munster, oops Rep. Paul Ryan, one of the Great White Hope Republican Leaders that Rep. Lynn Jenkins of Kansas waxed so poetically aboutt in 2009.

Ryan in his zeal to prove the GOP does care about the poor, trotted out the racist dog whistles and parted his lips to say that 'inner city men aren't even thinking about work' while citing the work of the racist Charles Murray, then started backpedaling without apologizing for the initial racist comments when he got called out by Rep. Barbara Lee and others in Washington and the African-American community.

You know, you really need to put down The Bell Curve and join the rest of us in reality based America.
It is your budget and your party's economic policies that have made it hard on those same 'inner city men' to find good jobs at good wages along with the systemic issues of racism that conservafools like you refuse to acknowledge.

And yeah, when you have a history of using dog whistle comments in your speeches  and quote the work of a known racist, yeah there's a distinct possibility you will be considered a racist by the people you're discussing in those jacked up comments.

Rep Paul Ryan, shut up bigot, er fool.
