Shut Up Fool Awards- Messing With Texas Edition

The pressure is mounting for the Texas GOP majority to kick the unjust SB 6 to the curb, and they ain't liking the fact they are being called out on their transphobic bigotry.

The Texas business community, legislators with common sense, citizens and the NCAA, NFL and now the NBA have spoken about their opposition to the Texas Transgender Oppression Act .

Will the fools listen?

Nice segue into our usual Friday business of calling out the fools inside and outside of the Lone Star State and point out their rank hypocrisy, jaw dropping ignorance and what the frack level verbal statements

It's time for this week's edition of the TransGriot Shut Up Fool Awards

Honorable mention number one goes to  Donald Trump for just pick an outrage.

Honorable mention number two is Tom Brady, for hypocritically suggesting that his New England Patriot teammates who are planning to not show up at the Trump White House should 'put politics aside' and come.

Yeah, the same person that skipped the Patriots visit to the Obama White House for a bogus reason

Honorable mention number three is Carlos Santana who is not a singer, saying that Beyonce lost Album of the Year because ;she is not a singer',

The Beyhive is still pissed about that Grammy result, and turned on Santana.  After getting dragged by the Beyhive all over social media, he quickly changed his tune.

Honorable mention number four is Alex Jones, who said on his show in response to Jennifer Lopez;s Grammy speech that she should 'go get gang raped;.

Honorable mention number five is  Bill Maher, for inviting  Nazi racist Milo Yiannopoulos to his show and allowing his to spew racist rhetoric unchallenged.

Honorable mention number six is TX Gov. Greg Abbott who is mad because the NFL sent the warning shot that Texas will not get any more Super Bowls or NFL events if SB 6 is passed.

You and your GOP buds should work on fixing our broken foster care system and public school finance system instead of oppressing trans people.

This week's SUF winner is James Charles   Last year he became the male to get a Covergirl makeup spokesperson contract, and this week he tweeted something ugly by saying he was scared to go to Africa because it had Ebola.

What made this statement more ignorant and appalling was that he was going to the nation of South Africa which is one of the 54 counties on the African CONTINENT.

News flash:  As of January 14, 2016 the World Health Organization has stated that the African continent, which is the second largest and second most populous one on our planet, is now clear of Ebola.

He tried to at first defend it with the standard 'it's a joke' line, but he kept getting dragged on the Net by peeps who didn't see that as even remotely funny or a joke.  ,Calls have been coming forward for a boycott of CoverGirl if Charles isn't removed as a spokesperson

And yes, this is another example of gay folks and their casual racism and ignorance that needs to checked and called out.

Shut Up Fool Awards- Countdown To My TransGriot 10th Anniversary Edition

We are now in the moth of December, and I'm less than 30 days from the tenth anniversary of the founding of my TransGriot blog.  I will announce the winner of the 2015 Shut Up Fool of the Year on New year's Eve to kick the anniversary year off, and I'd also like to have you TransGriot readers who have been loyal readers to send me either video or written statements by December 25 letting me know in your own words how the existence of TransGriot over the last ten years has impacted your life.

But I know why you peeps surfed over here on a Friday. Y'all wanna know what fools I called out this week.  Well, never let it be said that I don't give my readers what they are clamoring for.

Let's get busy calling these fools out, shall we?


Honorable mention number one is Colorado state rep JoAnn Windholz (R) who did what the GOP does best and blamed the victims for getting killed in the Springs by a terrorist they stirred up with their anti-Planned parenthood lies.

Anything to deflect attention from the fact that you conservative white peeps are the terrorists, huh?

Honorable mention number two is Tex Gov Greg Abbott (R) with another badly timed tweet  as the San Bernadino mass shooting was happening.

Is it 2018 yet?

Honorable mention number three is FOX fembot Katie Pavlich who after her wash, set, color and  OP cranial rinse at the Stepford Salon, doesn't have a clue about white privilege.  

She also doesn't realize how stupid and bigoted she sounds to those of us who are conscious and passed Sociology 101

Honorable mention number four is Ryan T. Anderson, for even publishing this crap in the first place.   What is it about you white male conservatives?   Do you have a genetic propensity to gleefully discriminate and hate on people who don't look like you and you don't like?

Well, as my friend Polar has  said a few times, "Conservative think tank is an oxymoron."

Honorable mention number five is the Filipino judge who fell for the 'trans panic defense' okey doke and sentenced Joseph Pemberton to only 6-12 years in jail for homicide and not murder.

Honorable mention number six is Kenneth Adkins.  This kneegrow pastor has stuck his nose in Jacksonville human rights business and doesn't even live in Duval County anymore, but across the border in Georgia.

Honorable mention number six is the junior senator from Alberta in Ted Cruz, who made multiple jacked up comments this week such as trying to pass off a conservative anti-abortion 'terriss' as trans, trying to get people to ignore he was palling around with anti-abortion hate ministers,    

This week's fool is Ben Carson, who is a major contender for this year's Shut Up Fool of the Year Award.

Seems like Uncle Ben's grasp on foreign policy, as we suspected, is as suspect as the other issues he tries to discuss, and he mistook hummus, the food, for Hamas.   He also claimed the Star of David was on US currency when it isn't.

Shut Up Fool Awards-NFL Opening Weekend Edition

The 2015 NFL season kicked off last night with the defending champion (boo hiss) New England Patriots starting their title defense against the Pittsburgh Steelers.   The Steelers looked like they were about to get blown out early in this game, but hung in there to actually make it competitive.

But it was obvious they were missing the retired Troy Polamalu, and Brady torched their rookie filled secondary for 4 TD as they won 28-21.

As you know, I'm once again doing my NFL prognostication for this season with Mike and Eli, and we all got that game right.   The fun starts Sunday.

Speaking of fun, let's start calling out fools.  It's time for this week's edition of the TransGriot Shut Up Fool Awards..

Honorable mention number one we go north of the border for in Canadian comic Nicole Arbour, who ended up losing a movie gig after posting a now deleted fat shaming YouTube video

Honorable mention number two is Rep. James Sensenbrenner (R-WI) who parted his lips to make the absurd statement that Planned Parenthood can't be funded unless food stamps for children are cut.

And y'all wanna know why I despise the Republican Party and give you the side eye if you part your lips to stupidly say 'there's no difference between the two parties'.

Honorable mention number three is Sarah Palin for a double dip of idiocy.   First for opening her mouth and saying something that wasn't standard English at a GOP anti-Iran deal rally in Washington DC.

Then she went on FOX Noise and said that immigrants should learn how to 'speak American.'



Honorable mention number four is Linda Harvey, for calling on the faux christians to establish gay free sanctuary cities.     Yeah, that's going to run afoul of the 1968 Fair Housing Act

Have several seats, Linda and a nice tall glass of shut the hell up.

Honorable mention number five is Clatskanie, OR police chief Marvin Hoover, who had no problem letting his inner bigot out, then doubled down on the racism after he was called on it.

Honorable mention number six is immigration judge Lorraine Munoz, who let her transphobia run amok when trans people were brought before her court.

This week's Shut Up Fool loser winner is Mike Huckabee.  He's going to get multiple flags  off the chart ignorance.   In addition to trying to pump up Kim Davis as a hero for not doing her job,  he parted his lips to say that the 1857 Dred Scott SCOTUS decision is still the 'law of the land.'

Any middle school history student can tell you it isn't.  The 13th Amendment abolished slavery, and the 14th Amendment established birthright citizenship. Those two amendments were crafted to eviscerate the effects of that horrible case. and make the newly emancipated Black folks US citizens.

The fact this racist fool is trying to run for POTUS on the GOP side and doesn't know that is problematic on so many levels.

Shut Up Fool Awards- I Pity The Tool Edition

Hey, was nice to hear that our Shut Up Fool inspiration and  mascot Mr T is about to get back on TV with a new reality show called I Pity The Tool

In this show coming soon to your television screens on DIY Network, shows our hero demolishing outdated rooms and with the help of HGTV Design Star winner and interior designer Tiffany Brooks,  give a family a home makeover with beautifully remodeled rooms.

Sounds like an interesting premise.

As y'all know I pity tools here every Friday, but they are political tools, fools and peeps who just say and do some of the most mind boggling things.

So let's cut out the jibber- jabber and get to determining this week's Shut Up Fool

Honorable mention number one goes to Zoey Tur for a long list of problematic transphobic  statements I had to call her ass out for

Form the comment I posted to her on a mutual FB friend Elizabeth Rivera's page.

So if you don't like me calling you out, too damned bad. The way you avoid that now and in the future is change the nekulturny behavior that caused me to call your ass out in the first place.

When you came out, you had a community ready and willing to help you. Unfortunately you have killed much of that initial good will with your Susan Stanton 2.0 antics.

You still have time to change those negative perceptions, but the clock is ticking along with the rest of your credibility.

Honorable mention number two goes to Raven-Symone for cosigning that racist comment about the FLOTUS Rodner Figueroa got himself fired from Univision for last week by stating on The View that 'some people look like animals'

Yeah Raven,, we can call you Toucan Sam, but we can't call you a lesbian or African-American. You look like a bird alright, the dodo bird.

Honorable mention number three to Rick Wiles for 'scurring' his conservafool listeners by telling them they have one year to get out of the country before it is 'destroyed by the POTUS'.

You got it twisted dude.   President Obama is trying to save the country from your racists asses.

Bye haters...Don't let the door hit you where the good Lord split ya.   And don't forget to pay your taxes on the way out.

Honorable mention number four is Dinesh D'Souza, who parted his lips to say that the left hates him because he is a non-white immigrant patriot..

Naw son, we dislike you because you are ca convicted felon and a clueless tool.

Honorable mention number five is FOX Noise fembot Andrea Tantaros, who doesn't like along with her FOX controllers the idea of every American voting.

Honorable mention number six is LA USD  'teacher' Steven Carnine, who is probably bucking for membership in the Orange County KKK after making racist remarks to African-American and mixed race students in his class.

This week's Shut Up Fool loser winner is is ESPN's Stephen A Smith, who parted his lips to suggest at a Vanderbilt University speech that for one election cycle, all Black folks should vote Republican in 2016.

Um not  no Stephen, but OH HELL NO!.  I'm not voting for a party that has hated on me and my people since 1964 and has anti-trans legislation popping up in FL, KY and TX.

Are you not paying attention to the fact that 2016 is a presidential election year?   We must have a Democratic president in the White House to finish replacing all the GOP leaning federal judges appointed by Reagan and Daddy Bush that are now hitting retirement age.   There are three possible SCOTUS seats that will pop open in the next presidential term and I want a Democratic POTUS, whoever he or SHE is, picking those judicial nominees.

And I want a Democratic POTUS poised with their veto pen to kill any jacked up Republican legislation that comes to his desk.

Shut Up Fool Awards-Championship Weekend Edition

College basketball junkies have been gorging themselves on nonstop hoops in preparation for the 2015 edition of March Madness, AKA the NCAA Men's and women's basketball tournaments.

The non and mid major conferences started having their conference tournaments to decide who gets the NCAA tourney bids last week, and now going into this weekend the major conferences are handling their tournament business.

Speaking of handling my business, time for me to handle some Friday business that you come to love in terms of the weekly TransGriot Shut Up Fool Awards.  

Time to determine what fool, fools or group of fools exhibited championship level arrogance,  shadiness, and just jaw dropping WTF level stupidity.

Honorable mention number one is all the Mississippi Republicans who in a recent poll stated that interracial marriage shold be illegal.

Really?  That hatred of interracial marriage is so 20th century.  I guess next you'll be agitating for Mississippi to secede from the USA.

Honorable mention number two, another group award for Joe Scarborough and his Morning Joe MSNBC team for idiotically stating during a discussion about that situation on the OU campus that rap music was the cause foe two white SAE member to be caught on tape singing a racist ditty.  That led to Black Twitter calling his clueless behind out.

Are you really that jawdroppingly clueless about whiteness and white supremacy?   Obviously Joe, you most certainly are.

Honorable mention number three is Craig James, who must have played too much football with his helm,et off and parted his lips to say that supporting same sex marriage is the work of Satan.

Funny,  I think being a GOP conservafool oppressor is the work of, help me out here Church Lady.

Honorable mention number four is attorney Michael Carvin,.  The man arguing in front of the SCOTUS to kill Obamacare actually parted his lips to say that that the difference between this King v. Burwell lawsuit and the one in 2012 is that unlike the 2012 challenge, the argument on Wednesday is on "a statute that was written three years ago, not by dead white men but by living white women and minorities."

Mr. Carvin, your pointed white hood is showing.  but then again Antonin Scalia and his kneegrow ventriloquist dummy probably liked that argument.pro

Honorable mention number five is Frank Ancona, the Imperial Wizard of the Traditionalist American Knights of the Tea Party, oops Ku Klux Klan, who parted his mouth after he took off his pointed hood to state that his group is a Christian organization

Naw you idiot, you've been an unrepentantly racist and anti-Semitic terrorist organization since 1866.

Honorable mention number six is Rudy Giuliani, who let something stupid fly out of his mouth once again and stated that President Obama should be more like Bill Cosby

Dude, have several seats in Yankee Stadium and a nice tall glass of STFU.  

And yeah, you're in the running for the Shut Up Fool of the Year award.

Honorable mention number seven is Ronald Brockmeyer, the Ferguson, Mo judge who levied crushing fines on residents of that town that ruined lives in some cases, is himself a delinquent tax payer who owes the feds $170,000 in back taxes.

I suspect that you'll get far more mercy from the IRS than you gave people who entered your courtroom.

Honorable mention number eight is former Emmy award winning Univision host Rodner Figueroa.  It FORMER host because on Wednesday he dissed First Lady Michelle Obama on the El Gordo y El Flaca show.    Figueroa does biting fashion commentary, and took it way past the valley of good tasts in a segment discussing the work of make-up artist Paolo Ballesteros who posts photos of himself transformed into female celebrities, when he stated that the First Lady looks like a character from Planet Of the Apes.

And what made this hate on Black women moment more insulting is that the Venezuelan born Figueroa is Afro-Latino.
Sadly, demonizing Blackness and Black womanhood is an international pasttime.

Honorable mention number nine is Matthew Pennell.   This now former staffer for anti-gay 'pro-family' Congressman Tim Huelskamp (R-KS)  was arrested on 17 counts of sexual exploitation of a child.

And tell em once again, who are the child predators? 

This week's SUF loser winner is is every GOP senator that violated the Logan Act and signed that jacked up letter to Iran.

Thought international politics and diplomacy stopped at the water's edge. 

But I guess you make a racist exception GOP when it comes to a Democratic African-American POTUS you have unprecedented levels of hatred for and execute Massive Resistance 2.0 for everything he attempts to do that will make this country better.

Upcoming 2015 SUF Lifetime Achievement Awards- Who Will Win?

I've been doing the TransGriot Shut Up Fool weekly awards for now six years, and it is overwhelmingly the most popular feature on my now nine year old blog.

It became so popular that it spawned the Shut Up Fool of the Year Award that I give out every New Year's Eve.

There are just fools among us who repeatedly exhibit their world class levels of stupidity and rank hypocrisy so often that a Shut Up Fool Weekly Award or a Shut Up Fool of the Year just doesn't do them justice.  

So during Oscar Weekend 2010 I started giving out a SUF Lifetime Achievement Award, with Rush Limbaugh being honored with the first ever well deserved SUF Lifetime Achievement Award

One SUF Lifetime fool wasn't enough, so I expanded it to five honorees in 2011.  Here were the 2011 winners:

Who Will Be The Shut Up Fool Of The Year For 2014?

One of the features of this blog that you longtime TransGriot readers have repeatedly told me you love is the weekly Shut Up Fool Awards.

An outgrowth of that is an eagerly awaited by my readers New Year's Eve tradition in which on December 31,  I take the time to honor the person, persons or group who had a year's worth of WTF moments with the TransGriot Shut Up Fool of the Year Award.

With this being an election year, I had plenty of fools to choose for this honor who showed consistent levels of stupidity, arrogance and ignorance from January 1 to December 31.

But with New Year's Eve fast approaching, need to not only decide who gets it for 2104 with your help, but remind y'all who were the previous peeps who walked away with Shut Up Fool of The Year honors.

The inaugural winner in 2009 was then RNC chair Michael Steele who ran away with that title.  He was followed by Sarah Palin in 2010,.   In 2011 Herman Cain snagged the honor over some stiff competition followed by runaway 2012 winner Mitt Romney. 

Last year it was the junior senator from Alberta, Ted Cruz making the late run to snag the 2013 Shut Up Fool of The Year honors.

So who will win it for 2014?    Good question.    You'll need to check the blog at noon CST on New Year's Eve to find out.

Shut Up Fool Awards-Happy Hannukah 2014 Edition

We are now into the third day of the Festival of Lights, which means the third candle will be lit on the menorahs of my Jewish friends, trans family and allies who celebrate this holiday.

And yes, they do have some creative menorahs to hold those holiday candles like this Star Trek Next Gen one.

Today is also Friday, and it means I have the pleasure of selecting what fool, fools, or group of fools get called out in this edition of the TransGriot Shut Up Fool Awards.

And yep, still sorting out who will be the 2014 year's Shut Up Fool of the Year

So lets get busy revealing who this week's holiday fools are shall we?

Honorable mention number one is Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) who if freaking out over President Obama's announcement of normalized relations with Cuba. 

Dude, the policy is over five decades old and hasn't worked.   It's time to try something different.

Honorable mention number two is Missouri State Rep. Rick Brattin, (R) who proposed a bill that would require a woman to get permission from a man to get an abortion, even if he is abusive to her.

WTF?  Well peeps, these are the type of proposed laws you get when you won't vote and the conservafools get elected.

Honorable mention number three is Ann Coulter,  for being her usual ugly self.


Honorable mention number four is a group award for Dave Welch and his Houston Area Pastors Council.   Not content with meddling in Houston human rights business and screwing up, they have now trained their sights 260 miles north to Plano and trying to get their just passed human rights law on a repeal ballot.

Hope you have the same success with that you had on this end of I-45.

This week's SUF winner is Sen Ted Cruz (Teabagger-TX).   

We can thank the junior senator from Alberta for his failed immigration political stunt during the waning days of the lame duck session.  

Because of that failed stunt, it gave the Democrats two critical extra days to confirm President Obama's pick to be Surgeon General, Dr Vivek Murthy,  and multiple judicial nominees that they gleefully took advantage of.

In addition to Teabagger Ted putting himself back in the running for a 2014 Shut Up Fool of the Year  win,, he pissed off his own party while the Democrats gleefully took advantage of his unforced political error. and rubbed it in his face after doing so.

Is it 2018 yet?

Shut Up Fool Awards-Houston, We Have Human Rights Liftoff Edition

As the whole world knows by now, my hometown finally passed the Houston Equal Rights ordinance on an 11-6 vote on Wednesday and is now in effect.. 

Thanks to everyone who busted their behinds (and still are) on Team HERO to make this historic day happen.

It's now up to the faith based haters to decide whether they will try to collect the signatures to try to repeal it, but in the interim Team HERO will be working to shore up support, strengthen our coalition and do the Trans 101 education to eradicate the anti-trans lies they put out there.

And since it's Friday, y'all know what that means.  It's time to revel what fool, fools or group of fools deserve to get called out and recognized for their hypocrisy, their jaw dropping ignorance and general WTF actions in this week's edition of the TransGriot Shut Up Fool Awards. 

Honorable Mention number one is a joint award for Houston councilmembers Dwight Boykins and Jack Christie.  Both indicated when they were seeking the LGBT Caucus endorsement and our votes they would support a HERO like ordinance.  But when push came to shove May 28, both voted NO.

Good luck trying to get Caucus endorsement when you both run next year

Honorable Mention number two goes to Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) , who is in the Senate race of his political life with his high stakes battle with Democratic nominee Alison Lundergan Grimes.  He got caught lying about the popular KYNECT health care program that has enrolled over 400K people and saying that killing the ACA wouldn't affect it.   Gov. Steve Beshear (D) called his azz on it. 
 
Honorable Mention number three is Earl Cheney, the owner of Big Earl's BBQ and Bait House in Pittsburg, TX that served up homophobia on the menu to a gay couple.  .

With a last name like Cheney, which should I not be surprised? 

Honorable Mention number four goes to RuPaul's Drag Race winner Bianca Del Rio for letting his transphobia fly and attacking Carmen Carrera for justifiably putting RuPaul on blast for his continued attempts to try to justify using a slur words.

This is another example of gay men letting their vicious transphobia fly when all we're asking for is the same humanity and respect they demand for themselves .

This week's Shut Up Fool Winner is Ken Blackwell.   I have long despised this cookie chomping kneegrow for his actions to depress Black turnout in Ohio during the 2004 presidential election, and now he adds to his disgusting legacy by trying to blame gays for the UCSB mass shootings.

Naw Ken, let's be real for a minute.  The fault lies with your fetishistic gun worshiping buds in the NRA.   They refuse to allow any reasonable gun control legislation that keeps guns out of the hands of disturbed individuals, despite the rising frequency and body counts of mass shootings.

Take it away Mr. T.  I'm too tired and disgusted to type it in this case.

Well people, Oscar week is approaching, and that means it's time for me to add another five names to my ever growing list of Shut Up Fool Lifetime Achievement Award winners.

Gives me something else to do besides wasting my valuable time watching Black actors and actresses nominated for Oscars getting snubbed.   

But that's another post. 

There are just fools among us who repeatedly exhibit their world class levels of stupidity and rank hypocrisy so often that a Shut Up Fool Weekly Award or a Shut Up Fool of the Year just doesn't do them justice.   So I started giving out a SUF Lifetime Achievement Award during Oscar Weekend 2010, with Rush Limbaugh being honored with the first ever well deserved SUF award

One wasn't enough, so I expanded it to five honorees in 2011 and here were the 2011 winners

Shut Up Fool Awards-5th Anniversary Issue

On January 30, 2009 I began what has turned out to be one of the more popular features on TransGriot in my weekly Shut Up Fool Awards.   Juan Williams of Fox Noise was our inaugural winner of that first award and they have been a plethora of them ever since.

Since yesterday was the fifth anniversary  of the Shut Up Fool Awards, I'm also going to start doing a Shut Up Fool of the Month.

But first, let's just get right to the 'bidness' at hand and select this week's fool, fool or group of fools.

This week's winner I'm going to Russia for, and naw it ain't Russian President Vladimir Putin.  The award goes to Sochi Mayor Anatoly Pakhomov, who claimed in a BBC interview there are 'no gay people' in his city.  Oh really?  The patrons of the several gay oriented night clubs in Sochi say otherwise.

Yeah right, and next you're going to tell me that Sochi is NOT on the Black Sea.  Peddle that BS somewhere else.

And how do you say Shut Up Fool! in Russian?  
 

Shut Up Fool Awards-Countdown To Creating Change 2014 Edition

Been piling up my beauty sleep this week because this time next Friday I will be knee-deep in doing my part to welcome the estimated 4000 people coming to my hometown for Creating Change 2014.

I'm looking forward to seeing many of my old friends, sisters and brothers in the TBLG movement and soon to be new friends at the Hilton Americas Hotel.

And of course I had to be in the house for the first time this eagerly anticipated conference is taking place on my end of I-45    I will be taking part in some of the seminars and panel discussion happening at the host hotel from January 29-February 2.

And for those of you coming to Houston, the program is already up, so you can start planning your CC14 Houston experience before you get inside Harris County.


Looking forward to seeing as many of you and doing my part to help move our human rights movement forward. 

Now it's time to move forward to discussing our usual Friday business of exposing what fool, fools or group of fool deserve to be called out for their mind numbing stupidity, their affluenza fueled arrogance, hubris, and over the top hypocrisy.

Honorable mention number one is a group award that goes to all you peeps who threw racist shade at Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman post NFC Championship game and Serena Williams after she was upset in the fourth round of the Australian Open 

Honorable Mention number two goes to Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX) who opposes the bipartisan plan to revive the Voting Rights Act because it 'discriminates against Texas'. 

Say what?  If you and your GOP buddies weren't doing all the shady stuff to openly suppress the votes of non-white Texans, draw grossly gerrymandered maps that got unanimously thrown out by a federal three judge panel dominated by GOP nominees, passed a discriminatory voter suppression law, and has a long negative history of voting discrimination that necessitated the 1965 act being passed in the first place,  Texas wouldn't be getting all this scrutiny in the first place.

Honorable Mention number three is FOX Noise fembot Sandy Rios, who parted her lips to ignorantly say that 'angry Blacks are to blame for the rise in white racism.'  

Umm naw Miss Thang, you got is twisted and wrong as usual.   Racism= prejudice/bigotry + systemic power.   That systemic power element is the critical component you conservafools ALWAYS want to leave out when we start having these national race discussions and why you conservatives massively fail at doing so. 

And yeah Sandy, we African Americas sure do have a lot to be angry about, and we'll show you just how pissed off we are come November 4.

Honorable Mention number four is Oakland County GOP Executive (who else) L. Brooks Patterson, a serial Detroit basher who racistly suggested that they herd all Native Americans into Detroit, build a fence around it, and then throw in the blankets and the corn.

Guess the idea sounded better at the Klan meeting  Michigan GOP headquarters.

Honorable Mention number five is Ted Nugent.  Yep, he's baaaack for calling the POTUS a 'subhuman mongrel'.   Yo Ted, your jackboots and swastika are showing.  

And BTW, didn't you say you'd be dead if President Obama was reelected?  What's stopping you from doing the country that favor?

Honorable mention number six is a joint award for Don Lemon and Niger Innis for their faux outrage on Conservative News Network CNN aimed at North Carolina NAACP president the Rev Dr. William Barber for calling Sen. Tim Scott (Teabagger SC)  a 'ventriloquist dummy for the Tea Party'.  

And you two knee-grows problems with that truthful assessment would be?   He has an 'F' grade on the NAACP Civil Right report card.   Name one issue that Tim Scott has spoken on in favor of or voted with our people in the entire time he's been in Congress.

Getting sick of this bitter-tasting Log Cabin Republican tinged Lemon-aid coming from him lately.

Honorable mention number seven is Florida GOP House candidate Joshua Black.  This knee-grow opened his moth to say that President Obama should be hung, and then subsequently doubled down on the Teapublican idiocy.

All I have to say in response to that jaw dropping stupidity is this.

Please Florida voters in House District 68, make sure on November 4 or whenever you're having your primary election that this Oreo cookie-chomping fool never sets foot inside the Tallahassee city limits or your state capitol building.

This week's Shut Up Fool winner is GOP congressional candidate Susanne Altamus, who is running in the Illinois GOP primary race to see who will oppose incumbent Rep Jan Schakowsky.

She opened her mouth to say that God created autism and dementia and extreme weather conditions to punish the US for legalized abortion and increasing national support for marriage equality.

“God is angry,” Altamus told the Chicago Daily Herald. “We are provoking him with abortions and same-sex marriage and civil unions. Same-sex activity is going to increase AIDS. If it’s in our military it will weaken our military. We need to respect God.”

And your party is angry enough with you over those jacked up remarks that they kicked you to the curb and called for you to resign from the race, not that you had any chance to beat Jan Schakowsky in the first place before you opened you mouth and inserted your pumps in it..

But still, y'all really need to chill with the 'Conservagod is angry' line because of  (insert your Consrvafool Culture War social issue here).

That comment is also insulting and disrespectful to all the families in the Chicagoland area and elsewhere in this country who have relatives who are dealing with autism and dementia issues. 
 
 So Susanne Altamus, shut the hell up fool!  

2013 Shut Up Fool Of The Year

In what has become an eagerly awaited by my readers New Year's Eve tradition, on December 31 I take the time to honor the person, persons or group who had a year's worth of WTF moments with the TransGriot Shut Up Fool of the Year Award.

It grew out of my weekly Shut Up Fool Awards that I started in 2009 to honor the people or groups of people who have exhibited mind blowing ignorance, stupidity, hypocrisy and cluelessness over that week

The Shut Up Fool Of The Year covers the entire calendar year from January 1 until today

To remind you of the people who have previously snagged this Shut Up Fool of the Year honor, one was 2012 winner Mitt Romney.    The previous winners were then RNC chair Michael Steele in 2009 who captured the inaugural one,  Sarah Palin in 2010 and in 2011 Herman Cain snagged the honor over some stiff competition.   

During the midyear review for the Shut Up Fool of The Year which I just inaugurated this year and will continue into the future, it was Rep Louie Gohmert (R-TX) who had the runaway lead at that point.

But what a difference six months makes.

Enough jibber-jabber, I'm going to get right to naming the 2013 Shut Up Fool Of The Year so you can go into your New Year's Eve partying secure in the knowledge you know who won it.

But first, before I announce the winner, the runners-up for this year's honor.

Rep. Louie Gohmert (Teapublican-TX),  failed (thank God) Virginia Lt Governor candidate EW Jackson, Erik Rush, Rep Steve Stockman (Teapublican-TX), The GOP (group nomination), TX Attorney General Greg Abbott (R), FOX Noise (group nomination) , Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, The Tea Klux Klan (group nomination), Rafael Cruz, Sr., Toronto Mayor Rob Ford and making a late charge for it, Bryan Fischer, Scott Lively, Megyn Kelly and Sarah Palin.

This year's 2013 Shut Up Fool of the Year is Sen. Ted Cruz  (Teabagger-TX) 

Whether it was him making an ass out of himself with his ridiculous statements, reading Green Eggs and Ham during his faux filibuster, loudly proclaiming he was going to renounce his Canadian citizenship and shill having it as of today, insulting Sybrina Fulton and the African-American community during a Senate hearing by claiming 'Stand Your Ground' laws are good for us, cheerleading the government shut down and now subsequently trying to two step away from it later, the junior senator from Alberta not only was an embarrassment to himself, but for the state of Texas.

And unfortunately we're stuck with his behind until 2018.   

On behalf of all liberal progressive Texans, Mr T says it best for all of us and what we as his unfortunate constituents would like to say to our 2013 SUF of the Year honoree to his face.
