Shut Up Fool Awards- Moni's Milestone Birthday Edition

As you TransGriot readers are aware of, I'm in the midst of enthusiastically celebrating my milestone birthday today.

I thank all of you peeps who have been sending me birthday greetings, whether its been on my Facebook page, e-mailed, or you took the time out of your busy schedules to call me.

But today is also Friday, and you TransGriot readers know what that means.  It's time for me to take a break for a few moments from celebrating being on the planet for half a century and focus on shining a bright spotlight on the fool, fools or group of fools who so richly deserve to earn my birthday edition of the TransGriot Shut Up Fool Award.

As usual, group nods go to the Republican Party, Fox Noise, the transphobic rad fems, the TS separatists, the GOP end of the Tennessee legislature, and the GOP end of the Missouri legislature,

The individuals nominated this week are Mitt Romney, Ann Romney, Bryan Fischer, Karl Rove, Gretchen Carlson,  Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI), Gov. Scott Walker (R-WI), Rep. Eric Cantor (R-VA), Gov. Bob McDonnell (R-VA), Gov Rick Scott (R-FL), Rep Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA), Rev. Billy Graham, Newt Gingrich, Joel Osteen, Pastor Sean Harris and Alex Castellanos.

Honorable mention goes to Jodie Brunstetter, the wife of North Carolina state Sen. Peter Brunstetter (R).  She stated the reason her hubby sponsored the homophobic anti same gender marriage Amendment One going to North Carolina voters on Tuesday is to 'preserve the Caucasian race'.

Hmm. no wonder y'all have major support from North Carolina white supremacists for this unjust amendment.  Did y'all create a Jesse Helms hologram to drum up support for it, too?

The winner this week is also from North Carolina in Pastor Patrick Wooden..  This knee-grow who runs the Upper Room Church of God in Christ in Raleigh, NC  (Rep.Virginia Foxx territory)  has been given the task of trying to pimp Amendment One to North Carolina's Black community and made some spurious charges in his attempts to do his Stepin Fechit routine for Amendment One.

So before some of you peeps start attacking religion or the African-American community again with that discredited 'uniquely homophobic' meme, need to point out that the Rev Dr. William Barber, the president of the North Carolina NAACP has been front and center doing a yeoman's job along with other Black North Carolinians as part of the diverse coalition fighting Amendment One..

But back to barbecuing Pastor Wooden over his homophobic ignorance.

Wooden claimed that a gay male had a cell phone stuck in his anus a spurious charge that Pam Spaulding of Pam's House Blend fame quickly called his cookie chomping azz (pun intended) on.

And oh yeah Pastor Wooden.  Arent you in violation of two commandments?  Thou shalt not lie and thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor?

Pastor Patrick Wooden, shut up Fool!

Shut Up Fool Awards-NFL Draft Weekend Edition

The 2012 NFL Draft kicked off yesterday and the first round was conducted in primetime with as expected Houstonian Andrew Luck becoming the number one overall pick of the Indianapolis Colts.   My fave NFL team with it's first round pick selected Illinois DL Whitney Mercilous.

Rounds 2-3 happen later tonight and 4-7 on Saturday

But let's move on from the football jibber jabber because it's Friday and you longtime TransGriot readers know what what means.   It's time for me to select this week's fool, fool or group of fools and expose their ignorance and stupidity to the world.

As always I had too many fools being nominated by my readers this week    In addition to the group nominations for the Republican Party, Fox News, and The Boy Scouts for continued bigotry aimed at the GLBT community, the individual ones were for Rep Paul Ryan (R-WI), Speaker John Boehner (R-OH), Newt Gingrich, Mitt Romney, Karl Rove, Gretchen Carlson, Eric Boehlert, Reince Priebus, Gov Scott Walker (R-WI), Rep Louie Gohmert (R-TX), and Ann Romney

Honorable mention goes to Marine Sgt  Gary Stein, who didn't read the part of the Constitution that states the POTUS is commander in chief of our armed forces and finds himself  discharged from the military.   Dude, it's not a smart play to let your WMP and teabagger politics overload your azz and  say that you will refuse to obey any orders that your African-American commander in chief POTUS issues.

This week's winner is Rep Virginia Foxx (R-NC)   Even though I recently retired her from weekly consideration for Shut Up Fool Awards, since I'm a child of a retired teacher and abhor ignorance on such massive a scale, I had to temporarily bring her out of it to call her butt out.

“I have very little tolerance for people who tell me that they graduate with $200,000 of debt or even $80,000 of debt because there’s no reason for that. We live in an opportunity society and people are forgetting that. I remind folks all the time that the Declaration of Independence says ‘life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.’ You don’t have it dumped in your lap.”
And this is from the woman who chairs the House Subcommittee on Higher Education.   Is November 6 here yet?

Rep Virginia Foxx, shut the HELL up fool.

Shut Up Fool Awards- Fenway Park 100 Anniversary Edition

Today is the 100th anniversary of the opening of the holy shrine for Red Sox Nation, Fenway Park in Boston.

It was on this date in 1912 the Red Sox played their first game against the New York Highlanders (now the Yankees).   In honor of this auspicious occasion the team Red Sox Nation calls 'The Evil Empire' will return to play in the Fenway Park Anniversary game as both squads wear 1912 throwback uniforms to mark the occasion.

But y'all don't wanna hear me talk about baseball.   I know what day and what time it is.   It's Friday, and that means it's time to unveil this week's TransGriot Shut Up Fool award winner for this week.

So let's get right to who hit home runs when it comes to hypocrisy and championship level stupidity.

Oyr nominees this week were Rep Eric Cantor (R-VA) Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) Gov Scott Walker (R-WI), Rep Paul Ryan (R-WI), Mitt Romney, Ann Romney, Dick Cheney, Gretchen Carlson, Eric Bohlert, Reince Priebus, and group nods to the Republican Party, ALEC  and Fox Noise.

Honorable mention this week goes to Roman Catholic Bishop Daniel Jenky who dissed the POTUS by comparing him to a 1930's European dictator.

The runaway winner is Ted Nugent, who put his foot in his mouth at the just concluded NRA convention in St Louis by uttering anti Obama statements that earned him a well deserved visit by the Secret Service, then doubled down on it..

Teddy boy's comments were so off the charts inflammatory that even the NRA deleted them from their website and the Romney campaign after proudly trumpeting they had his endorsement now wants to pretend he doesn't exist.

And this wasn't the first time he went off about the POTUS and Secretary Clinton.  He also had a jacked up rant in 2007.

Ted  Nugent, shut the HELL up fool!

Shut Up Fool Awards- The Taxman Cometh Edition

For those of you who are still working on your taxes, thanks to the April 15 deadline falling on a Sunday the IRS graciously has given you until midnight April 17th to get those tax forms done and mailed to them.

But before you peruse those returns and make sure you have double checked them to ensure you have every dollar you have coming to you from Uncle Sam in refund money (or are making sure you don't owe Uncle Sam) let's take a moment to engage in our usual Friday TransGriot business of ensuring we call out the fool or fools that so richly deserve our illustrious award for their stupidity.

As always, we have many contenders for this week's award, and we have our usual group nominations for the Republican Party and Fox Noise.   Our other nominees are GOP chair Reince Priebus, Barbara Walters, Gov. Scott Walker (R-WI), Sen Mitch McConnell (R-KY), Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI), Mitt Romney, Rick Santorum and Newt Gingrich.

Honorable mention this week goes to Miami Marlins manager Ozzie Guillen who opened his mouth and got himself a 5 day suspension for expressing admiration of Fidel Castro

The problem is that the Marlins just opened a new pop top ballpark in Little Havana, a neighborhood chock full of Cubans who have resided there since the 60's because of the man Ozzie praised and who still hate his guts.   He apologized for the remarks, but now the Marlins are facing a boycott from Miami's Cuban community because of Ozzie's big mouth.

This week's winner also resided in South Florida in the person of Rep. Allen West (R-FL)

He was channeling his inner Eugene McCarthy when in response to a constituent question at a town hall asking how many members of Congress were card carrying Marxists, the Tea Klux Klan's favorite knee-grow asserted that there were 78 to 81 Democrats who were members of the Communist Party and threw the members of the Congressional Progressive Caucus under his McCarthyite bus.

The comment was so laughable the real Communist Party quickly issued a statement lambasting West.

Dude, calling someone a communist is so 20th century.   And this is the man that Caribou Barbie thinks should be a vice presidential pick for Mitt Romney?   This man is an embarrassment even to the sellout knee-grows in the GOP.

Rep. Allen West, shut up fool!

Shut Up Fool Awards- Good Friday Edition

It's Holy Week, and today is Good Friday as we Christians around the world commemorate the series of events that lead up to Jesus Christ's crucifixion and eventual resurrection on Easter Sunday.

In addition to the Holy Week activities, we also have the Masters going on in Augusta, GA and the opening of the 2012 major League baseball season.   It's a bittersweet one for Astros fans because it's not only the 50th anniversary year of the founding of the club, it's the Astros last season in the National League.

Since it's Friday, that also means it's time for me to let y'all know what fool, fool or group of fools distinguished themselves and earned the TransGriot Shut Up Fool award.

And as always, we had plenty of competition for it.   Group awards to the Republican Party, the radfems and Fox Noise, and the Zimmerman legal team for starters.  In the mix for it this week are GOP chair Reince Priebus, Speaker John Boehner (R-OH), Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY), Karl Rove, Rep Paul Ryan (R-WI), Gov. Scott Walker (R-WI), Mitt Romney, Rick Santorum, Robert Zimmerman, and Piers Morgan.

This week's Shut up Fool award goes to Donald Trump.   He's in the middle of a transphobic controversy due to a trans contestant unfairly being booted from the Miss Canada Universe pageant no thanks to a rule he ignorantly instituted in 2001 as owner of the Miss Universe pageant system.

After reversing the initial phobic decision by Canadian pageant officials and allowing Jenna Talackova to compete, he then says in the wake of the press conference she and Gloria Allred held,  "I did not know that she had a lawyer and especially Gloria Allred,” Trump said. “In fact, had I known it was Gloria Allred, I probably would not have reversed my decision because, you know, Gloria is easy to beat.”

He also says in reaction to Allred's comment that no one asked him drop his pants to prove his gender that Allred would be in his words she would be impressed with his genitalia.

“I think that Gloria would be very, very, very impressed with [my penis],” Trump told TMZ’s Harvey Levin. “I think she would have a whole brand new image of Donald Trump.”

Maybe we should ask Ivana about that.  But the image we do have of you is not very flattering to begin with.

Donald Trump, shut the hell up fool!

Shut Up Fool Awards- Black Transmen Conference Edition

A historic event is taking place this weekend in Dallas as the first annual Black Transmen Conference  kicked off March 29.  The keynote speaker is Minister Louis Mitchell and I know my transbrothers and their guests and supporters are experiencing a wonderful and empowering weekend.

It's Friday, so that means I get to attend to my usual business of selecting the fool, fools or group of fools who have so richly deserved and earned this week's Shut Up Fool Award.

We had many nominees for it this week in terms of the Republican Party, Fox Noise, Mitt Romney, Rick Santorum, Newt Gingrich, Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) , Speaker John Boehner (R-OH), Rep Eric Cantor (R-VA), Rep Louie Gohmert (R-TX),  Joe Oliver, Geraldo Rivera, Robert Zimmerman, Tavis Smiley, Dr Cornel West and Michelle Malkin.

Honorable mention goes to Stephanie Eisner, the 'cartoonist' at The Daily Texan, the student newspaper at the University of Texas for her racist take on the Trayvon Martin case.

But our winner this week is Tea Klux Klan favorite Rep. Joe Walsh (R-IL).   He hit a new low when he disrespected former Rep Tammy Duckworth who is running for Congress again after serving in the Obama administration

Walsh told Politico in a recent interview, "What else has she done? Female, wounded veteran ... ehhh."

In addition to serving in the Obama Administration as the Assistant Secretary for Public and Intergovernmental Affairs in the Veterans Administration from 2009-2011 Duckworth served our country as a Black Hawk helicopter pilot in Iraq in 2004, and lost her legs and part of the use of her right arm. She was awarded the Purple Heart for her combat injuries and is still active as a Lieutenant Colonel in the Illinois National Guard while you were busy being a deadbeat dad and piling up a six figure child support debt.

She's a better American than you will ever be and will make a wonderful congressmember for the Illinois 8th District.

Rep. Joe Walsh, shut up fool!
