Saturday Sellout-Star Parker

Star Parker is the founder and president of a non profit organization called CURE, The Center for Urban Renewal and Education that ccording to her bio, is 'a think tank that provides a national voice of reason on issues of race and poverty in the media, inner city neighborhoods, and public policy'. 

What she doesn't say is that she's a right wing shill who is deployed when they want a non-white someone to attack social programs in conservative media and pimp their message. 

Parker's personal story is that she had several abortions, was on drugs and welfare before becoming a born again Christian.   She returned to college and started a business that was destroyed during the 1992 LA Riots.

You can see her on Fox noise and various other networks regurgitating right wing talking points, and see he column in various papers from time to time.

Like all the conservanegros, she's written three waste of tree books, and spoke at the 1996 Republican National Convention.   In 2010 was part of that large group of Black Republicans who ran for office and ran in California's 37th Congressional District against incumbent congresswoman Laura Richardson.  Despite a $1.1 million campaign war chest, an outside conservative group running $50,000 worth of negative ads on her behalf and endorsements from Newt Gingrich and Sarah Palin, Rep. Richardson easily won reelection to a second congressional term by a 78.3%-22.7% margin.

But we haven't seen the last of Star Parker, and you'll definitely see her cookie chomping visage on a television screen near you.

Saturday Sellout-Jesse Lee Peterson

Today TransGriot class, it's time to get your learn on and be introduced to another Saturday Sellout.

Say hello to Jesse Lee Peterson.  The Alabama born Los Angeles based conservanegro has been on Fox News, hosted a cable TV show, has written for WingNutDaily, and as Renee of Womanist Musings can tell you, has a syndicated radio talk show in which one of the stations that carries that waste of airtime is here in Houston in addition to being broadcast on stations in Memphis, New Orleans, and Tampa.

Jesse is the go to guy when the conservafool movement wants a sellout negro to attack the Black community in general, 'The Revs' or individual African Americans.

In September 2005 he suggested in a WingNut Daily article that the African American citizens who were stranded in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina were 'lazy', 'welfare-pampered' and 'immoral'    He also criticized then New Orleans mayor Ray Nagin for slamming President Bush for the glacially slow response to the crisis and then tried flip the script on Mayor Nagin and blame him for the Bush administrations piss poor response..

He has said that Islam was an 'evil religion', attacked Rev Al Sharpton and Rev  Jesse Jackson. Sr. and called for the resignation of Michael Steele as RNC chair.

And like all good conservanegroes he has his hate on for President Obama.     He has cosigned onto Glenn Beck's comment and expanded on it.

"Barack Obama hates white people, especially white men" and that "Barack Obama is Jeremiah Wright Jr. He is the NAACP and the Congressional Black Caucus!  He embodies the aspirations of every left-wing black group that wants to tear down this country and take power away from the "oppressive" white man. He's not an obvious race hustler like Al Sharpton or Jesse Jackson; but Obama is a smooth pathological liar—with a wicked heart"

Yeah, right.  Break out the double stuffed Oreos for this fool. 


But Peterson's most foul comment was thanking "God and white people" for slavery and describing slave ships as akin to "being on a crowded airplanes'.   This coming out of the mouth of a man who worked on the same Alabama plantation his ancestors did unpaid labor on.

Saturday Sellout-Ron Christie

You'll see this sellout popping up regularly on MSNBC or other media outlets zealously defending the Republican agenda, anytime the conservafools have put their feet in their mouths and got caught uttering another racial slur or his former bosses Dick Cheney or George W Bush needs defending.

He's Ron Christie,  former Bush administration worker bee, author and our Saturday Sellout.

Ron was born in Palo Alto, CA and worked for Senator George Allen (R-VA) and a senior advisor to John Kasich (R-OH) before join Dick Cheney's staff in 2001.    He joined Dubya's staff in 2002 and served as his special assistant until 2004.


Ron pops up as a GOP 'useful fool' whenever CNN or some non Fox media outlet needs a cookie chomping Negro to pimp conservative talking points on race and class issues..

 

And if you think Moni's being harsh, I'm not the only person in the Blacxkosphere who feels that way about Christie.

I started a TransGriot feature back in 2009 called the Saturday Sellout in which I planned to talk about the little known African-Americans who are actively working to impede the progress of other African Americans in gaining civil rights coverage or are apologists for conservatism.

Got sidetracked with other issues during 2010 and that fell by the wayside, but the need is still there to call out the people within our midst that exhibit Uncle Ruckus like behavior.

Condoleezza For The New Millenium Is Running For Congress

My first Saturday Sellout piece was about Angela McGlowan, the Faux News conservanegroid spokesmodel who is called on when they need cover to attack Black people in general or the First Lady.

I was wondering why I hadn't seen much of her lately on the GOP Propaganda Network and now I know why.

To top off a bad week for liberal-progressive folks, I read over at Jack and Jill Politics that Miss Right Wing Thang had some meetings up on Capitol Hill with the NRCC and various Repugnican congressmemebers.

That's right, Angela is coming to a congressional district near you. To be precise, she's going back home to the Magnolia State to run for Congress in Mississippi's 1st Congressional district.

The 1st Congressional District stretches across the northern-northeastern corner of the state. It was formerly held by now Sen. Roger Wicker (R-MS) from 1995-2007 until he was appointed by Gov. Haley Barbour (R) to fill the remainder of Trent Lott's senate term after he resigned on December 18, 2007.

Democrat Travis Childers now holds that seat, and the Repugs are going after him.

There are already two people running in the Republican primary, so Angela's going to see if she can parlay her Fox face time, Ole Miss education, her time working in Sen. Jon Ensign's (R-NV) office (yes, that John Ensign) and beauty pageant good looks into a Congressional seat.

Michael Steele and his GOP minders would probably love for McGlowan to win the primary and be the one challenging Childers in the fall so they can trumpet how 'diverse' they are.

If you're parroting the same bull white male Republicans have been spouting for decades, putting it in a pretty package won't change the fact I and other African Americans ain't voting for your Oreo cookie chomping behind.

We're a lot more politically savvy than you give us credit for, but it'll probably work on the folks she helped bamboozle every day on Faux News.

As for Angela, ugh. What a waste. Another one working for the Dark Side of the Political force.

Since I have relatives in Mississippi, I'll definitely be paying attention to how this plays out.

And oh yeah Angela, the Field Negro is still awaiting a response to the invitation to debate him you keep ducking.

Saturday Sellout-Harry Jackson

Ralph Reed and his friends started the Samaritan Project back in the 90's to recruit Black ministers for the Forces of Faith based Intolerance.

Meet one of their superstars, Bishop Harry Jackson, Jr.

He's the senior pastor at the sprawling Hope Christian Church in Lanham, MD and runs the Hi Impact Leadership Coalition, a front organization for Lou Sheldon's Traditional Values Coalition.

He claims he's a 'registered Democrat', but his actions belie that. He's also admitted that’s basically a ploy to give him credibility when attacking President Obama or pushing Republicans for public office.

"I voted for President Bush, but here in Maryland—a primarily Democratic state—in order to vote in the primaries that affect the election, you need to be a Democrat. That’s where I started. Over time, however, I’ve found that I have very little in common with the Democratic Party in terms of national moral values issues. Still, being able to say I’m a registered Democrat disarms many of the people who want to write me off as an “Oreo” or an “Uncle Tom."

No it doesn't, Harry. You're an Oreo-chomping Uncle Tom.

So when the Christobigots need an Oreo-cookie chomping sellout to parrot their talking points and pet issues to a predominately African-American audience, or be the point negro for an anti-gay referendum, you can count on Bigot Harry Jackson being their man.

He has a long history of Uncle Thomasin for the Religious Reich and a long paper trail as People For The American Way has documented.

He was the Reicher tool in the Prop 8 battle and other anti-gay referendums. He is also taking the lead role in fighting Washington DC's attempts to first recognize and now legalize marriage equality.

He has his hate on for President Obama and liberal-progressive Black leadership in general. He proudly boasts to predominately white evangelical audiences that I'm the “other Jackson.”

Harry, I have more respect for that 'other Jackson' than I ever will for you.

Saturday Sellout-Angela McGlowan

Throughout our tortured history here in North America, we have had people who will sell out the entire community for their own personal gain and comfort.

This new TransGriot feature will enlighten and expose you to these people and why we loathe them in the reality based African-American community so much.

Meet out first profile in our Saturday Sellout series, Angela McGlowan.

She a former beauty queen (Miss District of Columbia USA 2004) and lobbyist who appears on Faux News, and wrote a waste of trees called 'Bamboozled.'

I would submit that the only person that's been bamboozled is Angela.

Logic and reality challenged Black conservatives can dish out the criticism, but they can't take it. She's still running from a now two year old debate challenge from the Field Negro, who called her on her crap.

But back to our Saturday Sellout.

When it's a Black woman or Black people in general that need to be attacked by the conservafools, or Faux news wants to look more 'diverse', Angela is their go to chick.

Here's a sample of Angela's handiwork.



She not only made the NEWS One Top Five Fox News Uncle Toms list, she worked for now embattled senator John Ensign (R-NV).

She defended comedian Jackie Mason for uttering the 'schvartzer' slur during a comedy routine, compared the FLOTUS to a gangsta rapper, tried to back the ludicrous claims that the hate on Obama Rally had 400,000 people in attendance and sided with Don Imus when he dissed the Rutgers women's B-ball team.

Angela definitely deserves an Oreo cookie when it comes to kissing up to the 'white' wing. She's also a living example of Zora Neale Hurston's commentary that 'all my skinfolk ain't my kinfolk'.

Her lips are always moving when it comes to alleged liberal misdeeds, but when confronted with the numerous instances of conservative racism and misconduct and the racism of her Fox paymasters those lips suddenly go mute.

Um, can we call the Drop Squad and have her go in for an extended session ASAP?

New TransGriot Feature-Saturday Sellout

I've decided to start a new feature on TransGriot tomorrow called the Saturday Sellout.

I'll take the time to shine a spotlight on and highlight the people who are actively working to retard our progress as African descended people, who are collaborating with the agents of whiteness and intolerance and are getting paid for it.

While it won't be a weekly thing like the Shut Up Fool! Awards are, the Saturday Sellout will be designed to enlighten you about the peeps that may be our skinfolk, but damned sure ain't our kinfolk.

You need to know who they are, what they are up to and why they deserve the Oreo cookie they're going to get.

Many of our Uncle Thomas and Aunt Thomasinas aren't as blatanly open about it as the Supreme Court Injustice and Condoleezza Rice. Some of them try to slide below the radar before they get outed by conservatives praising their names or they show up on Faux News attacking progressive Blacks.

No more will they be allowed to do that. Time to tell it like it T-I-S is about these 'honorary white people' as Pat Buchanan called the man sitting on the Court.

You sell us out, I'm callin' your ass out.

And here's the cookie you so richly deserve for doing so.
