Y'all know I have no love for Rep. Steve King, the unrepentant racist who has represented Iowa's 4th Congressional District for 18 years. On Tuesday night he was bidding for a tenth term in Congress, but had a crowded Republican primary of four challengers to get through in order to put him in position to make that happen.
Happy to report that it didn't work out for him.
King lost to Iowa state senator Randy Feenstra, who will now carry the Republican banner into the general election this November against Democratic nominee JD Scholten.
It wasn't close either. Feenstra, who reps a ruby red state senate district, beat him 46%-38%, and did so by pointing out that he was ineffective because of all the controversy.
Feenstra, who is just as conservative, anti-TBLGQ and Trump loving as King, had the backing of local and national Republicans who feared that if King were on the ballot, it would put this conservative leaning northwestern Iowa congressional seat in jeopardy of being flipped to the Democrats.
Scholten narrowly missed knocking KKKing off in the 2018 cycle and launched another bid for this 4th Congressional District seat. .Scholten was unopposed in the Democratic primary.
King's white supremacist views and palling around with international white supremacists have caused him to lose support in the state and national Republican Party. He was trying to skate by in this election cycle with only $30,000 in his campaign accounts.
In addition,, his racist views have cost him House committee assignments. He was stripped of them after saying in a New York Times interview, White nationalist, white supremacist, Western civilization — how did that language become offensive?”
Yeah, he's that clueless.
Bye Steve. One GOP racist down, a bunch more to fire on November 3.

Stan Stanart Trafficking In Anti-Semitism In Re-Election Bid
I have loathed Harris County Clerk Stan Stanart, the Republican in charge of Harris County's voting apparatus for years. He has made it clear multiple times he is a partisan hack who camouflages it a veneer of 'good Republican' respectability in order to get crossover votes.
In addition to wasting $2.75 million of Harris County tax dollars on an automated voter check in system that is still not ready for election prime time, he has engaged in voter suppression on behalf of his party as he desperately tries (and fails) to keep Harris County from inexorably turning blue by restricting early voting hours from 8 AM-4 PM in the Lone Star State's largest and most populous county during the first week of it to 8 AM-4 PM instead of 7 AM-7 PM.
For this midterm it was 8 AM-4:30 PM.
He also pissed off the Houston TBLGQ community back in 2015. On the day the Obergefell v. Hodges SCOTUS ruling dropped, he stalled the issuance of marriage licenses for same sex couples for most of the day until he was forced to issue them by Harris County attorney Vince Ryan and several couples ready with attorneys on hand to handle their marriage business.
Stanart then later shadily changed the design of the Harris County marriage licenses to include a pic of a man and woman getting married.
The non-white community in Harris County despises him to the point that #FireStanStanart has been a hashtagged rallying cry for us every election cycle as we fume not only about the suppression efforts, but how slowly the election night returns come in from his office.
Stanart is finally up for reelection and being challenged by Diane Trautman, the Democratic nominee for his job. It has come to light that on his campaign website he is pimping an anti-Semitic attack on George Soros in order to stave off election defeat.
TransGriot Update: Stanart has pulled the disgusting ad from his website. Still needs to be bounced from his position and replaced by Diane Trautman

Make NO mistake, George Soros wants to control Harris County Elections and Stan Stanart is in his way. If Harris County, larger in population than 26 states, allows socialists like Soros to control our elections, then Texas is next. It is almost impossible for a Republican to win the White House without the 38 Electoral College votes from Texas.
Stan needs your help TODAY to fight the millions that Soros and his allies plan to pour into Harris County. There are many more Flag Waving, defenders of the Constitution then those who support Soros’ world views, but remember “All that is necessary for evil to succeed is that good men do nothing.”– Edmund Burke. This is disgusting, and Stanart needs to be punished at the polls for it. Fortunately we have a few days left in early voting and Election Day on November 6 to #FireStanStanart, and hire Diane Trautman in his place.

GA Lt. Governor Reveals Who He Really Represents- The NRA
For the last few political cycles since I've came back home to Texas in May 2010, the Republican TV commercial I see love to have the tagline of 'proven conservative leadership'.
To me and everyone else in reality based world who pays attention to politics, the only thing that 'proven conservative leadership' proves is how off the charts stupid it is.
The latest example of that comes from Atlanta. Delta Airlines has been headquartered in the ATL since 1941, and is the largest carrier at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. It is also the world's second largest airline and one of Atlanta and the state of Georgia's largest private employers, with over 33,000 workers in the state of Georgia.
So when Delta asked the state to cut it some slack on the Georgia jet fuel tax, the GOP controlled state legislature, in order to lend credibility to its 'business friendly' political mantra, began to oblige it by putting together legislation to restore a $50 million jet fuel sales tax exemption in a large tax reform package requested by Gov.Nathan Deal (R).
That pissed off Georgia Lt, Governor Casey Cagle (R) who is not only running to replace the term limited Gov. Nathan Deal (R), but has an A+ rating from the NRA he brags about. Cagle is also considered the favorite to get the GOP nomination
He tweeted to Delta in the wake of it, (and probably set himself up for an extortion charge) that he would kill any tax break that Delta benefits from unless the NRA discount was reinstated.
An NRA airline discount that has only been used 13 times in the last 5 years.
The GOP controlled Georgia Senate then followed through on Cagle's threat by cutting the jet fuel tax exemption from the tax cut bill Gov. Deal wanted before passing it.
Atlanta was in the running for Amazon's second headquarters before this happened, so it remains to be seen if they get it now. Meanwhile cities that praised Delta's move began to pitch Delta about moving their hub to their areas.
But Delta's probably not feeling the love for Cagle or his Georgia Republicans, and may do some political punishing of their own by bankrolling dome Democratic candidates in the state
I sure hope that's the result of this.
If this political posturing and attacking of Delta ends up getting Cagle the Republican nomination for governor, I hope Georgians remember that this man revealed that he cares more about the NRA than them, and it results in this Black woman, Stacey Abrams, being elected governor of Georgia on November 6.

While it as billed as a boon to all airlines, the primary beneficiary would be ATL based Delta.
The bill sailed through the Georgia House and was in the process of doing the same thing in the Georgia Senate when the February 14 Parkland, FL mass shooting happened and Delta, with United Airlines following suit two hours later, ended the discount National Rifle Association (NRA) members get. for using them to travel to the NRA's annual conference which will be held in Dallas (for now)..
Delta joined a growing list of companies that are ending partnerships with the NRA in the wake of the mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School that killed 17 people.

".@Delta, if Georgia politicians disagree with your stand against gun violence, we invite you to move your headquarters to New York," tweeted New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo.
Randall Woodfin, mayor of Birmingham, Ala., also told Delta his city was open for business."Hey @Delta . You know, in mathematics, Delta represents the change in something, e.g. 🔺HQ. Let’s chat. #BHM," Woodfin tweeted Feb. 27.Even Cagle had to admit after dissing the airline and killing its tax break Delta's importance to the state's economy, calling the dispute a 'family squabble'.

2017 Texas Lege Liberal To Conservative Analysis
Since we're less than 30 days from the start of our Texas Lege Special Oppression Session, time to start doing our homework and preparation for when we finally get to the Pink Dome and see the folks who are really on our side and who are a waste of our valuable time to talk to.
The Texas Tribune recently compiled a left to right political analysis of the Texas House and Texas Senate to find who are our most liberal and conservative legislators in both parties.
It's an analysis that will come in quite handy if you're planning to lobby under the Pink Dome this summer during the upcoming Special Oppression Session that starts July18.
It'll help you peeps who haven't been paying close attention to who these peeps are or where their politics fall. It also give some of you planning to run for the state House or Senate the ammo you need or confirmation enough of their political orientation to run against some of those Texas legislative and senate peeps in 2018.
So let's start with the Texas Senate.
In our 31 member senate that has a 20-11 GOP majority, the most liberal member was state Sen. Sylvia Garcia (D-Houston), and the most conservafool, oops conservative was Sen. Van Taylor (R-Plano)
The most conservative Democratic senator was drum roll please, Sen Eddie Lucio, Jr (DINO-Brownsville) and the least conservative Republican one was Kel Seliger (R-Amarillo)
Moving on to the Texas House
In our 150 member Texas House that has a 94-56 GOP Majority, Rep. Lina Ortega (D-El Paso is the most liberal House member, and the most conservative House member is a tie between Briscoe Cain (R-Deer Park), Jonathan Stickland (R-Bedford) and not surprising (Matt Rinaldi (R-Irving)
All three are members of the twelve member TexasOppression Freedom Caucus that caused so much trouble in the latter days of the 2017 regular session.
The most conservative Democratic House legislators was a tie between Rep Joe Pickett (D-El Paso) and Ryan Guillen (D-Rio Grande City) and the least conservative state rep was Rep. Sarah Davis (R-Houston)
Davis still pissed off a lot of people in her liberal leaning district with that affirmative SB 4 vote
And it also illustrates why the Republican caucus had some entertaining and contentious intra-party squabbles during that last session, because in effect, they are basically split into two groups, the Centrist Conservatives and the Tea Klux Klan-Movement Conservatives.
So hope this post was helpful in getting you to understand where the legislative and senate players stand ideologically in advance of July 18.

Dan Patrick's Trying To Force A Special Session To Oppress TX Trans People
The 85th Texas Legislative session is mercifully drawing to its sine die day close, but Lt. Governor Dan 'Potty Polizei' Patrick wants a special session to oppress trans people.
Last time I checked the Texas Constitution, only the governor had the power to call a special session, not you.
On Friday Speaker of the House Joe Straus, who made it clear at the beginning of the session that he nor the House is interested in his pet project SB6 bill to oppress trans people, called a rare press conference to announce that the House would waste no more time on his bathroom obsession.
“The House has compromised enough on this issue,” Speaker Straus said at a press conference, announcing that the watered-down version passed by the House was the most his body was willing to do. “It’s absurd that bathroom bills have taken on greater urgency than fixing our school finance system.”
Yes, it is absurd that Dan Patrick has been pushing this issues even that thousands of Texans, the business community and others have said we don't want North Carolina style HB 2 idiocy with a GOP Texas twang in our state oppressing our trans kids and trans Texans.
We thought we'd sent that message loud and clear with us showing up en masse at the Pink Dome back in March and April in opposition for the SB 6 and HB 2899 hearings, but yet Dan Patrick and his Texas GOP lackeys still want to mess with Texas trans people.
Maybe we need to send it again by calling and contacting the governor's office and urging him to resist following Dan Patrick's delusional lead and not waste our time and tax dollars by calling a special session.
The number to Gov. Greg Abbott's office is 512-463-2000
Patrick of course, flanked by Senate Republican oppressors, called a one man press conference ian hour later n response to the middle finger one that Straus had just conducted, and basically blamed Straus for the special session should it happen that he doesn't have the authority to call
And yeah, if it does happen, me, my trans fam and our allies will be headed to Austin for it, and once that 30 day special session is over, will begin working to #FlushDanPatrick and #FlushTheTexas GOP on November 6, 2018

SB6, The Texas Transgender Oppression Act Being Introduced Today
It has been said that insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.
The 85th Texas Legislative session starts January 10. Since Texas Republicans are all about repeating failed conservative policies and expecting a different result, why is it not a surprise to me that Texas Lt. Governor Dan Patrick wants to clone North Carolina's Hate Bill 2 and bring it to the Lone Star State?.
In a few hours that political bully Patrick will hide behind TX state Senator Lois Kolkhorst's skirts at a 1 PM CST press conference announcing that he is filing SB 6, theWomen's Privacy and Business Protection Act Transgender Oppression Act, an unjust copy of the odious HB 2 that cost North Carolina over $600 million in lost business and Gov Pat McCrory his job.
The Texas Association of Business is on record as firmly opposed to SB 6, and has estimated that if it passes, it will cost Texas businesses $8 billion dollars in lost revenue, numbers that Patrick and his like minded GOP legislative oppressors are cavalierly dismissing.
Here in Houston, a Flush SB6 press conference is being held at City Hall starting at 1 PM in which we will begin the fight to kill this unjust and immoral bill.
It's on Dan Patrick and Lois Kokhorst.
TransGriot Update: Not that he's introduced Hate Bill 6, Patrick is asking the public to call his office and gauge support for it. Call his office at 512-463-0001 and let him know that you oppose SB6 And nope, you don't have to be a Texas resident to do that.

The SNL Church Lady Humorously LambasTED My Canadian Senator
Y'all know I have no love for Sen. Damien Thorn, oops Ted Cruz, who I call on these electronic pages the junior senator from Alberta in addition to other sarcastic nicknames when I'm in the mood for calling out his perennial Shut Up Fool award winning behind. .
In the wake of his withdrawal last from the Republican presidential primary after being humiliaTED in the Indiana Republican primary by Donald Trump, NBC's Saturday Night Live brought back former SNL castmember Dana Carvey and his iconic Church Lady character to lampoon my junior senator.
Well isn't that special? Sure is, and I heartily approve of the SNL skit whacking the defeaTED transphobic Republican presidential candidate.
Here's the video of it if you missed it.

Ho Hum, Another Transphobic Gay White Male Advocating TBLG Separation
Another day, another not so shocking instance of a transphobic white gay male making the case to throw transpeople under the human rights bus.
On the eve of South Dakota governor Dennis Daugaard trying to make up his mind whether he is going to be a trans human rights hero or a trans human rights oppressor, another one of those 'We Want A Divorce From The T******s' pieces popped up this morning in USA Today.
This op-ed was written by Joseph R. Murray, who was a campaign official for Pat Buchanan and would be surprised if he was a member of either GOProud or the Log Cabin Republicans.
Let me get right to the heart of why I and other trans people are tired of white gay men clamoring for separation now that you have accomplished much of your gay and lesbian legislative and societal wish list by simultaneously using the trans community as legislative bargaining chips.
It was trans people, and specifically trans people of color like Marsha P. Johnson who threw the first bricks and shot glasses at Stonewall while you Fire Island gays were cowering in your closets. And far too often in my nearly two decades of human rights advocacy,it has been primarily white gay men who have been the biggest obstacles to trans human rights progress.
If you think I'm kidding about that, LGBT history has far too many instances of trans folks being thrown under the legislative bus in the name of 'incremental progress' and LG led groups breaking those promises to come back for us.
And who came up with the bathroom meme? Before the right wing started using it to attack us and human rights laws in general, it was Rep. Barney Frank with his 'penis in showers' arguments in the late 90's designed to stymie trans inclusion in ENDA.
Which brings me back to talking about this latest example and the repeated ignorant line that trans rights and gay rights are not the same. While there are some issues that are unique to the trans community. we also identify as gay, bi or lesbian in Trans World in terms of our sexual orientations.
And if our human rights as trans people aren't secured, your hard won human rights gains in Gay World are also less secure.
Now that we have the Republican Party and right wing evangelicals coming out of the closet in terms of working to openly attack our humanity and human rights, now is not the time for advocating kicking the trans community to the curb from a movement we helped build and far too much of our blood has been shed in order to make real the promises of democracy and human rights for trans Americans.
And we're tired of conservative white gay men showing their inner transphobe and making the fatally flawed assumption that your whiteness, your wallets and your eager willingness to sell out the rest of the LGBT community will protect you from the anti-LGBT discrimination that your party wishes to impose on all of us.

Clock Ticking On Unjust HB 1008 Signing By SD Governor
The unjust HB 1008 has been sent to South Dakota Governor Dennis Daugaard's (R) desk for his signature, and he has until March 1 to act on it.
It was passed on a 20-15 vote out of the GOP controlled Senate and 58-10 a month ago in the GOP controlled house, and is now awaiting action from Governor Daugaard.
He can either: (A) veto it, (B) be a bold GOP trans oppressor and sign the unjust bill into law, or (C) take the political coward's way out and let the bill become law without his signature.
I'm expecting option C to happen. I'm under no illusions that Republicans will do the right thing when it comes to the human rights of groups they don't like and wish to oppress.
The South Dakota trans community and their allies are hoping that their governor will do the right thing and veto the bill, and yesterday showed up in their state capitol of Pierre to demonstrate their opposition to the bill. Petitions have also popped up with over 80,000 signatures and urging him to not sign the unjust law
Even Wayne Maines, the father of trans teen Nicole Maines who fought a successful protracted legal battle over bathroom access for his trans daughter, urged the governor in an open letter to veto the unjust legislation
A group of trans students had a closed door meeting with Governor Daugaard yesterday, and the trans community's most well known Republican in Caitlyn Jenner took to Twitter to urge the governor to do the right thing and veto it.
We'll see what happens over the next few days in Pierre if South Dakota decides to continue down the destructive road at the behest of out of state hate groups and their GOP controlled legislature to legislate oppression of trans people.

“Transgender children across the nation go to school everyday afraid – a survey by the HRC Foundation found that three-quarters of transgender students feel unsafe in school settings. They sit in class and learn about powerful words, like courage, freedom and equality. Words that transgender people know well and dream will one day be true. Words that some of our leaders talk about but have forgotten how to use. If I could meet with you and your fellow governors, I would sit down with you and ask, ‘What are you afraid of?’ These kids just want to go to the bathroom, maybe visit with their friends to discuss their day, to laugh and just be kids. Why does it have to so hard? Their classmates do not care and they are not afraid. It is time to listen, watch and learn from them to understand that being transgender is not a big deal.”
We'll see what happens over the next few days in Pierre if South Dakota decides to continue down the destructive road at the behest of out of state hate groups and their GOP controlled legislature to legislate oppression of trans people.

40th Anniversary Of Nixon's Presidential Resignation
The Watergate saga came to an end when embattled President Richard Nixon, who was about to become the first president to be impeached and removed from office, resigned effective at noon EDT on August 9, 1974 rather than face the ignominy of being impeached and removed from office.
And yeah, as a teenaged political junkie, I watched the speech that Nixon gave to the nation on the night of August 8, 1974

Is The Texas Special Session Over Yet?
The Teapublican controlled Texas Legislature went into a special session moments after the sine die date on the regular 2013 session that is mercifully drawing to a close.
In addition to taking on the redistricting issue which will have a lawsuit filed against it when this session is over faster than you can say 'Rick Perry', Governor Goodhair (R) also threw a right-wing bone to the teabaggers and added the issue of abortion to the issues being worked on during the legislative special session,.
That's when the fun started. State Rep Jodie Laubenberg (Teabagger-Parker) obliged by being the House sponsor of SB 5, a bill that not only bans abortion after 20 weeks, it sets standards for existing clinics in Texas that will force 37 of the 42 clinics that currently operate in the state to close.
Rep Senfronia Thompson (D-Houston) then introduced an amendment to the draconian bill that would carve out an exception for it in the cases of rape and incest, and it was in the context of explaining why it wasn't needed that Laubenburg made the gaffe that is going to follow her to her grave and hopefully will lead to her being voted out of the legislature next November.
Rep Thompson's amendment was defeated but not before the dean of the Texas House engaged in some of her classic oratory excoriating the Republifools.
With the GOP having a 95-55 Texas House majority, there was no doubt this odious bill was going to pass and it did 97-33. But due to there being differing versions ofextremism in SB 5, it has to go back to the Senate for reconciliation, where Senate Dems are preparing to welcome it with a filibuster in the hopes of killing it when the special session ends at midnight and denying Perry the chance to scribble his signature on it an make it law.
Lt Gov David Dewhurst (R) who is rumored to wanting to run for Perry's job next year is dropping hints that if 'certain measures' don't pass, we'll have another tax money wasting and drama filled special session.
Is it November 6, 2014 yet?

EW Jackson Misspells Title Of His Book On The Cover
The Tea Klux Klan and their knee-grow auxiliaries just keep making it too easy for me to mock and ridicule them. We're going to do this in Final Jeopardy format (snicker, snicker)
E.W Jackson, the cookie chomping sellout running for lieutenant governor of Virginia has a misspelled word on the front cover of his waste of trees book. What is it?
And remember, your answer must be in the form of a question
Cue Final Jeopardy think music
Times up, TransGriot readers. What was your answer?
If you said, What is 'Commandments'? you are correct, TransGriot reader.
Hey 'Bishop' Jackson, if you can't spell, we damned sure don't need you making law. Besides, your ideas and political stances are too batturd off the chain for you to even become the lieutenant governor of Virginia, much less be allowed to cast the tiebreaking votes in a deadlocked Virginia senate.
And you know this fool just earned another Shut Up Fool Award nomination for this one..

Anti-Trans SB 1218 Passes Texas Senate
.
If you're wondering why I can't stand Republifools and why I've been posting Daniel Williams' Texas legislative updates since the 2013 session started, it's because Republicans continue to demonstrate a shamelessly inexhaustible ability and desire to oppress people
Knowing that the clock is ticking toward the end of the regular session of the 83rd Texas Legislature, the Republifools have all of a sudden gotten busy trying to pass their anti-TBLG hate legislation before they hit the May 21 deadline dates for when those bills can't be considered by the other chambers.
The Dallas Voice reports that the Texas Senate passed SB 1218 yesterday that takes dead aim at the Texas trans community. One of the documents you can currently can use to get a marriage license in the Lone Star State is an affidavit of sex change.
Well, no thanks to Texas state Sen. Donna Campbell (R-New Braunfels) and her co-sponsor Sen Jane Nelson (R-Flower Mound) our ability to marry an opposite sex partner in this state may have just taken a hit. She sponsored SB 1218, which prohibits anyone from obtaining a marriage license with a document that lacks a photo.
And what document that is on the approved list of those you can use to get a marriage license in Texas fits that criteria? If you said the affidavit of sex change, go to the head of the class. Back in the 2011 session Sen Tommy Williams (R-The Woodlands) sponsored SB 723, which only went after the affidavit of sex change and we got the unjust bill killed.
This time the conservafools were sneakier about how they went about their transphobic legislative oppression. Sen. Campbell claims that her intent was to make people show photo ID before they can get a marriage license, but we heard that same bull feces laden excuse when they passed their voter suppression act in 2011 that got spiked by the DOJ.
This is another straight up unconstitutional attack on the ability of Texas transpeople to get married to the opposite gender, and yep, Texas has one of those odious anti-same gender marriage amendments contaminating its constitution.
All is not lost Texas trans folks. The bill has to pass the House Judiciary and Civil Jurisprudence Committee and make it on the House calendar before May 21. Daniel Williams and Equality Texas are watching what's going on in addition to working to slow it down so it misses that deadline and gets killed for the session.
I'll be keeping an eye on this unjust bill and letting you know if it's time Texas trans community for us to be agents of our own liberation again.
And you peeps that live in Sen Campbell's and Sen Nelson's districts can thank them for their transphobia by voting them out of office.

Stop Hatin' On Dr. Susan Rice, Sen. John McCain
I've noted this racist pattern conservafools have of hatin' on African-American Obama Administration senior officials.
First it was Van Jones and Desiree Rogers, then you tried to attack US Attorney General Eric Holder for doing his damned job and putting a halt to your voter suppression bull feces, and now you fools are coming after UN Ambassador Dr. Susan E. Rice.
By the way, happy birthday Dr Rice! She was born in Washington DC on this date in 1964.
Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) has been the point conservafool on this political smearing attack of Dr. Rice along with Sen Lindsey Graham (R-SC) whose pink elephant behind needs to come out of the closet.
Oops, did I say that?
Back to riffing on Sen John McCain and his loud and wrong attacks on Ambassador Rice, who is a potential nominee to replace Secretary of State Hillary Clinton when she steps down.
I know John McCain, the man who chose intellectually challenged Sarah Palin to be his vice presidential running mate.didn't just part his lips to say that he would do everything in his power to stop that nomination if it happened, and in addition to that had the unmitigated gall to call her 'not very bright'
Senator McCain is in no position to judge who is 'not very bright', since he graduated 894th out of 898 people in his Naval Academy class.
Dr Rice on the other hand was valedictorian of her HS class, a Phi Beta Kappa history student at Stanford and a Rhodes Scholar.
'Not very bright'? Yeah, right. I have three words for you Senator McCain. Take it away, Mr. T.
And stop hatin' on Dr. Susan Rice. She'll be a far better Secretary of State that the other non-related Republican Rice you supported.

The Putrid 2012 Texas GOP Platform
Leave it to the Texas Republican Party, those paragons of 'proven conservative leadership' to author a 2012 platform that makes its previous odious ones look 'librul' in comparison.
The planks in the 2012 document contain calls to repeal the 1965 Voting Rights Act, oppose the Employment and Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA) and the usual hate on the gays language while noting that every Lone Star State Republifool is obligated to carry out this platform.
On the Voting Rights Act:
On their opposition to ENDA:
The Hate the Gays plank:
But the one that caught my attention as the child and godchild of teachers is this eye popping one opposing the teaching of critical thinking skills.
Oops, can't have those kids learning how to think for themselves and becoming Democrats or (gasp) 'libruls'. That would stymie our conservaefforts to modify their behavior and turn them into good little gun-toting faith-based creationism believing gay baiting conservafools.
And some of you peeps on the left ignorantly believe there's no difference between Democrats and Republicans. Really? Wake the frack up.

On the Voting Rights Act:
We urge that the Voter Rights Act of 1965 codified and updated in 1973 be repealed and not reauthorized.
On their opposition to ENDA:
We oppose this act through which the federal government would coerce religious business owners and employees to violate their own beliefs and principles by affirming what they consider to be sinful and sexually immoral behavior.
The Hate the Gays plank:
We affirm that the practice of homosexuality tears at the fabric of society and contributes to the breakdown of the family unit. Homosexual behavior is contrary to the fundamental, unchanging truths that have been ordained by God, recognized by our country’s founders, and shared by the majority of Texans. Homosexuality must not be presented as an acceptable “alternative” lifestyle, in public policy, nor should “family” be redefined to include homosexual “couples.” We believe there should be no granting of special legal entitlements or creation of special status for homosexual behavior, regardless of state of origin. Additionally, we oppose any criminal or civil penalties against those who oppose homosexuality out of faith, conviction or belief in traditional values.
But the one that caught my attention as the child and godchild of teachers is this eye popping one opposing the teaching of critical thinking skills.
We oppose the teaching of Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) (values clarification), critical thinking skills and similar programs that are simply a relabeling of Outcome-Based Education (OBE) (mastery learning) which focus on behavior modification and have the purpose of challenging the student’s fixed beliefs and undermining parental authority.

Big Political Day Inside I-495
In a few minutes, the Supreme (Conservafool leaning) Court will let the nation know what they have kept a secret for three months- how they ruled on the Affordable Care Act..
May wish to check SCOTUSblog.com for the breakdown on what is sure to be another 5-4 ruling.
Meanwhile, across the street from the Supreme Court building there will be more drama at the Capitol building in the Republifool controlled US House as they move to vote around 3:30 EDT to cite Attorney General Eric Holder for contempt of Congress over the faux Fast and Furious 'scandal'..
A pissed off Congressional Black Caucus is threatening to walk out of the chamber to protest the partisan vote that is coming up and word is that the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, the Congressional Asian Pacific Caucus, and The Congressional Progressive Caucus are also going to walk prior to the partisan travesty of a vote.
Will keep y'all posted about the developments inside Hollywood for Ugly People when they happen.

Republicans Showing Their True KKKolors At CPAC
It's CPAC Weekend,.and the conservafools are suffering from an acute case of ODS, AKA Obama Derangement Syndrome. They are also showing their true racist colors as well in trying to convince the country and themselves that conservatism is superior to liberalism. Um, no it isn't. I'll whack on conservatism later, but I wanted to point to another reason why I will never vote for a Republifool.
There was a CPAC panel discussion yesterday entitled 'The Failure of Multiculturalism: How the Pursuit of Diversity is Weakening the American Identity ' in which white
Panelist Vandervoort read a rambling speech by Islamophobe Serge Trifkovic (who wasn't able to attend CPAC) that claimed the “cult of non-white, non-male, non-heterosexual victimhood” and “multiculturalist indoctrination” is ruining the West. “The native Western majorities will melt away,” and concluded, “Europeans and our trans-Atlantic cousins are literally endangered species. The facilitators of our destruction must be neutralized if we are to survive.”
Rosalie Porter attacked the Civil Rights Act and Voting Rights Acts for giving too much political influence to minorities.
Oh really Rosalie? I like as an American citizen of African descent being able to vote in every election I've been eligible to participate in since 1980, electing people who share my ethnic heritage to represent my interests in Washington DC, Austin, the Harris County Courthouse, Houston City Hall and the HISD Board of Trustees.
Brimelow has a bigoted track record in stating that the Republican Party should only concentrate on white voters. During this panel discussion he continued the hatefest by claiming that multiculturalism and bilingualism were “diseases” that could wreck American society as they empower minorities and suppress traditional American (read: white) groups.
He also took a swipe at Canada by asserting the officially bilingual nation was a good example of how bilingualism becomes a tool of elites to help minorities (Quebecers) at the expense of the majority, and went on to call multiculturalism and bilingualism a “ferocious attack on the working class.”
Rep. King, who is trying to get a bill passed that would make English the official language of the US, admitted he read Brimelow's book and gushed that he “eloquently wrote about the balkanization of America.” Yeah, right. All of y'all just earned nominations for next week's Shut Up Fool Awards and I thank y'all in advance for flapping your gums so I and other persons of color know who my enemies are.
And you wonder why African-Americans and increasing numbers of Latinos don't vote for any candidate with an 'R" behind their name.
