Barbecuing Flame Monroe's Ignorant Radio Interview

Image result for Flame Monroe TBC
I met Flame Monroe briefly when he lived in Houston for a hot minute.  We ironically had the same person, Marie Asmar, as our electrologist.   Flame moved back to Chicago and I basically was living my Air Marshal life that morphed into 20 plus years of trailblazing activism on behalf of the trans community.

So when I began to get asked what were my thoughts about Flame Monroe's massively problematic The Breakfast Club  interview, I was still in the midst of traveling between San Francisco and Austin and prepping for the Equality Texas gala.

So I didn't get to see and hear the video of it until last night, and ugh. what a cluster.   Glad I did so on an empty stomach.

Note to Flame and all you drag queens.   Since you and other drag queens have made it abundantly clear you are female impersonators or men, do all us trans women a favor. Keep your mouths shut about anything relating to trans women when a microphone is in your face or a TV camera is rolling.

We already have a major problem with cis people conflating trans women and drag queens, which you made worse with the 30 minutes of breathtaking ignorance you spewed the other day.

Far too often when you drag queens open your mouths to talk about trans folks, it turns out to be as in this TBC interview, massively ignorant and wrong.

Leave the media discussions about trans people to trans people trained to handle it or who have the lived experience to do so.  We trans folks are the experts in talking about our trans lives, not some ignorant drag queen.

Let me say this louder for you peeps on The Breakfast Club and 'errbody' else who engages in either innocently or willfully conflating drag queens with trans women.

Trans women and drag queens are not the same.

The fact that this cluster of a 30 minute interview happened on The Breakfast Club, which already has raised the ire of the Black trans community with its glaring transphobia problem, and willful anti-trans ignorance being spewed on its airwaves, made this interview all the more egregious and maddening to those of us in Black Trans World who work hard at educating the public on trans issues.

The fact it happened during Trans Awareness Week also adds to the pissivity I and other trans women feel about this hot drag queen mess of an interview.

And I have a major problem with anyone in Black Trans or SGL World who thinks this is 'no big deal'.   This is the kind of ignorant speech you cis peeps cosign that leads to Black trans people getting disrespected, assaulted and killed.

But let me turn my focus on Flame Monroe's azz.

Image result for flame monroe
No Boo Boo Kitty, demanding respect for our humanity, human rights and our lives and fighting back against anti-trans oppression is NOT 'forcing your lifestyle on someone else'

Miss me with that bullshyt.   Also miss me with that problematic 'lifestyle' word as well.   Trans people live trans lives, not a 'lifestyle'.

If you think otherwise, question for you.   When did you choose to live a male lifestyle?

And yes Flame, trans women are not only women, trans men are men.  If you actually hit Google every now and then, you would be more aware of that point. You would also be aware of the increasing body of scientific research that comes down on the side of trans people being authentic parts of the diverse mosaic of human life.

You would also be aware that being born with a penis or a vagina doesn't lock step determine whether you are male or female.   Your brain does.   Gender identity is between your ears, not your legs

Finally, words matter, especially when it comes to media opportunities for a marginalized group.

You set this community's education efforts backwards with this interview, and played right into the transphobic ignorance that The Breakfast Club likes to push on their show.

You may dismiss that fact or even this post as something you don't care about, but I do care about the trans community, and have given 21 years (and counting) of my life to fighting for its human rights.

Your words do matter to the trans folks and trans kids who will be harmed by the cisfolks repeating them, and claiming you're 'keeping it real'.

You're 'keeping it real' alright.  Real ignorant.

Your words also matter to our enemies who will take what you said in that massive fail of a Breakfast Club interview and weaponize it for use against us.

TransGriot Update: Heard this post and my FOX26 interview plucked Marcus' nerves.  So much for that tough talk the #HeSheDummy was spouting in that studio.

Not Feeling Your Transphobia, Black Gay Men

Image may contain: 1 person, meme and text
As if we didn't have enough transphobia coming from the federal government, the TERF's, evilgelicals,  elements of the white gay and lesbian community, and elements of the Black community, we also have Black gay men coming out of the closet with their toxic transphobia.

A few years ago I attended a drag show one steamy Saturday night in the Montrose gayborhood at a club now called Barcode.  I was bored, didn't see anyone I knew, and decided to head home and walk the few blocks back toward Westheimer Rd to the nearest bus stop and start the trip back home.

I cut through the shared parking lot for JR's and the then open South Beach clubs in order to shorten the walk to Westheimer Rd.    While doing so I passed an interracial white and Black gay man who made the loud and wrong assumption I was a sex worker, with the Black one saying it loud enough for me to hear it.

I stopped, glared at both of them, read them for good measure and cussed them out one more time before I flipped them the finger before resuming my journey back to my bus stop.

In my 21 years of activism, I have had many Black gay men in my corner like Ashton Woods, Brandon Mack, Venton Hill-Jones, and Harrison Homer Guy just to name a few.  These men have unapologetically had my back and been major supporters in what I do activism wise.

These righteous gay Black men have also called their gay brothers out when they tried to aim transphobic shade or outright disrespect toward me and my trans sisters, and I love and appreciate them for defending our honor.

Unfortunately, it seems that  righteous Black gay male accomplices are the exception lately and not the rule.  We have far too many of them letting their transphobic flag fly on social media, and Black trans women are beyond sick and tired of it.

Craig Brooks has gotten widespread acclaim for calmly handling a workplace racism situation in which he was called the n-word despite being majorly pissed off about it.

But Brooks couldn't be bothered to extend the same respect he demanded for himself when it came to Black  trans women.   It was discovered that his social media feed was a cesspool of transphobic hate.

And he's not the only one.   Far too often we see Black gay men making derogatory comments about trans women as the people in their feeds like and share them.

Even famous Black gay men like RuPaul have made repeated transphobic comments, and it's one of the major reasons why I refuse to support Drag Race.

I have to ask the question why some of you Black gay males engage in this behavior.  You jealous?  You mad and ashamed because you don't live unapologetically in your truth the way Black trans women do?   You trying to curry favor with the evilgelicals?   You just want to bully trans women?

Let a trans sister know what the reason is so she can avoid your treacherous azz.

You will get read for filth by us in the 2K19 if you're caught engaging in that nekulturny behavior because I will say it again, Black trans women are sick and tired of your crap. and being disrespected by people who are supposed to be our ride or die accomplices.

You throwing 'that's a man' shade at us from you spot in the SGL community will no longer be tolerated.  If you're mad because I called your azzes out on this problematic behavior, and are claiming you'll no longer be allies to the trans community because I did so, then sashay away because you were never trans allies to begin with.

That rainbow toxic transphobia contributes to the climate in the Black community that gets Black trans women killed.   You Black gay males who gleefully engaging in spreading that transphobia in our SGL community need to cease and desist with that.

Edward Thomas' Attorney Disrespects Muhlaysia Booker

Image may contain: 1 person, smiling
Our crappy pride month continues with more info coming out of Dallas concerning the legal fallout from the videotaped April 12 assault on Muhlaysia Booker that landed Edward Thomas in the Dallas County Jail.

Thomas is being defended by attorney Andrew W. Wilkerson, who is big mad that his client is facing twenty years in a TDC facility for the videotaped hate assault on our departed sister.

This is the transphobic shyt he had to say on his Facebook page about it:

I’ll say this again, our condolences to the family of Pierre Booker. He was a human being, he was a person that was loved dearly by his family. He did not deserve to die. No one deserves to die. But our client had absolutely nothing to do with his death.

But this is ridiculous. The State is offering Edward Thomas twenty years for that fight in back Royal Crest Apartments a couple months ago. The State is offering twenty years for a fist fight, between two men, with no weaponsinvolved. Let that sink in. There was no knife, no gun, no brass knuckles, and nothing was picked up off the ground and used during the physical altercation. Furthermore, this was no hate crime, period. People who were there know that this all arose from an altercation after Pierre Booker rear ended Thomas’s friends vehicle and refused to exchange insurance information or rectify the situation in anyway. Are you surprised that the news didn’t tell you these details?? Don’t be😑.

No disrespect to anyone’s life style at all. It’s your decision. But when the law recognizes gender it’s based off one’s anatomy or biological make up if you will. So when dealing with the law you must realize that ones sexual preference/orientation has no bearing on his or her gender, a persons gender is based on his/her biological hardware or, plainly said, if a person has a penis, the law views him as a male and if a person has a vagina the law views her as a female. Ridiculously obvious to say, I know, but some of you facebookers seem to have the law a tad bit confused.

So, now that we’ve cleared that up, to offer a man twenty years for a fist fight with another man is unconscionable and shows no regard for his life or his future. Say what you want, but that ain’t justice, not even close. A man can literally wave a gun in another person’s face and not receive twenty years in prison, come on now. Call a spade a spade, this is beyond ridiculous

First off,  Miss Wilkerson, what you said is this jacked up post is not only loud and wrong, but your ignorant and scientifically illiterate rhetoric is why we have a major problem in Black America with anti-trans violence being visited upon trans individuals in Texas and elsewhere in the United States.

It was also straight up disrespectful to the memory of Ms Booker, her family, and all the people in the Dallas area who loved her.

Gender is between your ears, not your legs, and that is the overwhelming consensus of the scientific community and folks who have been doing the research for decades when it comes to transsexuality and gender identity.

Let me repeat it for you one more time so your willfully clueless azz gets it.  The genitalia between your legs is not the sole determinant of your gender identity.

Your client in a fit of transphobic and toxic Black masculinity, stuck his nose in somebody else's business and beat down a trans woman for $200.   He also by doing so, triggered the series of events that resulted in Muhlaysia Booker's death a month later.

And can you accurately account for your client's whereabouts after he was released from the Dallas County Jail on bail days before Ms Booker was killed?

When your client beat a trans woman unconscious on that April 12 day to the point that several cis women had to step in and physically remove her from your client's flying fists as he uttered homophobic slurs, yeah Miss Attorney Thang, that's not a mere fight.   That's a hate crime that your waste of DNA client deserves jail time for.

One other thing.   Trans people live lives, not a lifestyle.  So miss me with that 'no disrespect' line because your entire comment was dripping with it and transphobic ignorance.   Calling a trans woman a man is the height of disrespect.

You need Jesus and some serious education about trans issues.  .You are also a disgrace to the proud tradition of attorneys from the Thurgood Marshall School of Law.

Now what's the phone number and the URL for the State Bar of Texas?

Caitlyn, Do You FINALLY Have A Clue The GOP Hates Us?

Image result for Caitlyn Jenner
One of the ongoing things that I have found laughable ever since she came out is Caitlyn Jenner's insistence that she can change the Republican Party's hostile views when it comes to transgender people.

More power to her for cluelessly taking on that quixotic political mission despite an avalanche of evidence and anti-trans legislation coming out of GOP controlled legislatures across the country that the Republican Party and the conservafool movement hates trans people.

But what will it take for Caitlyn to finally get to the epiphany that many reality based trans people in our community hit a long time ago that the GOP Hates Trans Me?

Even our trans kids are quite aware of this point that seems to escape Miss Right Wing Thing.

Image result for caitlyn jenner
News flash, Caitlyn.  The party that you are loyal to hates your trans guts and has zero respect for you.  They are not listening to you, they are listening the Family Research Council and other anti-trans hate groups in the party.  Trump is listening to  Rep. Vicky Hartzler (R-MO) and VP Mike Pence when it comes to trans policy, not you.

Was Trump's anti-trans service tweet the final straw for her clueless behind?   We'll see.

Image result for caitlyn jenner
Or is she going to continue to be Donna Quixote charging at that GOP windmill, getting knocked off her horse time and time again and insisting that she can change a party that has anti-trans hatred embedded in its party platform?

You are not going to be able in a time in which the Republican Party and conservative movement is heavily invested in demonizing trans people for fun and their political gain change their attitudes toward transgender Americans.

You can continue on that futile path while the rest of us do what we've always done in terms of resisting the anti-trans evil coming from the Republican Party, and ensuring that the Democratic Party continues to see the wisdom of fighting for the humanity and human rights of trans people like the previous POTUS did that you hated on.

Kneegrow TERF's, You're Getting Called Out If You Step To Me

The TERF's have been colluding with Republican politicians and the conservafool movement to take their disco era hatred of trans women to another level.   We saw that in Texas during the SB 6 senate hearing in March when a white TERF was called as a 'expert' witness to testify in FAVOR of passing that unjust bill.

One of the other tactics the TERF's overwhelmingly white ranks have borrowed is to get kneegrow sellouts to regurgitate the same TERF toro poo poo they have been spouting since 1972 in order to deflect from the fact the TERF ranks are overwhelmingly comprised of racist white women.

What is driving this post is that last night I was part of a discussion in which a Black female professor wanted to learn more about the trans community, and started a thread on her Facebook page to facilitate an informative conversation

Image result for dora milaje black panther movie.
As you probably guessed, right on cue, a TERF popped up in the middle of this thread.   She made the mistake of not checking Google before she stepped to me, and I went Wakandan on her azz.

But hear me on these salient points.  No trans feminine person, myself included is saying we are EXACTLY the same as a cis woman. We have no problem acknowledging there are some differences.

But we do have far more in common than we do differences, and that point needs to be acknowledged as well.   Trans women face sexism and misogyny. Trans women (and trans men) get sexually assaulted.  And as more trans feminine kids grow up as the girls and women they are, that commonality will become even more pronounced.

Image result for Serena WilliamBlack trans women face the same anti-Blackness fueled attacks on our femininity as Black cis women do multiplied by anti-trans hatred.  We Black trans women have to fight tooth and nail to have healthy self esteem and pride in ourselves in a world that's hostile to just just like our cis counterparts.

And oh yeah, have you noticed that every successful Black woman over 5'7" or who doesn't perform femininity in an approved way gets 'that's a man' gender policing shade thrown at them?

Serena Williams ring a bell for you?  Former First Lady Michelle Obama?

What we trans women have a serious problem with is cis women who repeatedly deny, despite all the overwhelming evidence to the contrary, that trans women exist, we didn't just pop up in the second half of the 20th century, and trans women are women.

Our existence, our humanity and our human rights are not up for debate or discussion by anyone, especially TERF's.

What part of that statement do you not understand or are willfully ignoring?

Image result for No TERF's

We have a serious problem with TERF's who eagerly work in many cases to demonize and attack us, attack trans kids and their parents, and gleefully work with Republican legislators and conservative anti-LGBTQ groups to roll back our human rights..

And yes, Black trans women have a serious problem with the overt and covert racism in TERF ranks.

Janice Raymond was responsible back in 1981 for getting Medicare and Medicaid to stop paying for SRS, with insurance companies following suit with their trans exclusionary procedures bans three years later. How many low income trans people did that hateful action affect?

TERF's have been hating on trans women to a disco beat since 1972. Are you TERF's mad because unlike the early 70's, you can no longer just spew your anti-trans garbage without instant and immediate pushback from trans people and our allies?

Yeah, y'all mad.

News flash to you TERF ignorati.  We in TransWorld are beyond sick and tired of your anti-trans hatred.

I'm damned sure not going to tolerate the same five decade old anti-trans lies told by white TERF's coming out of the mouths of misguided Black cis women.

That will be the case whether your name is Chimamanda Adichie, Stacy Patton or some random kneegroid TERF hiding behind a pseudonym making anti-trans comments on Facebook and elsewhere on social media while speciously claiming they are her 'opinion'.

You wannabe kneegrow TERF's have been warned. Your facts free faux faith-based 'opinions' and you will get called out with the quickness.  You step to me with TERF bull feces, I will gleefully call it and your Oreo cookie flavored behind out.

So
choose wisely this day which path you will follow and who you will align yourselves with..

Will you go down the enlightened path of building sisterhood with Black trans women so that together we can tackle and solve the issues that ail all Black women and by extension Black America?

Or will you allow your hatred, anger and unfounded fear of trans women lead you down the dark path of TERFism and pariah status with the Black community for colluding with the same GOP racists that oppress our people?

The Black trans community and your cis sisters who get it that trans women are women are awaiting your answer.

Sit Your Azz Down, Caitlyn

Image result
After saying during the 2016 campaign that Donald Trump would be 'good on women's issues', expressed the sentiment that she would like to be the trans ambassador for Ted Cruz as he attacked trans people on the GOP presidential primary campaign trail, slammed Hillary Clinton as 'a political hack' and claimed 'the country would be over' if she won, now Caitlyn Jenner is shocked, shocked that after one month of Dear Cheeto Leader's disastrous presidency and supporting him that he would attack trans kids.

Anyone who was paying attention during that campaign and had a brain knew that if we wanted trans rights progress to stay on an upward trajectory, we needed Hillary Clinton to be elected to succeed President Barack Obama on November 8.

Our humanity and human rights as trans people were on the 2016 presidential ballot, and far too many of you peeps were caught up in your 'I hate Hillary' fee fees to see that.   Some of you in Trans World were more concerned about your wallets and loyalty to the Republican Party than thinking about what candidate was best for our community.

Now you're shocked that the Obama administration's DOE/ DOJ trans guidance letter is being revoked by a so-called POTUS with an 'R" behind his name, your clueless behind is calling it a 'disaster' and you're urging Trump to 'call you'

Really?   Now your azz is shaking off the fog of white privilege and seeing what I and a long list of trans folks were trying to tell you in the runup to November 8 that the Republican Party you're a member of is no friend of the trans community, and is chock full of anti-trans legislative bullies and transphobes

Neither is this so-called POTUS a friend of our community, and he proved it Wednesday.  You and every trans person who voted for Trump is a sellout to trans kind and by doing so, you greased the skids for the oppression of our trans kids and our community

Miss Right Wing Thang, you're going to have as much success getting that phone call back from the Trump White House chock full of trans oppressors to talk about trans issues as Jackie Evancho did,

So sit your azz down Caitlyn and have several rows of seats.    .

Just more evidence that co-signs that the post I wrote in December 2015 is still valid.

Landis Smithers, This Is What Golden Globes Trans Beauty Looks Like

Image may contain: 1 person, standing and outdoor
I'm more than a little sick of people letting their inner transphobic bigot out and aiming transmisogynist comments at cis women for whatever jacked up reason.

Far too often they get aimed at Black women in positions of power like Serena Williams and First Lady Michelle Obama.   It's even more odious and heightens my pissivity about it when the trans misogynist comments come from someone who is a member of the TBLGQ community

Last night, Landis Smithers the VP of Grindr, took to Twitter to make a comment about actress Kristen Wiig's new short hairstyle and tweeted this:

Well Landis, guess your ignorant behind wasn't aware of it last night, but there were actual trans feminine beauties attending the Golden Globe Awards last night and slaying the red carpet in actresses Trace Lysette and Rain Valdez

Rain's Golden Globes red carpet pic is gracing the top of this post, and here's Trace's red carpet slayage:

Image may contain: 2 people, people standing

Landis, this is why I have a major problem with your tweet.   At a time when the Republican Party, the conservative movement, right wing 'christians' , my home state of Texas and several others are openly attacking the humanity and human rights of trans people,  I'm beyond sick and tired of white gay men like you thinking that you can disparage trans women or aim trans misogynistic and shady comments at cisgender ones and arrogantly think you won't get called out on it by us.

Trans women are women, even if your behind doesn't get that simple point.  Some of us when we transition hit the genetic lottery and turned out gorgeous.  The long stylish line of trans models going back to the 60's drives that point home.

Image result for Angelica Ross red carpet
There's also an ever growing list of trans actresses in Hollywood in addition to Rain and Trace like Alexandra Billings, Angelica Ross, Jen Richards, Laverne Cox, Mya Taylor, Amiyah Scott, Zackary Drucker and Jamie Clayton just to name a few of them who will be slaying red carpets and hopefully getting awards for their trailblazing work in the near future.

I also can't forget Aleshia Brevard, who was blazing the Hollywood trail that many of these women are following

And FYI  Landis, short hair doesn't make a woman less feminine.  Ask Toni Braxton, Halle Berry, Lupita Nyong'o and countless others who look fab with short hair and have walked red carpets while doing so

Trace and Rain are just two examples of the diverse beauty of trans women that exist not only in Hollywood, but across this country and the world.

And we trans women will continue being our fab selves slaying runways, red carpets, beauty pageants and just being our amazing selves in whatever setting we find ourselves in.

Kim Burrell And Homophobic Houston Black Church Folk, Leave TBLGQ Hatred Behind In 2016

Image result
Needed to take a few days to compose my thoughts about Kim Burrell serving Satan and letting loose that hateful anti-gay rant she tried to pass off as a sermon recently.

And I'm sad to say that Burrell is from my hometown.    But what I do need to say about it is something that has been on my mind since the HERO repeal.

I'm tired of so called kneegrow little c  'christians' peddling this anti-trans and anti-gay hatred they copied from white fundamentalists that is causing dissension and discord in our community.

It is also this faux faith based ignorance that led you Houston kneegrow church folk to allow yourselves in 2015 to be hoodwinked and bamboozled into voting against a human rights ordinance in HERO that protected you at the behest of your ministers who were puppets for white fundies and the Texas and Harris County Republican Party..

Kim Burrell ain't the only person in the Houston city limits using their pulpit to preach anti-gay hate. She just got caught doing so and is being deservedly called out for it.   There are also Black masculine ministers who do so every Sunday who need to be called on the carpet for it as well

This also isn't just a H-town problem, it's one I'm sadly seeing being repeated in sellout Black churches across the country and across the African Diaspora.   But I'm directing my anger about it at my H-town homies and homettes first.

At a time in which we have an anti-Black presidential administration about to take over the White House on January 20, the Black trans, bi, SGL and straight communities do not need this crap happening right now.   We need to be more united than ever before.

Image result for Black church
You know you're a bunch of shady hypocrites for doing so because you know damned well you couldn't get through a Sunday service without your gay choir director or the trans women singing in the church choir.  Neither would you look presentable for the cameras Ms. Burrell without that army of TBLGQ folks who style your hair, do your nails and makeup and coordinate your clothing.

We also know for a fact that some of the people we lost in the Black community to AIDS also happened to be gospel singers like yourself.

If you faux faith based kneegrow 'christians' feel the need in 2017 to wrap your homophobic and transphobic bigotry in Scripture, don't be surprised when I and other Black folks inside and outside our community swiftly call your faux faith based behinds out on you violation of the Ten Commandments and other various books of the Bible you hypocritically profess to believe in.

Image result for Baptist Ministers association of Houston and Vicinity
I'm looking at you Rev. Max Miller and the Baptist Ministers Assn of Houston and Vicinity.   Don't think Moni, Black TBLGQ Houston or our allies forgot about all that anti-trans hate y'all pimped from your pulpits on behalf of the Harris County GOP and white fundamentalists like Dave Welch who threw y'all sellout butts under the bus when Election Day 2015 passed and HERO got repealed.

That's why TBLGQ hatred aimed at Black TBLGQ folks by Black so called Christians needs to stay behind in 2016 and will not be tolerated or excused by those of us in Black TBLGQ world in the 2K17.

If You Voted Third Party, You Voted For Trump.

Image result for Trump wins
I'm not in the mood to hear today or for the next four years any weak justifications from people who voted third party yesterday knowing that the third party votes they cast was a vote for Trump.

I don't want to hear the bull feces laden excuses that 'she was a terrible candidate', 'the DNC failed', 'that's what they get for screwing Bernie'  or whatever lie du jour you predominately white peeps who voted third party are telling yourselves right now to attempt to justify to me and other non-white Americans you screwed with your vote for the unqualified white man who is your future POTUS.

Save all your excuses.  I heard them back in 2000.    Let's crunch the numbers shall we?/
Thanks to Lilly Andersen for compiling them and posting them on her FB page.

*To the 5% of people in Arizona who voted third party- if you had voted for Hillary, that’s 11 electoral votes that would have gone to her.
*To the 3% of people in Florida who voted third party- if you had voted for Hillary, that’s 29 electoral votes that would have gone to her.
*To the 5.5% of people in Michigan who voted third party- if you had voted for Hillary, that’s 16 electoral votes that would have gone to her.
*To the 5% of people in New Hampshire who voted third party- if you had voted for Hillary, that’s 4 electoral votes that would have gone to her.
*To the 3.3% of people in Pennsylvania who voted third  party- if you had voted for Hillary, that’s 20 electoral votes that would have gone to her.
*To the 5.7% of people in Wisconsin who voted third party- if you had voted for Hillary, that’s 10 electoral votes that would have gone to her.

That is 90 electoral votes, more than enough to make Hillary president.   But instead you chose to subject the country for whatever selfish reason to an unqualified white male.   You knew this man was racist, misogynistic, sexist, and was widely reviled by non-white Americans who were telling you for months we openly feared what would happen if he became president, and you still voted for Trump anyway.

There is nothing you can say to me right now to justify that and the damage that we'll be trying to clean up from this electoral mess for the next 25-30 years.

Your third party votes greased the skids for a man endorsed by the Klan to become president.   By casting those votes, you enabled and cosigned his racist campaign strategy and ensured it will be used in future GOP campaigns..

Those of us in non-white America and TBLGQ World had to explain to our crying children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews who were already being bullied at school before Trump got elected that this man was going to be the next POTUS.

So spare me from now on that American exceptionalism bull feces.  You elected another failed white businessman with no political experience to the White House over a woman who was supremely qualified for the job.   Everybody else except white men have to be exceptional for the Oval Office, that's the message you sent to me and every other non white person in this county.

Your third party votes also set up the disgusting spectacle the world will witness on January 20 of President Obama having to hand over power to the man who disrespected him and his presidency for 8 years.

You peeps who voted third party still failed to meet the target for federal funding in 2020, so congratulations, you're still in the same boat you were in prior to this election. Was it worth throwing away a shot at liberal progressive control of the Senate and the SCOTUS?   From where non-white Americans like me sit, hell no it wasn't.

So frack you Jill Stein, Gary Johnson and your third party for putting me, the TBLGQ community, Latinx, Muslims, Asians, Native Americans, the disabled and every other marginalized American in jeopardy because your vanillacentric privileged political vanity was more important than keeping an unqualified candidate in Trump our of the White House.

You get to own Trump and whatever he and the GOP control of the federal government does to the country over the next four years.

Not Liking The Shady Comments Being Directed At Laverne Over 'Rocky Horror'

Image result for Laverne Cox rocky horror
I was parked in front of the television Thursday night watching Laverne Cox play the iconic role of Dr. Frank-n-Furter in the FOX reimagining of the Rocky Horror Picture Show.

I was shocked, but shouldn't have been surprised to hear some shady sniping coming once again from elements of trans community about the show.

I guess the only thing that would have made y'all happy is if a white trans actress had played that role instead of Laverne, huh?

Image result for laverne cox doubt
Well boo boo kitties, Black trans people are also actors in Hollywood, so burn that fact into your brains.   Laverne is the one they chose for the role, she has the talent to play it, has a BA in dance, and when the legal drama Doubt finally premieres on CBS I have the utmost confidence she will slay that Cameron Wirth role as well

Damn, here we have the historic moment of a trans person, and even more important to Black Trans World, a Black trans woman playing an iconic movie role in a prime time network television slot, and some of y'all wanna throw shade and be salty about that?

#StopTheShade, have some seats at your local multiplex and miss me with that BS, okay?

Image result for Laverne Cox rocky horrorWhite trans women have been the center of trans attention ever since Christine Jorgensen stepped off the airplane at JFK in February 1953.

It's not only past time for trans women of color to get some of that spotlight, it's also past time for you vanillacentric privileged malcontents sniping at Laverne for Rocky Horror to realize and burn into your brains there is room for all of us to shine.

I'm appreciating the fact that Laverne once again is making history, and sadly the disappointing shady chatter is proving to me once again why Afrocentric trans events like BTAC are necessary

It's alo proving to me once again that some haters are gonna hate even when it's a trans person of color making that positive history.

I Don't Need Your Permission To Have My Humanity Respected

In the latest example of white faux christian conservafool arrogance, a new anti-trans campaign with two white women as spokesmodels is trying to push the message that we trans people need to 'ask them first' before we push policies are are necessary because of their intolerance.

That's mighty white of them to demand that we 'ask them first' for policies that tell them they aren't allowed to disrespect and dehumanize us.

I didn't need your permission in 1994 when I transitioned and I damned sure don't need it now. Neither am I or anyone else in Trans World is going to beg you to deal with the reality that I and other trans people exist.

As me if I care if you trans oppressors like that or not.  Nor do I care for your extremely flawed interpretation of Scripture that you and other right wing organizations are using to try to mask the stench of your anti-trans hatred and bigotry.

Trans people are part of the diverse mosaic of human life, and we are perfectly made by and loved by God.  Contemplate that as you read Isaiah 56: 3-6, Matthew 19:12,  Galatians 3:28 at your next Bible study at your right wing hate megachurch.

We are exactly who we say we are.   Why does that scare you so much?

Get it through your skulls that I don't need your permission to have my humanity respected and my constitutional rights as a American citizen protected.

You Really Tried To Whitewash Stonewall Again, Roland Emmerich?

You would think that director Roland Emmerich, with the sequel to Independence Day coming out on Friday, would have learned his lesson last year to not piss me, the blogosphere, the Net and other TBLG people of color off.

Elizabeth Rivera e-mailed me the link to his interview in The Guardian, and was shocked when Emmerich's behind tried to go down the whitewashing route again.  When he was asked about his 2015 whitewashed Stonewall flop, he went there and said in the interview that 'Stonewall was a white event'.

"My movie was exactly what they said it wasn't it was politically correct.  It had black, transgender people in there.  We just got killed by one voice on the Internet who saw a trailer and said this is whitewashing Stonewall. Stonewall was a white event, let's be honest.  But nobody wanted to hear that any more."

Stonewallfilm

Really?  During Pride Weekend you try this?   That waste of digital film was whitewashing the history of the 1969 Stonewall riots, and I'm proud of being one of many voices on the Net who called your ass out for trying to go there in the first place.

Stonewall was kicked off by people of color, and there's ample photographic evidence and interviews confirming the participation of trans and other people of color in that June 28, 1969.  You then compounded the mistake of relegating major Stonewall historical figures Sylvia Rivera and Marsha P/ Johnson to minor character status in your whitewashed Stonewall movie fantasy by adding a fictional white main character that you admitted was written into the story to appeal to a straight white audience.

So yeah boo boo kitty, not sorry I called that Stonewall movie whitewashing out in my TransGriot post that went megaviral.  I'm an unapologetic equal opportunity truth teller with a widely read blog and it would have been a crime against history for me to not do so.

If by doing so I may have been the spark that jumped off the backlash and protests that were the catalysts to the movie tanking, then that's all good.

The critics spotted the same whitewashing I noted, Mr Emmerich, so let's not go there trying to minimize the vocal opposition to your movie even though you already tried to.  Next time you do one of those movies based on a documented historical event, try grounding it in some historical truth and going from there.  You'll find it may be better for your box office receipts.

I see it has become necessary to school you again until you get it that the Stonewall Inn was the hangout for TBLG people of color and low income LGBT people in New York, not Fire Island closeted gays.  When faced with more NYPD oppression and harassment, those TBLG people of color, who had nothing to lose and were tired of being oppressed, jumped off a rebellion that subsequently led to the start of the modern TBLG rights movement.

And I got that info from not only reading the historical accounts of it, but people who were actually there like Miss Major and a Houston based Big Five gay leader i cross path with on a regular basis in Ray Hill.

Don't Mess with Earth! New Independence Day: Resurgence TV Spot Debuts
I was going to move on from last year and spend some of my T-bills at my local multiplex to check out the Independence Day Resurgence sequel since I loved the original movie, but now I think I'll spend that money on something else like vendors at my local pride event.

You know, the weekend we have those parades and festivals around the country and the world to celebrate the 1969 riot jumped off by BTLG people of color that started the modern TBLG movement.
