Michigan's transphobic conservanegro state legislator Paul Scott (R-Grand Blanc), who ran a failed Secretary of State campaign heavy on the transphobia but was elected to a second term in the Michigan House, is now facing the ire of the constituents he pissed off with his conservastances.
A recall petition and its language was approved by the Genessee County Election Board which will allow the Recall Paul Scott group to start collecting the 9446 valid signatures they will need by August 5 to get it on the ballot.
Kat at ENDAblog let fly with her thoughts (as usual) about this good news from Michigan, and I am definitely happy to see this cookie chomping knee-grow potentially have to face a recall election. Couldn't happen to a nicer transphobe.
Your GOP flavored BS is costing teachers and other people in your district jobs, and it will nice if their and other people's votes in a recall election cost you yours.
Got Oreo's?

Saturday Sellout-Ken Blackwell
Time for you TransGriot peeps to get your learn on about another one of the useful fools in the service of the GOP that wants to oppress me.Meet John Kenneth Blackwell, senior fellow at the Family Research Council, a vocal conservacritic of President Obama, 1971 graduate of Xavier University, former mayor of Cincinnati from 1979-80 as a Democrat and former HUD undersecretary in George HW Bush's administration in 1989-90.
He left Daddy Bush's administration to run for office in Ohio, later become the Ohio Secretary of State in 1998 and served from 1999-2007. He ran for governor of Ohio in 2006 and got pimp slapped by Democrat Ted Strickland, who beat him by a whopping 24% margin despite Religious Reich support .
Blackwell also ran for RNC chair in 2009 but withdrew after the fifth round of voting in the chairmanship election eventually won by Michael Steele.
He's also author of the 2010 waste of trees, Blueprint: Obama's Plan to Subvert the Constitution and Build an Imperial Presidency,
For you GL folks who can't get married in Ohio, he's the reason you can't because he was the driving force pushing for the 2004 adoption of the state constitutional amendment that bans recognition or the performance of same gender marriage and civil unions..
But besides his conservafool positions, he is most hated by much of the African American community for his controversial role in the 2004 presidential election. As Ohio Secretary of State he is the chief election officer, and his status as an honorary co-chair for the 2004 Bush campaign in the state combined with some questionable partisan decisions caused people to ask questions about the conflict of interest. .
It was magnified by the fact that Bush carried Ohio, its 20 electoral votes and subsequently the 2004 election by less than 120,000 votes despite widespread reports of voter irregularities.
Those questionable decisions ranged from approving the use of Diebold electronic machines when concerns were being raised in 2003 about their accuracy (and owning stock in the company at the time) to multiple Secretary of State rulings later struck down by court rulings that attempted to restrict ballot access and suppress African-American and collegiate voter turnout in the state. Many African American and collegiate precincts in the state were allocated less voting machines than suburban ones, which caused long lines to vote on election day.
There was chatter that he was considering a run against Sen. Sherrod Brown (D) next year for his US senate seat but he has dropped that bid.
So yeah, there's not much love for J. Kenneth Blackwell amongst our peeps in Ohio or elsewhere in the nation for that matter.

Herman Cain, Take Your Own Advice
One of the things I can't stand about the conservafools is their foaming at the mouth ignorance is strength mantra. They call anyone with an informed opinion about the issues a 'librul'. (and I'm proud of being one, frack you very much). They sanctimoniously claim to love and revere the constitution, or more precisely the 2nd and 10th amendments to it, but won't acknowledge the other 25 amendments on that 'goddamned scrap of paper' as the previous occupant of the Oval Office called it..
Was chuckling when I heard about the recent presidential campaign kickoff event in which Herman Cain, one of my recent Saturday Sellout profiles, made an embarrassing gaffe.
While lecturing people to 're-read' the constitution, he made this statement:
We don’t need to rewrite the Constitution of the United States of America, we need to reread the Constitution and enforce the Constitution,” Cain said. “And I know that there are some people that are not going to do that, so for the benefit of those that are not going to read it because they don’t want us to go by the Constitution, there’s a little section in there that talks about life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.”
Um dude, 'the life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness' statement is part of the Declaration of Independence. So is “when any form of government becomes destructive of those ideals, it is the right of the people to alter or abolish it.”
You conservapeeps are so busy trying to rewrite and misinterpret the Constitution to fit your ideological point of view and selfish gain you not only haven't been reading it, you don't know the meaning of any amendments other than the 2nd and 10th, and you're loud and wrong on those, too.
Herman Cain, take your own advice and re-read the Constitution. Start with the 13th 14th and 15th Amendments, take copious notes and work your way around to the other 24 as well.
This video should also help you as well.

Notorious GOP's Reign Coming To End?
2009 Shut Up Fool of the Year Michael Steele's reign as the first Black* chair of the National Conservative White People's Party (oops, the Republicans) may be coming to an end today.
I guess they want a new white leader of their party to match their nearly all white House congressional leadership. If you think I'm being harsh or overly sarcastic, Rep. Lynn Jenkins (R-KS) let the KKKat out of the bag with her 'Great White Hope' dog whistle comment two years ago.
He is facing four White candidates vying to knock him off while campaigning on the theme that 'they aren't him'.
Umm hmm. Grab the popcorn, this installment of political drama in Hollywood for ugly people (AKA Washington DC) is going to be interesting to watch.
The election will be held starting at noon CST and carried on C-SPAN. I expect this sellout will be tossed aside now that they no longer need him to be their melanin enhanced face of their party. His chances of getting reelected Republican Party chair for a second term are about as good as Michael Vick being invited to a PETA event.
But then again, you never know.
