Shut Up Fool Awards-Fall Back 2013 Edition

It's that time again (pun intended).  Back on the second Sunday in March we sprung forward to Daylight Savings Time in much of the USA.   Now with the approach of the first Sunday in November and cooler weather it's time to fall back to standard time.

So that means you get that hour of sleep back you lost in March.

Something else it's time for since it's Friday is to choose what fool, fools or group of fools won this week's TransGriot Shut up Fool Awards.

So let's get started, TransGriot readers.

Honorable Mention number one is a group award for that cesspool of transphobia, the Bossip gossip blog and their corporate masters who are making page click money off the pimping of transphobia

Honorable Mention number two goes to city of Houston mayoral candidate Ben Hall, who during a recent KUHF-FM interview, not only cosigned with what a homophobic caller had to say,  Hall joined in on the hate by announcing that, in his opinion, it was unacceptable for transgendered people who are “anatomically another gender” to be treated as anything but the anatomical gender. Further, he doubled down on the prejudice by fully opposing a non-discrimination ordinance, calling homosexuality a “lifestyle choice.”

Honorable mention number three is Nevada state rep Jim Wheeler (R-Gardnerville) who said during an August meeting of the Storey County Republicans that he would vote for slavery if that's what his constituents wanted.   When the video of said comment hit the Net, Wheeler then griped about 'liberal operatives' trying to frame him as a bigot.

Dude, if you don't want to be called a bigot, don't do or say stuff that leads people to the conclusion that you ARE a bigot.

Honorable Mention number four is a group award to every white person who wore blackface or dressed in racist costumes for Halloween.   And let me repeat what I wrote in a post calling some folks out about it:
My people and my culture are not costumes for you put on for your or your people's entertainment and amusement.  And when we call your azz out about it, you don't get to tell me as the offended POC party what is and isn't offensive or to 'lighten up' about it.

Honorable mention number five is the dishonorable senator from Alberta and new leading contender for 2013 Shut Up Fool of the Year in Sen Rafael Edward Cruz, Jr (Teabagger-TX) .   Teddy had the cojones to say with Sybrina Fulton sitting in front of him at a Senate Stand Your Ground hearing Tuesday that the law is beneficial to African-Americans.

Really?  In what delusional facts free conservaworld did  you come up with that toro poo poo?  Try selling those woof tickets to Marissa Alexander, who is facing another trial in March 2014 just for firing a warning shot through the ceiling of her home..

This week's Shut Up Fool winner is Kanye West.

Jeff Winbush basically laid out the case in this The Domino Theory blog post why he so richly deserves this week's award.   But in case you missed it, let me count the way how Kanye showed his azz this week and earned SUF honors this week .

First Kanye said that he and Kimmy fake cakes were more influential than the Obamas and Kim deserved a Vogue magazine cover more than the FLOTUS did.

Yeah, right.   What the POTUS said about you in 2009 is probably the correct response to your idiotic comments about he and the First Lady.

Then Kanye claimed in a radio interview he was claiming the Confederate flag as his own, and took it a step further by selling merchandise with the flag emblazoned on it.

Umm, I'd need another post to properly denounce his azz for that one.

Dude, put down the hallucinogenic drugs and join the rest of us in reality based America. If your mother Dr. Donda West were still here, she would have slapped the taste out of your mouth and put her foot up your azz for saying and doing something that stupid.

Kanye West, shut up fool.
